So are you ready for the last Champions League?

Any official news regarding this from UEFA?

I'm a little skeptical about this, as several clubs have declared their exit from ESL due to suspension. But it seems this news states that UEFA lost and can no longer take action. Did I misunderstand?

Why do you think this Champions League is the last one? I hate this football bureaucratic mafia and would be glad if it were, but as I understand it, this is one of many lawsuits and in fact there will be many more lawsuits ahead. Hopefully in the near future we will see some more significant news regarding the Super League.

You bet!  Smiley
That's a pity though, I can safely admit that Borac Cluj was the game I was more safe about betting. I mean Cluj was way better than the anonymous Borac Banja Luka!
4 out of 5 is not bad at all but it's never enough to take deserved profits home. I'll try again.

But where does that lives us if almost all the co-founding clubs already changed their decisions and withdrew their alleged involvement with ESL, Iirc there was also a lot of backlash from each team fans as well. I don't think there's anyway the breakout ESL would exist, at least for the next few years (4 minimum) that's if it's even going to happen at all.

UEFA can't do anything officially but under the table it could and it will not forget this easily. Those (remaining) teams will get severe sanctions for any stupid mistake and UEFA will try to figure out a way to tackle this project.

@coinlocket$ once again the power of Real Madrid is proven and though they can’t run the league without the other top teams, I wonder if they’ll look at alternative teams?. Furthermore this is a huge blow to UEFA because now this league can resume at a later stage, and the only thorn is the fans how to get them onboard for this, and if the clubs can figure this then this league will be live in coming year’s.

CL comes back! Seven days ago, the first leg of the first round of the Champions' preliminaries was played. In the return leg, we will see the first effects of the new rule, introduced last May, that no longer takes into account goals scored away from home: in case of a tie, the match will go to extra time and then possibly to penalties. I did some research and will share my next betslip:
Borac Banja Luka-Cluj
Hibernians-Flora Tallinn
Prishtina-Ferencvaros
Valur Reykjavik-Dinamo Zagreb
Buducnost Podgorica-HJK

It will be interesting to compare the average performance at the end of the season with the average performance of the previous season. I think that canceling the advantage with more away goals is a good move, but it is unlikely that it will significantly change the performance since the general strategy never changes - the main thing is not to concede a goal and, if possible, score.

Now that at least is easy to find for Champions League. You have a message on telegram since I am not sure if it is cool to share it here Smiley

Betting wise, I have no clue what to do in these early rounds. Just took that Sportsbet special for goals in second half.

Thank you as usual, and good to take precautions anyway;)

Took 2 specials myself, dead on the first very early and then dead on the remainder after only 5 games hahaha. But also got a few of the other games acca'd into some other super early bets on Gold Cup, MLS and Chinese League. I have a really really bad habit of mixing UEFA club matches with other leagues.

I haven't won a football bet since QFs of EURO... that's a long time ago. Thanks for tennis seriously.

I recognize most of the teams, betting-wise it's a guessing game though. Better to skip a few of these early rounds, these low-tier teams can vary by a huge amount from season to season.

Much the same for me, and the odds don't look particularly exciting for the close ones. I actually don't mind taking on bets when the underdog is actually quite high up their own league table, but I see some severe mismatches, so no go for me. But I do love those 10+ to 1 odds, these nights are fun!

Now the other fun part will be to look for the streams...

Go Hibs! Still 0-0!

Valur look nice at a 9/1 boost? Iceland power gone after WC huh?

Great odds for Zalgiris to win at around 2.20, Linfield are a bunch of amateurs that like to play attacking football, which of course is a recipe for disaster, Zalgiris could have scored at least 5 in the first match, can't see anything other than an away win.

Shakhtyor Soligorsk will play their home game on a neutral location (Serbia), Ludogorets hit the post like three times and missed on few good chances before taking the lead in injury time. It will be a huge surprise if the Belarusians win today, Ludogorets could be extremely dangerous on counter- attacks, and there will be plenty of opportunities since Shakhtyor has to open up and look to score.
Odds for Zalgiris is good, but they already have quite safe 3:1 win (especially considered that away goal rule is removed), so, win tonight isn't must have thing for them. I think I'' skip this game.
Agree about Ludogorets. They are better team on paper and after 1st leg, score is just 1:0, so it's tricky and Ludogorets will need to win. Odds for their win looks nice.
Personally, I see big value in Flora win. Situation is same like in Zalgiris - Linfield game, but Hibernians have shown nothing in first game and I don't see them capable to offer something tonight.
There is some pairs with obvious favorites like Ferencvaros, Malmo or Cluj, but odds in all games is just about 1.40, so, not much value there. I'l go with over 2.5 in Ferencvaros and Cluj games.

