Although Im happy for Newcastle in the Champions League, I cant help but worry about them. Especially being in the dreaded Group F, their trip has been a wild ride. I didnt think they had a chance at first, like a lot of other people did, especially after that first game. They have been a nice surprise with how they've played since then, especially against teams like PSG. Even in such a tough group, they've shown that they can handle themselves.
More importantly they lose many players, they can only degrade to Europa League or get nothing. They can't get any new player because the transfer window still not yet open, I guess it's fine to lose as they already get experience, this is their first time to enter Champions League with the current players. Not many team make an outstanding achievement for their first league.

When it comes to Barcelona topic I think it would still be improvement even if they get eliminated right after reaching the 1/8-finals stage. Because I mean they have been unable to even get past the group stage for the last 2 seasons. The fans and the board must be waiting for the team to do better than that finally in this season. Barcelona are very close to guaranteeing their slot for 1/8-finals now already. They had better finish as the leader to go beyond the expectations as much as possible.

After that it is going to be up to the strength of their opponent about how far they can go on. If they face an opponent like Manchester City then it is over for them.  Grin

I know, so expect Barcelona to reach somewhat around the same level that you said. I don't think they are going to get knocked out from the round of 16. But when it comes to the quarter-final, I don't think Barcelona will be able to get past that successfully. And if Barcelona actually can reach the semifinals I will think that it is a win for Barcelona. Well, I mean an improvement. And I certainly hope that Barcelona is going to take the Champions League competition, a little more seriously. Because they are not doing, as well as they should be in the La Liga competition, to be honest. But with all the problems that they are facing, I understand it is going to be really hard.

What is the fate of Newcastle United in the champions league. This is a very big question I have been asking myself since this week. When Newcastle qualified for the champions League, I was very happy for them but when the champions league fixture landed them in the group of death, I pitied thek and predicted that they will not qualify. There first match supported my claim. But from their second match, it seems that they had big chances of qualifying from the group. But now they are at the bottom, I don't know their fate again.
Considering the number of injuries Newcastle has, what is their fate in the champions league group of death?
Although Im happy for Newcastle in the Champions League, I cant help but worry about them. Especially being in the dreaded Group F, their trip has been a wild ride. I didnt think they had a chance at first, like a lot of other people did, especially after that first game. They have been a nice surprise with how they've played since then, especially against teams like PSG. Even in such a tough group, they've shown that they can handle themselves.

But its hard to stay too positive when you see how bad things are for them right now - they're at the bottom and accidents are increasing. It will be very hard to win the game against PSG, especially since it will be played on PSG's backyard. On the other hand, sport is unpredictable, and Newcastle has already shown that they can shock people. Our fingers are crossed that they can find the same drive that helped them beat PSG earlier.

This year's Champions League has become quite competitive. Bayern Munich  and Manchester City have  very strong squads. And they  are consistently playing well. In addition,  Arsenal, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Real  Sociedad Atlético  Madrid and Inter Milan  have performed very well. The four La Liga teams Barcelona, Real Madrid, Atletico  Madrid and Sociedad have played well and will  surely qualify for the knockout rounds. City, Munich and  Madrid are considered to be the  favorites for this year's title. However  the road to qualifying for the Champions League final will not be easy for them.
But a lot of things can happen until these games for the knockout round finally begin. For teams like Real Madrid and Bayern Munich it is incredibly important that the key players stay healthy. It would really change a lot for one of those teams if for example Harry Kane gets injured or Bellingham gets injured. I think Manchester City, due to having so many midfielders with offensive potential, would be most able to have a plan in case Haaland is injured. For Bayern Munich it would be tough and for Real Madrid Bellingham is also irreplaceable.
You are right, Manchester City is dependent on Haaland, Munich is dependent on Kane's performance and Madrid is now dependent on Bellingham's performance. And if these players suffer injuries in the knockout round, it will become much more difficult for the teams to qualify for the quarter finals. Because almost every team in the knockout round will be strong. So it will be much more difficult to win without a full strength squad. However, if clubs are not too unlucky their key players will not suffer injuries. Because Kane, Bellingham and Haaland are all fit enough.
Yeah what you said is true but however I don't think Manchester City depend much on Haaland because irrespective of how good in performance Haaland is there are players in Manchester City who also plays his scoring role very well because there are some matches he could hardly score while others will maintain the scoring and also with how strong Manchester City is, it will be very difficult for one person to have the leading role because all the players are very much in a good shape.

In times of Bayern Munich do to how there performance is Harry Kane is obviously there key player because there is no much of a competitive performance there.

