Malmö were heavy favorites against their opponent even before the match started and we can say that they have already knocked them out of the Champions League with a 4-1 win at home in the first leg. He will also win away.
Bodo was again the heavy favorite in this match. I expect them to defeat their opponent on the road and I don't think they will tolerate any mistakes and I don't think they will be complacent.

It's strange that it took so long to fix this flaw. We've all gotten used to it, but in fact it sounds like complete nonsense: after the group stage we still don't know all the participants of the tournament, and in order to find out, we need to hold a preliminary playoff between the unsuccessful contenders from another tournament and the second places of group tournament.
Taking into account the increase in the number of teams in the Champions League and the overlapping of the flow of teams from one tournament to another, the Europa League will lose in the level of participants, but will increase in the value of the tournament.
The organization of the European Competitions is becoming very complicated. Maybe because we have gotten used to the old arrangements. But I am pleased with the increase of participating teams to 36, allowing four more clubs to play in this prestigious competition. The groupings have also changed since eight teams instead of the normal four will be in a group. The eight top clubs in the group stage will qualify for the round of sixteen. Teams who secured from 9th to 24th position will compete for the other eight slots in two-legged home and away games. We just have to wait to see how this new format will turn out this season. If there are flaws in the process, UEFA might consider adjusting it or reverting to the old format.

Prestige and a large number of participants are contradictory things, don't you think? If any, literally any club with a certain amount of luck can get into the European Cup, then there is no prestige from the fact of participation. I am talking about all European Cups now, not just the Champions League, but it works the same everywhere. By the way, with the new format of each European Cup, more than a third of the participants of national championships will participate in the European Cups. This looks like some kind of nonsense or a united European league.

The match between Slovan Bratislava and Celje was a match that we could not predict who would win. After both teams scored in the early minutes of the first leg, Bratislava lost control of the match with 10 men. Celje dominated the match and struggled to win. I think Bratislava, who drew with 10 men away from home, is one step closer to qualifying with the advantage.

The games in this round didn't surprise me much, but I expected Fenerbahce to get a more comfortable victory than the result they had in the first leg. They played very well, but they made some very silly mistakes and in 3 days they will have to play at home and with a lead of only 1 goal, something that doesn't give them much comfort. They will have to play with greater concentration in defense to at least get a draw, which could guarantee them a place in the next game. My question is:

If Fenerbahce manages to reach the group stage of the European Champions League, would they be able to finish in first or second place in the group stage?

The Turkish teams have not been able to get very far in the European Champions League, which is why I don't have high expectations for Fenerbahce in the European Champions League games. Even the Portuguese teams have not been able to reach the final either. The teams from Spain, Italy, Germany and England are the dominant ones, and from what I see this dominance will not be broken any time soon. It's funny to see France only having PSG who still haven't managed to win the European Champions League.
I think  Fenerbahçe football team will qualify for next round because they are hard working players and they are working on their weaknesses and they learnt a lot and in the future matches they will win the matches one sided. In the last match ,they gave their hundred percent to win this match and now they are in good position and rhythm and rhythm is very in game and now is time for Fenerbahçe team not lose any game and always win. They have good moral and I think they will easily handle the situations in next matches and they will qualify for next round.Džeko is match winner player and he can bend the the match to their sides and team can win by high margin because his kicking capacity is outclass.

Just like last season, Real Madrid and Manchester City are the two main favorites to win the title. Other teams such as Arsenal, Bayern Munich, PSG, Barcelona, Inter and others always have difficulties, but it does not rule out the possibility that one of the teams mentioned above will be in the final next season. Even though there is confidence about the potential of Girona and several new teams in the Champions League, their probability is very low.
Why are names like Real Madrid and Manchester City often brought up as favorite teams to win the title while other teams such as PSG, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Inter Milan, Arsenal including Bayer Leverkusen are actually non-favorite teams in the nomination for the title winner.
I know that these teams have a level of difficulty that makes them not wrong if they are made as non-favorite teams.
I see that apart from the reason because of the difficulty of competing, there is no convincing logical reason.

Teams like Girona and Bologna are not teams that often play in the Champions League so their level of play will be very different, even though both of them played well in their respective leagues last season. As we know, the Champions League is very competitive and the competition here is quite big so it will be difficult for them to qualify for the next stage. Every season there will definitely be one team that is quite surprising but when entering the next season most of them lose their best form.
For now it is still appropriate to say that, but who knows if they are the ones who can make a big surprise in the Champions League next season even though I myself still doubt that both teams can go further in the Champions League. Because if both teams can fail from the start in the Champions League, at least they can go down to the Europa League to be able to compete with the big teams there even though the level of competition is a little different, but it is still quite interesting to watch.

