Now all Real Madrid need is to secure a place to open up their chances of qualifying for the last 16 via the play-off. They must be able to win the remaining two matches against Salzburg and Brest, this result is very important for Madrid to determine their fate in the UCL this season. Lately their performance has improved, they need to fight harder because when they qualify for the knock-out round they will face a stronger team.
The other two teams that Real Madrid must face in this standings are actually not that difficult and strong teams even though Brest is in a much better position than Real Madrid at this time. However, considering that Real Madrid must be able to secure their position in order to advance to the playoffs, of course they will do it very well and will not underestimate any opponent.
Madrid is a big team in the UCL and always appears professional and always tries its best to qualify for the next round and even tries to reach the final round.
Madrid also never underestimates any team because they are aware that the UCL is a prestigious competition that makes teams that look weak become stronger here. So in the remaining matches, Madrid really tries their best to qualify for the last 16 even though they have to go through the playoffs as others have said here.
Seeing Madrid's opponent, it seems easy for Ancelotti to provide the right strategy so that he can bring home full points from the remaining matches.

Real Madrid have performed poorly in the opening few matches of the Champions League, but they have bounced back. Maybe Barcelona won't do very well in the Champions League in the end but I think if Real Madrid can field every player in their starting XI they can beat any team in the Champions League. From Barcelona to Real Madrid, we have high expectations in the Champions League and Real Madrid knows very well that we have to do well in the Champions League, so if we trust Real Madrid, maybe they won't disappoint us. We will definitely want to see a good performance from Real Madrid in the upcoming Champions League matches. Since there are still good prospects and enough opportunities, I hope that Real Madrid will make good use of those opportunities.
I must admit that Madrid did not perform satisfactorily because they have not found their best format after bringing in Mbappe. We can understand that but there is no need to be surprised that no matter how bad Madrid is at the beginning of the season, they will slowly return to the right track. The Champions League is their playing field every season and everyone knows who the king of UCL is until now. Real Madrid success is hard to stop even in the midst of declining performance, Real Madrid can find their own way out.
They have a Champions League mentality that no other European club has. As Pep Guardiola said: If you want to win the Champions League you have to get rid of Real Madrid first.
They has  wasted a lot of points in the semi league phase which has left them struggling to qualify for the play offs, indeed madrid's status as favourites in the UCL cannot be lost even though this season they are in bad shape, in my opinion, madrid just need to find their best form and also the return of many injured players will certainly allow them to re-enter the title race this season, but certainly now they must find a way to qualify for the knockout phase first and after that return can to show their strength to reach  final again such as the previous seasons.

The Real Madrid am seeing now isn't all that certain that they can do that although I know it's take just a single game to get things working and spiced up because Real Madrid as you said are not in their best form and have been doing extremely bad in both competition also mbappe that everyone was expecting to add up some flair to the team has also been struggling seriously to fit in and if the connection doesn't work then I think Madrid are definitely going to struggle

Madrid is already  beginning to win their games and can be said that they are now getting to the point point where they can be referred to as a team getting back to their winning ways, they have so far probably won two games in a row already and so that is beginning to build some level of confidence on them from their fans who now believes and think they are in a very good position to be back on track and would most likely get wins soon and will even get to the point where they can see that they are back in the title race.

Ancelotti has started to perform well, and if they continue to do so, I am confident they will win the league title this season. I was quite impressed by their game against Valencia because when I read Vini Jr's book Red Card, I assumed that Real Madrid would draw or lose, but they really put pressure on Valencia and did not give up, achieving three points and topping the league table. Ancelotti will continue to win his matches and lead the league. Because Real Madrid has come back with a terrific performance, and I am confident that he will be very tough for Madrid to lose because any mistakes they make will allow Athletico Madrid to overtake them in the table. And the champions league the remaining two games that remine for Madrid, am sure they will definitely achieve three point in the games and automatically qualify to the next round of the ucl. Let see how the ucl will goes because even Manchester City as started coming back to there best form because they have started winning there games in the league.

Although Real Madrid have performed poorly in the opening few matches of the Champions League, their performance has gradually improved compared to before. But I think you might be expecting too much from Real Madrid, they are a very strong team but there is no guarantee that they will win this year's UEFA Champions League. Also you compared Barcelona and Real Madrid this season in the Champions League.

