Today's games are interesting and the most interesting one is France against Poland since losing a point will have bad consequences in the ranking and for the next stage match for France. Finishing first is required and a victory against Poland is a must for them. So far France looks favourite and in a good shape comparing to Poland.
There is also England that should remain first too. Slovenia are lower than them but who knows. Otherwise Denmark - Serbia and Netherlands - Austria teams aren't far from each others in terms of performance and everything could happen in these games.
Mbappe will play today, there's no chance France will lose in this match. If we're talking about the worst situation, France could drop to third position, it's really high unlikely they will drop to fourth position.

As for Group C (England, Denmark, Slovenia, and Serbia), it's one of tough group beside Group E, England must win, if they only draw or even worst lose the match, they might not qualified to the next round.

It's an easy game for France to win and secure their place in the next round but you can not say anything because it's football and anything can happen at any time. But it is a must-win game for France to see themselves in the next round with comfort. Let see some Interesting games are coming up today.

That is a healthy price for Italy, worth jumping into.

Italy needing only 1 point puts a certain pressure on Croatia and they must win
and hope that Spain actually beat Albania. If by any slight chance the two outsiders
were to win !! goal difference would separate them.

Croatia have been disappointing in this tournament, only drawing with Albania is
never going to cut it.

Italy need to get more shots in and more shots on target if they want to win.

Italy can get a draw and that will be enough for them, so I think Spalletti will focus on playing in defense. Croatia will have no choice but to attack, because they only need a victory, and before I would have said that Croatia might have a chance to win, but now they couldn’t even beat Albania, so there’s no point in talking about a victory over Italy, I think that Italy will not lose this game.

Italy need to get more shots in and more shots on target if they want to win.
But indeed this match is quite interesting where their only chance to qualify is to win in the last match today but indeed this is a mission that is quite difficult and could even be impossible to happen especially with Croatia's condition at the euro this time which is not really going well for the problem of performance owned.

If in the end they still want to be in this competition then the last match against Italy must be a life and death match because surely Italy will also do the same thing where they don't want to be missed to get the runner-up position in this group.

For Spain and Albania I do not have any situation for this because in my opinion with the confidence that Spain has now and with 2 previous wins they will definitely be more confident even though actually losing or drawing is not a problem for them but I am sure for now Spain will try to make points perfect for them in the Euro group phase this time.

Well Croatia almost did it! but controversially Italy were given enough time to equalise
and go through to the knockouts in second place behind Spain. In fairness though It
was all to do for Croatia and relying on Albania too.

4 interesting matches tonight to decide 1st and 2nd places. I'm particularly interested
in the group D matches. France sitting in 2nd probably have the best chance to
overtake the Netherlands if they both score and win, I'm basing that on Poland being
weaker than Austria. I think I'm right in saying neither Poland or Austria can qualify
for the last 16 anyway.

If you refer to these statistics, Croatia has no chance of beating Italy, but it is very possible that the situation will be different because usually in crucial matches there is high tension and the desire to achieve the target is very big. I wouldn't eliminate Croatia too quickly and I still have confidence they will make things difficult for the Azzurri. While Italy only needs one additional point to ensure they qualify for the knockout phase, Spalletti's troops must be wary of Croatia's threat.

While I won't call that the best of performances from Italy, they tried to achieve one thing; which is sharing of points. We've seen dying minutes heart breaks in this tournament, and Croatia got theirs yesterday in the form of a 90+8 Zaccagni goal which was handed to him by Calafiori, the same player that gifted Spain their sole win when the two sides met. I guess we can say he has made up for his mistakes.
Italy show up a very poor performance yesterday match against Croatia with they start the match yesterday tonight with better performance I didn't expect that they will not win, because even through their statistics Italy dominate everything there both the possession and so on, but unable to dominate the match. They where even luck that zaccagni try put his much effort and equalized back at the of the time, if not the yesterday match will be Croatia fevor.
Quote

Croatia will be dependent on the performance of England against Slovenia as whatever the outcome will be determines if they get to play in the next round or if they will be removed.
Although are refers Croatia as a weak team but with the way they prove their performance yesterday against Italy there also in good form which in their next match they try more better than what they have play in there previous matches, because I'm expecting them to take over the second place from the Italy in table since there only ahead of the Croatia with only two points.

Sad to see Croatia crashing out of this tournament. They are a small nation (unlike the case with other European giants such as Germany, England or France), but always performed on par with the top teams in Europe. Their squad is ageing, and that maybe one of the reasons for the poor performance this time. Apart from Marco Pašalić and Luka Sučić, they don't have any young forwards in less than 25 age group. Andrej Kramarić is 33, while Luka Modrić will soon be 39.

Congratulations to Italy and Spain who today followed Germany and Switzerland into the next phase.

A super hard-fought match, I was glued to the TV with friends to watch it.
It was incredible but no one spoke in the last minutes, everyone was silent to see what could happen. What suffering.
Ok we are qualified but we need a miracle to get the plays out of the hat.

