I think it's no longer about expectations, but the fact that Real Madrid is the best team for the long term. After all, Real Madrid has young players in its squad and we know that Real Madrid has always been a team that is able to retain great players for the long term. Therefore, because Real Madrid has many young players with great potential, ofcourse Real Madrid will remain at a high level from season to season. Indeed, there are still many other top teams, but stopping Real Madrid's dominance will be a difficult task for the other topteams. So yes, I think when it is said that Real Madrid is the strongest team in winning trophies, it is not an expectation, but in reality, Real Madrid has a very big chance of consistently getting trophies.

In my opinion, the young players at Real Madrid are not comparable in terms of quality to the old stars, who are now almost all gone. Actually, only Modric is still there and he won't be playing much longer either, but what Real did well is that they let the young and old players play together and they were able to pass on their experience and knowledge. For this reason and because they make good transfers, I still think they are the top favorites for the CL title in the next season.

There are indeed some strong teams that will probably surprise all of us next season, but when Madrid has reached the final of course 100% I am very confident that Madrid will be able to get the trophy from whoever the opponent is in the final, this season the Madrid squad contains many talented young players who are supported by the experience of Kross and Modric so indeed their squad is quite perfect,   But with the arrival of Mbappe next season, of course, it will make Madrid a club that may be unbeaten in La Liga and the Champions League later.
Many people's expectations may be like that, but I don't think that Real Madrid will be unbeatable in these two competitions next season, because the arrival of Mbappe into the Real Madrid squad is indeed good for adding to Real Madrid's own strength on the front lines. However, Mbappe himself must also be able to adapt himself to the Real Madrid players and must not be selfish when he is there next season. I also see Real Madrid as a candidate team to win in the two big competitions, but in terms of being undefeated, I think that is a bit difficult for Real Madrid to achieve.

There are 36 teams competing in the 2024/2025 UCL but the thread is packed with only discussions about Real Madrid and what could be Mbappe's first UCL title. I know that Real Madrid are the kings of UCL for years now but it's worth noting that on those recent years they won the UCL, they came very close to losing it. The final against Liverpool, the comebacks against City, Chelsea and most recently, defeating City and Dortmund to win it the just concluded season.

My point is, there is still a very big chance that Madrid would not win the 2024/2025 UCL. It's a long shot even though Madrid has the dream team.

This is the champions league and this is Real Madrid we are all talking about. They are so exceptional in this champions league that they are called the kings of the champions league. They are so good that they’ve won the trophy the most in the history of the competition. The next season has a different format but I don’t still see any much changes in the stance of Real Madrid when they’re ready to play in the competition and attain another success. The champions league is indeed tough to win but Real Madrid have made it look so easy that’s they’ve won it the most. I know they’re tough times in the Champions League too and a lot of people don’t really see that though as they are just after the success to be attained by the team. The champions league will come again and Real Madrid will be amongst the top contenders for the trophy again.

At Real Madrid I think Mbappe could become a 50+ goals striker.

I agree with your argument. By the way, Lionel Messi is still holding the top scorer record in a season in the La Liga with 50 goals.  Smiley

https://www.guinnessworldrecords.com/world-records/most-goals-scored-in-a-season-in-the-top-division-of-spanish-football

It isn't impossible for Mbappe to break this record absolutely. He is a goal machine when he plays under a strong system. Ancelotti can give him exactly what he wants. Real Madrid couldn't have a this productive striker since Benzema left. Now they finally have another great scorer.  Smiley  Mbappe has different playing style than Benzema too. I think he can be way more useful for Real Madrid in the long run.

It is all correct, but in my opinion Messi is quite a lot superior to Mbappe. I doubt that he will ever reach Messi's numbers no matter what club he is ever going to play for. Free kicks have almost been like penalties for Messi. That's a big difference already. Dribblings are amazing by Mbappe, but I have never seen him play 1 vs 7 and still win and score. When Messi received the ball in is own half, it was instantly a threat for the opponent because he has proven over and over again that he can go all the way and score. Legendary goal against Real Madrid in the Champions League. Legendary goal against Athletic Bilbao when he defeated like 5 or 6 players with dribblings in a small space.

