The champions league is such that an unpredictable competition and we may not get to assume right what the final outcome of the competition will be. Real Madrid may have signed Mbappe for them to strengthen their squad but till now, some people still found that Mbappe is yet to deliver as much of what is expected from him since he joined the team. I don’t know if they will want him to lead the club only to glory but it’s a collective effort by the teammates that will make that happen. Even when Mbappe has not joined the team, I see them as a team that can still win the champions league trophy for another time. Mbappe addition to the squad will just make it a more convincing facts that they’ll finish in a good position in the competition or maybe win the competition at all cost.

Are you sure they will drop out of the top eight after losing first match? I think since it is a group stage game, it will depend on the group performance and the number of points accumulated by each teams just as it is happening the Leagues.

Not just Manchester City, if any team can win their matches they will all be happy because losing first match in a new format where you are not familiar with is. Not proper, simply because you don’t have confidence of making it to the next round since there are other teams you have to play with and all of them will also be anticipating for win either in their matches. The best thing is to make sure you avoid losing your games, if you cannot win, don’t lose, you can at least play a draw to help your team with accumulate more points.

I only agree that all matches are difficult, but that doesn't mean it is always difficult for every strong team like Real Madrid or Manchester City. 8 teams qualify automatically, while the other 16 teams will compete for places through the play-off round.

Manchester City and Inter are both strong in my opinion, so it's definitely difficult to guess who will win it. But I would say that Manchester City has a big chance of winning over Inter because the match is being played at the Etihad Stadium. Manchester City are playing at home and that is an advantage they should take advantage of.

The plan to bring Mbappe has been around for a few seasons so now that he is in Madrid it is clear that he could be one of the most backbone players in the future even though for now his performance still needs more adaptation but in the end this is still a plus for Madrid.

In addition, talking about Ancelotti is a little difficult where even though the tactics he uses are actually quite simple but in the end he can always bring success that can not even be expected especially the Champions League is not new because he is a sensational coach here with the most trophies and is very suitable for Madrid which they are also a club that has the most trophies too.
But at the end of the day, the competition is obviously still very tough for Madrid and we have to see if the change from the group stage to the league stage will have an impact on the big club or not in terms of performance.

It may or may not be. Mbappe haven't won the Champions league despite how far he has come in his career so winning their UCL with his dream club, Madrid will be on top of his priority list for this 2024/2025 season. But unlike everyone else that have rushed to conclude that Madrid would win, I think they wouldn't and will be knocked out in one of the knockout stages — my bias will remain this way unless Madrid's performance turns around in the near future because right now, it ain't shit.

So who's on my list to win it? Can't say but there are good options especially teams like City and probably Bayern or Leverkusen + Liverpool.

Atalanta cannot surprise anyone this season in the champions league because it is not Europa and UCL has so many strong teams that will send Atalanta packing from the league.

I don't see Atalanta going far in UCL even though they are the winner of Europa cup last season because with their current performance they stand no chance of survival. It will be good to see Atalanta back go their best form.

Real Madrid doesn't need Mbappe to win the champions league, they have proven that they didn't need some of their top players to do it. They won without Ronaldo being on the team therefore Mbappe is nothing to them. I have a feeling they just needed mbappe to sell the jersey and prevent other clubs from having him and causing an obstacle to their title challenge. Mbappe needs Real Madrid to take his career to the next level but Real Madrid can always do fine without him and the early the top stars at the club gets to know this fact, the better it'll be for their career to know when to move on and not play for a club all their life that don't value their players.

Inter, Milan and Juventus tend to be more convincing to qualify for the round of 16 this season as representatives of Serie A, while I doubt Atalanta. Of course not to underestimate Atalanta, but I haven't been able to find a good performance from them so far. AC Milan's performance at the beginning of this season was indeed quite bad and there was no good improvement with their new coach. However, if the situation can be reversed if they appear stunning in the Champions League, of course AC Milan will be able to dispel all doubts about their performance. Yea, you have a point because I also have that feeling that the game might end up in a draw because it is their first game in the season and they will be fully ready to put in more effort than expected. This will determine the both teams to end the game in a draw, but on the other hand, many will be expecting Manchester City to win the game because, based on some considerations, they are more fit than Inter Milan. because if not for anything, they are playing a home game, and that only is enough to make Manchester City willing to win the game and get more points so that they will be seen at the top of the table from the beginning of the season to the end, even though we all know it will be somehow hard for them to win the trophy this season.

Real Madrid definitely has an easy group stage, they are not facing any big teams, Dortmund shouldn't be that hard for them, and maybe Liverpool is the hardest but that's about it, rest seems even easier. Of course when you are one of the biggest teams in the world, it becomes very tough for you to face any team that is at least as good. I would say maybe PSG, Bayern, City are the only ones we can say that are on their level, and even they are questionable in most seasons as well, aside from those teams Real is the best team and they will keep on winning.

There is a reason why they keep winning the UCL, if they weren't this good, they wouldn't be able to do it so often. So when you are that good, teams that are not group stage material becomes boring games that doesn't feel like it's as good as even some league games.

Like Real will play against Brest, or Stuttgart, or Lille, or Salzburg, all of these teams feel like it's nothing compared to who they will end up playing normally at later stages. In any case, they have at least eight instead of six and that should be something to cheer for them, it would definitely be a good situation for them because they would make some more money.

Even though Arsenal has lesser odds than Bayern Munich but I still feel that Bayern Munich is better than Arsenal in the champions league and they proved it last season even though the strength of the both teams looks a bit equal but when we compare their performance in the champions league last season, Bayern Munich is stronger but let's see how it goes again this season if Arsenal can realize themselves and do more better than they did last season.

Inter Milan isn't going to be an easy opponent side for Manchester City in this clash , yes Manchester seem better, but if we consider Inter Milans performance last season at Italian serie A league side , you'll get to know that this is going to be a 50/50 chance kind of game which will be open for hmboth side , will be a game of who utilizes they vey best opportunity they got to score.
