I can see Aston Villa was targetting draw result from this match because since the beginning of this match Aston Villa let Ajax to dominate the game and sometimes Aston Villa can threaten Ajax defensive lines but basically Aston Villa was playing carefully because seems they don't want to conceded goal early and for Ajax actually since they were taking initiative to playing more attacking Ajax got several opportunities to scores but unfortunately their players were unable to utilized those opportunities to scores goals and for Aston Villa their target were accomplished because they can return to home without lost but for Ajax this result is very unfavourable

Second leg will be more easy for Aston Villa because they will playing at Villa Park and we all know Aston Villa was very strong in all competitions especially Aston Villa only required to win with at least 1-0 if they want to advances to the quarterfinal and for Aston Villa it is very possible to achieved especially they have Unai Emery and we all know he is very experience manager and previously Emery can able to gets several European trophies with his former clubs just like Villarreal or Sevilla so i am sure second leg will belongs to Aston Villa and recently i have checked the odds for this match and Aston Villa win has low odds @1.45

Yep, I can say almost impossible for Ajax to beat Aston in the 2nd leg later.
I dont think they will be able to repeat the same victory scenario against Bodo in the play-off round.

Ajax performance in Eredivisie probably the same as Chelsea in the Premier league.
They are fifth in the league now and have lost their last 2 away games.

Honestly Fenerbahçe surprised me. Sometimes they play very well and sometimes they are unrecognizable. I would have been able to speak more clearly if they had been a stable run. I expected Union Saint-Gilloise to be more resilient. This round is now Fenerbahçe's, that's for sure.
There was talk in the media that too much money was paid for Oosterwolde, but now it seems that the player could have been sold for a much higher price. Batshuayi played efficiently again. By the way, corner stats were pretty interesting, but the score is the most important.

In another Conference League match, Ajax were held to a goalless draw with Aston Villa at Johan Cruijff ArenA. Both teams were down to 10 men as Ajax's Tristan Gooijer and Aston Villa's Ezri Konsa received red cards.

The difference in the quality of the team was very visible in the match, although Union is currently a great team in the Belgian League but apparently they have to admit the quality of the squad owned by Fenerbache, the 3-0 defeat at home is a sign that the quality of players owned by Union is currently not able to compete in Europe, although throughout the match they continue to dominate but honestly they have a bad finish in my opinion,  Throughout the game, Union was able to continue shooting, but somehow their players didn't seem to know where the goal was and made the Fenerbache goalkeeper not have to

Ajax actually got a bad result and playing without a goal against Aston Villa will make the chances of getting to the next round even tougher and Aston Villa should be able to make good use of the next match by performing better by winning the match even with a narrow score.

First of all, you can easily see the huge value difference between these 2 teams. This can also give you some good information about the quality difference here.

But on the other hand there was a really solid data regarding Union Saint-Gilloise in their domestic league. They have done incredible things in Jupiler Pro League in only 3 years after going up there. They even eliminated a team like Frankfurt in the Europa League also. After seeing this data in front of me I thought they would be really dangerous competitor for Fenerbahçe. However Fenerbahçe had a huge performance last night. I think a 3-0 win is more than enough to seal the deal. 

I was afraid of Union SG, but I saw in the Fenerbahçe match that this is a well trained team with normal physical capacity, but they don't have players with high technical capacity. They are just an athletic team. Fenerbahçe's top players with high technical level unlocked the game against Union SG. In fact, the total value of Union SG is 66 million euros and the estimated value of Fenerbahçe is 360 million euros. This means that it is normal for Fenerbahçe to beat a team with whom they will play a friendly match. The Fenerbahçe defense performed very well in this match, but the problems persist. The attacking players made smart moves and led Fenerbahçe to victory.

Fenerbahçe played really well, I think it was a comfortable win. I wish they would play as enjoyable in the league.

I am a bit surprised with the result of that game and I find it large comparing the ability of the two teams. I have nothing to say about Fenerbahçe but we expected more from Union Saint-Gilloise than being defeated by 3 goals to 0.
The other Belgian team, Club Brugge, lost their game too but with only one goal difference so their chances are bigger to catch-up in the second leg than Union Saint-Gilloise...

Amoura has a very impressive performance. He is like Cengiz Ünder in his prime. I was expecting this performance from Cengiz Ünder but I saw it from him in the first half. Also, when they get the ball, they counterattack very fast. This is definitely one of the most difficult games for us this season. Union Saint-Gilloise will probably be more dangerous in Istanbul because they are very prone to counter-attacks. I liked Çağlar's performance for Fenerbahçe. He will have a big role in defense in this match. I hope our strikers will be more prominent in the rest of the game.

