I was surprised to see Georgia got eliminated by losing to North Macedonia. They were playing quite good before that match. As for my favorite nation in Euro 2021, I think France can win the cup. They are playing really good in UEFA Nations League now. They have a big potential to win Euro 2021 too.

North Macedonia is not so strong team but they had gained respect in this stage.
They have gotten good results recently and they are totally worth this performance.
Goran Pandev is a true leader in this team and he can carry the team even in this age.

Ronaldo is almost a given I'd say (penalty) and I love Mbappe but I keep seeing Giroud getting the goals so it makes me shy for picking this. Still think you'll win though, so nice!

I've just bitten the bullet and put a small bet on France + Croatia parlay at just over 9/1. France super good value even on their own at 34/10 though huh!
The portugal vs france case is similar to yesterday match between uruguay vs colombia in world cup qualification.
Uruguay had a high odds @4.3 if i am not wrong while i was thinking "this gonna be a sure winning for uruguay , what the fffuck bookies why did they put that high odds on the favorite of mine lol"
And now france with that high odds @3.5 while i am thinking portugal has no chance to win this one.
What's wrong with the bookies thesedays.

Portugal's game last Wednesday against Andora was epic. Portugal was rootless against Andora and punished them severely. I just had my eyes fixed on Ronaldo and he surely showed his taste for goals as always untill he got one. I just couldn't pity Andora any less for the beating they received from Portugal, I'm sure all Andora was wishing for is the final whistle to end the game, Lol. Portugal would have been nothing without Ronaldo, he sure loves his country and puts in everything to make it great.

Uruguay did have a fair share of Colombia this evening. I've always trusted Luiz Suarez more in a game against James Rodriguez.
Colombia 0-3 Uruguay

Can't wait for Euro 2020 to finally kick off. Feeling excited already. Seen some interesting performances in the qualifiers. So we should expect more during the tournament. My pity goes to Hungary though. I'm still trying to figure out who they will be getting a point(s) from - Portugal, France and definitely not Germany.

I'm not going with anything fancy. I'm gunning for a Portugal win tomorrow.

If tournament have to start tomorrow I think this teams should advance to the 1/8 final:
Turkey, Italy, Switzerland
Denmark, Belgium
Netherlands, Austria, Ukraine
England, Croatia, Czechia
Spain, Sweden, Poland
Portugal, Germany
I wonder how accurate my prediction will be in reality Wink

You kick out France out of the final 1/8?
France is way better than Portugal and I think that Germany along with France will qualify from this group.
There is a lot of talent in the French team while the Portuguese one is of medium talent.

I would probably fancy Portugal's chances of advancing in the group over France's, Portugal happen to be more consistent and determined in competition, France on the other hand seem not having a first team yet. That said, it's Hungary I actually feel for.

Where is France?  you forgot that one  Cheesy  France is the best candidate to go to the final, although in the last friendly match they were defeated
I believe that's part of the strategy testing. Mbappe and teammates can do more in the next match, even though they were against Portugal.

agree on France, they will probably be into next round with Germany, will be interesting to see will Portugal have anything to offer to claim their spot as well, Hungary will be there to collect three loses probably
i would not count out Scotland as well, they are not playing that nice, but that is a result oriented team and could pass into next round, think that Czech Republic is closer to be out, than Scotland

damn! i forgot Hungary was going to be in Group F 😲

That Group F is really brutal compared to the other groups. Nice for Hungary that they qualified, but looks like they will only be cannon fodder in this one (famous last words....).

Group D looks interesting with the Battle of Britain and always dangerous Croats. Group C though Roll Eyes If NED fails to qualify for KO stages from that group, then goodbye dutch football.

For the fun of it, I'll play a 2/4 system with all matches going to penalties:

Serbia - Scotland @7.00
Georgia - North Macedonia @5.00
Hungary - Iceland @6.00
Northern Ireland - Slovakia @5.00

And a parlay of these for odds of @1050 Cheesy

Although I didn't get anything in return, this wasn't the worst bet of my life Grin With a bit more of luck NIR-SVK could have gone to penalties and then 7*5=@35 would have resulted in a nice profit. HUN-ICE wasn't far away from extra time and then a penalty shootout is always possible. I would play that again Smiley

I'm not happy about today's results at all. All 4 teams which I preferred to see in Euro lost their games.
North Macedonia qualified to EURO for the first time in history. It's nice that their legend, 37 years old Goran Pandev scored decisive goal.
After amazing performance in Euro 2016, this time Iceland failed to qualify. Pity for them, they didn't played bad today.
Scotland qualified to major tournament for the first time since 1998. They won after penalties, bur IMO they deserved it more than Serbia. Maybe now England, North Ireland and Wales fans will stop laughing from them Cheesy.

I never thought North Ireland would be laughing when they are equally poor in terms of football quality:P But yes, nice to see that and as I commented in another thread, nice to see teams who attack all the way to the end get what they deserve (except North Ireland who drew and then lost in the additional time).

Serbia losing probably is the biggest upset of the night even if because of penalties.

Congrats to Scotland on qualifying but I would have preferred Serbia in our Euro group. We actually have very bad H2H with Scotland and this means we have to play two home teams in the group. First we play against England on Wembley and then against Scotland in Glasgow. Will be a tough group.

Not really, I plan on going to the EUROs if the COVID situation will be OK by then and having Serbs in our group means there will always be exponentially more idiots from both sides around to cause problems.

I don't care much about these H2H's as well, Scots are a team I'd always be happy to draw in the group stage of a major tournament. It is a decent group with Chech Republic as the 4th team, I think we'll be able to go through. Also, I really like playing England during major tournaments so the group looks great to me.

Only if our team did as well..

yeah, under goals are more than expected, and North Macedonia passed through with one goal, and there is an away goal in Hungary and Northern Ireland, with goalless draw in Serbia at half time

no home team scored up to this point, interesting to play live that Serbia will score in the second half

All the home teams scored in those three games from 88th minute onwards! 4 goals in 6 minutes across 3 games;) Serbia should have just stayed down and let me win my Scotland pick, but there you go. Needless 30 mins of extra time to play for all the team, must be hell tired.
In the end it was more goals in qualifying games than I expected. They were by no means open games but few early goals did made them much more interesting. There was a couple of goals when the ball just entered pass the post, maybe even touching it, and if those were a couple of centimeters less precise the games would have been different.

Anyway, Georgia is my nostalgic regret, I was really hoping they'd go all the way.

All the same, splash of colours now with new faces in and the good old Scottish blue back in the mix.