Mbappe is superior when he has a lot of space and can come with his speed. But the truth is that most of the time you don't have that when you play in strong teams. Messi with his body balance and low center of gravity, and his ultimate will to never fall down is probably the best player there ever was when spaces were small. And as I said, most of the time spaces are small because the opponents mostly focus on defending. I doubt that Mbappe would ever score 50 goals in 38 games. That doesn't mean I don't love him as a player. He is incredible.

But as Ibrahimovic once said: Ronaldo is the best on planet Earth, but Messi is out of this world.

Still though in the Champions League Real Madrid will be playing against strong teams at some point and that's where Mbappe will turn into a true weapon. For example, if they were up against Manchester City, that's a team trying to control the gameplay. That means more space for Mbappe and then he is deadly.

The team is Real Madrid, dude. They have a lot of experienced players and a lot of young, talented players. They're always looking for more prizes. So what now that Mbappe is in the mix? Remove it from your mind. I'm really scared by their attack. You can already taste the excitement among the fans as they wait for another Champions League win
One of the reasons why people keep discussing Madrid lately and even most of the bettors in this betting section are very confident that Madrid will be the strongest candidate team in the UCL after the arrival of Mbappe who will be a scoring machine.
But some people also think that this is an exaggeration because there is always a surprise behind the many teams competing in the UCL and I as a Madrid fan will accept that statement because I admit that maybe we are all exaggerating because previously Madrid was already a big team in the UCL only Mbappe arrival alone provides sharper strength in the attack line.
And I will also remind anyone, even though it is an exaggeration, it is a fact and anyone who doubts Madrid, at the end of the season it will be repaid with the UCL title they will get.

Whatever you want can happen in football. Bayern Munich is always a threat, Manchester City still has a lot of punch, and even teams like Dortmund or Inter could surprise us. However, I would still bet my hard-earned cash on Real Madrid if I had to choose among the teams playing right now. They're amazing. What about Mbappe? That is simply not possible
Of the several teams that will be the strongest challenge for Madrid, only Man City and only Guardiola team are able to put a little pressure on Madrid and it is always a tense match when these two teams compete on the field.

In a team full of star players, it is certainly very difficult for anyone to stand out and instead of prioritizing winning, sometimes they will be more selfish when it comes to scoring goals when they have the opportunity. Maybe here it is very appropriate to see what Real Madrid will look like next season, of course this situation must be immediately conditioned because it is so important for the harmony of the dressing room.

I think Mbappe must be well aware that here no player is more important than a club's victory, therefore when he has the opportunity to pass instead of scoring a goal himself which may not necessarily be a goal then he must provide an assist to his partner. This also applies to other players and I think that in Ancelotti's hands the situation will be quite conducive and they can focus again on winning the Champions League title.

If this is about goal contribution, then I would have to say that while Real Madrid have a lot better players than PSG, which means that they will be capable of supporting Mbappe getting better results, it could also be a reason why Mbappe gets the ball less too. I mean there are many great players there, so it means that other players may pass to each other at times and score goals meaning the usage rate of Mbappe may drop, not impossible.

At PSG he was the only one that was the super star, which is why I think it is quite clear that we are going to end up with something quite well for him, he got the ball all the time because he was "the" star there. At Real Madrid many players could play differently and could get the ball instead.

I personally think that Mbappe will improve by a lot when he plays for Real Madrid. He may probably not become a goal machine like Ronaldo, but he is going to elevate his gameplay as he will have a much better midfield behind him. I don't know how many world class assists Kroos gave Ronaldo, for instance, but at PSG the midfield wasn't the best he could have to back him up.

At Real Madrid I think Mbappe could become a 50+ goals striker. He was close to it at PSG, but the Real Madrid team will be so overwhelmingly good with him that I believe they will finally get close to 100 goals in a La Liga season. The last time they were close was in 17/18 when they scored 94 goals in 38 games. In 16/17 they scored 106 goals in 38 games.