With the team returning from injuries I think, they’ll become that unbeaten team everyone’s scared to play, these 4 teams are pretty cool but I think Bayern might not get into the semis except they work on being clinical and being tactical in style of play, but I see Real Madrid going quite far in this year’s UCL and probably taking the trophy back to Spain.
If some people speculate that Bayern Munich will not qualify until the semi finals, I hope this team can qualify for the semi finals.
not because I am Munich fan but I just want to see very strong and interesting competition to watch when Real madrid, Man City, Inter and Bayern Munich will continue to compete strongly to qualify in each round and I am sure there will be Kane mainstay player in Munich team , Tuchel has confidence and tries playing style with safer strategy to stay through to next round.

maybe we are speculating too early about which team will qualify for higher rounds, but there no harm in trying to guess who really has right opinion.

Bayern is one of strongest team this season. It has a very strong club and adding kane to the line up made bayern is very strong. kane has been also recording fantastic result by making 17 goals from 13 games. that's unbelievable result. This can be more once kane will be fully adapted to the club.
People who said that bayern will not be able to go to the final was not even aware if bayern is far stronger than last season. it has muller and kane. These guys are also good combination at this moment. Leroy sane was still there too.
It doesn't even make sense to see how people called bayern will not be able to go to the semi final.

We must also aware with the quality owned by any clubs based on their line up. We can correctly predict which club that will be going to the semi final. The most potential clubs will be 1. real madrid 2. Man city 3. Bayern.
I was even valuing barcleona under those clubs. People who regularly watched UCL agreed that if those clubs are regularly playing in UCL.
Bayern, man city and rela madrid are always always able to passing the group stage as well as top 16.

The previous landslide victory against Celtic put Atletico in first place in Group E with 8 points. However, this will not guarantee that they can qualify easily because the competition is still open with two other teams, namely Lazio and Feyenoord, who have collected 7 and 6 points respectively. These three teams each have a difference of 1 to 2 points and the remaining two matches will determine the fate of these three teams to qualify for the round of 16.

In my opinion, Atletico is still the favorite to qualify considering they are in the top 16 of the Champions League and maybe in second place we will see an exciting competition between Lazio and Feyenoord. Actually I prefer Feyenoord to qualify with Atletico, but sometimes Lazio's mentality in this competition cannot be underestimated and they have a good defense. So, I hope there will be surprises in group E later which will be no less exciting than the other groups.

if Atletico can win the remaining matches, that means they will qualify. facing Feyenoord and Lazio is a decisive match. The previous meeting with Lazio ended in a draw, and Atletico had a chance to win by playing at home.
maybe Atletico and Lazio will qualify. they are more favorites now than Feyenoord. although their chances will still be determined with the two remaining matches in the group stage.
Atletico only needs 1 more win from the remaining 2 matches and if you look at the strength it is very realistic for Atletico to qualify even as group winners, in fact now Feyenoord and Lazio are competing fiercely to get through the group phase because currently Feyenoord and Lazio are only separated Only 1 point and in terms of strength, Feyenoord and Lazio are quite evenly matched so these two teams still have the same chance of qualifying from the group.

I can agree with you when you say Manchester City and Bayern Munich depends on their natural strikers to score goals but in between, they're useless without those players from the midfield and flanks creating and working chances out for them to score goals.
For Manchester City, they have Doku, Jack Grealish, Phil Foden, Bernado Silva and Rodri all contributing to make Erling Haaland a damn great player.
I can say same for Bayern Munich, Harry Kane couldn't have been able to score all those goals alone, Sane, Gnabry and all other innit that club play to his strength.

But I can't say same for Real Madrid. Did you see the games they played without Jude Bellingham? Real Madrid may work around a certain player but not Jude Bellingham ( Even if he is a fantastic player. )
Check out the games Real Madrid played against Braga in the Champions League and them Valencia in La Liga.

Just like i said before the competition for the team who will be qualified in group E is belongs to 3 teams Atletico Madrid, Feyenoord and Lazio so these teams had equal chances to qualified but indeed if we see from the schedules Atletico Madrid is more hard compared to Lazio this because Atletico Madrid upcoming match is against Feyenoord although in the first meeting Feyenoord was lose but this team cannot easily to beated and at home Feyenoord records was very fantastic that from 8 latest home matches Feyenoord can able to gets 7 wins so these records is proven Feyenoord was very strong during playing at their home ground and even i was thinking probably Feyenoord can able to overcomes Atletico Madrid and if this really happend then Atletico Madrid will be in a difficult situation especially for 6th match they have to fight against Lazio

The teams in Group F still have the same chance of qualifying for the next round. The remaining two matches will change their fate if they manage to secure 3 points in the next match. As you said, from the start they performed brilliantly by winning but in the end they failed and that was the fierce competition that occurred in Group F.
These four teams still have a chance and I think we will see until the last round to determine who will qualify for the round of 16.

