The remaining ones are more difficult of course. The Bayern Munich one is the most difficult one to me. Right after that the Dortmund one comes. They are one of the last finalists in the Champions League. I still want to believe in Hansi Flick's team to collect really good amount of points. I think it is time for Barcelona to wake up in this tournament also just as they have done in the La Liga this season.

This will be a repeat match like before where Barcelona will have a nightmare when facing Bayern Munich and even if you look at social media, one of Bayern Munich's veteran players, Thomas Muller, has started to greet them again. But apart from the drama, I'm pretty sure that Barcelona in the Champions League this season is not a team that can be joked about anymore and they are very ready with full strength to face their opponents.

If we talk about their chances of qualifying from this league phase, of course Blaugrana must be able to get every point from their mediocre opponents but if they lose points it will add to the burden they have to feel.

Big matches comes too early this season because new format has just forcing PSG to facing several strong teams on League phase but in the last 2 matches in Ligue 1 i can says PSG performance is very fantastic because they can win with big scores and i think Luis Enrique has successfully to solved the problem by losing Mbappe because without him PSG even can performing well but indeed at League phase their journey is a bit hard because Manchester City, Arsenal and Bayern Munich is strong opponents for them

I don’t view this new format in that sense. From the end of last season this new method has been proposed and all teams playing in the champions league already knew how the format is going to be, so they ought to have prepared well for it by now. Fatigue and rotation of players will be necessary if they’re employing this new format, so I expect them to have already tackled that. For unforeseen circumstances, they should be able to minimise it if they’ve already prepared for the new format. It won’t make them depreciated in performance if at all something happens to affect them during the course of the new champions league format.

This is where one would know a smart coach because he will find a means to make sure that his players don't have fatigue and a strategy which he will use that will benefit him with this new format in UCL.

Coaches that are not smart will not be able to understand how to manage their players but I believe that as time goes by many coaches will adapt to this new format and understand how to play their players so that they can qualify to the round of 16. I feel this new format will make most clubs to sit up and take every of their matches serious because you cannot be assured that you have qualified until the last match is played.

This new structure will, believe me, help to differentiate the pretenders from the contenders. You are not hiding behind the home crowd or depending on those comfortable home strategies. Every squad has to bring their best, every time they set foot on the field.

This is going to be a coach's dream. There is no more playing it safe or consistent home-and-away patterns. Although initially it could appear a bit complicated, this will be the most fascinating Champions League season in years. With limited room for error, we will see the top teams in Europe facing head-to-head week after week.

I don’t view this new format in that sense. From the end of last season this new method has been proposed and all teams playing in the champions league already knew how the format is going to be, so they ought to have prepared well for it by now. Fatigue and rotation of players will be necessary if they’re employing this new format, so I expect them to have already tackled that. For unforeseen circumstances, they should be able to minimise it if they’ve already prepared for the new format. It won’t make them depreciated in performance if at all something happens to affect them during the course of the new champions league format.

This year in group stage each team will play 8 games against 8 different teams. 2 teams each from each of the 4 pots, one home and one away. in these eight games no games against clubs from the same nation, not more than two teams from the same nation.

in the group stage, there will be one single points table for all 36 teams. The top 8 will go to the last 16 directly. no 9-24 will play an additional round of home-away knockouts and the winners go to the last 16.

Too many matches for the players, but for the viewers there will be a lot of games to watch all through the season, so that's a plus. Which teams will be able to stay at the top 8? Definitely something to watch.
