I had the same thought. I think Man United hasn't shown good progress so far. After the Ferguson era ended, Man United's achievement which was quite satisfying was when they were coached by Jose Mourinho, where in 16/17 Man United managed to win 3 trophies. They indeed failed to get the Premier League trophy but got 3 other trophies, Isn't that a good achievement compared to what they get now?

Initially, Ten Hag was expected to provide better changes for Man United but if we look at how Man United is now, I think Ten Hag didn't carry out his role well and maybe it would be better if Man United immediately looked for a replacement for him.

Sometimes Man United fans want to defend themselves in a subtle way and continue to maintain the "elite" nickname for a club that is currently in limbo this season. But for me personally it doesn't mean anything because what I see in the day are the results. Not really, because I can't see why someone would describe Manchester United as an elite club. People tend to think about clubs as an elite club because they have done amazing things in the past, but why should Galatasaray or Copenhagen care about what Manchester United has done 20 years ago? Both these teams have been fearless and Manchester United has been innocuous for a while now. If anything, Manchester United should end this group in 4th place and neither play the EL nor the CL after the end of the year.

Football is different with high spirits, we watch games were the elite clubs get thrashed by mediocre and these events happens on daily basis. I've prepared my mind to accept defeats from any club. Manchester United was overhyped this season in their first UCL game against Bayern Munich but it turn out they couldn't maintain such level of performance against Copenhagen and Galatasaray this season. The likes of Kronos and Modric has successfully mentored young guys who will take their position. For the case of Bellingham, I am just in short of words about his insane performance.

Truthfully, Im not holding my breath waiting for Manchester United to do something amazing. Theres no reason to be optimistic about their chances this season based on their past performances. They've been losing to Brighton, Tottenham, and even Arsenal. Nobody is doing well, not just the big names like Bayern Munich. Honestly, they couldnt even beat Copenhagen and Galatasaray at home. Its not likely that they will quickly recover against Bayern. The club needs to rethink its approach and maybe even its leadership. We were looking for change from Ten Hag, but it hasnt happened yet, and its been months. He might give up for good on the last day of the UCL soccer games.

I am looking forward to see how Real Madrid succeeds in making the transition especially in their midfield. Bellingham was a present from heaven for them because he is filling so many gaps that Real Madrid feared could become a problem for them. But now he partially solves the striker problem, also adds strength to the midfield and also takes on responsibility for some tasks in the defense. I guess there is nothing else you can ask a player to do for the team. But Kroos will also be gone in the near future and his passing was one of the best I have ever seen in football.
