I think Ancelotti has been able to polish Mbappe and also several other players very well before the match took place so that Mbappe and his friends could play like that even though Mbappe had to be pulled out and replaced by Rodrygo before half the round. Real Madrid know that they have to be able to win in three more matches for this round and one of them is by beating Atalanta so Real Madrid only has to think about continuing to improve in two more matches in the Champions League before entering the playoff phase.

Allison did a great job bailing out a couple of times, but still I don't think you can say Girona played well, otherwise at least a draw with Liverpool would have been at least. The penalty was really controversial, but without it I think Liverpool would have scored, just already realizing that this game almost nothing decides Liverpool players seemed just do not want to score and especially bad was Darwin Nunez.
In general in this game Liverpool did not deserve to win, but apparently this is the class of the team, when it does not have the strength still achieves the desired result.

Leverkusen always makes surprises in the final minutes. Inter is Inter as it should be typical of an Italian club that is only able to defend when it has no chance. Inter has a solid defense but once again defending alone is not enough if it can get out of pressure. Leverkusen deserves to win and occupy 2nd position in the standings after Liverpool.

This is not luck but in terms of quality Madrid deserves to win. Atalanta also did not play badly, it's just that they don't have players who can accompany Lookman in attacking. If you watched, you must know that Madrid played quite well in the match. The rating of their front line is above average.

The energy I saw in the game between Real Madrid and Atalanta shows how they prepared for the match, I guess the book markers never expected Real Madrid team to win from away since they have been having a difficult season which has affected their performance generally but seeing how they defeated Atalanta with a 3odd is something people really needs to respect the team because despite their poor form they still knows how to get a good result that's why they took the lead very early with Mbappe finding the back of the net in just 10 minutes into the game. The Atalanta team performance was great because they kept the defense of Real Madrid busy all through the game and seeing how Ademola Lookman got a beautiful strike that gave them the second goal made most people think the game was ending in a 3:3 draw but Real Madrid managed to hold still till the final whistle.

Both teams to score was the best option for the match knowing that both teams are good in front of goals but the Bayern Munich game that ended in a 1:5 came as a surprise to me because I was expecting Bayern Munich to win with mush goals but I wasn't expecting them to concede that early goal they conceded in 5 minutes from a weak team like Shakhtar Donetsk.

Unexpected victory Real Madrid won big over Atlanta in the Champions League. Vinicius, Mbappe and Bellingham worked hard starting from the first minute and for this victory we need to know about Mbappe's biggest payout after recovering from injury. Girona is a good team, but it's bad that they don't have a quality striker. They do not have an effective football player to make the last shot. They find positions but they miss a lot of goals.

Wonderful performance by Real Madrid tonight, something I never thought was possible given that they went away and kept Atalanta busy all through the 90 minutes of play. It is interesting to note that the three shining stars of Real Madrid, in the persons of Vinicius, Mbappe and Bellingham, scored a goal each to make Real Madrid prevail over Atalanta. I was thinking that the reverse would be the result of this match but seems that was wrong and I'm glad I did not put money in it. My only regret is not betting both teams to score or on total goal because I knew there will be many goals in the match just like the match of Bayern Munic as well. It is obvious the big teams are not more serious than previous rounds of the champions league.

I have to says Brest is very lucky because during Group phase they do not have hard schedules and from all of the teams which they faced in this stages only Barcelona and Real Madrid as their strongest opponents and last night Brest has just gets their 4th winning this season by beating PSV with narrow score 1-0 and i think Brest records a bit unique this season because at Ligue 1 their performance is erratic and Brest even currently only can occupy 11th place and still hard struggling to find their consistency

But in Champion league Brest is really different because as a debut team Brest performance is really impressive compared to all of mediocre teams who playing at this competition and according to the schedules next match Brest will fight against Shakhtar Donetsk and if Brest can win from this match i think they can finish at top 8 and advances to the next stages without having to go through the playoff stage

It's too many players totated by Inzaghi. He did crap to his club in this game. He forced his player to play defensively against Leverkusen without combining it with counter attack. Not even a single goal attempt was recorded by his club, which is very embarrassing.

Inzaghi forgot he has no someone like Lukaku who can held several players at once like when Lukaku was there. Someone who can help him in counter attack. I wanted Intermilan to qualify as soon as possible, but they keep repeating the same shite. Inzaghi deserves a criticism for his overall approach to the game.

I hope this is going to be Inzaghi's last time to use this kind of strategy. Enough is enough. I don't like this.

Girona actually played a great game but the result was unfair to them. It seems they're still being accompanied by the bad luck of finding it hard to score a goal. Liverpool beat them by chance from controversial penalty. If match result is determined by team performance and not the goal scored, Girona deserve the victory or at least draw will be a fair result.

It's now six matches and six wins for Liverpool. Liverpool remain the perfect team in the UEFA champions league this season with Mo Salah scoring his 50th goal in the competition to keep them on track.

