Perhaps of all the matches that took place last night, only the match from Group E was far from expectations because it was the top teams like AZ Alkmar and Aston Villa who ended up losing. Both AZ Alkmaar and Aston Villa are very favored to win even though this is an away match for both of them and I thought that both of them would win quite decisively in this match. But in fact it was the host who succeeded in pressuring his guest.

There were so many goals in these two matches and everyone was equally able to score each other's goals to win or even just equalize first. Legia Warszawa and Zrinjski Mostar achieved a convincing victory in that match and especially for Zrinjski Mostar I really appreciate the enthusiasm of the players because they were 3 goals behind in the first half before finally turning things around with 4 goals in the second half.

Yeah its not exeggarated when people say that Fenerbahçe can hit semifinals in conference league. I feel like currently they are one of the strongest teams in group stage already. Honestly watching Fenerbahçe is very enjoyable as they established one of the most solid squads they have built in later years. I feel like maybe strong teams coming from Europa league may change Fenerbahçe s chance only. Otherwise they will keep dominating conference league.

Yeah Fenerbahce managed to take advantage of the opportunity as the home team it wouldn't be surprising if they won today, if we look Fenerbahce history in this competition, they have won 7 times in a row including home and away matches and Fenerbahce is even one of the teams predicted to be able to reach the semi-finals or final. In other matches Beşiktaş only drew, yeah this is a good result if we look at the statistics Club Brugge should be able to win by 3 goals or more the attacks occurred sequentially fortunately Beşiktaş can handle it.

Aston Villa's European campaign for 13 years was indeed a very poor one as their toothless defending allowed Legia Warsaw to get the better of them. The English Premier League club who was playing away from home had come from behind to equalize in the game in two different occasions but couldn't hold on to a draw or probably get winner in the game.

Fenerbahce had a very comfortable win tonight. They played very well, I really didn't expect that much.

Beşiktaş drew 1-1. Cenk Tosun scored the equalizing goal in the 88th minute.
This is a very good score for Beşiktaş.

This is a big point for Besiktas and they can be satisfied with this against the most difficult opponent. Now they got some easier matches and they can pass the group easily. Also Bodo and Lugano drawed the match so this helps a lot ,because they arent behind them and have a good chance at that first place.

Beşiktaş saved themselves for now from a defeat vs the hardest opponent in their group thought. I could call that a good step for qualification.
For Fenerbahce, their direct rival is Ludogorets which trashed Spartak Trnava with 4 goals to 0 today by the way..
Otherwise teams like Dinamo Zagreb, Lille, Ferencvaros didn't have a problem to win with 2 or 5 goals difference. There is Fiorentina and worse Aston Villa and AZ Alkmaar that missed points in today's games.

We saved 1 point at the last minute, it would have been better to get 3 points, but it's better not to lose away. Club Brugge played better, naturally they are playing at home. They played with too much pressure. Beşiktaş gained 1 point from here and gained an advantage for leadership in the group. Mert Günok saved many goal positions. Vanaken scored and Club Brugge took the lead in the last moments, but Beşiktaş responded with Cenk Tosun. Aboubakar made a nice assist. Turkish teams have completed the day nicely. First Fenerbahce played a home game against Nordsjaelland. This was technically one of the toughest games of the group for them but the game was quite comfortable for them. The final score might seem 3-1 but it would have been even a more solid victory as Fenerbahce wasted many opportunities as well.

On the other hand Besiktas managed to steal one point from a tough away game. They played against Club Brugge and I didn't like their game much in general. But even though getting 1-0 behind they managed to score the equalizer in the last minutes. This one point is valuable as it might even decide the leader later on.

I was sure that Legia will put up a fight here in this game. I think it is never easy to play against teams from Poland in away games. They can tenaciously fight till the very end of a game and do not lose steam until the whistle is blown after over 90 minutes. I like their spirit and endurance and now Aston Villa had to overcome that force of Legia. It was as expected and Aston Villa was more active, more ball possession and a much higher accuracy in the game in general, but they couldn't turn their superiority into goals because that is when Legia is really fierce. The closer Aston Villa made it to the box, the more aggressive Legia became. Great collective performance by the team.

