However Ronaldo has hypnotized football fans with his actions on the pitch, no one can compare to him except Messi. These two players have made the Champions League more interesting, there is no player who can compete with their abilities. Haaland is still very far behind Ronaldo, he cannot contribute like Ronaldo. Haaland is also very often barren in important matches, he seemed to lose his spurs when Manchester City was struggling in the final match, he always missed scoring goals when Manchester City really needed him to contribute to bringing the team he was playing for to victory. Haaland only acts as the spearhead for the club he plays for, but he doesn't have the skills and fast running like Ronaldo.
What you said is very visible in Haaland when Manchester City faces big teams like Real Madrid and others, making it difficult for Haaland to score goals for Manchester City in important matches because he is always tightly guarded by defenders from the opposing team. And to compare Haaland's achievements with those of Ronaldo and Messi, of course Haaland's achievements are still far behind, especially when we talk about trophies, top scores and also several other records.

There is no player I can compare Ronaldo to when he was at his best. At that time, he contributed to the game in every way, such as air ball, overhead kick, free kick, penalty, and running. I don't think he is a comparable player...

Manchester City is currently still very ready and could easily beat Real Madrid again.
Haaland is still Pep Guardiola's mainstay and as long as these two important roles are still with Man City, they will remain the strongest club after Real Madrid.
Haaland can't do much when facing Madrid, therefore Guardiola needs new players on the front lines who can accompany Haaland to be more productive in scoring goals easily. Haaland can only shine when facing an underdog team, whereas if he meets a strong team In fact, he can't penetrate the defense well and even has difficulty scoring goals. I don't think Guardiola can continue to rely on Haaland because there are still many great players who can be recruited into Manchester City's main squad to fill the front line so they can be more productive when facing strong and difficult teams. . I'm still not sure Manchester City will win the UCL next season if they don't make changes to their current main squad.  Grin

Manchester City is up to the very task to win the champions league title when they face Real Madrid. They are not a team that cannot be beaten and needs some extra force to penetrate into their defense. Every team has their weak points and if the weakness of a team is known by the rival team, it becomes easier for them to penetrate into them and get their win. Real Madrid is not an easy club to beat in the champions league and the same thing applies to Manchester City. They’re both big teams in Europe and when they face, the outcome is always unknown and we always wait to see how the match is being played before one can predict how it can end. With addition of new players or not, this team can be at their best and will eventually become the team to defeat Real Madrid in the champions league and raise the trophy once again.

When it comes to champions league experienced and tricks are needed to outshine your opponent, although am not doubting the fact that Manchester city does not have all it takes to win the champions league but the need to be more serious anytime they meet best teams in the knockout stage because more experienced teams will always want keep their track record running at that stage, as we all know Realmadrid is one of the best team in the world and we can cant  talk about football in the world without mentioning Realmadrid, the history remain with Realmadrid, Manchester city is also a good team but we can't compare them with the existing history that Realmadrid holds, we can't talk about Football without history,  the Realmadrid that I know will always want to shine, looking at their selection of players everyone will agree with me that Realmadrid is equal to the task to combat with any team, as for Manchester city to defeat RealMadrid to lift the trophy one more as you said, time shall tell.

No need for Pep Guardiola to sign new players to assist Haaland, Kevin De Bryune is there to assist him but due to the injury that both players suffered towards the ending part of last season made them not to be able to Perform as they normally do, instead of signing more players to the team Pep Guardiola should consider using some of the players in substitute to balance up the challenge that Haaland is getting and Guardiola should not be overdependent on Haaland alone, he should try and build up other players in the squad so that in a case of injury he can have a reliable replacement for Erling Haaland. Haaland still shine even when playing against a strong opponent so saying that he only performs when they meet a mediocre team is not true. Remember he scored a hat trick in their derby match against Manchester United last season so except you will classify Manchester United as a mediocre team then I can agree to what you said.
One thing you need to know is that Manchester City, even though they are one of the strongest contender of the Champions League but they are mostly unlucky in winning the Champions League so even if they sign new players, don't think it will make any difference.

I don't think Guardiola will try to get another player to add for Haaland, because I think the current players will still make the club succeed and win trophies, and since Guardiola is still the head coach, I'm sure he can control Haaland without getting any player that will support, and since De Bryune is still in the club, I don't think Haaland will have any problem, and he will always be the top goalscorer in the league because he is a goals machine that no one can stop him in the league, and I am confident Guardiola will still achieve something next season because I did not think they would still get any club that would challenge Manchester City. Right now, there is only Arsenal and Liverpool that I believe will compete with Manchester City, but they usually fail, but I am not sure if Artete will change anything up to compete with Manchester City next season. They need to do something so that Manchester City can win the Premier League next season because it is a disgrace that only Manchester City has control of all the trophies in the competition and no one can compete with them, and Guardiola will do anything possible to win another title before he leaves the team because .am Seeing after next season he can probably leave the club.

