Molde made a very fast start and made it 3-0 in the 24th minute. From that moment on, they idled the match and spent their time with the comfort of getting the score that would easily pass this round. Gulbrandsen is a striker we know from the Turkish League. It's quite normal for us that he scores two goals. The well-known another name Linnes also assisted one of the goals.
There was still no goal in the Olympiakos match, there were many goals in all other matches. Ferencvaros held out well until this moment. This score benefits Ferencvaros. We see that Olympiakos increased the pressure in the last minutes, they are trying everything to score a goal. El Kaabi couldn't make the last shots he wanted today.

It is really not easy to find reliable odds for the Conference League championship now. But according to a source I have seen the power rankings can be listed like:

1. Aston Villa
2. Fiorentina
3. Frankfurt
4. Betis
5. Fenerbahce

This is top 5 according to bookmakers now. I'm not surprised with Aston Villa's being the most favourite team for the championship. They really have a much better squad quality than the rest of the teams firstly. They have a manager like Emery also. There is no way they are giving up on this achievement. The Turkish side Fenerbahce are also seen among these teams. But we will see if they can show a consistent performance from now on.

No doubt why Aston Villa are called the top favourite.  Smiley  They have an amazing squad and a great game plan thanks to their very experienced manager Unai Emery. Emery has been really successful with the teams he has managed in the recent years. This is a fact that can't be denied. Aston Villa are likely to be another lucky team at the moment.

Fiorentina are great in the Serie A too so I'm not surprised. They are very good at having a nice balance between these 2 big competitions.

Frankfurt are one of the last champions in the Europa League already.

Betis are a challenging La Liga team which can create big problems for even the top teams like Real Madrid there.

Fenerbahce can really achieve a good success if they play well.

It seems like the Conference League isn't much to get excited about, even though the teams that play here are at least still part of the top European leagues . But ya,still, the reality is that the Conference League is not as interesting to look forward to as it is about what kind of team has a better chance of getting the trophy . But maybe, becasue still there Aston Villa who is having a very good trend this season, then maybe Aston Villa will be a strong candidate to get the Conference League trophy this season.

But about Ajax who will play against Bodo/Glimit in the play offs, I think both have a chance to qualify for the next round of the Conference League. Because ya, anyway, at least we can't put high hopes on Ajax at this moment, because Ajax is really facing a recovery period . Also,it's unclear whether Ajax will prioritize the Eredivisie or focus on the Conference League and therefore, I guess it doesn't seem like there are any guarantees for Ajax at this point.

To tell the truth my favourite to win the title is Aston Villa as they are the strongest one among the remaining teams now. If their performance in the group stage was bad then I would have reconsider my choice but they weren't like that at all. They had a solid group stage. Maybe their group wasn't the most challenging one but still.  Smiley

Aston Villa are really busy with the Premier League on one hand as they are fighting really hard in the most difficult league in Europe. They are very competitive for even the title there for now. Considering that I wonder if they would have any problem on balancing these two tournaments later on. But they are just playing really different in Emery's control so I would expect them to be successful at doing this.

Though looking at Aston Villa's performance in the conference league and in the premier league so far, it can be believed that Aston Villa might be the likely favorite to win the Europa conference league but notwithstanding Aston Villa's lovely improvement this season, I still see clubs like Fiorentina, LOSC Lille, club brugge as teams that are also stronger in the conference league along side Aston Villa so definitely, there's gonno be lots of competition in the league so for now tipping Aston Villa as the title favourites isn't too certain.

If you looks at it as a whole, the most striking thing is the Premier League clubs. We definitely know the strengths they have in the Premier League because it is a very competitive league and the competition is very tight, and I also seems to be favoring Aston Villa here because it seems Aston Villa has potential which is big for wins even in the Premier League, Aston Villa is a club that is challenging at the top of the standings, so I am also sure that Aston Villa will not play around in matches this season.

Even though they are busy, in fact Aston Villa can still stabilize their performance and achieve good result, but recently they got unsatisfactory result, namely losing when they visited Manchester United headquarters, but I'am sure Aston Villa will not be affect by the mentality of defeated and will winning again at next match because Aston Villa are still fighting at the top of the Premier League standing and will also focus on the European league conference.