There were plenty of goals in all the matches today, all of them finished over 2.5 goals, but only the Ajax - Aston Villa match was scoreless. However, there were millions of bettors waiting for this match to go over goals. Such situations don't seem like coincidence to me anymore. I watched the match for 90 minutes and neither team made much effort to find a goal. 0-0 was enough for both sides. In fact, Ajax should have scored at home. The second game will be difficult for them.
Konsa and Gooijer got red cards in the last minutes of the game. They won't be available for the second match. I expect Aston Villa to win the second match at home and go through quarter final. I especially didn't like Ajax's game today. Aston Villa was okay with draw at away game.

Royale Union Saint-Gilloise's starting XI against Fenerbahce :TMoris, Sykes, Burgess, Machida, Castro-Montes, Vanhoutte, Sadiki, Teklab, Amoura, Puertas, Nilsson.

Royale Union SG are definitely a challenging opponent for Fenerbahçe. This team promoted to the first league in their country in the 2021/22 season and since then they have been doing an amazing work. I mean they were even so close to becoming the champions in the first season they promoted there. This would have been a great success as it isn't very common to be seen. 

Right now they are very determined about the league title there as well. Fenerbahçe technically have a bigger quality when we compare the players. But here at this point they should be very careful anyway. I think both teams to score at 1.70 and over 2.5 goals at 1.86 could be nice choices for this game. 

Union Saint-Gilloise is a difficult opponent. Belgium's best team this year, the last time they lost in their league was 6 months ago.
Union Saint-Gilloise is a strong opponent for Fenerbahçe, I hope Fenerbahçe plays well and wins the game.

It is true, the challenges that each contestant will face are very different, because most of them rarely meet each other. I mean, it will be difficult for them to measure the strength of their opponents because they rarely compete against each other intensely, unlike in their respective domestic competitions. I chose Aston Villa for several reasons, one of them including their consistency in the Premier League. Of course I don't intend to underestimate other teams, we really understand that surprises can happen and the favorite team can be eliminated early.

I agree with Fiorentina, the Serie A representatives were finalists last season and I think they also deserve to be included in the list of favorite teams. Apart from all that, every fan definitely has their own favorite team, and has a method of assessing which team has the potential to become champion. Currently the European Conference League is still in the last 16 stage, meaning there are several more rounds to see who will be the champion at the end of the competition.

Macabi Haifa did not have good control of the match because from the start of the match Gent performed quite well and managed to dominate the game, but it was quite shame that in this match Macabi Haifa received red card which was received by Sundgren who plays as defender.
After the red card occurred and made Macabi Haifa play with 10 players, Gent appeared more aggressive but they failed to create an advantage and win the match, I think in this match there was drama that was clearly shown.
Macabi Haifa were really lucky because in the first leg match they were able to lead by 1 point and this draw allowed them to qualify for the round of 16, but I don't think that the next match will be easy for them.
Fiorentina will be tough opponent and of course this is very dangerous for Macabi Haifa, Fiorentina will really make Macabi Haifa feel the pressure and make them drop out of the UEFA Conference League competition.
Moreover, Fiorentina themselves were runners-up last season and they can play better to become competitors again in the race for the title.

Well in fact this cup is more like a intertoto cup or a develop tournament to not big teams, i dont see in a bad way that position because it gives some teams money and a way to train playing against others.

The only bad thing is for medium or big teams, if you win this tournament you cant  brag so much about it

There are literally only a few teams left which can be called strong in this tournament.    This is what I don't like about the Conference League. There isn't much to watch here. It is even a tournament that was started a short time ago for no reason. Weren't the Champions League and Europa League enough for UEFA?

There isn't much prestige in the Conference League either. I don't think for example Roma board are seeing that Conference League title like an amazing achievement. I mean there wasn't much challenge for Roma then in the first place.    I feel like this tournament won't get more popular in time and UEFA might even remove it because of not meeting the expectations.

Aston Villa is indeed one of the main candidates to win this tournament but in the next match Aston Villa will face Ajax, I don't think this is an easy match because we know Ajax is a team that has ability and experience as we saw in the last match, they managed to win in the last minute. I'm not saying Ajax will definitely beat Aston Villa, it's just that it's not easy and the chance is 50:50 determination will take place in 2 legs and each team must be able to take advantage of the opportunity to play at home.
