Finally, the matchday has come for the Champions League! I will be following the Villarreal v Manchester United match very closely tonight. Because it is one of the very critical matches for each team as the winner may guarantee their lead in the group stage. As you should have known already, Manchester United have made a change in their manager position. Carrick is the provisional manager of the team now. They are increasing their attempts for signing a manager as soon as possible. But now, I wonder what kind of a performance they will be able to show against Villarreal. If they win this match and Atalanta lose points against Young Boys, they will guarantee qualifying for the last-16 round as the leader. I'll be supporting them to win this match. But my choice of betting will be both teams to score.

after Bayern Munich's last game they only managed to score 1 goal, you get the impression that for this game they will win but won't score as many goals as usual
According to the bookies the match between Villareal and Manchester United is completely open, they even favor Manu a little as the odds for a win of Villareal are still slightly better than for a win of Manchester United. For me this still makes sense though, i mean Manchester is obviously having a very hard time at the moment and they are probably in the weakest form of the last 10 years or so but if you look at Villareal then you will notice that their shape is maybe even worse than the one from ManU, at lesat Manchester is still on positon 8 of the premier league while Villareal is only on rank 12 in the primera Division. So it will be a match of two teams without confidence.
So, crucial game for Barca against Benfica. Good odds for our win. I think that Barca is fully able to beat Benfica. Bayern shouldn't face problem against Dynamo Kyiv, but over 2.5 goals odds don't look attractive - just 1.50
I avoid betting on MU games - you don't know what to expect from team after manager change. In other game I'm goin with Atalanta win.

I think even though Manchester United lost in this match, it looks like Manchester United can still be runner up, considering the last opponent Manchester United will face is Young Boys. But yeah, it's just a point of view that might underestimate the opponent due to the fact, Manchester United are not easy to get full points here. So yes, with the sacking of Ole, I personally become more pessimistic for Manchester United because they haven't got a new coach and have only been replaced by the previous assistant coach Michael Carrick. A draw is clearly a target that looks like it is still possible for Manchester United to get, but to get full points I also doubt it because it is very likely that Villarreal will not waste this good opportunity to win at home.
I don't think Manchester United will play better without the OGS. The dismissal was logical, because there is nowhere to pull further. But Carrick is just an assistant to the OGS and you shouldn't expect anything new from the team. Until there is a new coach, I think that Ronaldo will play the main role of the leader in the team, as strange as it may sound. It's difficult for me to predict the result of the match, but I think that the players will try to continue fighting in the Champions League.

I also think that Villarreal will win today in their home condition, otherwise it could be a draw. It's a tricky group definitely! I think we will see Manchester and Atalanta going to the next stage! I believe in x2 on Manchester and Atalanta to win! Simply Manchester is slightly better and they have an easier opponent for the last game at home, while Villareal will face Atalanta, and that will be a hard game for them! Atalanta is playing a very important game tonight, I think that Atalanta has a much better team and in my opinion, they should win this game. Also, Atalanta is in good shape, better than Young Boys who can't win anything in the last 4 games!
Last chance for Sevilla today - they need a win against Wolfsburg to keep their hopes of progress alive. I think nobody expected them to struggle in such an easy group. Still, they will probably win today and have their chance in the last game against Salzburg.

No Carrick ain't changing nothing. Ole said he didn't run training, which means Carrick did. Villa Real have 3 wins domestically this season. Utd should get the job done away from Old Trafford. If they lose tonight, the broad will be panic to get Pochettino right away, so he can manage the important game against Young boys

For tomorrow's Champions League match, there are 2 matches that I'm interested in watching and they are:
- Chelsea vs Juventus
- Barcelona vs Benfica
Chelsea - Juve game is kinda pointless because both teams already guaranteed to advance to next round. There will be better options to watch tomorrow. I would rather watch Barca - Benfica game. Portuguese football is faster, we all know how Barca play and that would be more enjoyable game to watch. For earlier games I'd pick Bayern match although it would be exciting to see ManU struggling against Villarreal without their manager.

MU will be in trouble when lost tonight if in the other place Atalanta got a win also. their fate will be decided on the next game vs young boy which is possible need hard work with a new formation that is not solid yet. Villareal will revenge at home, furthermore, they aren't good also on La Liga after getting a tie versus Celta, this means both have the same strength. If the new strategy can be applied and suitable that possible MU will be got 3 points tonight.
Many people underestimate the strength of Ajax. I would not be surprised if they can get get it into the final, depending of the drawings of course.
Ajax has been amazing in the in their league this season,no doubt,they also done very well even in the champions league,but getting to the final might not just be easy for them,because we have teams that more inform than them.Teams that are very ready for the Champions league trophy.Bayern are one of my favourite contenders to this tittle,they have almost everything a team can ever have,the front,the backline and the midfield are all intact,packed with experience.To me,I think they can get to the final.

^ I wouldn’t be so quick to discount Man United when it comes to midweek CL football. They seem to win it with Ronaldo usually getting the last goal in. Lolol. How many times have we heard that ‘Ooops I did it again’ song played in the background during Ronaldo’s post match interview?

How could they think that Messi was the problem, when Messi even said that he will play for half of his wage just to play for Barcelona. I think the board has become delusional and cannot take any decision with A straight mind.
Instead of accepting the blame for their mistakes they are looking for a scapegoat, the problem is that it does not make sense at all to blame Messi, he was one of the main reasons Barcelona has been as successful as it was, he brought a lot of revenue to the club by selling their merchandise, brought a huge number of fans which increased the revenue they got from TV rights and he did not managed the money of the club, besides by creating this kind of fight between the club and Messi they are forcing the fans to pick a side, and most of the time the fans will side with the player that has brought them so much joy over the years. I agree. Yes Ajax has a pretty strong team and did very well in their group so far but you also have to look at the other teams of this group. Sporting and Besiktas are only tier 3 teams in Europe at the moment in my opinion. Dortmund is a tier 2 team (just as Ajax)

If a draw with Villareal is enough then I'm pretty sure the last match with Young boys should be won.
Carrick already said they plan to win it but this is the result I'm expecting for this match. I'm not sure how he will approach the game but missing out on key players like Pogba and Varane is a huge blow. Manchester City - PSG is the game that I have been waiting for the most. It is a critical game regarding taking the lead in the group A. Manchester City have a good advantage here as they are going to play in Etihad Stadium. And they are the leader of the group now by only one point. If Manchester City win this game, they will guarantee their lead before even playing the last group game. But we should also keep in mind that PSG defeated City by 2-0 in Parc des Princes. So they won't give up on this game also undoubtedly. City need to attack with all they've got to win. This time both teams should be able to score.
I say it is revenge time, City is getting better and better and I am not so sure about PSG since I don't watch French league but from the reports they are not very convincing. I don't think there is a club with longer bench then City (maybe Chelsea) at the moment which will come very handy in this busy schedule.United game is though to bet on since we don't know if the players wanted to get rid of Ole, could be much better performance from them now. Both to score looks like best option for me since you can't start playing defense immediately, that takes time to click into place.