For any team that already knows how to stop Haaland, they will always be able to stop him easily and even in important matches Haaland always disappears in the pocket. But when he played against a mediocre team he was very aggressive and even showed no mercy by scoring several goals. Maybe the difference between Haaland and former great players lies here and that is why his name is less shining than the current players of his generation.

Talking about players like Suarez, Aguero or Cristiano, of course the difference is very big because they can always think about it to meet the club's needs and I think Haaland's strong physical problems are not an excuse. The reason is that players like Ibrahimovic can do the same thing as these great former players. So I think reasons like that should not be used as an excuse for Haaland and the need to evaluate his work so that it can benefit his team.
Physically, Haaland is ideal, but his ability to dribble the ball, take the initiative to create space, and control the ball when dealing with opponents is still very minimal. Therefore without a profitable supply, Haaland will not be able to move at all and will even have difficulty scoring goals. Manchester City is lucky to have De Bruyne, Bernando Silva, Foden and Doku so as a pure striker Haaland just has to wait.

Meanwhile Ronaldo, Suarez, Ibra, Aguero and several senior players who in their prime were able to master various techniques were able to complete their tasks well. Physical quality, ball control or balanced flexibility, so far Haaland has not been able to do that. Maybe he should train harder to develop his individual abilities, because if he only relies on supplies alone he will not be able to develop amidst the competition from today's star players.

It's not even the issue of him.not playing well against Real Madrid, I believe its the fact that Harland is just so direct and when he is been tightly marked off then the ability to score goal will be reduced. Any team that successful man mark Harland he finds hard to score against them, he is not like the likes of aguero and squarez that are very good with their feet and also flexible too.

Haaland has a very strong physics, and this makes him less flexible like suarez or aguero. The problem is that the team now knows how to stop him. They sent two CBs to guard him. This is also very effective in stopping him because Haaland is not flexible.

I consider Haaland is fast enough. But, flexibility is key to dodging opponents. That's why haaland is playing as a pure striker only.

That's why it's hard to find someone like CR7 at his prime. He is very flexible, strong, and fast.

You see it's not about sending two players to guard him,it's about marking him closely so he doesn't have a good time, I have watched Lisandro Martinez doing this to him first when they faced off in the Champions League Competition ( Borrussia Dortmund vs Ajax ) that was actually tue first time I noticed Lisandro Martinez. Secondly, it was the name Tony Rudiger as he rendered him useless in the Champions League Competition.
Tchouameni did the same thing too, to cage him up. His body has nothing to do with all these, if he gets a clear cut chance he'll definitely perform and score enough goals.

Cristiano Ronaldo would always remain the greatest goalscorer of all time, he sis second to non when it comes to scoring and converting chances. Sad to see how the media making mockery of him despite all he has done for football.

I feel like the only way to unlock Erling Haaland in such tight games for him would be to play a second striker with him to free him up. Let's see if Premier League defenders will do better against him this season.

Ronaldo is a player that would always be remembered by his performance because for me I consider him to be a Legendary player because of how far and the things he has achieved in his career, though I wouldn't just say he is the only player that has that kind of impressive performance because Lionel Messi is also one of the best player in the world and both are always on a serious competition on who will become the best.

However considering there performances there is a lot difference between there two because Ronaldo is a very skillful player with a lot of energy and strength but most of his skills was developed based on practice has been given himself but Lionel Messi in the other hand is like a player that was born with football because his pattern of play is very natural because he always knows what to do on every given time, though he doesn't have much skills like Ronaldo but in terms of Ballon d'Or Lionel Messi has been the best because he has won up to Eight Ballon d'Or while Ronaldo should be within Six.

Since his move to Manchester City, Haalaand was immediately able to adapt well to the Manchester City game and even in the first and second season he ended the season with the championship and also the status as top scorer, Haaland sharpness in scoring goals is no longer in doubt, but as you said, he is still still has weaknesses at the moment, Haaland has accuracy and speed in executing opportunities to become goals and he even knows enough where to stand when his teammate gives an accurate pass in a match, but like you say, Haaland is often invisible when he has to face big team and it is even difficult to escape when they are closely guarded by a tough defender.
I would say different that Manchester City had to change their tactics to help Haaland. It's quite not fair to say Haaland depends completely on Manchester City tactics change and his team mates to play well. He tried and adapted somewhat and we have to consider that Manchester City had demand to change themselves so they saw something helpful in Haaland before purchasing him from Dortmund.