With Mbappe completing the attacking line, this may again be possible. Vinicius Junior could score 20, Mbappe could score 40, and whoever plays on the left wing (most likely Rodrigo) is probably good for 10-12 goals at least, too. Then you have players like Bellingham who out of a sudden proved to be a striker on top of being a midfielder and a defender! Cheesy

Real Madrid has good times ahead of them. They will be the team to beat in the Champions League if anyone else strives for the title.

Real Madrid always has a place in the Champions League, that's why they are always a hot topic among football fans, they have a very good squad and also their squad is even, especially with the many potential young players they have in the squad, it adds strength and confidence in them that they will be able to defend the Champions League title, that is a very reasonable prediction.
Although in the end they will not easily defend the title, because other teams also pose a real threat to Real Madrid, one of which is the team you mentioned. The competition here will get tighter and for now the difference is in terms of the percentage of opportunities that each team has. We cannot deny that currently Real Madrid is the team holding the highest percentage to become champions again in the Champions League next season with the new format which will be introduced for the first time.

Actually, all of us here are only able to speculate and will never know what the future holds for Real Madrid with Mbappe and if we think about it, it's actually too much, we always praise Real Madrid because no matter how strong the club is and even though they have great players, they will definitely experience problems at some point which could affect the club's performance.
I admit that Real Madrid will be the strongest club in the coming season and everyone admits this but can't we look towards Manchester City who once beat Real Madrid?

Real Madrid has indeed had very reliable players but that doesn't mean there is no chance of being beaten because Manchester City is also one of the strong clubs in the Champions League and Manchester City also has Haaland and De Bruyne who are always ready to fight Real Madrid and even have a chance to beat Real Madrid.
The coming season will be an interesting season in the Champions League. I can't wait to see Manchester City and Real Madrid face off again and both have reliable strikers.

Indeed, Real Madrid is a team that has quality players, but on the other hand, of course there are also other teams that have the same quality players, such as Manchester City, which is one of my favorite teams. Real Madrid's strong performance is of course good, but it doesn't rule out the possibility that they will continue to win. There are times when maybe luck is on the other team's side so they can beat Real Madrid, and Manchester City, in my opinion, is quite capable of keeping up with Real Madrid, because Manchester City also has a performance that is no less strong.

Even though I haven't heard of any changes in players at Manchester City, I think Manchester City still has strong performance and is ready to compete closely with other teams, including Real Madrid, which is nicknamed the King of Champions. Maybe what you mean is that Manchester City has the opportunity to beat Real Madrid. The tight competition between these two teams will certainly make the Champions League even more exciting, because they both have strong performances. I don't think Real Madrid can't be beaten, because even though they have quality players, that doesn't rule out the possibility that they can't be beaten by another team, especially in football many surprises can happen.

There is no doubt about it, the good thing is that in Madrid there is someone with enough hierarchy like Ancelotti who has made himself a Liga player and the UCL player,  Something he was looking to consolidate, for me this year has been wonderful for Madrid, also apart from the personal situation of Mbappé I can't deny that he is a good player, that Ancolotti can easily use him as the only striker that Rodrygo, Bellingham and Vinicius can help him, he really will be very good , it's a shame that such a fundamental piece as Kross has left, if he had at least stayed for one more year it would have been perfect, but oh well , now the Question is to find a good Midfielder who can do Things well.
You are right, Mbappe can get a better ball supply than when he played at Paris Saint Germain. Real Madrid's midfield is filled with players who can supply the ball very well, on the left and right sides they also have players who can send the ball and even penetrate into the opponent's defense area. This is an advantage for Mbappe, so he may not need to work hard because he can be a pure striker who only moves in the penalty box.

At Paris Saint Germain I saw him playing more flexibly, actually that's not a problem and in fact it's good. But again, of course they will follow the instructions of the strategy that will be implemented by the coach. We haven't been able to see what Ancelotti's gameplay will be like after he gets Mbappe. The team is even more complete now that they have the forward line they didn't have this season, and that makes them look even stronger.
If this is about goal contribution, then I would have to say that while Real Madrid have a lot better players than PSG, which means that they will be capable of supporting Mbappe getting better results, it could also be a reason why Mbappe gets the ball less too. For the potential to fail in a process there must be even for a person who is good at fighting he has the opportunity to lose, but the tendency for people to choose more potential in that person is because he has proven that he is the best there but that does not mean he will never lose, so is Real Madrid, they are famous for the UCL king and that is because they have won several times which makes people tend to speculate that Real Madrid will win again especially with a very good team for this new season people will always believe in what is said to be great.

