Hopefully we will watch these both guys playing in same team in next season as rumours around going on for Lewandowski who is trying to go to Real Madrid for his last few seasons and if Mbappé deal not happen then surely he will go through without any big trouble.

Now with these results we have two teams in semifinal and two teams need some more work to done for their spots in last four.

Remember though that in the past few seasons we have seen huge turnarounds with 3 goal deficits. Barcelona has been part of that several times of course and they are no longer playing, and I sort of agree that Real and Liverpool are the types of teams that do not suffer a turnaround so easily (they might lose but not to the point of 2 goals to force penalties or 3 goals to lose outright).

I believe Chelsea believes they can do it, and Benfica as well,,, as neutrals I think Benfica v Villareal is a big statement for Champions League Smiley

Benzema played excellent football and scored a hat trick, Real Madrid was able to win the game thanks to 2 goals in 3 minutes. Actually, Chelsea also had a lot of good scoring chances, but they weren't very good at scoring goals. They took 20 shots and scored only one goal. If they had been a little luckier, there wouldn't have been such a difference. They have conceded too many goals at home Smiley

Benzema is on fire
Benzema have been a goal machine ever since Ronaldo departed from the club. He is really putting in his best effort for the team to succeed. His performance against Chelsea was extra-fantastic. Destroying Chelsea at Stamford Bridge was the least thing I was probably expecting. Also, Benzema has scored a goal of 35 goals this season (11 in Champion League and 24 in La Liga). I have this feeling that, Real Madrid will end up winning the Champions League. Anyways, let's see who Chelsea will retaliate in the Quarter finals second leg.
The second leg will be tough for Chelsea. they had to play away, under pressure from the Madrid fans. it will be difficult to catch up with the aggregate of 3-1. Madrid could have appeared more aggressive. it will make it difficult for Chelsea who can be hit by more goals.
I believe Chelsea has lost their place for trophies.
The Blues missed an opportunity at Stamford Bridge, and it will be difficult for them to get back on top when visit at Santiago Bernabéu. It is obvious that Karim Benzema will not give up the match easily at Santiago Bernabéu. Karim Benzema is currently at the height of his career. It's obvious he's gonna shine.

After an outstanding performance against Chelsea, Karim Benzema has been named Champions League Player of the Week. And not just for the week. Benzema should also be crowned champion of the season. The award should have gone to him, he deserve it.

Karim benzema is and will be a Real Madrid legend, for me he  and lawandowski are the best striker In the world right now, he has improved this Real Madrid team so much, what I like about his football is his act of taking responsibility, when Ronaldo left they brought in Eden Hazard and increase Gareth Bale salary but none of them both have contribute to Madrid success than Karim benzema has did,and he has improved the young wizard (vinicuus junior) also.without Karim benzema, Real Madrid won't have won Chelsea on Wednesday night.
I agree with you both Benzema and Lewandowski are currently the best strikers in the world,i would give a small edge to Benzema due to playing in a lot harder league and different play style then Bundesliga. Both Hazard and Bale currently are just only their for money and arent playing at all currently
No doubt these two are currently world's deadliest strikers which can destroy any defence without any special trick, and we watch Benzema in last few matches as he has done his job against PSG and now Chelsea, surely a class performance from this guy. Lewandowski is doing business for Bayern Munich for many years without any doubt he is also best.

Hopefully we will watch these both guys playing in same team in next season as rumours around going on for Lewandowski who is trying to go to Real Madrid for his last few seasons and if Mbappé deal not happen then surely he will go through without any big trouble.

Yes, I also expected Bayern won the match 3-0. But in reality, they were defeated 0-1 by Villareal. All Villareal players did a solid game, it makes Bayern have 0 away goal. However, most people believe Bayern will bounce back at their home. I hear in many discussions that people predict Bayern will win 2-0 at least in their home (Leg 2). So, people are still confident that Bayern can eliminate Villareal in this round.

To be honest, this result was not what I expected. Villarreal is a team that plays very well and has a very good strategy. But Bayern is one of the best attacking teams this year and I think they are still one of the best in the league, even though their performance has not been the same for the last few weeks.

