I think both teams already have the same chances of winning, in the case of Shakhtar they have a great drought of victories in the Champions League. Some statistics and predictions are interesting.

The sheriff is one team that always has a surprise in every game.
although inter is a strong team and in terms of quality of players these two teams have much different teams and depth of players but on the pitch what matters is the mentality and cooperation of 11 people.

Real Madrid and Inter Milan are favorites to qualify for the knockout rounds and I do not think there will be any surprises. I think Inter Milan and Real Madrid have 1 of the easiest groups in the competition and it will be a big missed opportunity if either of them do not qualify. Shakhtar used to be a very good team and someone who I did not like to play against in Europe but they have declined recently and I do not see them beating Milan or drawing. I think Milan will win by at least 2 goals but I think it could easily be a dominating win of 3 or more goals by Milan.

I think Manchester City will win this easily. I think neymar and Mbappe do not work well together and without Messi they will lack that edge to beat a strong side like Manchester City. I will be putting a bet on for a 3-1 victory for Manchester City. I think Grealish will score and Mbappe will get the goal for PSG.

Atletico Madrid are more difficult to lose in the UCL tournament especially now that they have a strong striker after Grizmann is back in the old squad so they can definitely win games this week and get points.
I believe Diego Simeone can beat AC Milan in the preliminary round.

Why is there Thursday matches in Champions League? Did I miss something? It used to be Tuesday and Wednesday only, we watch Europa League in Thursday. Is it designed specifically for this week?
There are great games this week, I'll watch Ajax and Beşiktaş match Tuesday, PSG and City Wednesday, Juve and Chelsea Thursday. Maybe 3 days for Champions League is better for TV coverage. But the problem is there is no room for Europa League and Conference League then.