I got a few winners last week, looking to double down in the reverse fixtures today and tomorrow. Some awfully good spots in those early rounds as always!

Hiberninas Clean Sheet No; Lincoln Red Imps Clean Sheet No; Malmo to win @1.99

Watched some of the matches (or should i say highlights) from last week, some notes i'd like to share, i'll probably take more bets but have to check the starting lineups first:

Sheriff Tiraspol AH -1.5 has good odds, the Moldavians won the away fixture easily (0-4), they have the better squad, a lot of Brazilians, Columbians, overall good mixture of international players, whereas the Albanians play local boys, and if there are no major changes in the lineups, Sheriff should get another comfortable win. ✖

On your second match I would rather for a win of Hibernians because they played a good last season in the Scottish Premier League.

Hibernians from Malta.  Grin

Always hard to bet on prelims because you never know where a team stands. So basically everything is possible and the makes betting hard on prelims. However, I would follow your bets on a win of Cluj, Ferencvaros, Dinamo Zagreb and HJK. On your second match I would rather for a win of Hibernians because they played a good last season in the Scottish Premier League.

Sound like a good choice. The problem is we have always seen surprises during the preliminary stages as we don't know thoroughly each team,we know who is stronger by the name of the team but we don't really know their players.Sheriff Tiraspol has always been a good team which has about 1 mln Euro budget which is a big one for teams at this level and in fact they crashed their opponent in the first leg by winning 0-4 away.So surprises happen but I would also bet a parlay with three teams in Champions as this has always been the case with me since a lot of time,2001 or something like that was the beginning.

Tallinn and HJK @around 2
Ferencvaros and Cluj @around 1.5
Zagreb @around 1.3 = not interesting but BTTS around 2 isn't bad imo considering the 3-2 in the first leg?
I am not very familiar with this stage so I will think about it, thanks for sharing Smiley

@cryptofrka you seem to watch football a lot, because baring few teams I barely know the rest and hence I’m adopting a cautious approach for the qualifying rounds. Also I too believe that Dinamo shall win their match, and I expect couple of goals from them.

I used to bet a lot and I play a lot of football games, I wasted my entire childhood on Football Manager games Grin
Also, I am from Croatia, our teams are mostly shit so when they get to Europe they play against all kind of weak opponents from all over Europe.

__________________________

Regarding Dinamo yesterday, if I wasn't following them for a while, I'd be amazed by yesterday's result. Because I am following them, it seemed perfectly normal to miss a penalty and then concede 2 goals in 2 minutes. Happens every time.

I forgot to post my bets tonight, but same like yesterday, I won 3 of 4 my bets. Only Malmo disappointed - I had over 2.5 goals on this game.

3/4 not bad, congrats!

I'm hella pissed at Malmo, they ruined two tickets of mine, i had them live bet at the half (red card for Riga) to score O1.5 but they couldn't at 22 to 1 goal attempts at the end, this should have been 3 or 4 to nil. The Swedes and Maccabi Haifa screwed my hail mary parlay with almost 100/1 payout, this one was so close, as you can see from the screenshot. My only win x2 btts at around 5 total odds...it could have been better.

The story of the night was Dinamo Zagreb conceding two late goals from Valur (88' and 89' minute), AH -1.5 /-2.5 bettors on suicide watch.  Grin

Tomorrow I will post my bets in Europa Conference league thread. 30 game will be played, so, even more options to bet. Though, most of teams are known even less and there is some names which I see first time.
In this first qualifying round, I barely recognise a team apart from Dinamo Zagreb at the opposite of the second qualifying round.
Dinamo Zagreb probably is most famous team starting tournament so early. But there is some more teams which are known more or less, because they play almost every season in group stage of Champions league - Malmo, Cluj, Ferencvaros, Legia or Ludogorets.