But Villarreal did a great job and didn't let their opponent score. Still, I think we will not see such a score in the next match and Bayern will beat it Smiley
Still have 2nd leg for Bayern Munich to win above 2 goal and lead to semi final Champion League but need to scoring goals on the early minutes, actually Bayern Munich not have consistent performance on away match, last round on 16 phase 1st leg held by Salzburg after on 2nd leg success defeated with bigger score, but have different level between Salzburg and Villareal. Actually Villareal will adopt with defensive games play on 2nd leg and take held how to make Bayern Munich difficulty how scoring goal. Will be interested for second leg match between Bayern Munich vs Villareal and winning 1 goal is not guarantee easy for Villareal on second leg.

Of the 8 remaining teams, Liverpool is one of the favorites to qualify from this quarter-final. They only need to get a draw in the second leg later, and this is an easy job for them especially they will play the match in front of their own supporters. I even predict they will win again for the second leg later. They are the highest team to qualify from the other teams.
What about Real Madrid?
Liverpool's easy win in the 1st leg over Benfica wasn't too surprising, but Real Madrid were able to punish Chelsea in front of their own fans with Karim Benzema's 3 goals which was a surprise. What comes to our minds when Real Madrid will face Chelsea at the Santiago Bernabeu in the second leg?

I think the statistics will convince you that Chelsea's downfall is caused by their conceded 7 goals in their last two games at Stamford Bridge. They don't have an owner, so no one has fired anyone, and they do whatever they want. Despite Chelsea's greatness, Real Madrid will win at the Santiago Bernabéu by no means a miracle.
It's not right for Chelsea defeat to be attributed to non-ownership so their claim to do anything as you say is completely illogical and the Chelsea fans also don't want to be linked with Chelsea ownership issues with Chelsea performances on the pitch. Real Madrid really showed their mentality as the owner of a big history in the Champions League.

Liverpool and Real Maldrid are on the same boat at the moment. All the two need to qualify for the Semi finals is a draw or a single goal to win. When Chelsea eventually visits Santiago Bernabeu it will be a completion of what Benzema began at Standford bridge. For Benfica visiting Anfield it will  be difficult to see Benfica turn the game around in the second leg
Yes. Liverpool and Real Madrid need only draws as they serve Benfica at Anfield and Chelsea at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Liverpool was inevitable in the game against Benfica. Despite that they are away, they still got better results away. The moment I saw the lineup, I knew Benfica can't withstand the pressure the reds will bring in the game. Secondly, Jurgen Klopp is an experience coach, and he is aiming at the champions league final. I doubt if Benfica would play anything in the second leg. The worst thing for Benfica was that, they couldn't secured a draw at their own home. It's was a big humiliation for them after managing to get this far in the champions league.

Villarreal really played an impressive performance in the game against Bayern Munich last night. They didn't allow a single goal to be conceded. In the Early minutes of the game, Arnaut Danjuma gave Villarreal the lead with a depletion. Then Close to stoppage time of first half, F. Coquelin made an Excellent cross outside the box, the ball hit the  woodwork before crossing the goalline, to give  Villarreal 2-0 lead, but  the goal was ruled out by VAR due to offside, Bayern Munich didn't settle till the end of the game. With the presence of their strikers, they still failed to net the ball in their opponents goal post. Villarreal was playing like  professionals and didn't allow their defense to
over lap in the game. The dispute of the home team was incredible. Perhaps Villarreal missed goal scoring chances.

I believe Chelsea has lost their place for trophies.
Thomas Tuchel confirmed he was very disappoint for Chelsea performance especially Lukaku that he has wasting several opportunity to score goals and Chelsea defensive also playing poor in that match even Christensen failed to guard Vinicius and let this player free and Tuchel said too if in the second leg Chelsea playing poor again then he predict Chelsea will in trouble and probably lose again however with 3-1 aggregate i think Madrid is almost reach to semi-final because not easy to score 2 goals or more in Madrid home

Benzema is on fire

And this one is straight after his ridiculous heroics in the last round. The way he's going in the Champions League this season, he's really looking like one of the most important players in the world. Astonishing, he could pull Madrid all the way if he carries out n like this.
Yes lucky for real madrid benzema seem on a high level recently especially in this season if it wasn't for him real madrid wouldn't make it this far but i worry about them in the champions league because their defence is looking weak and if they face man city in the semi final they will be in big trouble.

