Everything could still happen because there are several more matches yet to be played, Manchester United is very obsessed with getting through to the knockout rounds to continue their work in the UCL. I have a slightly different opinion from yours. I believe that PSG and Newcastle will be the next two teams to advance. Lowering expectations is not a good way to improve quality of a team. They must have ambitious plan and train hard, work hard, play seriously to achieve ambitious targets. It can not be achieved after one match, one season but if they can maintain it, after some seasons, they will achieve big things by considerable improvements like Arsenal with Arteta in the last three seasons and Manchester City with Pep Guardiola in the last six seasons or Liverpool with their rebuild plan with Klopp years ago.

Manchester United is a good team but they are not in good form right now. If you search for Manchester United in the English Premier League, you will find Manchester United fail in the English Premier League, if you search for Manchester United in the Champions League, you will find Manchester United fail in the Champions League. It is natural to lower expectations of a team that fails in every area. Galatasaray Manchester United is a strong enough team but I can't give any guarantee for Manchester United that Manchester United will do well against Galatasaray. Good or bad the performance from the club matters a lot. It's not only about the competition from the team but being qualified for the further round in the UCL will help the club in getting much more money. Money is the main why many clubs are targeting the UCL spot at this moment. It's not wise by calling it if a bad performance club shall not thing being qualified to the next round as an important thing. I don't even agree with this. The money raised from winning more match in UCL will be also helping the club so much in earning as much money as possible.
That's why many clubs are competing for the UCL competition. The club can earn a few millions from playing any games in the UCL. I think that you shall also consider it from the financial factor as well.
Im not doubting why club was putting UCL spot like win a trophy. I think that mostly of teams were aiming for money and trophy not only to get trophy from this competition.

Manchester United isn't even doing well in the Europa League. They suffered a three-goal home loss to Newcastle. This is so bad that Manchester United has turned into a mediocre team, that both the coach and the players are at a loss as to how to perform well enough to win meaningful or important games.

Yes, the match Man United vs Bayern Munich will be the final match in UCL group stage. I think it is too early to guess which team to win the match. I am no more confident of Manchester United that they will be able to win Galatasary.
Yes, Manchester United may have a better squad but they have lost their confidence. Good squad without confidence is nothing. This night they have crashed out of the Carabo cup, conceeding 3 goals from Newcastle. This is happening after they also lost to Manchester city by 3 goals also.
A whole lot of thing is wrong with Manchester United and I think they do not deserve the champions League slot. Europa League is better chance for them and lot champions League.

I don't think if Eric Ten Hag really thinks about the Champions League and he even knows himself that the Manchester United we see right now is far from a team to play in the great matches in the Champions League. In fact, Manchester United should just focus on the Premier League and try to take a better place in the table to save a ticket for the next Champions League in which they can have more chance.

I wouldn't say United are playing inconsistently. For example, now they are losing the second match in a row with a score of 0-3. No team will wish to settle for less when they have the capability or some hope in them to qualify for the next round. Just to play in that round is better for them and will increase their rankings in general with the other incentives that comes with it. There shouldn’t be anything like managing a team first time playing in a competition, your strategy and tactics employed in this competition will determine how far you can go with your team and I know a good coach will excel in that regard. Just like Eric Ten Hag, he hasn’t shown much commitment to lead his team to the next round of the competition, I also doubt their qualification at this stage.

I know, that is the best opportunity for Manchester United to win maximum points. There are only two matches they are most likely to win in the remaining group stage matches, namely against Copenhagen and also Galatasaray. I believe Manchester United can win it instead of letting Galatasaray progress to the round of 16 by beating Manchester United in the second leg, that's possible but I think differently.

I still believe Manchester United can qualify for the round of 16 this season even though so far they have only collected 3 points from 3 matches. Ten Hag must maximize his players' abilities in the next 3 matches and take advantage of every easy match to win 3 points. The next 2 wins would certainly be enough to get them qualify.

And I am inclined to agree with them. PSG failed once against Newcastle, but they beat Dortmund comfortably and destroyed Milan at home. I would say it's important and every team will work on it. Ten Hag and Manchester United certainly have plans to qualify for the round of 16 regardless of whether they fail there or maybe qualify for the quarter-finals. Every stage they go through with a win will be rewarded accordingly, so that is part of the plan for all teams in the Champions League rather than the title.

Manchester United's chances are not good in the Champions League this season, but that should not be taken to mean that they do not want to get to the last 16 and higher stages.
