Ronaldo with 5 goals, but I kind of dislike the fact that he scores so many penalties all the time. It feels like it distorts the true top scorer list. He has always been scoring a good chunk of his goals per season with penalties. I am not sure but I think there was a time when penalties didn't count to the overall total, am I wrong?
Regardless of how the goal was created, currently ronaldo has collected 5 goals and with portugal still surviving in euro 2020/21 of course there is still an opportunity for ronaldo to break the record held by Michel Platini (9 goals) as the player with the most goals collection in one Euro tournament edition.
Ronaldo is currently listed as the first Portugal player to always score in three Euro  group stage matches and of course that is quite proud for both Portugal fans and Ronaldo.

They don't call him "Penaldo" for nothing. People criticize him for scoring a lot from the spot as if it's that easy. He misses, they mock him. He scores, they still mock him. hehe

Critics huh? Well you will find for every player. Its just how it is. But they are the ones whom players live to shut up no? They will rise up once again when Ronaldo perform poorly. It goes on and on.. it's a part of football now.
Yes fans and critics are all part of the sport. I just find some people's dislike of popular players like Ronaldo extreme.

...
England were only destined to be unlucky, it could have been Germany or Portugal, at the luckiest they could have gotten Hungary, but it's the toughest they get, I guess they'd get tested at some point of the tournament eventually, perhaps the earlier the better ?
It seems to be the case. They would be lucky if the match will be decided on a penalty shoot out.

The most interesting match in the round of 16 will be Germany vs England. Germany can pass the tour in this round. Of course, England also has this possibility. Considering the matches played in groups, I think Germany is luckier.
Lol, I think the match will still be boring because previously I felt these two teams would be very productive teams, but the fact is not so good even though both of them can qualify for the round of 16. I personally prefer the Belgium - Portugal match, I'm sure this match will be exciting because both have productive goalscoring machines like Ronaldo who is the temporary top scorer and Lukaku who looks like he will still be sharp in Belgium's attack.

I don't know which team to back between England (@2.55) and Germany (@2.9) but I know that those bet are very good for the winner!
Now the team advancing to the next round gonna most likely play the final game after winning vs Netherlands in semi final.
In the left side, we have hard games coming which will involve France, Belgium, Italy but also Portugal and Spain.

The fact that Hungary turned out to be the weakest in the group is not surprising, this result was predictable. Yes, Hungary played very decently, with three games they playd draw twice, in such a group it is a very decent result, it is a pity that they will not continue their participation in the tournament further, I think they had very good prospects to fight with the strongest teams.
They were the bottom of the group but they weren't that weak. Everyone was expecting Hungary to be zero points and maybe even zero goals but on contrary to popular belief they got 2 points out of three games, that is not something people expected, it is really a cool result if you ask me. The other three were looked like they would go up anyway unless something major changed, and all three did went up and that's cool to see.

I wouldn't want to miss out on their games and watch some other weaker them just because they were in an easier group then these three. At the end of the day we are doing so much better as fans, the teams that are left going to have elevation games and they are usually much more entertaining to watch. This is why I am hoping that we are going to see better odds as well, since it is elimination I believe odds will be higher for even favorites so we may make some good bucks.

dammit! my bet was a total disaster. Only 1 corner in the game, even though there were 20+ total shots Huh not gonna bet on corners again :-P

who do you guys think it's gonna advance to quarter-finals? my predictions in bold:

Belgium - Portugal
Italy - Austria
France - Switzerland
Croatia - Spain
Sweden - Ukraine
England - Germany
Netherlands - Czech Republic
Wales - Denmark

I don't think have any Objections to these selections, but I would watch out for Wales against Denmark, that'd be some cracker and the odds for Wales are really enticing and valuable imho.

I just saw the draw for the round of 16.
It looks like England was too lucky to face Germany this early despite topping their group.
Italy, Spain, France had the better draws.

It's baseless counting how many of his goals are penalties, it's his regardless he's not the penalty taker for the fun of it. Whatever he does he's dedicated and it always pays off eventually.

England were only destined to be unlucky, it could have been Germany or Portugal, at the luckiest they could have gotten Hungary, but it's the toughest they get, I guess they'd get tested at some point of the tournament eventually, perhaps the earlier the better ?

It will be a great match between England and Germany. As for others , don't take their fixtures easily as well. This teams have played well in group stage and have surprised some good teams.

But who will be eliminated? England and Germany have full strength in this EURO 2020 I believe this match will be tougher to watch.

But this Italy, Spain, France team is strong enough to qualify. I only saw in the previous game that they would always try to win, even though the other teams had not yet decided to give him the win.

Portugal and Belgium for me is quite balanced.
Will Ronaldo score from a penalty again?

England will have Wembley advantage but is it actually a disadvantage with all that pressure?

Yes, there is a lot of pressure. England have a bad record against Germany, and have lost to them in important matches a few times. There is a big psychological barrier for England to overcome here. The players will be worried, I think... whereas Germany are more used to winning, and don't have any pressure of home advantage, either, plus expectations for their team are lower than usual.
There is big trouble for England, as it stands they will meet Germany in the round 16. England got the most talented players but what they offer is below many people expectations. England is just a lucky team, I don't see England surviving knock out stage. In this tournament England play most boring football whereas Germany a well packaged.

now the group stage is over and until the first 1/8-final games there are now 2 days of regeneration break.
some time to share the new records that have been achieved in the last 1.5 weeks with you here:

  • polish national player Kacper Kozlwoski is, at 17 years and 246 days, the youngest player ever to play in a euro tournament
  • Cristiano Ronaldo is now with his 14 euro goals, the one who has scored the most goals in the euros
  • CR7 is also the player who has scored the most national goals for his country - 109
  • Patrick Schick's 2-0 against scotland was the goal scored from the greatest distance (~45 meters)
  • 2 own goals from one team in one game, never happened before at the euro (this happened now at the games germany vs. portugal and slovakia vs. spain)
  • never have so many own goals been scored in a euro as now (currently Cool
  • italy is the first team ever to win its 3 group games without conceding a goal
  • denmark is the first team which lose its first two games and still reach the 1/8 finals

It is indeed a fact that some goals are scored on penalties but it can't be denied it's still a goal every country can do the same so there's nothing strange there it's normal unless only Portugal can get a goal from a penalty that might be weird.
Penalties requires composure, powerful shooting and ability to deception. Last time I checked Penalty has been part of the game. Manchester United lost the Europa league tittle on penalties shoot-outs.
Let me bring to your awareness that Meesi in total has missed four of the 19 penalties he's taken in the blue and white, In total he's taken 107 penalties, scoring 82 and missing 25. A success rate of just 76.6%, well below Ronaldo.

Hungary performed a magic! Because of them I lost several multi bets!)) But I still admire their game and their team!

I didn't like Portugal's game, if it wasn't for 2 penalties, there's no way they could have won this match!

Despite all this, Hungary should lose against Germany but I am personally going to bet on a very juicy draw.
Love profits like those made possible by such bets! It is always nice to get a couple hundred thousand satoshis this way. Teams have a few days to rest before the round of 16. I am glad Denmark was able to qualify after all that happened.
Anyway, now the fun begins, they will all be interesting matches to study well to earn some more satoshi.

Despite the Wembley advantage of England playing agoanst Germany isn't going to be as easily predicted as it might seem. England is top of the table in group D waiting t qualify for the last 16 set but for me the match might go against England because Germany are is coming in with a full squad and it's not going to be a walk over .
