With the arrival of a new coach (temporary coach) I hope that Barcelona still has a chance at least to qualify for the next round. Currently they have only 3 point in 3 match so they need a win to qualify. If Barcelona win 2/3 next match then they will go through I think. The most difficult match is when Barcelona go to Bayern Munchen because I think Barcelona will lose there. But first I want to see them win at Dynamo Kyiv.

If Barca wins the games against Lisbon and Kiev, then they will definitely be in the next round, since it is unlikely that Lisbon will win against Bayern. Only if Lisbon wins against Bayern and Barca loses against Bayern, then Barca would be eliminated (if Lisbon then gets at least four points against Barca and Kiev). The only question is whether the new interim coach can turn the tide so quickly or whether the problems are not deeper and need more time to fix them.

Well it is at least a home game for Barcelona, but don't forget that they still have to win against Kiev in an away game. That is not guaranteed in my eyes, by no means and even Kiev has a chance to at least make it to the European League. If they manage to beat Barcelona they can still make it to final CL round in the last game against Lisbon.

Even if they qualify I hardly believe that they will win any match. But before that, they have to win against both Real and Milan which seems like an impossible task for them. And I agree with you, Real at the beginning of the CL and the Real now are different. They have found their scoring boots and are in good form.
sheriff have bigger chance pass on qualify to the next stage with collected six points after success winning two match and loss one match from Inter Milan, I think if keep consistent collected points on every match become runner up as best chance for sheriff right now, but depend how result get when faced with Real Madrid because this group have many team still get chance qualify to the next stage, Real Madrid have six points and Inter Milan have four points and I think Inter Milan will easy get three points from Shakhtar Donesk.
[/quote]
besides that they also have to be able to get full points again when dealing with shakhthr. this would be great because if they win against shakhtar they just need to maximize the draw between games against madrid and inter this will be in their favour.
but it seems that inter and real madrid are getting hot with the results and the current standings, especially for madrid of course they don't want to slack off against the sheriff

Regardless of Messi’s departure I think Barcelona still have very good players and a strong team.
Obviously, the main problem is the relationship between the coach and the players, and that will now finally change with a new coach.
Barcelona is not really much far behind the leading club in the Spanish championship, and in the Champions League group it has a good chance of passing the group.
I believe that the new coach will bring new energy and inspiration and that the players will focus more on their game and less on the rumors about the club, and that the club will finally start to achieve results in accordance with its reputation.

I don't see the chances for barcelona so slim in that match against Bayern Munich. If anything goes the way as it is looking now Bayern should be already qualified for the the next stage of the tournament once they have to play against Barcelona and i can imagine that Bayern will not play with their best squad then and will try to give some players a chance that are usually not playing so much. If this happens then the chances of a win of Barca are definitely increasing. Barcelona would really need to go through into the next round as it would mean a few million € more for them and they really need that money to pay back their debts.
Barcelona is now worst to the extent that winning a match looks and seems too difficult for them. They have been strougling recently, and things have not really gone on well. But what really amaze me is that there are players that are very good and talented still I that club,it was only Messi that was a very big name that left, but right now,it looks as if it was all the first team players that left.

In my opinion if the sheriff prefers to play it safe by defending against madrid it is certainly very dangerous for the sheriff, because madrid now is not the madrid they faced at the beginning of the champions league, madrid now have recovered and their attack line is now sharp enough to score against the opponent, so if the sheriffs play safe to get a draw, of course, it is possible that they will lose the match, in my opinion the sheriff journey to penetrate the next round is not an easy thing and they are also very prone to being eliminated later.
Sheriff done good job in early matches now time for staying in Europa League because Inter already done good at home in away match they are not going to be easy, but they will crush them and having their spot for next round for Real Madrid they are also doing much better because now they also feel it is time for better results, so they will also go for win and if Sheriff done any mistake like defense game then surely it is going to hurt them more badly.
Sheriff the best chance is having good against Shakhtar which is also not easy but after having early 6 points going to help them for staying in touch with Europa League.
In any case, the technical drawing of the Sheriff's game is unlikely to undergo drastic changes. This is still a patient game in defense and looking for your chances at other gates in counterattacks. Previous matches have already shown that it works at times and it can also work now. In all his previous group stage matches, Sheriff was not the favorite, but still scored his six points. Therefore, in any case, the Sheriff has chances both to continue the fight in the Champions League and to move to the Europa League. There should be more chances in the match with Inter because the game will take place on the Sheriff's home field and it is still unknown how everything will turn out. Although, of course, on paper Inter has a better chance of winning, but everything is decided on the football field, not on paper.