AC Milan was also very underestimated before, but when they managed to get 3 points against PSG, it opened up their opportunity to qualify for the next round. For Dortmund, they are more efficient in reversing the fact that previously they were in 4th place and now they are leading the standing. I want to see Ac milan and Dortmund successfully qualify for the next round and Newcastle united and PSG will compete to take 3rd place in the European League. It would be a big surprise for me if that happened.
Indeed, the remaining two matches ahead will determine who will be able to qualify for the next round and victory in these two matches will really be contested so it will be quite fierce match.
The four teams must prepare everything so they can get points, if they win both matches they can get 6 points and when they get it they are guaranteed to have a safe place in this group phase.
We don't know who is the strongest and makes it through, we just have to wait and watch the match.

Initially I thought PSG and Dortmund were the two most dominant candidates to qualify, but now seeing what is happening there will be big change where uncertainty is presented in the next two matches, group F is really the most difficult group so far.
There is some truth about every team trying to win from the start and now we can feel how fierce the competition is between the top teams.
IMO, we can't assume the chance of Dortmund and PSG for now, because the points different is too close. AC Milan have a chance to beat dortmund in the next match, if it happens, Dortmund will be in the third, in case PSG win over Newcastle. We have to wait the next week match, but I personally still support AC Milan with their problem can go to the next round, I know this is will be hard for Milan, since they are facing inconsistent lately, as a fan I will be waiting them give their best form vs Dortmund and get 3 points.
That was my previous prediction at the start of the group phase and it looked like PSG and Dortmund were worthy candidates but as time went by in 4 matches it became clear that the four teams were really almost equal in terms of quality of performance.
It just that when I see the latest developments and news about these four teams, it makes me even more doubtful about having favorite on one of the teams.

Although Bayan Munich does not have injury problems, Manchester City has injury problems because of this, Manchester City is now very dependent on Haaland. But I wouldn't say that Real Madrid only depends on Jude Bellingham, although this midfielder regularly scores goals for Real Madrid, but along with him, there are several other star players in attacking positions who play important roles for Real Madrid. Kevin De Bruyne is one of Manchester City's key players but has been sidelined since the start of the season due to injury, meaning that the onus has fallen on Haaland in his absence. Haaland's performance seems to be slightly weaker than last season, the only reason being Kevin De Bruyne's injury. Kevin De Bruyne is great at assisting other players in the team to score goals which is why everyone else in the team gets goals. With Kevin De Bruyne back from injury, Manchester City will be a stronger team and Haaland will be more attacking.

It's true, you are too quick to draw conclusions about which teams will qualify from group F. The difference in points in this group is small, 4, 5, 6 and 7 points for each team. There are still 2 matches remaining, these teams still have the potential to get full points. For me, the 2 teams that will qualify from this group are Paris Saint-Germain and AC Milan. The next matchday will determine which teams have great potential to advance to the next round.
If in the end Milan can complete their journey to the round of 16, then that will really be something very enjoyable. PSG and Milan have the chance to qualify if they are able to beat Dortmund, but anything can happen, even PSG still has the potential to fail to advance to the round of 16 this season.

I'm not completely ignoring Newcastle's chances, but I have to admit that Newcastle are not favorites to qualify even though they managed to beat PSG in their previous match. I hope PSG can get their revenge in the home game against Newcastle, so that will definitely disqualify them for the Europa League and or completely wipe out their hopes in Europe this season.

AC Milan will face Borussia Dortmund on the next UCL matchday, this match will also be a home match for them which makes them have a greater chance of getting 3 points. Apart from that, bookies also show that AC Milan is the favorite to win with odds @ 1.95 on the 1X2 bet. If they really win the match, they will be in second place in Group F or could even be top of the standings if Paris Saint-Germain is unable to get full points when facing Newcastle.
This group was the group of death to me because almost all the teams in this group are good.Newcastke is so unfortunate to be in this kind of group in their first time of qualifying for champions league after a long while.I am surprised for Dortmund, that they are the people topping the group, but I'm still feeling that PSG will get eliminated with Newcastle in this group because the last game they played against Milan,I thought they were going to win,I was surprised that Milan still won them.It simply means that PSG is no longer the way it used to be when Neymar and Messi were still in the team, althought they didn't get to the final of the competition any time, but they were always a threat to teams because of the stars in the team.