Do you think Manchester City looks stronger? What about PSG who have very complete players they are only able to score 1 goal in each leg
We know there are flaws in Madrid defense but that's not too bad the same as other teams on average only conceded one goal
If you compare it to Madrid defeat against Barcelona it's a different situation.

Well, I'm seeing Real Madrid as a finalist, I don't think Chelsea can do anything else
Back then, everyone thought that Real Madrid was going to lose after PSG scored another goal but somehow they pulled the impossible then somehow managed to win. I wouldnt rule out Chelsea just yet although they need to score 3 nil to get to the next round. Its close to impossible but if you look at a different perspective then you know that Chelsea has nothing to lose so they will be playing all out on the next one but Real Madrid need to play abit on the defensive side to keep their advantage
Well, this possibility will still happen but if you look at Chelsea's previous performance, I am quite doubtful about it. they made too many unnecessary mistakes there which made an already superior Madrid even more profitable with the personal mistakes they made. other than that the problems that have been haunting them until now regarding ownership, sanctions issues etc are still unresolved problems so I really think this will be the end for Chelsea now
I think Chelsea still have chances in the second leg, because the example of Real Madrid itself shows that it is quite possible to score two goals in a few minutes and completely turn the course of the match. Although, of course, to do this, you need to minimize the number of mistakes in defense, which looks quite problematic for the current Chelsea. Everything is not as hopeless as it may look at first glance, it's enough to score a quick goal and then certain options will appear. Then Chelsea may have additional confidence in their abilities, and Real Madrid, on the contrary, may have some excitement. No one talks about winning in regular time, to begin with, you can try to translate the game at least into extra time.

I'm not underestimating Juventus but I believe they are not on the same level as Bayern.
Agree 100%. Bayern and Juventus aren't comparable. They are a bit different, Juventus is one level lower than Bayern. Especially in UCL competition, Juventus experienced a very bad performance in the last few years. While Bayern is always the favorite to be the UCL winner in every season of UCL competition. That's because Bayern is one of the strongest world football clubs.

The reason why Chelsea seemed like they played well was that they just had a bigger percentage of ball possession.
Yep. But dominating ball possessions will be useless without scoring any goals.
Chelsea may win the ball possession and shot attempts stats, but with zero (0) accuracy for shooting.  Cheesy

Everyone expects Bayern to win with at least 2 goals, but the reality is they are helpless to block Villareal players. Even though the ball position and passing are leaning toward Bayern. Bayern was dropped behind in the first minutes and can't take advantage of many opportunities in the next chance until the finish. so they will have to do hard work in leg 2. If they still want to continue to the semi-finals.

This is not just a prediction because Bayern Munich have done it not just once even for several times we can check it in match history
Besides that if we check the list of top scorers there are Bayern Munich players there it's a bit strange if Munich can't do it right
The percentage Munich has an 70% chance of qualifying it is based on the belief of all predictions here.

Benzema is on fire, after scoring 2 goals within the range of of 4 mins. He netted his first goal at 21th minutes and later scored another one in the 24th minutes. Karim Benzema would be looking for an hattrick desperately in this game. Blues defense is fallible to mistakes and it need to be corrected with immediate effect. Real Madrid are unstoppable in this game, the blues should improve in their defense. Thomas Tuchel should make instant changes in the second half inother not to get Eliminated from the quarter time, although there's still time for Chelsea to do a comeback in the second half.
Although comparison between Chelsea and Real Madrid is very crucial because there is a great difference in teams of experience on UEFA Champions League. But Benzema alone has become a legendary figure for Real Madrid, because he is a player that knows how to play the ball and know how to score goal. I am sure he will score more goals in second leg, because Chelsea's defense really bad, they need to sign more players
