Can Manchester City go all the way?
With the kind of quality and squad depth that they have, I'm expecting nothing less.
- It'll be them or Bayern.

Barcelona, despite not the best form at the end of the season, should beat the team from Naples today.
Regardless of Napoli's mixed form towards the end of their league, I'm expecting them to get a surprising win against Barca...
- Both teams to score.

I guess Cristiano Ronaldo have already tried his best for trying to help his team progress to the next stage of the Uefa Champions League, but the defense of Lyon are just too good in shutting down the attack of Juventus, the goalkeeper of Lyon did not even need to make many crucial saves in the match, it shows the defenders of Lyon did really put in their best effort at the back line. I believe the remaining teams competing in the Uefa Champions League this season would surely thank Lyon for eliminating Juventus.

Juventus were not lucky enough to scale, they need a good coach, now that Sarri has been sacked a good coach should be hired,, more younger players are needed, they have been knocked out by small teams with young players, those old men need to be played as substitute
Just like it was announced, Sarri is gone after Juventus dropped out Champions League Smiley
Ciao Sarri  Grin

Today champions league matches and my predictions:
Barcelona vs. Napoli
Napoli should be very happy with results so far, and they even managed to get 1:1 draw with Barcelona in first leg, but now they must play in Camp Nou.
Goof thing for them is that they have full squad, unlike Barcelona with six injured or suspended players.
Same thing for coach Quique Setien as for Sarri and Juventus, and Barcelona must win or progress here or he is out.
Only Champions League win can save Setien  Grin
Risky bet: Messi to score
I am picking Home win here

Bayern Munich vs. Chelsea
First leg was easy 3:0 win for Bayern, and Chelsea is coming here with 8 or 9 injured players!
They must try to attack but I don't believe they can score 4 or more goals.
I expect Bayern to start slow and wait for Chelsea youngsters mistakes.
Risky bet: half time draw, full time home win.
My pick here is one more Home win.

Bayern are so sure of their victory tonight that they are playing with numbers on the club's official Twitter profile and thinking about how many goal differences they will win tonight.
Source: https://twitter.com/FCBayernEN/status/1292044664128843776

It's true that they have a very big advantage, but bigger miracles have happened in football before.
It would be better for them to focus more on the opponent and show more respect.

Today I'm betting on two home team wins. Barcelona, despite not the best form at the end of the season, should beat the team from Naples today. After losing the championship badly, the Champions League is the only way to save the season for Barcelona. Napoli also showed an average form at the end of the Serie A season. In the second match, I bet the Bavarians will win. At Chelsea, many players are on the injured list. In addition, the result of 3-0 in the first match probably dispels the dreams of the London team to advance to the next phase of the tournament.

The video assistant referee decision in last night game between juventus vs Lyon was a flat mess, I heard the commentator on the commentary of the match say that the VAR would check the first penalty decision and call it of but we where shocked that it stood and the second penalty this time for juventus -i don't know if it was some sort of amendment- the Lyon player could not make him self invisible and had his hands on his body, I think VAR should sit up

I think these odds for Bayern are extremely poor considering a) Bayern doesn't need to win and b) they are out of competition for over a month now. You could see in EL with Leverkusen/Frankfurt/Wolfsburg that these teams were not super sharp and even ran a bit out of gas in the end. Now Chelsea isn't super strong, but Bayern could live with a draw here in which is most likely a better friendly match at hot temperatures even in the evening. 1.80-ish for Bayern would be more reasonable imo.

Agreed. I only kept them in because it was boosted odds on my parlay (it's a Sportsbet special), so I'm looking good on it right now. Bayern not needing to win, I'm not so concerned. They'll want to boost all kinds of morale with a strong victory, but they for sure won't risk injury or yellows to their strongest, and Chelsea while I agree are more match fit no longer have Pulisic (injury) and will still be tired, again, a draw is still the best option being objective but I still think quality will shine through, even if just barely.

@toma thanks! I doubled down on Barca on another parlay and lost already but I put down another big single haha, so yes, definitely good luck to me and you;)

Can Manchester City go all the way?
maybe? last night was the RO16 with the agg score in favor, but now's when the real thing starts, in the quarters and beyond with one-leg matches...also, let's not forget that City are big chokers in the later stages of this tourney (2015, choke in the semis, 2017 choke vs. monaco, 2018 choke vs. Pool, and last year choked in the quarter finals vs. Spurs)

Have an all-favs parlay still alive. Much of the same tonight?
Bayern have the edge if the play their best team, if not then prepare for an upset unfortunately (didn't add this match to my ticket). Napoli are gonna put up a good fight vs. one man team Barca, could see this game ending with a draw in FT or ET (1-1 or 2-2)

Still, best of luck today!