But if we look at the laws of the game, nothing is impossible that happens in favor of the opponent that can make Real Madrid lose even though it has a squad that is almost perfect, we must see that indeed the ball is round and the bitter reality must also be taken into account, so the potential for real Madrid defeat must always be there even though we believe that Real Madrid will win it again.

You should not go into conclusion when you know that football is not magic but by the strength of the club which includes that of the players and coach. Real Madrid is still seen as the favorite because they just won it, and they have Mbappe in their club now. When there was no Mbappe, they still won it, and I have not seen any club that will be able to challenge them next season.

If you say Real Madrid odds of winning UCL next season is small, tell me the club that you think is strong and capable enough to win Real Madrid next season of they clash in UCL. After all, this was what some person was saying when City won last two seasons.
If we look at the quality and also the quantity of teams that qualify for the Champions League next season, of course we don't see anything better than Madrid today, Madrid currently has a fairly qualified and even quality of players in every line of their squad, so there is no reason for us to say that they have no chance at all to win the Champions League again next season.  Maybe many people think that the difficult curse of consecutive Champions League titles still applies to the current Champions League champions, but I think after Madrid success so far, of course the curse does not apply to them  to win the Champions League next season.

Correct, I'm sure that people will count Manchester City or Leverkusen as the team that might win Champions League. But, come on, after Manchester City lost Gundongan and Mahrez, they're not that strong anymore.

Although Real Madrid lost Nancho and may likely lost Kroos too, but we have Mbappe that will give big strength to Real Madrid, it's like having Ronaldo or Messi in their prime. We all know how good Ronaldo or Messi is.

It seems like Real Madrid and Mbappe will continue to be hot topic of conversation in the next season because Mbappe has just joined and in his first season will give different sentiment where more people will follow his developments while defending Real Madrid.
In the UCL competition, Real Madrid always gets satisfactory results when they reach the final and this is what most people want, they want to see Mbappe be able to win the UCL title in his first season and this is quite natural considering that Mbappe is star player.
To be honest, on the other hand, I consider what you said to be true, that there are still many other teams that will participate and Real Madrid chance of winning the UCL again can still be said to be not guaranteed because there will also be possibility that big surprise will occur.
It just that as football fan, especially for the Real Madrid team, everyone has the freedom to express their own hopes for the results of the 2024/25 UCL season competition.

You could be right but for now with the kind of qualities real Madrid possessed that's why people have a high expectation for them to win but however that doesn't mean that they are the only club on the race to win the champions League next season so in as much as real Madrid is very good, other clubs like Manchester City, Bayern Munich, Bayern Leverkusen, Borussia Dortmund and Inter Milan is also very good, though I would have include PSG but I don't think their performance next season will be as good as this season especially when Mbappe has left the club for real Madrid.

However among the listed clubs if real Madrid does not win, hopefully Manchester City or Bayern Munich will surely lift the trophy because they are actually the teams I see that has a very consistent performance, though I'm not saying that Borussia Dortmund and the rest are not strong but they can only go far on the season but doesn't have what it takes to win the trophy.

There are 36 teams competing in the 2024/2025 UCL but the thread is packed with only discussions about Real Madrid and what could be Mbappe's first UCL title.
It should not come as a surprise to you because every single member of this thread is a fan of Real Madrid.Cool Roll Eyes Whenever someone mentions Mbappe, they are always talking about him. mbappe is everywhere. It is reasonable to anticipate that the discussion regarding mbappe will continue till the beginning of UCL session 24/25.

Madrid is still the owner of the UCL despite the many challenges they have faced, but it is clear that City will win the UCL the next season. The presence of mbappe does not necessarily indicate that Madrid will receive a guarantee of victory in the UCL.

People experience FOMO as a result of Mbappe's transfer to the real Madrid.