Actually, Barcelona is in a group that is quite profitable for him because in Group H there is no team stronger than him, so the possibility of qualifying for Barcelona is very big even though FC Porto and Shakhtar Donetsk can win in the next match. Because in the last match in this group stage, Barcelona could have won more easily at home to Royal Antwerp, which so far does not have a single point in group H. So Barcelona's chances of qualifying for the next round in the Champions League are clearly quite big for him.
Champions are for the best teams and watching Barcelona performance, they're presently in good shape and winning happens to be their priority. Group H is too easy for the Blaugrana this season, what barrier could hold them from not qualifying to the next phase? Except they decline in performance and having zero winnings in next two games. Xavi Hernandez is not willing to take such risks, rather he's keen on moving to significant phase in UCL. Barcelona sit in balance position to qualify from group H table this season. They have the necessary good quality players and they're absolutely ready to take on opposition.

Talking about who will be champion this season is really not important to talk about at this time, because there are still many strong candidates out there..

Barcelona must win one more match to ensure they qualify for the grub phase because there is a possibility that Shakhtar Donetsk will be ahead, because Shakhtar Donetsk and Porto are able to provide resistance for Barcelona, of course Xavi Hernandez is able to provide this victory to advance to the next round.

Real Sociedad sacrificed some games in the La Liga I'm afraid while they were trying to get maximum number of points in 4 games in the Champions League. Was it worth it? I think it was definitely.  Smiley

From now on they can concentrate on upcoming La Liga games easier to get better results. But they wouldn't just shift all of their focus there of course. They would try to qualify as the leader in the Champions League as well. But I don't feel like they will make it considering the last game is away against Inter.  Sad
Real Sociedad did an extraordinary job in the group phase where they were able to lead the standings in group D.
So for Benfica, who appeared quite impressive in the Champions League last season, but this season it looks like they will fall early because they didn't manage to win a single win. They don't even have a chance to catch up with Real Sociedad and Inter Milan who are currently at the top of the standing. Group D already belongs to Real sociedad and Inter Milan to qualify for the round of 16 and they are only competing to qualify as group winners. Indeed, in the domestic league Real sociedad is not in good enough condition because they are outside the top 4 in fact they are already 6 points behind Atletico Madrid who are in the top 4.

Atletico Madrid also showed their best quality in the group phase by successfully leading group E. Even if we look at the 4 representatives from Laliga, they performed well in the Champions League by successfully leading the standing in the group they were part of. Maybe for the top 16 all 4 representatives from Laliga will qualify and they have the most delegates to be able to dominate the Champions League again this season.

The international break was really giving bad impact to the club. I know that this is one of how players were dedicating themselves to their beloved countries but there are many bad news have come. Just like this

This can become a loss for barcelona since he was injured. I don't really know when he was injured, but this is also giving bad impact to the barcelona. The club is still having two important matches remaining. Missing him will be also giving big impact to the club as there was no someone who capable enough to guarding the goal net. The international breaks were giving unnecessary injured.

The same thing is also happening to the vini from real madrid as well. Will ter stegen able to play next week? Let's see. Naglesmann has sent off him back to the club.

I really admire the work Real Sociedad have done in Group D so far by the way. They have collected 10 points and they are the leading team as well in a group with teams like Inter and Benfica. I wasn't expecting Benfica to be this terrible of course before the group stage started. They just can't perform the same as they do in their domestic league.  Sad

This has created an opportunity for Salzburg to move them out of their way to make it to the Europa League as well but let's see. There are still two more games for Benfica which can be seen as an opportunity to make it to the Europa League instead at least. But I can't trust them even as much as I do for Salzburg.
Yes they have done a good job so far in the Champions League group stages. They have confirmed themselves to be in the round of 16 with Inter Milan representing group D. In the last 2 matches they will play, they can be more relaxed because they can rotate players to anticipate things that are not desirable. Things like this are an advantage in itself, because they can breathe more in the midst of this very busy schedule.
La Liga is a bit of a struggle right now, which is inversely proportional to what they can do in the Champions League. The increased competition in La Liga is one of the causes in my opinion.

They sacrificed La Liga games? How did they do that or where did you find that our or read that? I think I missed any public statement from the Real Sociedad coach where he said that they will be sacrificing La Liga games for the Champions League. This seems to be a new thing then because I never heard of any team that sacrificed league games at the start of the season to win the group games in the Champions League. If you like please share a source where that has been confirmed by Real Sociedad.

Sad
