Juventus is on 30%, Lyon on 70%, but would skip to play both, just goals in Turin, under2.5

I already posted that people are completely ignoring Lyon, but this is also taking it a bit too far if you ask me. Lyon has a decent squad and a really good result but Juventus is one of the top remaining teams in the draw.
I'd say it's more a 60-40 for Juventus, which is great for Lyon. Juventus is definitely capable of defending an 1-0 lead and has more quality, depth and experience to kill the game once they get the first goal - be it in regular time or in OT.

I am a fan of Real Madrid since 1998. I will be glad if Real Madrid wins and goes to the quarter finals. But the score of the first match does not allow us to believe in a favorable outcome of the confrontation.

Madrid should still have a chance to win in the 2nd leg. Indeed, 2 goals without conceding is not an easy for players while man city play in their home. However, motivation after they win La Liga will keep players in good confidence. This is what I think will make Madrid can scored 2 goals in the match. Some people thinking about miracle or if they still have ronaldo can win this match, but without Ronaldo, they are still have lot of good quality players and its enough to beat City.

I am a fan of Real Madrid since 1998.

so, since Mijatovic scored in Champions league final, against Juventus

IMO, Real Madrid has a tough one to make, but i would give them more chance to find themselves in QF, then Juventus in a match with Lyon, i do not see why everyone thinks that Juventus will have an easy one, Lyon has a really good result from the first match, and play defensive football, while Juventus did not finished league in a good manner, and their form is also questionable at the moment

Real Madrid chances are FmPoV 60%, City on 40%
Juventus is on 30%, Lyon on 70%, but would skip to play both, just goals in Turin, under2.5

I think here is a good option to bet on all the teams that will qualify and the total odd should relatively good.I think many here will agree with me that the teams who will qualify are easily identifiable and they are,Juventus,Barcelona and Bayern Munchen.I would not risk to include neither Manchester City neither Real Madrid as it is a really difficult game to predict.
Prediction would be similar to mine, Bayern Munich seems obviously in, but Barcelona fans would have a story to tell about them being confident. Barcelona themselves should qualify by beating Napoli, but Real Madrid and Manchester city is an exciting match, I predict Real Madrid to win the match at the Etihad stadium, but am still thinking if they can be good enough to qualify.
if Real Madrid scores quickly and does not concede, then there is a chance. But Manchester City will also try to score at least one goal. Just winning will not be enough.

@kassex i strongly feel that Real Madrid will win this match because post the covid break they came out firing on all cylinders, and stormed their way to win the la Liga. However I do understand why everyone here favours Manchester City, but considering Zidane record in the past I’m thinking of wagering a small bet on RM, anyone else planning to do the same?.

Man City vs Real Madrid --- 1.72 - 4.50 - 4.40
The cost/risk ratio for betting on a draw or a win of Real is pretty good.
Real Madrid has their good form but Man City in the last match in Premier League also shown how good they are.

I focused more on the odds. In my opinion there is no clear favorite in this match. From this point of view, the odds for a draw or a win of Real are very good. Real Madrid is a little underrated this season. They didn't play brilliantly but very efficiently, so they deserved to be Spanish champions, while ManCity played much worse than last season (17 points less in the league than last season). Also they're eliminated in the semi-finals of the FA Cup, having won the cup last year.
The odds shows Real Madrid is considered lower than Man City. One reason is Man City will play at Etihad, their home stadium. Second reason is Real Madrid will not have Ramos. With last thing to fight for in this season, who know Man City will bring us from surprise to surprise and win the title, I don't know.

Real Madrid has their history in CL and their winning ADN and playing style of a dominator can help them. This match, I don't think Real can dominate Man City in ball possesion but from reverse attacks, they will be wisely and fastly enough to do something. Important thing for Real is not get concede goal first.

Honestly, playing home does not bring a big advantage these times. Without audience it is more like a test match on the Algarve coast in summer break. I can partly follow your arguments, but still the big gap in odds is not justified in my opinion, which is a good betting opportunity. To be more on the safe side I would bet on X2 (double chance draw or win Real). Odds are around 2.2 at the moment.