We have nearly 6 weeks left in these matches with transfer window is also coming after few weeks which can bring too many changes in any team with impact is also surely going to change with these transfers just because of this we have no realistic list and favourite from bookies and other sources but still as this is showing we can understand how things will be gone with I believe from these teams anyone can win and go through for the title with Fiorentina lost in last year against West Ham which is giving them some favour even Aston Villa is having good time, and they can also go for the title but for me most chances they will be preferred Premier League as with current form and consistency they have chance for the Champions League spot in coming season.

We currently have few teams which can make things interesting in this season in Conference league with no one is hot favourite for the title because few teams are level in quality even performance and consistency is problem but still it's not easy game for the Aston Villa as well with today they held by bottom side Sheffield United which is big below for them as they were going to touch top spot in Premier League but now having second spot with most chances they could be slipped to third after Liverpool vs Arsenal game.

Now we have Fiorentina, Betis, Lille and Ajax these can do good for the title as few are improving their performance after poor start of the season and few are already doing good which can bring them to better level for the win here in Conference league even Aston Villa is the toughest side but still while you are playing with teams which are having different leagues it's never been easy to beat them.

Aston Villa is one of the favorite teams in the Conference League, it is not without reason that we can see how consistent Unai Emery squad is at the moment. Even in the current EPL, Villa has managed to rank third in the standings. Of course, by understanding their competitive level, we can easily draw the conclusion that Villa deserves to be the favorite here. They managed to get through the group phase easily, even though they didn't record perfect points because they lost and drew once. However, in reality, Unai Emery and his fleet managed to qualify as group winners.

Several teams coming from the Europa League play off route add to the level of competition, but I don't think they can eliminate Aston Villa as title contenders in first place. The Conference League is not that interesting, because it is filled with relatively average teams. However, the bargaining value here is worth fighting for seriously. Apart from trophies and bonuses, the team that succeeds in becoming champions is entitled to a playing slot in the European League next season.
I favor Aston Vila to win Conference League not only because they are a strong team who are well in-form in premier league and the result in their group stage, but also because they are managed by Unai Emery who is well-known as tournament specialist. he has won four Europa League trophies as manager, and even he guided Villareal to reach Champions League semi-final three years ago while having a bad season in La Liga.

Aston Villa is having a good morale with the success in domestic competitions that often translates into positive performances in European tournament. Unai Emery's reputation as a tournament specialist is is particularly relevant in the Conference League's knockout format, where Emery's tactical acumen and experience could prove pivotal. Guiding Villareal to the Champions League semi-final despite a challenging La Liga season demonstrates Emery's capability to lead a team to success on the European stage, even when faced with adversity domestically. Combining team performance and the proven success of Unai Emery in tournaments provides concrete evidence that Aston Villa can appear to be strong contenders for success in the Conference League.
The UEFA Conference League without doubt has been very competitive since the start of the season as a lot of the teams in the competition are doing exceptionally well to make sure the reach the final of the competition. The conference league was won by an English Premier League club last season but West Ham but considering how better the Aston Villa team has been since the start of the season both in their league campaign as well as in the conference league, it'll be very difficult to stop from winning the conference league trophy at the end of the season.

The current manager of the club Unai Emery is one of the most experienced managers in European competitions at the moment and would definitely want to add to his CV once again by winning the UEFA Conference League trophy.

Well i don't really know if Aston Villa is strong enough to win the Conference League, but they're doing pretty good this season ad with their current form, they could go far in the Tournament and reach the finals, Unai Emery is an experienced coach and has won several, major trophies and with the experience he's got there’s a possibility that he could lead Aston Villa to win their first major trophy.

