Not just the team but the couch as well. Thomas Tuchel might not be an EPL couch but, his an experienced UCL couch with PSG. Maybe he didn't take the UCL with Real Madrid and Bayern dominating the league few seasons back but, his got some tricks to aid him stay in until the league is almost at a close.He and Chelsea did themselves a miraculous win yesterday. I was amazed Chelsea actually won Atletico Madrid at home in all there fitness with what we've witnessed from them in the Laliga this season. Haven't lost just 2 and drawn 2 games through all the game played so far. Chelsea winning yesterday did them solid in avoiding being knocked out. Thomas Tuchel is slowly getting in his team quite well, good game.
Atlanta vs Real Madrid fixture is going to be a tough one. I'm expecting a lot of goals in this one. Can't say who wins but i hope Madrid wins.

That's an interesting fact but lets not call it a day yet as they still have second leg and there is very little chances for those LaLiga teams in second leg but they have plenty of good players to turnaround. Does anyone recall the Barca turnaround against PSG in CL (16-17) round of 16? They don't have the players like they had then but I think they have the ability to change it but it will take a lot of effort. As for Sevilla and Atletico its not that hard for them as it is Barca so they also have a good chance.
I won't talk about Spanish teams and finances but if you look at both big teams of LaLiga - Barca and Real Madrid , you will find they have struggled in LaLiga as well. It's all about management and play level of the teams that has dropped. You can take a bit of finance as a factor too but there are other factors as well - hence all inter-related.

I was expecting that lazio vs bayern would be a much more closer match but lazio didn't really have a chance. The first goal was basically a own goal from lazio and from then on everything went in the direction of bayern munich.
The 3-0 was also initiated by a huge mistake of a lazio player and the 4-0 finally was a real own goal. So nothing really worked out for lazio during this match and bayern should be through to the next round.

It is very interesting, I agree. I can't say that I'm very surprised about Barcelona's loss. I was expecting them to get a draw at least. But they were not giving good signals already and PSG demolished them with a nice play. But Sevilla and especially Atletico really shocked me with the results they got. Atletico didn't even really fight for the win. By the way, you are right. Barcelona are the richest and Real Madrid are the 2nd in the list. Anyway, I think it won't be the same for Real Madrid tonight and they will draw with Atalanta at least.

For me, i do not think Mochengladbach would have it difficult in tonights tie because they do not stand a chance to compete at all; Manchester city side is in flyng form and i expect nothing less than a 3 0 victory aaway in germany from pep side.

.The team is much more stable in the defence and the offensive is more effective. That doesn't mean that they will move on to the next round. The second leg will not be easy. But they scored an away goal so they can play for a draw now. All cards are with Chelsea.
I would say that Chelsea under Tuchel seems much more organized and bit sharp as compared to the team under Lampard. Defense has gone serious and attacking is also going on decent. Still with the depth like Chelsea has right now they should be scoring more goals - I am not saying from CL point of view but also PL and other leagues. You never know when the lead might get overturned. There are lot of concerns inside Chelsea still but it is showing signs of slow improvement.

They and City have been the favourites since Day 1 outrights actually, so no surprise there. And they still are the favourites according to the bookies right now. I dutifully put my bets in before group stages on Liverpool (7/1).
Last week, City were 25/1 to win the quadruple though, a special I missed out on. Don't think they'll win CL but that's better value than an outright standalone I feel.

very consistent. Meanwhile, Moenchengladbach has had a very poor performance in the Bundesliga, from the last 5 matches, they were only
able to win one. Then if you look at the head to head of the two teams in the Champions League, it's clear that Manchester City is better.
