You are right because both competitions are different and might produce different results when both team meets. It has happened on many occasions where two teams will meet in their league and one will win but when they meet in external tournament in the same year, the reverse would be the case. Base on recent records, Real Madrid is still better experienced and prepared for champions league than Barcelona and if they happen to meet, I will bet on Madrid to win even though it is looking like Barcelona have a solid team at the moment. Although I will not underestimate Barcelona this season because there are signs that they might be aiming to win the champions league as well as the Spanish La Liga.

I don’t know what Liverpool performance will be like this season in the Champions League, so I’m still finding it difficult to predict how they will perform in this match. Playing at home against AC Milan at the Santiago Bernabeu which is believed to be the fortress Real Madrid, I don't think AC Milan stands any chance of getting a result against the reigning Spanish and European champions. They'll need a miracle to get a win against Real Madrid in that game which is why majority of gamblers are already staking on a straight win for the Spanish giants.
