After watching yesterday's game, I feel very bad. It was great to see the game between Real Madrid vs PSG. Because I've been a fan of Messi since I was little. I thought I would see a goal at Messi's feet tomorrow but it didn't happen. PSG played very well in the first half but didn't play well in the second half. Real Madrid's Benzema has played very well. At the end of all PSG 1-3 Real Madrid.
I think this result is inseparable from the winning mentality that Real Madrid has, Real Madrid is the team that has won the most UCL trophies even though they have lost in the 1st leg and left behind in the first half of the 2nd leg but their mentality is able to turn things around by scoring 3 goals . PSG don't lose in quality but they lose mentality.

Before the match begin some people predict Messi will scoring goals because during in Barcelona while against Madrid he always did that but in this match he seems to be dissapears and cannot showing good performance and Madrid deserved for this winning however besides that 2 england teams already qualified and next week if Man Utd and Chelsea can win which mean 4 england teams will went to quarterfinal and i expect all England teams in the final match
Messi not performing better like when he was in Barcelona can be because of age telling on him you can't expect him to be so active the way he was like 3,5 years back. Real Madrid performance was expressive, earlier before the match started I was contemplating if real madrid can defeat psg but Real Madrid ended up with good result.
It is okay for fans to have predicted that Messi would score against Madrid, his history with them is super impressive but what many failed to realise is that Messi hasn't been his best since joining PSG and again, age have a way of taking away some of the "superpowers" of these athletes. The four teams from the EPL are expected to qualify except for Manchester United that’s really lukewarm but if they do, it's very likely to get two of them facing each other in the final.

It was a very bad defending for PSG. They were the better side and had the oppurtunity to win the match after Mbappe's goal. I will continue to say it Mbappe, Neymar and Messi wouldn't survive together in PSG, one of them have to go. I am sure this loss would separate them. Legend Modric and the old war horse Karim are dependable player. They make me remember the saying that old wine taste better.

Of the 4 games that have not been played in the second leg, Chelsea has a great chance of qualifying and accompanying Bayern Munich, Liverpool, Manchester City, and Real Madrid who first stepped into the top 8. If Chelsea qualify, it will add representatives from England in the top 8, especially if Manchester United can win the match against Atletico Madrid, it is certain that the Champions League will be dominated by teams from England.

Before the first leg of the fixture, it was a common belief amongst football fans that PSG can dismantle and beat Real Madrid silly but what everyone thought Madrid had over them was the winning mentality and experience. Funny enough, this played out on both legs of the fixture. From the coach to the players in that Madrid team, they are strong mentally. Over 80% of the Madrid players are proven winners hence they were confident on turning the tie around and they so did.

^  With City hah, yeah.  That second leg against Lyon a couple of years ago always comes to mind.  Lol.  I think Pep should learn his lesson not to over think what the other team is thinking too much.  Pep leveled himself that night cos in hindsight it would've been better to go for the same strategy as the first leg.

I didn't watch the City match.  What happened?  Stale performance?  Tends to happen with City.  I see it ended in a draw using a strong squad.  Sometimes the stats doesn't tell what really happened in the match.  Needs an eye test but I'm too lazy to watch football replays these days.

Benzema was the most shining name by scoring 3 goals in yesterday's match. Everyone enjoyed his game, but I think there was one more star in the match, Modric. Even at 36, he scares all defenders and makes great passes. He only had 1 assist yesterday but he could have had many more assists, they missed too many goals. He amazed me with every pass he made.

I agree with you, the atmosphere of the Real Madrid vs PSG match is like a final match. It was obvious that both teams were trying to win the game,
but I admit that Real Madrid as the host played more aggressively. Especially in the second half almost all Real Madrid players played quite well
in my opinion, but unfortunately not for Marco Asensio who played below par. I agree apart from Benzema we must not forget the contribution of Modric.
Even though Luka Modric is 36 years old, his vision of playing is extraordinary. Modric overwhelmed PSG defenders with some of the breakthrough passes
often given to Real Madrid forwards. One of Benzema's goals came from Modric's assist, Real Madrid might not be able to beat PSG without Modric's presence.
Modric at 36 outclassed the whole of the PSG team in the final 20 minutes. The look of Messi's "poker face" when Luka took him out cleanly when on the counter attack. Oh the roar. Neymar was tragic, literally so sub par. Mbappes audition for real Madrid this summer has been submitted, a cheat code for a player, this young french man has the world as his oyster ahead of him.
But the champions league experience - not that PSG doesn't have that- was on display in Madrid last night, I can tell Bayern will be looking ahead with doubt in their minds on the way to the final. City I feel if stick to the game plan can dominate every other team in the league. From a united fan cries

If PSG didn't make many mistakes, they would have been in the quarter finals now. But these mistakes played a big role in this huge loss by 3-1. Real Madrid were very good at making use of the chances they found. They owe Benzema too much for this match. He was already having a great season and this was one of his best performances. Mbappe must be really sad after this result and his job is done here for sure now. PSG still can't become the champions in the Champions League although they have made important signings and strengthened their lineup a lot.