I decided yesterday to take a risk and bet on Real, because very rarely on Real give such odds and I made 2 bets on the victory of Real and that Real will not lose, just for the sake of insurance and both bets were justified. I also doubted whether to bet, but when I watched the match Liverpool and after the first half was the odds on the victory of Liverpool 1.65 I was afraid to bet, although I thought that Liverpool will win and after the victory of Liverpool decided not to miss Real and the bet justified.
Real were certainly lucky, especially in the beginning when Mbappe scored and then because of injury left and came out instead of him Vinicius and together with Bellingham they got the victory for Real.
I liked Bellingham yesterday even more than Mbappe and Vinicius and it's just a terrific player with no weaknesses. Bellingham works on defense and offense, can pass, can pass, can score with both feet, is tough and responsible and I think he means even more to Real than Vinicius. 

from all indication, you could see that a lot is missing in the Madrid team in terms of fitness and even though vini is back, he had a lot of misplaced passes and his runs was not close to that level he normally operate at maybe because he is yet to recover fully. nice play from Atalanta most especially from Ademola lookman who was a big threat to the Madrid defense from the start of the game to the finish. it is another lucky result for the Madrid team especially that last chance from Rategui, who would have expected that such a player will miss an open net in the last minute of an extra game against Madrid when you are playing home? this are the kind of chances that Madrid would never miss if they are going down and last season of the champions league, they have had such kind of tight come back and it would have been really interesting to see them suffering similar fat6e at the time they needed more wins.

winning this is a boost to them because of all the games they have left, this is the toughest one they had in their list that looked as one that will stop them from proceeding into the next round, winning this will certainly give them that boost that the coming games will be easier more so considering that the key players are almost coming back in full.  

what I saw yesterday was incredible in Liverpool, because I thought Liverpool will not going to win that game after the first half ended up in 0:0, and no single sign that Liverpool will beat Gorina in their home without allow them to secure a single goal from the game. The most important thing in a game is to secure a Victory no matter how tough the game is, which is what Liverpool is doing currently because they beat their opponent last game to secure victory and they still did the same thing to Gorina in their home to secure another victory to maintain a good position that may lead them to lift this UEFA champion league trophy.

I know Liverpool use to lose control when the tournament is coming to an end and is not making their fans to be happy, I think this Liverpool new coach will not allow such thing to happen in his season, which is the confident I have for Liverpool new couch in this season.

What a dramatic win by Leverkusen, Inter was trying to make the match ends in draw, but we never know the last minute will give them a chance to score a goal.

Real Madrid is just lucky to win this match, Atalanta dominated on the pitch. If the last chance Rategui didn't shot too high, Atalanta would equalize the point and make the match ends in draw. It's what it's, this might be a turning point for Real Madrid to regain back their confidence, you know Atalanta is one of the strongest team in this season.

The most prominent problem for Dortmund this season has been their away performance in the Bundesliga. Nuri Sahin has failed to record a single win in six league away games, but in the Champions League they are pushing for the top and have been much more effective. I think they also performed well in the recent draws against Bayern Munich and Mönchengladbac. In defense, Süle's situation is uncertain, but with Nmecha in midfield, Emre Can could be moved to defense. Barcelona have no problem scoring in the Champions League. Although they stumbled in La Liga, they are still very dangerous, especially in the attacking line. Both teams have enormous potential in the attacking zone. I think the team defenses may be extra heavy in this match. Both teams will try to reach the summit in this match and mutual goals are preferable for betting.

Girona still can't recover from their slump in the champions league at the moment, the defeat to Liverpool further closed their chances of staying in the champions league this season, but apart from the previous match against PSG, the match against Liverpool really surprised me, although they were underestimated to win in that match but instead girona managed to force Liverpool to work hard to get 3 points, even I think Arne slot squad was lucky because Allisson Becker was on their crossbar, but if not,I think the penalty goal from Salah was still not enough for them to win that the match.

Having 7 points remaining awhile from Atalanta on 9th standings place can't catch up yet but have wait for today all Champion League matches play will Liverpool get qualify in this matchday or waiting for upcoming match.

Champion League season 2024/25 adopted new format only Liverpool become unbeaten team and success winning all six matches, looks easily for Liverpool how their dominance in this season by defeating any top teams from Madrid, Bayern Leverkusen and AC Milan.
Have two matches left against Lille and PSV looks not difficult keep unbeaten and winning all phase league matches for Liverpool and leading the first standings position.

Among all these games, their were two games that I was really looking up to and of a truth they lived up to their hype, which was the game between;
 Bayern Leverkusen vs inter Milan,
RB Leipzig vs Aston villa

I know that inter Milan was the favourite here considering their history in the uefa champions league and their present form, but I believe that Bayern Leverkusen has what it takes to give them a very good fight and I actually wasn't disappointed, though I thought that it might end in a draw due to the fact that Bayern Leverkusen was at home, but it ends one nil in favor of Bayern Leverkusen which shows how tight the game was.

Then as for the RB Leipzig game vs Aston villa, I expected Aston villa to cause them a whole lot of problems, but I never thought that they have the capacity to win Leipzig on their own backyard, it shows how far this Aston villa side have improved this season, because they have already beaten Bayern Munich earlier in this year champions league, a big congratulations to them anyway for getting the job done.

Honestly looking at the match highlight Girona managed to get into their backline multiple times. Poor finishing and Alisson's performance basically saved Liverpool from conceding goals. I don't think their defense is quite solid unless the flag is always late. Not sure if that's the case for their first few chances though. Girona put up a decent fight IMO. That being said, winning the next 2 games is a must if they want to finish in the top 24 if my math is right. That feels an impossible mission considering they face Milan and Arsenal next. CMIIW.