This is a tough task now, winning 2 out of three is very risky....the team has to gel with the coaches tactics.
Beating Bayern Munich and Benfica will be very hard one to do.
But they have three points at the moment right ?
The ye just has to adapt to the recent style of play.

We will know a lot about the group stage here.

Milan needs to win or they are out.

-snip-
Such a huge stake at the end of the group stage for ac milan, its matchday 4 though and they are hopeless with zero point out of 3 matches which yeah im pessimistic about how ac milan could get through this group of death ...
but i might go for ac milan to win against fc porto with 1 goal gap at best or get draw and go home.

moreover they are going to face as roma away from home this weekend, sunday night. what a freakin fixtures ahead.

Yes, Sherif beat Real Madrid in their home against their full-powered squad which is a huge deal but I don't think they will be able to do it twice in a row cause you said "miracles don't happen every day". This time Real will be prepared for them and the same goes in the case of Milan. But I have to appreciate that they are playing very well lately.
yes.. this is the match point of my discussion
miracles happen, but when the big ones see that you have played well, take precautions and start to fear yourself by playing more focused
I'm not saying it won't happen again, but it will be more difficult
'More difficult' should be the phrase used sheriff took advantage of a little lapses in Real Maldrids defense. And if sheriff plays against Maldrid again they might just play defensive midfield with no intention to win again

Personally I do not mind teams that were supposed to get eliminated early moving to the later rounds as this makes the tournament more exciting by adding an element of unpredictability to it.

If this team has the resource to continue its performance at a decent level, then I am also happy with such events. But in fact, this is a very rare occurrence and I will be very disappointed (after enduring the tedious group stage) if I see a Sheriff - City match instead of Real - City  Wink

There are some news about Erling Haaland's injury like he can be out until the first month of 2022. This is really a big loss for Dortmund. As Dortmund are going to play against Ajax in one week again, they would like to take revenge on them. Because they got a really huge 4-0 defeat. But without Haaland, their job will not be easy here. But still, I expect them to score this time. I don't think that Dortmund will lose this one.
Dortmund can still win this one despite the fact that Haaland is injured and he is going to be out for some week.Itt is heard it might be till new year.
This is really going to be a problem to Dortmund,it can even make them loose for Ajax.
Nevertheless,Dortmund had proved to play very well this season even when Haaland was absent,so we can see that Dortmund is in a good shape to win that match than Ajax.
They have already played quite a few matches without Haaland and did somewhat good enough results. But not having him till January 2022 is very unfortunate news for them. And about the Ajax match, I'm hopeful that they will be able to win that one as they have scored goals lately. As I thought that they might struggle in the scoring department without Haaland but that is not the case for them. I hope Haaland can return as soon as possible on the pitch again.
Yes, but it would be much better if Haaland played but that is not possible because he has a very serious injury which is a muscle injury in his hip flexors and it will take a long time to recover.
and it looks like in the next match Dortmund will focus on attacking because a 4-0 defeat will make Dortmund want to take revenge on Ajax for the big goalless defeat that Dortmund must avenge.
Without Haaland, Dortmund are able to score, they can win, but I don't think they will be able to win 4-0 against a strong team like Ajax. If Haaland were in the team, maybe Dortmund could have scored 4 goals. But at the moment without Haaland, I don't think he can win 4-0. My guess is that Dortmund will win 2-1 or 3-2. However, winning the match against Ajax will not be easy. And of course you have to play attacking in this match. It will be difficult to win if you play defensively against a strong team like Ajax.

You are right. While Dortmund are a good team without Haaland, it will not be easy to score 4 goals against an experienced team like Ajax. Don't think that Ajax is a weak team. They are strong as well as experienced. Ajax has scored 37 goals in 10 games in the Eredivisie League. They can score a lot of goals, but I was surprised to see that they conceded only 2 goals. It is easy to understand that Ajax's defense is very strong. They have scored 11 goals and conceded just one in the Champions League. Dortmund will be able to score 4 goals against such a team, but without Haaland, I don't think so.
Dortmund will go into the season without Haaland who is confirmed to be seriously injured and the initial prediction is that he will be out for more than 12 weeks, a big loss for Dortmund as Haaland is the most prolific player in scoring goals either in the Champions League or in the Bundesliga, at least in the January transfer window. Dortmund must find a new striker to fill the position left by Haaland. It is proven that without Haaland Dortmund having to admit the superiority of Ajax Amterdam with a large enough score and the first 4-0 defeat, next week will prove to Dortmund whether they are able to steal points from Ajax or will they be humiliated again?