I won’t expect much from them in the champions league, they’ll just go and register their attendance there and wait for elimination. They are going there to get experience as first timers, if they use that experience well, going back there for the second time won’t be a big problem to them and may not find it difficult to make it far in the competition. The competitive scene of the champions league is not the one which they can both withstand. It has never happened in history that a first timer make it to the finals of the champions league and won the trophy. They will have to try again and again to win that and I don’t think they’ll be close to winning it just now as first timers. Let them get the experience and come back again another time.
Bologna and Girona and several other teams last season appeared quite surprising in their respective leagues and in the end they were able to win 1 ticket in the Champions League to next season, many of these teams were first time playing in the Champions League but actually it is too early for us to underestimate them especially Girona, currently Girona is improving the quality of their squad so maybe they will be able to talk a lot in the champions league next season even though it is impossible to win it, but looking at the finances and support from the City Football Group so far their are certainly not worthy of being underestimated, next season with new the format then every team that leaves the Champions League will immediately fall and no longer play to get a chance in the European League, so every team must be able to perform optimally, be consistent and focus on winning every match to qualified in every round, although the competition has been tight in the Champions League so far, this is not the closing the possibility of a surprise that could be given by the debutant team like as was the case when Porto won the Champions League in 2003/2004.

Both Girona and Bologna have qualified for the champions league and if they fail to qualify for the round of 16, they will be eliminited.
Take note that this season no team from the champions league will go to the europa league. There will be a new format for UEFA champions league and europa league.

I have more faith in Gordon’s than Bologna to even succeed in the Champions League competition at least girona had massive improvement last season, they were shoulder to shoulder with Madrid and even Barcelona no body expected them to improve that way and that is why it is very difficult to predict football because things you don’t expect will always happen. And the moment they did not qualify for the round 16 they should have figured it out that champions league is tougher than la Liga and effort you both in both leagues will be totally different, we know that players are paid to play ball but it is not actually easy competing in almost of the important leagues so if they are in champions league and they don’t qualify for Europa then to me it’s not a big deal champion league have more respect winning it than winning Europa.

Basically, Bologna underwent changes because after all, Bologna head coach also underwent changes. Because after all, Thiago Motta, who managed to make Bologna better last season, has actually become the head coach of Juventus. Meanwhile for Girona, at least they still have the same head coach as last season, so it is very likely that Girona will still have good performance. Although indeed, there is no guarantee for them to qualify for the knockout rounds later, but at least, them playing in the Champions League is already a good achievement for them.

But anyway, the reason I'm only considering about the head coach is because at least, with a new coach it will mean the team will also have a slight overhaul. Although indeed, apart from coaches, of course there are buying and selling transactions for players, but still, I think the head coach who underwent a change will provide a different factor. So yes, I think it's natural to compare Bologna and Girona, it looks like Girona will still have a good performance compared to Bologna next season in the Champions League.

There will only be 16 clubs that can qualify for the next round, where from the standings there are 8 clubs that have already qualified directly and the other 16 clubs must fight in the play-off round. Here's what's interesting in my opinion, because now there is very tight competition in the productivity of the goals they create. Usually we only see 4 clubs in 1 group, and it's not too difficult because there are superior clubs and there are clubs that are indeed mediocre and in terms of points, there are rarely clubs that have the same points which requires them to see goal productivity to advance to the next round.

Now it's different, because they will be in the same standings and will play 8 matches. My prediction is that there will be many clubs that have the same points and between them they have to see goal productivity. In addition to having to struggle to win, they also have to be able to score as many goals as possible so that when they are in a situation like that, they can be better than other clubs.

Yes I absolutely agree. The goal difference is going to play a big factor in this competition. At least it is going to be very important to see which team is going to go through to the next stage. And I think we are in for watching some surprises there might be some teams qualifying which we did not expect at all. Obviously I am not sure which teams those are going to be. But with a new format, there is always a chance that new teams are going to perform differently.

Girona and Brest probably two teams that we should watch out for. They have played very well in their domestic competition. So there is a chance that they will actually get some surprise wins in the champions league competition as well.

Of course, the Champions League is a difficult competition and not easy to predict. So far only Real Madrid is easy to predict, they are the only team that has qualified for the final more often than other contestants. Girona and several other new teams look like they will lose early, in fact I don't expect such teams to make it to the semifinals.

If I'm not mistaken, this is the first time for Girona to feel the atmosphere in the Champions League. Obviously this is not something easy, because in the Champions League the opponents they will face are also not like the usual teams, there are many big and strong teams that they have to face. In addition, the Champions League also requires a very strong mentality, because it will be very influential when they face heavy pressure. Pressure also does not only come from within the field, but the pressure can also come from outside the field. However, this is a great achievement for them, Girona can prove that they can also be in the Champions League with a struggle that is not easy. I hope they don't miss this opportunity, they must be able to show that they can compete, yes, even though it is something difficult for a team that is not used to it like them.
Just like i said before that Girona consistency will be tested next season when they have to divide their focus to playing at several different competitions besides Laliga such as Champion League so we will see whether they still able to performing well just like they showed last season or not but because this is the first time for Girona so i think it's hard for them because Champion League has different atmosphere compared to Laliga
Well, this should also be a note for Girona, which now has a tighter match schedule than usual, so they have to adjust to it, including the players they have must be evenly distributed so that they can freely rotate when needed. Girona is a new team in the Champions League, so their mentality is not yet fully formed, they must definitely adjust to the atmosphere they will feel in the Champions League match. So far I have not seen any major changes made by Girona, that means they still believe in most of the players who last season brought them something they rarely get. I hope they can perform well and not just be a complement in the Champions League. Because if we look back, a team with debutant status can't do anything, so they have to work even harder.

