This is the first time in the history of Bayern Munich that has been eliminated by Villareal from UCL although the match takes place at home to Bayern, in la league villareal are in 7th place but in UCL they made it to the semi-finals, what a great thingLike i expected that this will happen. I said before that Villereal saved players against Bilbao for this match and their players were well rested for this match. Everybody expected lots of goals but they parked the bus and knocked them out with counter attacks like expected. Huge win from the Europe League champions
Villarreal playing defensively would have been expected, but Bayern Munich were indeed not upto their usual standard and this has been somewhat obvious in the last 5 matches or more, the players played really rusty and weren't as sharp as they used to be, just possession upon possession but their touches in the final was a complete let down.
Congratulations to Villarreal, one cannot say they don't deserve this with their performance over the two legs.