Talking about the domestic league, their level of Consistency this season is superb and with the good effort of Emery they've grown very strong in the EPL and have reached a position they've not attained in years, it would be very suprising to see a once mediocre team qualify for the top four and play in the Champions league, Aston Villa fans would be very happy to see their team win the Conference League and also qualify for the UCL.

but anyways they can wake up and become again a hard team to beat, like the surprises they gave when they destroy spurs in Zagreb a few years back.
Its not like they have a very good team in a bad form, they now have a mediocre team that is in a bad for =m and those two are entirely different things. They can't even dominate in Croatian league (something that they did for more than 15 years) so their performance in Confernece League is not a surprise and I don't expect much against Betis either.

I count myself into the category of people who don't think too positively about the Conference League because it feels like a competition that is organized just because there is more money to be made.
There is nothing weird about Conference League as throughout its history UEFA usually had 3rd tier competition, like for example Cup Winners Cup that went on for almost 40 years, or even UEFA Intertoto Cup.

Well Betis droping from Europa League when they ahve the ticket in their pocket and lose it in the last part of the game against Rangers, and now they have a very fiercer rival in Conference League, the Dinamo Zagreb is not a joke, they are not in his best level but is a team who knows how to play at high level.
If that was Dinamo from a year ago, then I would agree with you that Betis will have a hard job, but unortunately that's not the case anymore. This summer Dinamo sold 3 out of 4 best players and the replacements were mostly bad (the only expection being Kaneko) so unfortunately I expect this to be an easy job for Betis (if they actually show up with their best team).

On the other hand, Real Betis vs Dinamo Zagreb is a tense match because in my opinion Dinamo Zagreb is still better than Real Betis and yes I want to see them go further through this round of 16.
How to tell me that you haven't watched any Dinamo games this season without telling me that you haven't watched any Dinamo games this season.  Cheesy

Yeah i know the performance of Dinamo Zagreb is down the pipe, i was following them since the start of the european qualifiers, and i see them losing the Champions qualy and the europa league one also, so since that time i know they are not in the same shape as always, but anyways they can wake up and become again a hard team to beat, like the surprises they gave when they destroy spurs in Zagreb a few years back.

I count myself into the category of people who don't think too positively about the Conference League because it feels like a competition that is organized just because there is more money to be made. Now opinions can differ whether money is the best argument for everyone involved. I don't know how much the clubs get from the cake. But I must say that there are a few interesting games to be played here. I think Union Saint-Gilloise vs. Frankfurt is the game with the strongest teams. Hopefully we have some great teams to make it to the final here.

Domestically yes, but in the international scene, they're still finding their feet. They were able to book a place in the last 16 of the conference league with 8 points from 2 wins 2 draws but I'd expect Eintracht Frankfurt to scale through to the next round of the competition based on their experience.

This is one interesting game to watch, but I'm not pleased with Dinamo Zagreb performance in the group stage after their 3 wins from 3 home matches. If they don't return back from the festive season with some kind of rekindle spirit, I don't see them getting pass this stage of the competition. Real Beatis has not been convincing but I'd still put my money on them.

I can't see the odds for winning the Europa Conference League title for now - at least on the website I regularly check on   Smiley. But the odds can change quite much after the teams from the Europa League have come and the matchups in the current stage are drawn as well. I wonder what Ajax's odds to win this title are now.  Huh

Because Ajax are currently in a recovery period. They have improved their results very much in the Eredivisie recently. Plus they won the critical match in the Europa League to be able to come here at least. I think that they will manage to eliminate Bodo/Glimt. But they had better not underestimate their opponent as Bodo/Glimt can catch bigger teams by surprise.  Grin

Maybe someone missed the draw for the round of 16 of the conference league and these are the draw results. As can be seen, many strong teams have managed to advance to the round of 16 and perhaps my focus will be on the Saint Gilloise vs Frankfurt and Real Betis vs Dinamo Zagreb matches. I think this match is at an equal level and maybe there will be surprises that are difficult to predict.

I feel Saint Gilloise is still a strong team in the conference league but it is possible that Frankfurt will make things difficult for them early. On the other hand, Real Betis vs Dinamo Zagreb is a tense match because in my opinion Dinamo Zagreb is still better than Real Betis and yes I want to see them go further through this round of 16. Which match do you think is the most interesting and maybe you have other favorite matches?
