Can’t believe the CL starts again next week. I hate the new format but no point complaining. It’s by far the most prestigious trophy to win in club football.
Time flies, and the most anticipated Champions League will be back next week, I am very happy to see that the time has come, we will start to have complete joy in watching the Champions League.
The new format didn’t looks friendly for most of us because we are used to the previous format, but with time, I am sure we will get used to it because I believe that the FIFA and UEFA bring the new method to make the competition more competitive than it used to be.

Quote

I will be fully behind Arne Slot and the Mighty Red Men. I think we can do well this season, who knows how far we could go. We are one of the teams capable of winning it though, with fortress Anfield on our side.
Yea, Arne Slot and his players can surprise the entire world if they can make it to win the Champions League because he is having a good season in the Premier League and his team looks stronger than many teams in the Champions League; nevertheless, there are other teams that are also willing to win the Champions League, and I am very sure this will be a competitive season because Arsenal, Manchester City, Bayer Leverkusen, Bayern Munich, Inter Milan, and other teams will also wants to win the Champions League.

The bad luck due to the increasing number of player injuries has made it difficult for Ancelotti to formulate a strategy with the players he has. If this condition continues, it will be difficult for Real Madrid to maintain its best performance. The disparity in quality between key players and reserve players can affect the balance of the team, Mbappe presence has also not had a positive impact on Real Madrid front line, he has only been able to score two goals since defending Real Madrid. Ancelotti must be able to keep his team's performance on the best track even though he currently cannot play several key players. If he can manage the team well in difficult times like this, it will be very difficult to match the strength of Real Madrid when the key players can play again.
Calling this bad luck may not be the best term to use as at this point because i think it will be rather not exactly true because actually it's normal that when a team isn't in their best form they will suffer some set backs which isn't necessarily seen as bad luck because they can definitely bounce back to becoming their best form as they use to be all the while. For Madrid I believe it's a metter of time and one thing i can trust them with at this time is that they aren't going to decline so bad so at point of recovery it will seem as though there was never any set back.

I do not think Real Madrid will have easy time in Champions League with their current team. They have history of doing well in tournament but last year they got lucky because of mistakes made by other teams. They also won some games at very last minute. Other teams like Bayern Munich could have won if they made different decisions. This means Real Madrid did not just win because they were best but also because of things outside of their control. So I think they will face problems in Champions League with their current team.

Why do you think this? Real Madrid hasn't changed the team, they've just added a couple of pieces, so I don't see any reason to say that the team isn't good.
I am convinced, very convinced, that Real Madrid will get to the end, as usual.
I'm not sure he will be able to win the cup again, but he will certainly reach the semi-final.

I also think that with the potential of players like the one in Real Madrid it is impossible to lose in a round that is not of value, they will definitely get their position for the better, only with the performance like now it does make many people pessimistic with their potential whether they can qualify further Or not, but in terms of my observations, they will be quite capable even more than the semi -finals.

They only need some time to adjust their strength again.

Everyone is free to speculate, it is not certain that the favorite team can win the trophy, it could happen the other way around and it is not impossible. Madrid, Man City and Bayern Munchen are the most favorite teams for Champions League fans today, because in general they have more complete attributes than other contestants. Experience, squad depth, champion mentality are the attributes that most influence the results, besides the presence of an experienced manager is also another important factor. As we know, the challenge of winning the trophy this season is clearly more competitive with the addition of matches that each team must go through.

Meanwhile, the Champions League will roll in the next five days, but each contestant will play one match in their respective domestic competitions first. The match can at least be used as a reference to predict the journey of each team in the Champions League later. Likewise with Madrid, it is still difficult to predict the journey of Ancelotti squad for now. But at a glance I agree, they still have the potential to defend the trophy, or at least make it to the semi-finals this season. Let's just wait and see how the atmosphere of the new format of the Champions League will work.

Well I don't think so IMO, Madrid has been qualifying to play in UCL for so many years ,they played with alot of teams so that strategy thing is out for me....they wouldn't have made it through to last year's final if not for some overlooked mistakes by opponent  and this is mostly die minute win though Madrid has a strategy of playing fast pressing games in their last minutes but I think those stuffs that happened last year won't repeat itself especially  Bayern, Bayern could have reached the finals if not for the last minute subs . Thus saying Realmadrid won't have difficulty issue in UCL with their current squad  doesn't seem right to me.

Did any team ever have an easy time winning the Champions League? As far as I can remember, no team ever went through the Champions League as if there was no real competition. All the titles that Real Madrid won over the course of the last decade came with a lot of luck and a lot of effort. Some of the titles could have gone either way. Think about all the last second goals they scored or the times when there was no VAR and scored offside goals against Bayern Munich.