For now, it seems that only Italy has been confirmed to face Switzerland in the round of 16. Meanwhile, other teams such as Germany, Spain and Portugal are still waiting for the results of the matches that will continue today and tomorrow.

Today I might be more curious about England's match against Slovenia. I'm just curious whether England will improve in today's match. Because we know that England played below their maximum performance. because they have so many star players in their squad but their game doesn't show it. And I now hope that England shows a beautiful game against Slovenia. But if England also finds it difficult to play against Slovenia then I probably won't have much hope for England in the round of 16.
England is not playing according to their strength and did not comfortably win the matches the performance of England is shaky I don't know why this happened with that much team strength and for sure today's game of England is also to watch because it a decider for England for a next round of EURO. Slovenia will try to get themselves in a comfortable position to secure a spot in the Round of 16. For sure it is good game to watch.

France today will play against Poland and of course in my opinion this match is certainly an exciting match because of course in this match we will see the ability of Mbappe and his friends to fight to the maximum to reach 1st place in group D. But I want to ask you all whether France will win against Poland or not? but according to my predictions, France will have great potential to win against Poland, but of course the match will be fiercely competitive because of course Poland will not be easy to beat because of course every team will fight to the maximum.
...
Poland is the first team at the tournament to lose their chances of making the playoffs. This team showed terrible soccer at Euro-24. So the favorite of this match for me is obvious - it's France and they will do everything to win in order to take the first place in the group. For the first two rounds the French have not shown their full power, but I think the French will show in today's match against the Poles what they are capable of. My prediction is a win for France.

No doubt Italy did not perform up to the mark but in the end, the thing that mattered the most was to qualify for the next round and Italy did it now that Group B is closed and Spain, Italy are going to the next round.

I haven't been watching the Euros closely this year but just from first glance, I have a hunch that Portugal and England could make it far up to at least the semis...  Dunno but I feel like Gareth Southgate and Roberto Martinez are the lucky ones.  I fancy them to go to the final if their paths don't meet in the Round of 16, quarter finals or the semi finals.

And for the lulz, made a small net on a 4 leg parlay with England, France, Belgium and Portugal at 3.79.  Grin

England? That's laughable. How about Germany, Spain, Dutch Side and lastly France? I can agree for Portugal but I don't think they have a good coach who can also lead them to win this Competition.
Rating English is mad man, you can only do so when Gareth Southgate decides and selects a strong midfied because all of these charades he's been doing will honestly takr him nowhere.

My first pick right now remains Germany, and then, Dutch national side. I saw that Koeman was amongst the list of players that won the Euros years back when Germany hosted such European Competition.

I consider the Dutch side a better option than England honestly.

I also have same feelings that Germany will have upper chances in this Euro competition because they have majority of the fans in this competition and considering they are the host nation requires them to be very up and doing and so far they have shown good competition in the group stage matches but as for England, even though they have a very good squad but i doubt if England will go far if we take a close look at their previous matches there were so many lapses that should be corrected otherwise they will not find it easy in their upcoming matches. But for Portugal, they can be considered because they have been playing a very lovely game so far. So the strongest competitors may likely be between Spain, Germany and Portugal.
Gareth Southgate is an experienced manager but I don't think he can lead England to a triumphant Euro 2024 victory this year because the team are still lacking in some areas which should be checked and amendments should also be made, I commend some notable players who have been keeping the team very active in the competition, players like Harry Kane, Bukayo Saka and Phil Foden they have been very impressive for the England team so far. Hopefully they will win Slovenia in their match tonight.

What a drama there was in the Croatia - Italy match. Thanks to the last minute of extra time, Italy prevented Croatia from leaving the groups with a last-gasp goal.

Croatia did not even understand what they were facing at that moment, it was very strange because they were not expecting the referee to finish the match and they were focused on what the Italy team did. Modric missed a penalty in this match, but he made up for it with the goal he scored a few minutes later.
A heartbreak for Modric and Croatian players because Italy equalized the game and qualified for the next stage of EURO 2024. This is what football is all about. What a game both teams played and the effort from both sides was amazing.

Last night, I prefered to watch the Spain-Albania match, but my attention was constantly drawn to the Italy-Croatia match on my second screen. Particularly in the final minutes of the game, I was fully engrossed in the Croatia-Italy match, as those moments were filled with excitement. Although the first half ended goalless, Croatia took the lead in the second half with a goal from Luka Modric. However, Italy managed to equalize the score with Mattia Zaccagni’s goal in extra time, securing their spot in the last 16 rounds. Notably, Luka Modric’s goal made him the oldest player to score in the history of the tournament. Unfortunately for Croatia, this result meant they bid farewell to EURO 2024.
When Italy managed to equalize in the final minute, all the cameras immediately focused on Luka Modric's face where he looked disappointed, sad and couldn't believe what was happening. The reason is that after he was withdrawn in the 80th minute everyone believed nothing bad would happen but fate said otherwise and this is part of football.