Haaland played like a beast in his first season for Manchester City and in Premier League debut season but in a second season, he struggled to score goals when clubs, coaches and players in Premier League understood his playing style more and found ways to reduce his danger. Fortunately, Haaland did not join Euro 2024 and he can use summer time to watch videos, think deeply of ways to change and play better next season.

I think that to become a better striker, of course Haalaand still needs to continue to improve his current abilities in supporting the flexibility of his movements and play So far,  I have seen him play against big teams several times, Haalaand is often too close to the opposing defender so he often has to rely on physically to win a duel so this makes it difficult for him to develop and help his team win, the only way that Haaland can possibly do next season is to keep his distance from the opposing defender when he has the ball so that he can fire a shot towards the goal.

Real Madrid will be very hot next season just because of Mbappe's presence, but that doesn’t mean the Champions League will be easy for them. Just like you said, next season will be the last season for Guardiola at Manchester City, so he will do everything in his power to win the Champions League for the club before leaving, and we know Manchester City also has a strong squad. So I can’t really say Real Madrid will win the Champions League next season, but I know the season will be an interesting one that everyone will enjoy.

I’m also not expecting Real Madrid to win the Champions League next season because Manchester City and other clubs who are even tougher than Real Madrid are going to be fully ready for next season's Champions League. I believe next season will be a hot season, and again, I'm expecting Real Madrid to do more than they did last season because of the beast they have in their squad Now, Mbappe is a very talented player. He can do everything in his power to get the visibility he wants in Real Madrid, but what I’m also doubting is the trophy for the Champions League next season. I think it will be difficult for Real Madrid.
Looking at the superiority of quality, Real Madrid has more quality players and it is clear that their talent is under the tutelage of Ancelotti Real Madrid players are able to perform successfully. However, the competition next season will be fierce even though Real Madrid has recruited Mbappe, whose performance and talent are clear but there will be other teams who have the same high ambition to win the Champions League title.  Real Madrid will not easily win the title again even though they have a big chance because there is Manchester City and I think they are able to compete with Real Madrid.
Of course, other big teams like Manchester City will not let Real Madrid dominate the Champions League again. Even though Real Madrid will do their best to dominate the Champions League I think there will be big and tough challenges for them that will prevent them from winning the Champions League title. who knows who will win the title next season only time will tell. but what is certain is that all teams have big ambitions to win the Champions League title including Real Madrid, which has previously won the Champions League title.

I'm in the same line of thoughts with you even though I cannot also rule out the fact that the big clubs are there to make their efforts too and they are also trained to take the trophy home. Nevertheless, narrowing down the predictions to only the big English or La Liga clubs is not just enough because if we were to follow the same line of thoughts, we would have written off clubs Like Dortmund which actually got to the final position against Madrid in the last season. So, Champions league should be bigger than those thoughts.

The thing with champions league games is the fact that the prediction sometimes is done according to the performance of the team at the moment and how experience team has in the Champions League competition how ever the elite teams seem to be more favored in the champions league predictions because of the level of players they have got in the team when compared to the players of other teams. If you look at how the prediction is actually done the big teams in every league is picked to be on a stand out but when the group stages is passed, the possibility of teams that should get to the semi finals or finals is easily predicted based on the performance of the teams but sometimes a small club can get to the finals as a result of their form in the champions league competition.

Dortmund had a poor performance in the German league last season but their performance in the champions league was different and it took them to the finals even though they lost against the Real Madrid team but next Champions league is on the way I believe the prediction will also be made according to the form of the team, the champions league experience and the performance of the team in the champions league games.
Injury factors and card accumulation can actually also affect each Champions League contestant chances of going further. Apart from that, mentality plays a quite big role, where the Champions League has a very different level of intensity and pressure from domestic competitions. Dortmund last season performed surpass expectations, they were lucky to be on a path that was relatively easier.

In general, not many teams can be as lucky as Dortmund, where they managed to show a different performance when playing in the Champions League. Meanwhile, I don't yet fully understand in detail the new format of the Champions League next season, the course of the competition will probably provide a thorough understanding of all the new formats.

I would put Madrid and City as the two favorite clubs to win next season, both of which look very dominant. We hope that next season Champions League final can take place in an ideal form, bringing together elite teams. Dortmund looks like it will have difficulty reaching the final, they have changed managers and parted ways with several experienced players.