It doesn't matter what the name of your team is, whether that be Manchester City or Real Madrid, the Champions League remains the hardest competition by far. Otherwise Manchester City would have won the title more often, but they didn't and that says a lot about the level of the tournament and all the minor details that play a role for the final outcome.

If a team wins trophies multiple times, then I think it's better to acknowledge the greatness and good quality that they have. Unless, for example, Real Madrid only managed to win the trophy once then it's appropriate to say things like the team, about the other team making mistakes that made Real Madrid win. Because Real Madrid are the most successful team in the Champions League, so of course there will always be tension in the match so the opposing team also makes mistakes and that's normal.

After all, if the opposing team is the best team compared to Real Madrid,  then the opposing team you are referring to should not make mistakes. So, just because the team you're referring to made some mistakes,it's not the best team and the winning team and the trophy-winning team is clearly the best team, so just acknowledge the impressive quality that Real Madrid has. But indeed, for this season, although Real Madrid has the best young squad, but it is also still not a guarantee for Real Madrid to get the Champions League trophy this season.

I don’t see anything much different from their last season to this season. They’ve just upgraded their squad with more players that will help them become better in the competition and not have any issue in this season. If they’ve won the champions league last season because of silly mistakes from their opponents, the opponents should learn from their mistakes and improve in this season because there’s no room for blame games when a team has already triumph and win a trophy.

All is see is a more better Real Madrid that will play better than they did last season and if teams(I.e opponents) don’t take their matches serious, we won’t be surprised to see them win the trophy for another time since they’re the kings of the champions league and they’ve proven it several times in the past and currently doing so. Mbappe and co in the forward position makes me believe and have more confidence on Real Madrid. They are still the same team that has the potentials to win the UCL trophy this year again.

The only problem for Sir Ancelotti is to arrange the players he has on the pitch well and make them play well. He has some extraordinary players and just as many others have arrived like Mbappe. He has a replacement for another 10 years so he can stay calm and play the football he knows how to do. to win
The bad luck due to the increasing number of player injuries has made it difficult for Ancelotti to formulate a strategy with the players he has. Although Real Madrid is currently plagued by injuries, when it comes to the UCL competition, they will always be the favorites. Ancelotti can certainly maximize the current players to continue to perform well, especially since Real Madrid's reserve players are no less great than the core players. Let's just trust Ancelotti, he must have a plan.
Regarding Mbappe in the last La Liga match, he has slowly been able to find his rhythm with El Real,
we must be patient and give him time.

For me the problem is actually in the defense line, because some of their injured midfielders are reported to only be a few weeks away from returning to the main team squad. as for the others, they are predicted to recover and return to training in the coming months. but if the defenders are out for a long time, it will be very detrimental. with a tight schedule, the players will definitely be drained of energy. in the end, they are prone to injury. currently Ancelotti is certainly formulating his plan so that his team continues to perform at its best, especially since the matches they will play in the next few weeks are not against the top teams. at least, this situation provides money for the players to recover from their injuries quickly. IMO, for now I suspect Don Carlo is focusing on his front line. the point is, Mbappe has not shown consistent stable performance. only scoring two goals, not a benchmark to judge that he is in his best form. in La Liga Madrid will visit Real Sociedad's headquarters. while in the Champions League, they will host Stuttgart. in theory, Madrid are much more favored.

The UEFA Champions League competition returns next week Tuesday as a lot of games will be played in the first match week of the season. So I'm curious to know which of the fixtures in the first match week interests you the most. For me, I'll be more interested in the Manchester City vs Inter Milan game that'll be played on Wednesday at the Etihad. that'll be the first game between the two former European champions since they past met in the 2023 final which Manchester narrowly won.

What's your own game of interest in the first match week of the new UCL season

We will be presented with many big matches with this new Champions League format and one of them is the meeting of 2 clubs that met in the final in the previous season where at that time Manchester City managed to beat Inter Milan and at the same time they were able to win their first Champions League title. This will be one of the most awaited matches. Will Inter Milan be able to avenge their revenge? or will Manchester City continue their winning streak when facing Inter Milan? We will see that later after the match. Now they will do preparation after preparation, they are very aware that every point will be very valuable for them to be able to advance to the next round. They also definitely want the best, and their closest target is to be able to qualify for the last 16 without going through the play-off round.

Kylian Mbappe in the squad, memorable moment for every Madrid fan out there. Real Madrid are build with extraordinary players, we're talking about players that are ready know what to do and winning is priority to them. Real Madrid are elite club compared to most of these European clubs and the UEFA Champions League is definitely the major tournament that proves everything. Real Madrid been able to win games and lift major titles without exception is something that does ring a bell. Real Madrid headcoach, Carlo Ancelotti have more problems to deal with in Santiago Bernabéu. He's probably one of the best coaches in La Liga and he's been nothing but an exclusive addition to the team's growth.