So far, in the number of matches that Barcelona and Real Madrid have played in this season's Champions League, Barcelona is ahead. Also predicted that Real Madrid can win the UEFA Champions League this season. Maybe you should remember that Liverpool also have a chance to win.

The most important thing is that Real wins, although these victories are not always easy for them, but they show their character and achieve such important victories. Despite all the difficulties, they manage to move on and the most important thing is that they have learned to play without Carvajal and Militao, although their defense is still not ideal. The next game will be with Salzburg, in this match they must win, the opponent is weak, with a weak defense.

A club who has won 13 games out of 19, drew 4 and lost two  shouldn't be seen as a poor performing team. This is football and not handball. If Madrid should win every single game they play personally I will find the league boring. I mean there should be some draws, losses but what matters most is that the number of games won should be enough to earn them the title.

Mbappe spiced up the club. He is a winger who is converted to an top striker and he is doing great at that position. I mean not all players can adapt to new roles as perfect as Mbappe. On average he has scored 3.5 goals which is 9 goals since he was signed. What else do we want to prove his credibility.

Of course Barcelona has been playing very poorly lately, but I think they can overcome this in time. Barcelona is a team that has played very successful matches. We remember how they won against Real Madrid. So I think they can always be successful. They may have played badly in recent matches, but that doesn't mean they will always play badly.
They beat Real Madrid, and then what? They won a trophy?
This is exactly the problem with Barcelona in La Liga. The lads and fans maybe thought that it was all over after beat their Arch-rivals, not knowing they weren't even past halfway of the season. Look where they are today.

Champion's League is not won by one game. They have to perform all the way to the final whistle of the finals. IMO, I don't see them reaching even the finals.

You are absolutely right, playing one game well or winning a few games is not enough to win the Champions League. To win the CL you have to play consistently well every game and Barca is not consistent enough to win the CL. Unfortunately the same is true for Real Madrid at the moment. I don't think any team from Spain can win the CL this year.

Two consecutive wins in La Liga are crucial, more than just boosting the players confidence, these victories have reignited their chances of retaining the trophy this season. Real Madrid is now in the right momentum to maintain their consistency, most of the key players are available again, and their next three domestic matches also look manageable. So if Ancelotti manages to maintain the team performance, I personally assume Real Madrid will be able to achieve full points when facing Salzburg and Brest. We are still in a very crucial stage of the League phase, all possibilities can still happen. Real Madrid must reach the round of 16 first, to get back on track in the hunt for trophies.

I don't know the last time you watched Real Madrid games but as one who's been following the club since the start of the season, I can authoritatively tell you that Real Madrid actually have significantly improved from their poor start to the season. Reigning Spanish and European champions in recent games have shown strong mentality like that of a team that's very committed to retaining both the league title and the European title. Again, Real Madrid in case you've forgotten are managed by a very experienced manager like Carlo Ancelotti and with the quality of players at the disposal of the Italian manager at Madrid, I don't think there's anything they can't achieve

Maybe the Arne Slot era is different because since the beginning of the season Liverpool is still the strongest club and even until now their performance has not decreased either in the UCL or in the EPL, but we also do not know what will happen to Liverpool in the middle of this season until the final maybe as you said Real Madrid will return to its best performance again and become the main competitor for Liverpool in winning the UCL title I just hope they can meet in the final so that the competition in the UCL feels interesting.
Maybe you are right and maybe you are wrong because there is no guarantee whatsoever that the two will meet in the Champions League final this season. Arne Slot has brought many changes to Liverpool and so far Liverpool's performance has been very good and consistent, while Real Madrid is still fighting hard to qualify for the round of 16. Even if Real Madrid qualify, they will have to do it through the playoffs, but the challenge will not be easy in the last 16, quarter-finals or semi-finals.

It's nice to see that different teams can win the Champions League title in different seasons, meaning the competition is really tight. While Real Madrid are by far the reigning champions and they are the only team to have won so many Champions League titles, it is certainly a record that is very difficult for any other team to match.

We have Liverpool on their best run in first half of this season and things are clearly indicating they could be on pole position for the title race as well but still it's long way to go and ups and downs are also part of the game with knock out round has also never been easy for any team because thing could be more competitive for all.
No matter what happens or whomever Liverpool might have to face, I still believe Liverpool are equal to the task ahead, they have a wonderful team and a good coach to go with, besides they have had a very impressive first half of the season filled with great memories and i believe they can only improve on it but if it turn out to go bad for them then it would be very understandable because such occurrences often happen in football and Liverpool wouldn't be the first to encounter such issues . But for now I doubt if there's any team Liverpool can't go head to head with.