Currently there is no news that Pep Guardiola will extend his contract with Manchester City, so we assume this season will be Pep Guardiola's last season with Manchester City. As a coach, of course he also wants to give the best, especially since this is his last season with the team. He will do something that will make their farewell full of happiness, even though Manchester City will definitely feel sad because this excellent coach has to leave behind.
Pep Guardiola reportedly provided conditions for Manchester City to fulfill if Manchester City wants to sign a contract extension. However, I don't yet know the details of the request he submitted. If it's about money, I think it will be easy for Manchester City to grant it, but if it's something else then I can't say whether Manchester City can grant it or not.
Although Man City wants him to stay a longer time, it is clear enough that it is probably the last season for Pep Guardiola. He already stated that he wants to leave Man City, he may feel bored and wants to get a rest for a moment. I think we must appreciate the decision made by Guardiola if he really leaves Man City after the season 2024-2025. However, there is still the opportunity that he may changes his mind. It is not impossible if he wants to extend his contract for 1-2 years more.

Anyway, I never read any issue that Guardiola asked some conditions to extend his contract with Man City. Where do you read the news? I think it shouldn't be about the salary or funds allocation to buy new players. I guess it should be about the personal reasons. I assume Guardiola may have the same reason as Klopp, he wants to take a rest for a moment.

Talking about Real Madrid, they are a team that is a stumbling block for all teams in the Champions League, because they always have their own way of winning.
Actually Real Madrid didn't always win UCL in every season. They also experienced losses and failed to win UCL trophy. But they become very superior if they reach the final round. That's why Guardiola stated that to beat Real Madrid shouldn't be in the final, beat them before they reach the final round.

One thing I've always known about Pep guardian is that he always make  replacement and extra even if there's  no need... he might not need players to cover up but he always refresh his team with new players even if he didn't sell but he does have a pattern of selling.
For realmadrid, I don't think they really  have anything to worry about interm of squad , they have a very string one... I believe next season is going to be LaHot
This is actually but a fact about guardiola and interestingly he's always got a very matching consistency to making sure the whole combination is a success Madrid have almost similar form and strength like city, if not even better. All of Madrid's squad are very much in a good position and just like guardiola prepares for the future before it comes, Madrid does almost same and for both team next season is going to be a very serious one and as a matter of fact, this may be peps last season at city so making it a memorable one is most definitely in his agenda and almost same is with ancelotti but not confirmed yet tho.

But in this case, you should expect that City will once again be knocked out by some ordinary club and Real won’t even have to strain  Grin
In general, it’s quite sad that everyone began (and probably rightly) to evaluate the Champions League as a tournament for a narrow group of clubs where the favorites are rated as 2.5-4.0. This says a lot about the predictability of the tournament. If I remember correctly, this season the NHL favorite was rated as 7.0. That is, in fact, many clubs had a chance to win and the whole tournament was interesting.

The Champions League is the most difficult competition among other competitions and as we know, Atalanta may have difficulty competing there and become the underdog club in the UCL later, although actually no one knows about the surprises that will happen like last season where Atalanta was not really the favorite in the UEL but the club is capable of winning this prestigious title, but in the UCL I am not sure Atalanta will be able to beat strong UCL candidates such as Real Madrid, Man City, Bayern Munich, Arsenal Liverpool and many other strong and experienced clubs.

Likewise with Leverkusen, the two clubs between Atalanta and Leverkusen will play in the UCL next season. They were strong contestants in the UEL last season but I doubt they will be able to reach the highest level in the UCL considering the very tight competition here Shocked

What happened in the UEL last season was totally shocking. I'm a Liverpool fan and I was shook to my bones watching Atalanta demolish Liverpool at Anfield. I was even more surprised when they handed Leverkusen their first and only loss of the 2023/2024 season and it was no small goal margin. Despite all those surprises last season, I still maintain my stance that the UCL is an entirely different ball game compare to what we saw in the UEL. In the UEL, we only had 2 favorites. In the UCL, almost all teams that qualified are all top tier teams so if you miss the first one, there's a chance the next is going to knock you out for good.

Mbappe to Real Madrid? That's some next-level sh*t right there. But Champions League is huge, with some very outstanding teams like Man City with Guardiola motivated as hell for a return in his last season. I respect them all. Sure, Real Madrid's stacked, particularly with Mbappe among Vinicius's ranks and the rest of that team. But Champions League is where the unexpected becomes the standard, where even the big dogs could find their butts given to them
I think I agree with your opinion to an extent and that's because the  UEFA Champions League competition sometimes doesn't end up as predicted but most of the times, it's always been won a a team that deserves it. The arrival of Kylian Mbappe to the Real Madrid squad if you ask me will definitely boost the strength of the Real Madrid squad and that's why I strongly believe that they'll likely win the UEFA Champions League next season. Just before Kylian Mbappe arrived, Real Madrid had just won the competition and considering the fact that very few players from the squad that won it in the just concluded season have left, stopping Real Madrid's attacking line next season will be a very difficult task for any team that'll play against them. As a Real Madrid fan, it feels good to know that your team is regarded as the best in the whole Europe and I don't think that's gonna change anytime soon.