Bayern Munchen is already qualified.
I don't think that Chelsea is going to be able to reverse this situation and pass to the next stage.
However, I don't think that the odds are high to bet on this.

Instead of betting for Juventus and I think it is quite risky because even I personally am not sure of the Juventus squad this time and even though in the second leg Juventus play at home I am still not sure that Juventus will win and that way, I personally prefer to bet for Manchester City because for me City is still better when compared to Madrid this season and also, City have been winning 2-1 in the first leg so I'm sure City will be able to maintain that advantage or maybe will still win the match.

At this stage,,, I am objective and neutral and that is good for me, I think based on Europa games last night, the smart bet is to go for value here so Juventus only looks a good value if they are at least 2.0, same thing for City. Real Madrid at 4x is incredible value, these are the most experienced Champions League team so you never discount experience in this tournament:)

I personally think that there could be surprise this year. <...>
ditto. i think Napoli or Lyon will go through, Juve and Barca are not looking like the usual giants that bulldoze every team on their way, especially the spaniards. I'm not a fan of smaller teams advancing further in the CL than the top teams, but what can you do? (;

some users are already posting their CL picks, so i'll post my first CL ticket of the week:

Juventus' backline looked SO bad in the final stage of the serie A, i believe Lyon are totally capable of scoring one or two next friday, but, it's very unlikely that the italians will finish the match without finding the net, right?

As I posted earlier in this thread, I personally think that there could be surprise this year. There are so many critical factors this year that would not exist without this pandemia situation. It is the first time in years where I find it difficult to bet on a clear favourite. However, I would narrow it down to Bayern, Real and Juve but also I would not underestimated teams like Atalanta, Leipzig or Napoli.

I have to say we should not disagree,,, their ability to frustrate Liverpool across two games showed that they found the way to defeat the Reds and they can always improve and tinker with their strategies to achieve the same. But tell you,,, if they meet Real Madrid they will probably have a huge psychological barrier to overcome!

Who are your favorites to win the European Champions League?
Except for "natural and logical" favorites such as Bayern and Manchester City, I personally have the same ''inner feeling'' as the Marca journalists that the hidden favorite, from the shadows, is Atletico Madrid.
I have a feeling this could finally be their year and their opportunity.
In this article in Marca, they listed as many as 10 reasons in favor of Atletico: https://www.marca.com/en/football/spanish-football/2020/08/03/5f285385268e3ea4678b456f.html
hardly Atletico Madrid. in my opinion, Bayern and Manchester City will play in the final. and perhaps Liverpool will try to defend the title. maybe Barcelona will show the game from the times of Guardiola.

With Leipzig and then Atalanta or PSG they have a very doable way to the finals, that's for sure. But I find it really hard to predict since we only got one match per round. These KO games are always something very special. No tactical manoeuvring with the hope for the return match. As I said before, I think this favors teams that aren't really favorites on the paper. Because it's alway possible to get a lucky 1-0 or something like that and in this situation there is no second match for the favorits to to make up for that result.

although i am a fan of real madrid i must say that this game against Manchester city the real madrid has a great risk of losing the game for that reason i bet on the victory of manchester city

Juventus - Olympique Lyonnais

my bet was for juventus to win this game

Barcelona - Napoli

bet that barcelona will win that game, napoli has little chance of winning against barcelona

Bayern Munich - Chelsea

I bet on Both Teams To Score

Given how bad they were playing on the 1st leg, it is clear that the bookies favor Manchester City to win. Scoring 2 goal on Santiago Bernabeu with over 70k fans on the stadium is not an easy feat. Besides that, one of the reason that Real Madrid won La Liga was because Barcelona lose quite alot this season.

6 loses this season compared with last season which was 2 loses and 1 lose on 2017/2018 . Otherwise, things would be different but dont get me wrong on this because I still consider Real madrid a good team but Manchester City is better this season