Some stayed and some went home, but Croatia's fate was unlucky even though they needed this win to qualify as group runners up. On the other hand, Italy unexpectedly managed to take advantage of the slack in the defensive line after carrying out a counter attack and Zaccagni immediately scored with a beautiful kick. It was also seen at the end of the match that Luka Modric was chosen as MOTM but it was clear on his face that he was not at all happy with this result.

This match shows how Italy is really in bad shape, if they struggle so much to defeat a demoralized team that is almost out of the competition, I don`t dare to imagine stronger teams.
At least we qualified to play the competition, but we are not in good shape.

Patience is key
So in the end Italy managed to gain the access to the final stage and Croatia still has a very small chance to gain the access to.
It will be almost impossible for them.

I don't think Italy will have many shots in their arsenal, the team looks very weak.

with what I see Italy are not weak but trying to get back their grand, you know when you meet a team that you've heard about and you're playing against the team. It'll look as if the other team are weak but they're not but just being afraid, so Italy are fully ready to have many shots as ever in their arsenal.

For the first two rounds the French have not shown their full power, but I think the French will show in today's match against the Poles what they are capable of. My prediction is a win for France.

Poland is the smallest team on their group D because out of the two matches they have played they could not be able to win or draw any of them especially their last meeting with Australia though I not that Australia has a very strong team but if Poland was very consistent on that match they would have actually hold Australia to a draw because after Australia score the first goal it was as if Poland regain themselves abit and they started putting more efforts and before the end of the first half they has already equalize, so perhaps imagine if they had still maintain that consistency they had on the first half they would have hardly conceive the goal they did but however the penalty was actually one of the reasons why their performance became weaker.

So perhaps their match against France is certainly not going to end on the favour of Poland because France is a very strong team comprises of very experience players, so is obvious this match will end with a lot of goals because Poland does not have what it takes to challenge France and for the group B France is the best team so perhaps if others will score Poland the kind of goals they did of course France will actually do more than them.

I would say Croatia were unlucky in this match. Otherwise the team would have been able to win the match. Overall gameplay in this match was very good from both teams. Although Croatia's players attacked less, Croatia's match strategy was very good. Croatia's attacks were very sharp.

Croatia kept their defense tight after Modrich scored in the 55th minute of the second half. Italy's players could not break down Croatia's defense despite attacking a lot. But Croatia conceded a goal in the very last moment of the match. Mattia Zaccagni scored from Calafiori's pass at 90+8 minutes. And the match was drawn 1-1. Modrich's luck was really bad.
Saying unlucky in two matches is not enough to be a valid reason. There will be discussions like why the referee gave this match 8 extra minutes but Italy tried till very last to finalize the match result as a draw and control their second position. Croatia have reasons to feel regretful and painful because if they can avoid only one of two late equalizing goals from either Albania or Italy, they would have 4 points and have better chance in race with other third-positioned teams.

I felt something wrong when Modric took the penalty because he did not shot well at that spot. I am impressed on how Modric quickly corrected his mistake and scored an important goal for Croatia but now, it won't mean anything for him and Croatia in Euro 2024.

I also think when Croatia conceded a goal in the final minute it wasn't because they were unlucky but, that is proof that Italy is indeed a team with a winning mentality, because in an unfortunate situation and they didn't have much time left, Italy was still able to maintain their composure until in the end their efforts and persistence produced adorable results.
No, buddy. It was pure skill from Italy's players; the goal was not caused by a deflected ball, but by Calafiori, who had been initiating the buildup from the bottom; and, once again, it was not right to call Italy a fortunate club in that game. The goal was unlikely if Calafiori had not gambled on going up alone and then sending an assist to Zaccagni, saving Italy from losing second place.

I think before the game started, Croatia had enough pressure to get the win because that was the only way for them to qualify for the next round. When they seemed to be able to make it happen, Croatia instead looked nervous and couldn't keep their composure.
Croatia has no problem with the pressures came from italy ,but it's modric's failure to execute the penalty has become a reason why croatia was not winning the game.

Poland has a very weak defense, and it will be very difficult for them against France, but France scored only 1 goal in two matches, which is also not similar to the result that we are used to seeing before. Poland will try to get at least one point, so no one will want to return home with zero, but it will be very difficult to withstand France in this state. The odds for France to win are very small, so you can think about TO.
France will beat Poland because there's no reason for Poland to win, they already know almost impossible can qualify to the next round, all of them crying when they lose against Austria.

And for the lulz, made a small net on a 4 leg parlay with England, France, Belgium and Portugal at 3.79.  Grin
Although they're strong, but they might make you upset especially England and Portugal, they already in safe zone, so they might likely play without motivation and they might lose or draw. But, I hope I'm wrong because I want to see you win. Cheesy