Juve is out, but Ronaldo showed once again what kind of player he is. Here are few numbers to put it in perspective. He scored more goals in knockout stage then some very respective clubs.

Goals in Champions League Knockout stage:
Ronaldo - 67
Milan - 65
Arsenal - 53
PSG -41
Dortmund - 40

If we are watching just players who scored goals in CL knockout stage he is by far first on the list and he has the same amount of goals as next two players combined
Ronaldo - 67
Messi - 46
Muller - 21

He also scored all Juventus goals in knockout stage in the last two years, all 7 goals (100%)

Bet on Real Madrid and hope to win. And finally I lost again. Today I was back betting on Bayer Munich, even though Chelsea are in good form. I hope today's match will make me win in betting. And for Barcelona - Napoli, it looks like it's an even more difficult match. because both of them will fight together and for defense, Napoli is definitely superior.

Well, I was in your team Cheesy I bet on double chance Real with really fair odds. By halftime, it looked like the bet will work out. That Real is going to make such two defensive booboos was not to expected and is rare. This destroyed the bet. Today I make a similar bet as written a few posts before. Double chance Napoli, also with fair odds. Let's see if it works this time.

They better rebuild his ineffective defence strategy and stop receiving goals in every game seriously...

8 hours to go for the games and to know who will pass between Barca and Napoli!
Without Chiellini, Bonucci can not play at his highest level and he can not play as the heart of Juventus' defense system. Chiellini on the other hands, has been older each season and next one I don't think Juventus can rely on him too much.

Juventus is right to finish an expensive transfer for De Ligt from Ajax but the failure of Bonucci hurts them in important match. They have good midfielders and forwards, strikers but need to rebuild its defense system, make it younger and stronger.

Agnelli spoke yesterday and he said, "we will take some days, we will talk if we will continue in this direction" and other stuff.

He said as CR7 will stay, Paratici and Nedved will stay, nothing on Sarri so he is on the list of possible people in the firing list.

He also said he wants younger people in the team.

It wasn't to be at all, was it now? I actually ended up not watching the games, had some infernal thing to deal with, so I was updated the scores. Lyon actually held on, wonderful for the underdog, that precious away goal from Depay wow.

Reading the headlines, seems City is no longer "overawed" by Champs League but I have to say, this wasn't a vintage team put out there either, judging from the starting lineup.

Have an all-favs parlay still alive. Much of the same tonight?

Real were embarrassing, was Varane high? Never seen him play so badly, he gifted City both goals. I guess it shows how important Ramos is, they literally fell apart at the back without him. City have effectively got a pass into the semi finals now. Lyon finished 7th in France, I know they have some talent but they’re not great.

Bayern is rocking in Bundesliga and with 3-0 advantage, it relatively easy for them to pass to the next round but also to win tomorrow's match.
For Barcelona, I am a bit worried. They have the motivation to achieve something this season but their performance isn't good...at all... They have only the 1 goal advantage and maybe, maybe if Messi will be in very very good condition he can do something. That's all.

Not to mention Bayern won 3-0 away. Chelsea needs a miracle to get to the next round. Bayern is too stable, and too good to give Chelsea a chance, however the Londoneers can win the game. They've been in good form the last few weeks.
With Barcelona against Napoli I see the result open. Napoli played another very good season, while Barcelona disappointed. The first leg gives both teams the chance to get to the next round. I bet on draw or win of Napoli (odds 2.23 at the moment).

Can we all agree that Varrane is a player that should be in LaLiga 2 or 3 ? Because this player never had any real value and is just a bet of Zidane because he is a french player. I understand that you're at Real and you cannot substitute a player when he makes mistakes but lets be honest , this player costs Real Madrid game tonight and I hope he will never ever be used at my favorite team.

Juventus is only build on Ronaldo right now and I think he will leave this summer for a surprise ( maybe a United comeback ). Also why did Dybala play ? He barely stood on his feet...

I understand you're mad at him but it's sport and mistakes happen.
He is a very good player otherwise he wouldn’t be at Real.
Football also makes mistakes and this time Manchester City was better.
Next time Real will be better.

Unexpectedly Juventus is disqualified and Lyon passes to the next stage.
The French team played very well and the early goal was a savior for them...
Depay needs to move to a bigger club.