Real Madrid started the season not so great, they also sucked at La Liga for a while as well, but looking at how they are doing recently, we could say that they are back now. Which is a problem for all the other teams in UCL, doesn't matter where Real Madrid is ranked right now, they will beat the next two games, and they will be at playoff stage and after that they are going to end up with a greater return without a doubt. That's how it works and I believe we are going to do much better thanks to this.

I can see how Real could beat whoever they face at playoff stage as well, and I can see how they could end up with a much better result at quarter finals and so forth and even win the whole thing as well.

There was when I will weigh into the argument of Real Madrid performance in the Champions League. That was in the past, presently since I have understood the strength Real Madrid exert whenever it is about Champions League, I no longer undermine their ability.

Real Madrid could appear weak in the eyes of many people in a particular season, but when it is about the Champions League they will wake from slumber. So whenever it is about the Champions League the most favorite to win it every season remains Real Madrid and every other teams like Liverpool would come in. So, no matter the performance of Real Madrid, give them their number 1 slot.

I know what you mean and until last year it was true that Real was the favorite in the CL every year, but there were other players in the squad who were responsible for this effect and almost all of them are gone. These were players like Benzema, CR7, Kroos or Ramos and when Real had a bad day, one of these stars had their best day and got a win for the club. In my opinion, in todays team lacks such players, neither Vini or Mbappe can do what Benzema or CR7 did back then. That's why Real Madrid is no longer the top favorite in the CL for me (apart from the generally bad situation).

At least, in football any result can happen including defeat and failure of Real Madrid is still possible. But indeed, because Real Madrid is a team with a very good winning mentality then ofcourse, even though Real Madrid is not in a good position but the fact is Real Madrid still in the title candidate team to get trophy. Of course, this is different from other teams, even though other teams are in the top eight, but they are not a candidate team for the trophy. This really proves that Real Madrid is a team that always manages to rise and  other teams will always be wary of it even if based on the position in the standings, that Real Madrid is also not in a good position in the Champion League standings.

The competition in the UCL will always be interesting even though the team that will appear in the final is not Real Madrid, but for this season I am also still quite sure that Real Madrid can reach the final round if Madrid is able to pass every obstacle in the upcoming round. And for Liverpool itself, it is indeed a bit different from last season so that the Arne Slot era must indeed be considered a fairly good era for Liverpool, but as you said that we also have to see how Liverpool's condition is in the middle of this season and also in the second half of this season.

Hopefully they don't get crushed at the Knockout stage but your statement is a little bit contradicting..
Anyways they could surprise us once again and shut everyone/teams up Cheesy, they've done it before, they can still do it again despite with the worst stats they had earlier this season but this time around it looks like Liverpool is really determined to keep it, i don't know if there will be  any dips for them(liverpool), and so are other teams also desperate to get it just as them(thoough they won it so many times already), the pattern is to bring out new victor and it's looking like it if the tempo continues.
It'll be very disappointing to see Liverpool ousted from the UEFA Champions League competition in the first round of the knockout stages after their near perfect performance in the group stage. I don't think that will be happening because Liverpool this season have been very outstanding and will surely be getting an opponent that can't be able to match their strength so I expect Liverpool to at least reach the quarter finals or semi finals of the competition

Liverpool can be a tough opponent for any team in the Champions League this season including the Real Madrid team, but I still believe that Real Madrid will try to improve the quality of their own players in the rest of this season so they can compete with any team in the Champions League. And if Real Madrid fails to win the Champions League this season, I think it will not surprise many people because Real Madrid's condition this season is very different from previous seasons.

It really feels like Liverpool will destroy every team that step on their way for most people these days. I don't blame them, it is really difficult to think the opposite.  Grin

However I also don't believe things are that simple in football... I mean we are talking about the Champions League right? One should never forget the Real Madrid fact here. No matter how good or how bad they play, they somehow find a way to get another trophy in this tournament. Therefore I always see them as the biggest title contender here until they are eliminated officially. League phase performances shouldn't be misleading. Many things change in further phases.  Wink  Some teams play those more critical phases better than the others.
