The thing is even without the late goal scored by Türkiye they will certainly still finish ahead for Georgia because the euro uses the headed to as criteria ahead of other conditions. This was the reason why Portugal had already been confirmed as group winners even without playing today’s game, because they cannot be toppled. The goal difference comes in when the game between the two opponents had ended in draw or the teams with a same point will make use of the goal difference.

They seriously deserved their qualification, when the group was rolled out many has actually slept on them, the 3-0 win against Ukraine was what actually boost their confidence to say they could go all the way. The game against the Dutch is definitely going to be a evenly balanced regardless of who the better team on paper is. Romania are looking like a team that will cause many upset in this tournament

The matches in Group F are over and Turkey is second and advances to the next round.

What happened to Portugal today because I didn't watch the match. I was watching the Türkiye - Czech Republic match. It was a very exciting and tiring match. Even though Czech Republic was down to 10 players, we could not play a comfortable game in the early minutes.

Hakan Çalhanoğlu scored a goal and relieved us, the captain. Even though there were only ten men, the Czech Republic fought well and were even able to score the equalizing goal. Cenk Tosun scored the winning goal in the first match he played in. He is a good finisher and I don't understand why he didn't play until now.

Georgia qualified for the round of 16 as one is the best losers of the group stage in the tournament. There are 6 groups, the 2 top teams in the group stage automatically qualify to make it 12 teams that qualify automatically while 4 of the best remaining teams among the other 12 that didn't qualify will make it to the round of 16. Georgia was one of those teams. They finished the group stage with 4 points and because they managed to score 2 needed goals today and not concede any, they finished with 4 points and 0 goal difference.

When will Montella realize that playing without a striker is a mistake? They couldn't score against an opponent who played 70 minutes with 10 men. When a real striker like Cenk Tosun came on, he won the game. Türkiye is moving forward despite Montella. The tree they are in is also very good, all the strong teams are on the other side. Georgia performance tonight really surprised me. Georgia won Portugal that comfortably won both Turkey and Czechia. Football is really unpredictable sometimes, sincerely speaking I never saw this Georgia win coming. Despite Turkey late win that helped them secure second place, Georgia still made it to the round of 16 where they will face Spain on Sunday. They should celebrate their win and get ready for Sunday, if they can pull this kind of result on Sunday and win Spain, then people will start taking them serious. I don't know what went wrong in the Portuguese team tonight, maybe they considered the match as irrelevant, because I'm still struggling to understand why Portugal couldn't score a team like Georgia. I know Sunday will be a different story for Georgia because Spain won't give them that opportunity they enjoyed in their victory against Portugal.

However did we play decently? I don't think so. Even against a team down by one player, we had big problems on getting an advantageous score.

Austria are indeed way better than us. I watched their Netherlands game and I was really impressed. They have no mercy against teams with problems in their defense. We are quite vulnerable in this area so this makes me nervous. Sad

Our main target was to qualify for last 16. But I hope we can do more than this. Next time, please be more careful with your choices Montella... This squad can be used more effectively in 4-2-3-1 formation again.

They have more advantage of advancing but look what happened today, Georgia pulled a stunt that surprised everyone today, they won Portugal with 2 goals to none and almost took the best loser spot. football is a very unpredictable sport at times and anything can happen.

Well the surprise in the last match happened again after the last few days we have always been surprised by some unexpected results beforehand which of course this makes the Euro condition quite impressive and indeed we cannot predict for sure.
Portugal played well and I don't want to deny that either but Georgia was completely unexpected. An all out attack in the first half saw them take a quick lead that saw their confidence grow as the game went on. In addition, I think in this match Willy Sagnol played his role very well on the sidelines where he managed to give good instructions and the Georgian players were also quite calm even though if we look at the whole game we can see that Portugal's attacks are like waves that continue without knowing time but with the solidity of the Georgian players and good teamwork, they managed to double the score and kill the game in today's match.