Injury problems are the main problem that must be resolved immediately by Ancelotti at this time, It is reported that currently a total of 9 Madrid players are injured, so this makes Ancelotti have to find the right solution so that they can still compete in La Liga and the Champions League, but there is good news, which now makes Ancelotti a little relieved after Militao is reported to have recovered, even though he may not immediately play in the match against Real Sociedad weekend, what happened to Madrid is quite worrying, but I think Ancelotti will be able to overcome this problem based on his experience and coaching ability so far.

If we talk about Madrid attack line, of course they look very perfect even though there is not yet a good cohesiveness between the players, but actually the problem with Madrid now is that their midfield which is no longer strong after Kross retired and also Bellingham, Camavinga and Tchouameni were injury,  a midfield that looks fragile clearly causes a lot of problems considering that the injured player has been the organizer of Madrid attacks all this time, apart from having an effect on their attack, the fragile midline also makes their defense line very weak because it is difficult to stop the flow of attacks from the opponent during this time and We can see how easily opposing players exploit Madrid defense in their last 4 matches in La Liga.

I will even say that Bayern could have won if the referees had made different decisions, but that is no longer important. I agree with you that Real Madrid was very lucky in several matches of the Champions League. It is obvious that they have more problems now and this is already reflected in their results in La Liga, I think that in the Champions League they will be even more obvious because the opponents there are also stronger. But perhaps this will be more obvious at later stages of the tournament.
One thing you should understand is that Real Madrid is more focused in UCL than in Laliga. Their poor performance in Laliga currently does not mean that if they are playing in the champions league that they will not perform well. Ypu should remember that group stage is always not difficult for them to qualify.

What i only see as a challenge for them currently is the number of their injured players that might not recover quick but i think Ancelotti will take care of it

In football sometimes a team needs luck to win a match, I think that's a common thing. Even when it's something that becomes controversial in the end, but it still can't be separated from football. This will be part of football, I think. In fact, when Real Madrid won the Champions League title, they didn't get it easily. They worked hard to get that success. Apart from that, mentality also speaks volumes. You said they were able to score goals several times at the end of the match which ultimately made them win a match. Well, when that happens, their mentality will work, because when a team doesn't have a mentality, then when time is running out and they become desperate with everything. While Real Madrid is not a team like that, they will continue to fight until the match is really over, that's what is called mentality.

The number of competitions that Madrid has to play certainly forces them to be able to rotate players well, as a big team and handled by experienced coach, of course they don't want to lose a single trophy from the competition they participate in ,so I think all competitions will certainly be played seriously and not just La Liga and the Champions League, see the number of injured players at the moment, Madrid journey may be a little difficult, but that doesn't mean they won't focus on all of these competitions, because we know how Madrid and Ancelotti have had great ambitions to win every trophy so far.
The player injuries experienced by Real Madrid at this time could indeed be an obstacle for Real Madrid to perform well in every match, but I also believe in the level of consistency of the current Real Madrid team. Because Real Madrid's mentality in the Champions League is always very big and Ancelotti himself certainly knows what to do and give his best for the team with the current conditions even though one of them is having to be smart enough in rotating players when the match schedule looks quite close for several competitions.
This is exactly one of the secrets behind the Spanish dominance of European football, In Spain they only have the Spanish la Liga and the Copa del Rey which is the league cup to play for whereas in other leagues like the premiership they have too many competitions like the FA cup, the caraboa, the premiership, which make it tedious and strenuous for the player who either get injured in the long run perhaps get affected psychologically as a result of the fatigue they are often exposed to due to the much games they're expected to play althrough the season. But in the case of the Spanish sides like Real Madrid, it's a bit easy for them because the league fixtures is strategically arranged in a manner that it doesn't choke the teams and the same applies to league cup as well, so there's enough time for players to be rotated and rested which is good for the players health and the teams productivity.

Losing Bellingham is a strong blow for Madrid at the moment because he does have the ability to play in different positions while in the squad, but we also cannot deny that the arrival of Mbappe has at least filled the hole that Bellingham has left in the front line, so that currently Ancelotti just need to find the right formula to overcome the problems in the midfield,

Bellingham injury will certainly have a little setback to the real Madrid team because he handles a very crucial area for the club which is midfield and I don't think there is anyone who can handle it more than the way he does because his performance reduces the workload of there defense line since there defense are not that strong, actually with what is happening now on real Madrid is very good they were able to signed Mbappe because a situation like this players like Mbappe and some others will certainly no how they can remedy the challenges they feel they are having.

The little problem they will have just as you said is there midfield because Bellingham plays a vital role on that area, so is left for there coach to develop and use the right strategy to cover up until Bellingham returns from the injury because he may be recovering much quicker than we anticipated.