But getting the squad players experienced will not be an easy task for Girona and Bologna.

You all enjoy your big-name teams, I know. Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, the usual suspects. The Champions League's true beauty, though, transcends mere who is projected to win. Its about who can write history and beat the odds.

Take Bologna; they disappeared decades ago but are back now. Back with a fire in their gut. Love that. I love watching a team win again. Furthermore Girona? Neither should you count them out. Though they came from a modest league, they achieved their position fairly and honestly. They are talented and have heart. You also know what? They may simply surprise us all. The magic of sports is that. Unpredictability. Thrilling.

Allow them underdogs to shine. Lets see what they produce. Since its not always about the biggest stars. Its about who is more driven to defend their historical place. And Im excited to see what these two teams can do. Remember, people, everything is possible. See the underdogs with faith.

The possibility of Girona having a good performance like they did last season depends on the ability of their management to retain them old players no doubt this will help the new players to adapt faster with team and form a stronger squad better than what they had last season but right now they have brought in some good players which is indeed a welcome development but they shouldn't allow their players to leave the team especially their striker Arthem Dovbyk who was an instrumental player last season, they need to convince their players to remain in the team because the new players will not easily get adapted to the team and it will affect the performance of the team next season especially now that they will be playing in the champions league next season.

I agree with you, what made Girona good last season was their solidity in playing as a unified team, so if they can keep it up, or even get the support of new good signings, they might have another good season. This will be Girona's first experience playing in the Champions League and I don't think they should have high expectations in that tournament because that will actually prevent them from playing with optimal performance.

Girona was a strong contender last season despite not winning the league and I expect them to get better next season so we should also watch out for them when we point out other teams that can possibly win the league next season.

Could we see Girona become a surprise club among the strong teams in the champions league? maybe the answer is not available for now but anything can still happen. They did have a good season last season in the domestic league and their strengths do need to be tested in a bigger competition to prove their worthiness here.

As long as coach Michel is still the coach of Girona it should be no problem but it is quite unfortunate that they lost some of their players in the summer and I think that will make them a little weak. Arthem Dovbyk is expected to be a goal hungry striker and maybe he will also enter the list of top scorers in the champions league if his sharpness does not dull.
If Girona can retain most of their key players, there is a chance that Michel's squad will make a surprise, like they did last season in La Liga. Girona will be playing their first season in the Champions League, of course Michel is determined not to be eliminated quickly. Girona is quite active in the transfer market, Abel Ruiz, Ladislav Krecji, Donyy Van De Beek, Alenjandro Frances and Gabriel Misehouy have been successfully brought in. However, there is bad news about their striker Arthem Dovbyk who is reportedly willing to move to AS Roma, previously Girona had lost Aleix Garcia, in my opinion Girona management must convince their players to stay and make another breakthrough next season.

Maybe I am more inclined to Bologna than Girona, maybe in terms of play Girona is far superior to Bologna, but the achievement of Bologna players up to this point and playing in the Champions League is an extraordinary achievement for Bologna, because this is the first time Bologna has played back in the Champions League. Bologna last appeared in European competition in 1964.

I don't want to underestimate the game of Bologna or Girona because both have shown their capacity as big clubs from their respective Leagues, so in my opinion all the clubs that appear in the Champions League are certainly the top teams from their respective country's Leagues, so in my opinion Bologna will be able to compete with big clubs in the group phase.

Performing well in your domestic league does not mean that you will not be faced with challenges in UCL because it is the league that you need to go extra miles before you will be able to win the regular clubs because they have good experience of the league. This is why last season everyone was surprised towards Dortmund performance because it has been a long time they went far in UCL.

However, Bologna and Girona might be lucky to be in a group that will not be difficult for them to qualify from the group stage but they will not survive the round of 16 if it happens like that. It is good that they come to UCL so that they can have the experience even though they are kicked out in the group stage. That will make better work better on the team when next they qualify to UCL.

Karabakh will host their opponent at home on Tuesday. We can say that Karabakh will be the team that makes the round after their 2-0 away win. Lincoln Red don't stand a chance against them.
Apoel, on the other hand, managed to defeat their opponents 1-0 at home in the first meeting. Now they go on the road and a risky and potential match awaits them. We can say that both sides can go through and maybe the match will go to extra time.

Qarabag are a team that I admire. You remember what they did against Leverkusen last season, right? They showed such a huge resistance that for once so many people thought Leverkusen were going to say goodbye to the Europa League. I admire their determination as a result.  Smiley  There is no guarantee they will maintain it in the Champions League too but still nice to watch them.

Probably they are going to face a big challenge if they make it to the playoff round. I wonder what they will do then. For now, it is sensible to bet on Qarabag win considering their opponents.
