The former champions and pride of London(Chelsea) have just been eliminated at the Bernabeu stadium. Such a beautiful match to talk about after a wizardry assists from Modric at the end of the second half and Benzema making the difference at extra time. Cold night for Chelsea. Where does football go from here? Fantastic performance from the blues. They fought a good fight tonight despite losing to Real Madrid
I as a football connoisseur was very impressed with Thomas Tuchel's men how they put on such an extraordinary performance even though they had to be eliminated from Real Madrid through extra time where Karim Benzema's goal made the England representative have to be eliminated in the quarter-finals.but the struggle of the players Chelsea deserves our appreciation.maybe the luck factor also slightly influenced Real Madrid's qualification to the semifinals this season
Apart from the defeat, Chelsea did look amazing in this second leg, they were even able to turn things around even though they actually lost in the end. These 3 goals under pressure from the Real Madrid crowd is absolutely incredible, plus they were trailing in the first leg. But Real Madrid are a mentally strong team, so they can overcome their losses in peace.
I believed that
Chelsea would be defeated easily, but they stunned me with their performance and now I’m really feeling bad for them as I felt they deserved to win this fixture after seeing them play so well.
I'm not surprised by Villarreal's performance. Lewandowski scored again but that wasn't enough. In last two minutes Villarreal hunted them by Chukwueze's counter-attack goal. Emery studied well, he knows how to play in knockout stages. They passed Bayern just like how they passed Juventus. It's like a dream come true for Villarreal. I wonder if they can see final game as well.
On the other side Chelsea almost made the comeback but they couldn't finish it. What a pass from Modric to Rodrygo. A moment of concentration loss in both goals cost them qualification. Benzema may be the favorite of Ballon d'Or with this performance this year.
I just can't believe how Munich got knocked out in the quarter-finals. I think Munich is the favorite for the final. but in reality, they did not easily get past the quarter-finals and had to be beaten by Villarreal.
Munich played very openly because they were chasing goals down. they managed to equalize but in the end, they had to lose. Villarreal read well the strategy and gaps from Munich. good ending for Villarreal.
@GatoKaca this loss for
Bayern was totally unexpected and I’m that sure many people would have wagered on them, and lastly lots of credits goes to Villarreal for knocking out one of the favourites to win the champions league.