And a huge blow for AZ Alkmaar, oh damn it. They had a 3 goal lead against some to me unknown opponent named HŠK Zrinjski Mostar from Bosnia and Herzegovina and Alkmaar pulled off a feat and lost the game 4-3 and seriously, HŠK Zrinjski Mostar converted 4 out of 5 chances into goals and had 28% ball possession, really well done!

It was a very hard game and Aston villa was away. I can say that they put in their best into this game, this is their first appearance in the UEFA's club competition for a very long time, this isn't like the English premier league they are used to but they had put in a good performance, I would be looking forward to their next match with I believe they would do well and my prediction is that Aston villa would go very far in the UEFA conference league.

Things are under control for Fenerbahce now. It wasn't difficult for them to capture a 3-0 advantage. They conceded a goal because of a simple defensive mistake and it is 3-1 now. But Fenerbahce are still much more effective side with dangerous attacks at the moment. They are wasting really critical goal chances in these minutes. Only Fred wasted two big chances in a couple of minutes. This match could end with a bigger score if Fenerbahce start being better at finishing again.

This is the most challenging opponent in the group for Fenerbahce I think. Hence they should be finishing this group in the lead easily.

Aston Villa would likely have a very difficult time winning away. Given the starting lineup, I don't think Emery would earn all three points; Douglas Luiz, Watkins, and Cash are on the bench; while I hope they win, I predict a draw.

It seems that at this moment, I think maybe I'm only interested in betting on Aston Villa in the Europa Conference League match. Although Aston Villa will play away, but I believe that factor of playing away will not make Aston Villa difficult to win. Fenerbahce needs the support of the complete fans to be in the stadium tonight.They are playing against a Danish team also and we saw how much difficulties Galatasaray had yesterday against another Danish team,they barely managed to draw the game after being down 0-2 to 2-2 in the end of it.

I of course think that Fenerbahce will not make such mistake and I have also bet on them but small amount as you never know with these Danish teams,they play quite a strange football from what I have seen in the game of Copenhagen vs Rakow in final preliminary round of Champions.

I think Fenerbahçe will win easily, their opponents are easy for them and Fenerbahçe is playing well.

Beşiktaş has a difficult opponent, they lost 3-0 to Trabzonspor last week.
Club Brugge is a tough team and it will be a tough fight for Beşiktaş.

Conference League first game in Group stage was between Lille and Olimpija in France and it ended up by Lille victory with 2 goals. Olimpija failed to score goals and their opportunities were low. Lille controlled more the game and they were favourite in this home match anyway.
The remaining games will be played in less than 24 hours with Brugge - Beşiktaş as the most balanced one in my opinion since in the other games I see a clear favourite.

Group stage action is starting finally. My eyes will be on Group D tonight as Club Brugge and Beşiktaş will play. Both teams want to finish the group as the leader and advance directly to next round. Finishing in second place means clubs have to play a play-off round against teams coming from Europa League. So being first is very important in this tournament. This will be Beşiktaş's thoughest game and I don't know if it's good or bad to play the hardest match in first week. A win will boost morale and chances very high. A draw is also acceptable but Beşiktaş have to play for the win.
Aboubakar was on fire in elimination matches. He didn't score in Turkish league games but in European games he's a beast. He will be the best weapon of Beşiktaş tonight. Muleka, Rebic and Cenk whoever play in the wing have to give his best and feed Abou to score goals. Beşiktaş need to score in this game no matter what. They shouldn't play for 0-0. Club Brugge may have the ball and attack, Beşiktaş need to use counter attacks effective. I expect especially Muleka to play in this role.

In general the teams who reach the group stage ended be the bigger ones, we dont have so much surprise yesterday, the most nearby to a surprise for me , was the Rijeka putting into real issues the Lille team, it was really close for them.

We are gonna have a very decent group stage i think.
