I don't see them as so favorite. I understand why Ajax is said to have some favouritism. But, in turn, Benfica has a strong midfield and is also very good in the counterattack. If they play like they did against Barcelona, Ajax will have more difficulty.

We are waiting for a very interesting pair in 1/8 I'm about PSG vs Madrid. It seems to me that this pair is still a favorite of PSG. PSG is already focused only on the Champions League and therefore the team will have more strength before this confrontation.

I can't remember anything similar with Champions league draw when they had temake it again Cheesy

. It's early to talk about games, it will be played after 2.5 months, so, many things may change until it. My thoughts about draw:
PSG - Real. It should be good. Currently Real looks as favorites there.
Inter - Liverpool. 2nd best pair. I think LFC is slightly favorites.
Atletico - MU. Both teams isn't very consistent, but I would back MU just because of Ronaldo - he likes to score against Atletico.
Benfica - Ajax. Should be very fun to watch. If Ajax will remain so hot until February, they are favorites.
Zalcburg - Bayern and Chelsea - Lille, I think everything is more than obvious there.
Villarrea - Juventus. Both teams don't look very good this season. Juve is better on paper, but I think it's not worth to understimate Villarreal.

If I were in the place of the teams that drew strong opponents, I would object to this draw as well. Joking aside, there was a big scandal today. Although they tried to make up for it, trust was damaged once. After this time, there is no confidence left in UEFA in draws. If you remember, there was a hot ball-cold ball event before. This scandal was worse than that though.

Liverpool, Manchester City, Bayern Munich, Chesley and Ajax can be congratulated on reaching the next round right now. Atletico Madrid and Villarreal have big chances. And in the PSG - Real Madrid match, both teams have equal chances. This stage in the Champions League will not be very interesting.

Unlucky draw for Inter, they get harder team after redraw. From Ajax changed to Liverpool, interesting fact is that these are the only 2 teams in the group stage with perfect points. Although Ajax is also a strong team but I think Liverpool is better than Ajax.

The second draw resulted in much better pairings than the first. In particular, there are now three top matches. PSG against Real will certainly be a cracker. But Atletico vs ManUnited and Inter Milan vs Liverpool are sure to be pretty interesting games as well.
My top favorite for the title, Bayern Munich, has probably been drawn the easiest opponent with Red Bull Salzburg.

I think this is a better draw that looks a little less engineered than the former, even if both Messi and Ronaldo will finally get to play against each other again, it shouldn't be from a UEFA draw that sends the idea that the intention to make profit is there but should happen normally. PSG vs Madrid is going to be such an encounter as well because Madrid is in form at the moment with the like of Benzema who is banging goals. As for Athletico Madrid vs Manchester United, the evener of the odds is just CR7 who can inspire the team, otherwise i feel MUFC don't stand a chance.

I don't understand the lucky level of Chelsea. They remained with their weak opponent. Let it not turn a hard luck to them o.
Benfica is advantaged, I think they can put a good fight against Ajax.
Then my Manchester United is just lucky. Atletico Madrid is a better option for us that angry PSG.
I know PSG might eventually meet thier end with Real Madrid.

All the English clubs have high chances of qualifying.

I think your opinion is wrong. in terms of football anything can happen. You said earlier that there was corruption, if there is a possibility of corruption, the committee will surely bring together in the semifinals, of course it will be more profitable for UEFA. And surely everyone who loves football will watch it live either on the field or in the media. that's in my opinion.

The Champions League draw has been declared null and will be redone at 1500 CET (3PM). There was a material error in the draw for the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 after a technical problem with the software of an external service provider that informs the officials which teams are eligible to play each other.

Sadly, it happened. The hard assumptions are gone. But, those who had questions about previous draws should expect a better outcome.

@Rruchi man I have been doubting the credibility of that draw since this afternoon. I have watched many simulations and permutations, no one ever tied Manchester United to PSG.
Uefa what to thrill people and make bad monies with Ronaldo and Messi, but they feared that of they don't do it this round 16, either of them may likely crash out.
Then, the manipulation was too obvious.
Let's watch the re-draw in few mins from now.

Some clubs will be unhappy for sure, Real already issued a complaint claiming that they want to keep their draw (of course they do, they drew Benfica) because the error happened after their draw was already made.

As a Liverpool fan I'm neutral - we'll beat anybody anyway Grin
