There are only 2 candidates from Ligue 1 who qualify for the Champions League each season, and 1 other team has a chance of qualifying for the Champions League through the qualification pathway.

Somehow it is a shame that PSG is no longer in it. There is a lot of criticism of this team, I know that the game in question was already played last week. But in the first half, PSG really reigned supreme in Madrid. PSG would be one of the few teams capable of making it difficult for Bayern Munich and Manchester City. This round of the Champions League was just unbelievable. Ajax and Juventus both have been eliminated even though they were highly favourites in their matchups against Benfica and Villarreal respectively. And interestingly, they experienced the same scenario. They both took control of the game and found many chances to score. But none of them managed to score even one goal. Benfica defeated Ajax by 1-0 and Juventus were destroyed by Villarreal by 3-0. I was expecting to see Ajax and Juventus in the quarter finals. But football can be really interesting sometimes.