I was amazed by Mauricio Pochettino when he was in Spurs, I was in awe of his remarkable achievements. I always imagine what wonders he could achieve with better players. Now here he is with Neymar, Mbappe, Messi, Marco Verratti and he is still not able to convince the world what his level is as a football manager
Poche was not too poor in that match, he did what he is supposed to do but he did not do something extra. His only sin is that he was supposed to introduce a defender to defend the two goals. Even at that many coaches like Klopp may not consider that as a problem because he has Mbappe, Neymar and Messi that is terrorising Madrid defence.
Madrid coach was wiser to have introduced Rodrigo to join force with Vinicius and force more attacks. Was Messi as accurate as Benzema psg would have been the winners. Poche shouldn't be over blamed though

For some reason it was predictable to me that Real would beat PSG... Benzema showed who's boss on the field! Grin The French certainly have a stars team, but they lack the teamwork and experience in such competitions... No wonder Real lost away and defeated PSG at home!
During the preview, I mentioned how PSG will approach this game. I expect loads of running and physicality in the middle of the park, That midfield went to Madrid...so much was at stake. Real Madrid needed to take risks from the get go. PSG has shown to the world that football is not all about content (quality of players) but team work. PSG don't play as a team they play in an individual capacity. You need to have a history with the Champions League to win it, you can have all the money, all the talents, but if you don't work for one another on the pitch you will never lift that trophy as a team. Real Madrid's performance & mentality in the UCL is unreal.

Real Madrid are good. Pity PSG didn't make the quarter finals, but Real was better. Manchester City didn't bother against Sporting and decided not to waste any energy. So far in the Champions League everything is going without surprises. I think that the next matches may be unpredictable, in three games there was a draw and it is not known who will be stronger. So far, I have no doubts only about Chelsea.

It's a shame that PSG ended up not being able to continue to the next stage. Indeed, Madrid admits that last night's performance was very good, especially Modric and Benzema. After Ronaldo's departure, Benzema became a very reliable striker. I now believe, Money can't buy achievements, PSG is wasting their money to buy the world's Top Players but their achievements at international level are very drinking not balanced with spending in hunting for star players.

Real Madrid had their best match ever last night. It was maybe the most critical match for them so far and they made an unbelievable comeback here. It is not easy to score three consecutive goals against a team like PSG in a very crucial match like this one. But PSG's simple mistakes also helped Real Madrid do this. But I can't say that Real Madrid played badly of course. They got so many goal chances thanks to Benzema especially. And he made an unforgettable hat-trick here.

Real Madrid played a good game, both teams found many positions, but PSG was the one who made a mistake. In fact, they missed a great opportunity, if PSG had not made simple mistakes after the first goal, they could have been the happy party in this match, but they lost the match due to both the mistakes made by the goalkeeper and the pass mistakes made in the defense Smiley

This is called magic and luck both sides with Real Madrid when we thought Madrid had no hope of qualifying but the facts are different
PSG is a candidate for champion with PSG eliminated then Madrid take the opportunity I'm sure the opponents are starting to be wary of Madrid even though it wasn't a favorite before , who is Madrid's next opponent?

There has been a lot of talk about kylian mbappe. His fans have referred to him as the heir to the throne. Does he really deserve all the credits he is getting? I have always felt in the past that the talk is a little bit more than the substance itself. And last night I wasn't wrong.
Of course yes! Kylian Mbappe deserves all the appraisals his getting and even more. The truth behind the matter is, he's just one man on the pitch and can't do more than a single guy could do. Unfortunately for him, he's surrounded by all the best players that are good and providing zero team effort. Neymar jnr and Messi aren't very good players when it comes to chasing or marking players over a loosed ball. In fact, you can equate then with the referee. That alone is a minus for the PSG team and the worst part of it is, these are players that can't be scolded or benched.

I was greatly surprised at how the game yesterday turned from a Real Madrid 0:1 PSG win on a 2 goals aggregate advantage to a Real Madrid 3:1 PSG loose and a 3:2  goals aggregate I favour of Real Madrid. After Kylian Mbappe's goal, I never thought Real Madrid still had a chance but, they won this game with there experience in the league. Thanks to Karim Benzema, his the man for Spain!
Mbappe  deserves all the praises and even more. He was just one man amongst stars. I was even expecting a strong defense from PSG after the second goal from Benzema but the ended up giving benzema a hat trick. I almost wrote off Real maldrid from the Champions League following their first leg performance but ended up surprising all spectators

Apparently there was a clash between Neymar and Donnarumma in the PSG locker room after the game. Neymar heavily criticized Donnarumma for the 1st Madrid goal and I have to say I fully understand him.

I felt PSG was really good throughout the whole 1st game and the majority of the 2nd one, but they were so bad in the last 30 minutes yesterday that I have to say that Real are worthy winners.
It is always mind-boggling to see such expensive teams fall apart like this in key moments - PSG is doing this more than others though.

Even many top coaches before him could not show CL success with the conditions that PSG offers. When I see how sporting director Leonardo has reacted yesterday, then the situation in the club does not seem to be very good. This is not an ideal condition to build something. And it also confirms my theory that too many top players in a team lead to vanity. To be successful, you need unpretentious, hard-working players, not fair-weather players who are more concerned about how their hairstyle will go down with the fans than success.
