The Euro's seem to have taken a twist ever since it was goals galore for the opening games for teams like Germany, Spain etc...just today Group E has already recorded some serious upsets which saw Ukraine fall to Romania 3nil, and another game which very few of us saw coming was Belgium losing to win Slovakia despite the fire power at their disposal...am expecting some serious fireworks in matchday 2 has teams try to get their first 3 points or secure their group stage pass... otherwise so far I don't see a clear favourite but like how France is playing at the moment.
I am liking the way this competition is going, because at this moment, there is still no clear favorites to win the tournament because the France some people are hoping on just managed to escape draw against Austria, they are very lucky for the own goal because Austria was very good and they look prepared for the match because they dominated the match and recorded more ball possession and tried to mount equal pressure with France because they have the same number of attempts on goals.

Another surprising result was the Belgium match against Slovakia. Belgium who happen to be among the top teams with highest number of experienced players lost their first group stage match, I think their chances are not as before because their group looks easy, but with this performance they need to win their next matches.

Although the scoreline in the France vs Austria match was not what many would have expected, it is okay to say the game was an interesting and exciting one, with France doing more of the pressing as is expected and Austria doing their best too.
You can say that this three points is necessary to give them a sort of equal standing with Netherlands that's why they were not so bothered that they could not make use of their chances but then, seeing that Austria were a bit shaky in the major part of the game, those who had betted with the option of over 2.5 goals will be more unimpressed at this result.
Austria get to face Denmark in their next meeting and I'm wondering if Ralph Radnick and his boys will be able to rectify this poor start or will the Danes use that game to get a three points.

I thought in the first match of Group E, Ukraine would easily win against Romania today, but the opposite happened, and Romania won a very comfortable 3-0 victory over Ukraine. I was really impressed with Dragus’ performance for Romania. On the other hand, Stanciu scored one of the best goals so far at EURO 2024. Ukraine’s performance was quite poor; I think they made their first accurate shot in the 76th minute.
Yes, everything is beyond predictions. I think Ukraine can win tonight's game, or at least score one goal. They controlled the game, but did not produce good results. Likewise Belgium, they controlled the game but had few shots on goal. The odds given before the match were actually for Slovakia, and the Handicap +1/1.5. I was lucky enough to have the courage to take it. But it is still involved in many other matches. Lol
I guess no one expected Slovakia to defeat Belgium. In my opinion, it was the biggest surprise of the tournament so far. Also, it was unexpected that Romania won the championship with such an overwhelming advantage over Ukraine. This is a great morale boost for Romania for the other matches. Additionally, if Belgium suffers another defeat, they will leave the tournament. The second matches will be very critical matches.

I agree with you; the biggest surprises of the tournament so far have been in Group E. If Belgium suffers another defeat, they may not be eliminated because they can still qualify out of the group as the third-placed team. However, this situation would make their job harder. Considering today’s performances, it is possible that Ukraine will finish last in the group, and Belgium will end up third.

In the match between Austria and France, to be honest, I was quite confused whether in the end Austria was that good or maybe France's performance was less effective because looking at what is happening now, it seems like these two teams are quite balanced, even though Austria is losing quite a bit in possession of the ball and opportunities, but so far France quite difficult to carry out attacks.

This is clearly a little bad for France because they are favorites in today's match but their performance does not seem to show that they are one of the champion candidates now.
60 minutes have passed and currently the score has not changed because only 1 Wober own goal has not changed.

I think if France wants to show that they are favorites at the moment then Rangnick has to look for some alternative schemes to show that France is one of the candidates to win the euro this time.
Just enjoy the game, sit back and relax on the sofa - I think you'll see France win this game even if it's just by an own goal. Depending on how they score the goal [own goal or not], in fact France will also get 3 points if they are able to secure the lead until the end of the match.

It is not easy to determine which country will win the Euro 2024 title – even if Germany, Spain, Italy, England or others are favorites – that is not a guarantee of reality. The match scenario is very difficult to imagine - underdog can sometimes be better, so this is what we expect in Euro.

France are always one of the favourites to win the Euro,Their players and the teams spirit that is always in them used to make them have a successful tournament.
And secondly, they have players who can make things happen, players who can decide a match for them, somebody like Mbape and other big stars. It will be upto the their coach to choose the right people that will be on the pitch for each match. If he chooses people who will make them lose, then it's their problem, bit I believe since he has been winning tittles for the country, this time around won't be an exception, they will always do the right thing by the time they continue playing together.

Yo, this is an interesting bet and I'm going to be in on it.

Seeing the condition of the opponent, especially Mbappe, who is still very good and the belief that France will win this match, I think x3.50 is a very decent odds.

This time France is very favored, Austria is not a new name but with the difference in strength I am quite sure that in this match France will win by 2.5 goals. With the odds that Mbappe scored a goal, of course it would be a shame if he just let him go Grin
There is such a strong temptation to such high odds, many gamblers are unlikely to pass up the opportunity. But either way, Austria may not be underestimated in terms of the way they defend or control the pressure. France has a good squad and has quality attacking players, but until the first half almost ended, no goals had been scored.

Of course there is still a lot of time to wait to see if Mbappe actually scores a goal when he is deployed as a centre-forward, but this possibility looks likely to become real if France increase their attacking intensity.  Kylian Mbappe scored 9 goals and 5 assists in the 2023-2024 euro qualifiers in 8 appearances, so he is very likely to score again in the group stages.

For another match at the moment, Belgium against Slovakia will also be quite interesting, but it's a little difficult for me to feel confident because even though Belgium's strength in terms of players is quite good, in the end their teamwork is also questionable.

Now the match is almost over and Belgium is still struggling to equalize the score. This is quite outrageous.
I was surprised by Belgium's defeat against Slovakia. Belgium dominated the game and attacks, but Slovakia really managed to prevent conceding and maximize their chances. Slovakia won 0-1 against Belgium, this is good capital for the next match against Ukraine.

I didn't expect Ukraine to win comfortably, but I didn't expect Romania to play so comfortably as well. Romania used their chances very well and didn't concede a goal against the strong Ukrainian forwards. After being winless in the last 2 tournaments, Romania managed to win in the Euros after a long time. Now things are complicated in this group, Ukraine has made its own job very difficult. If Belgium, which is currently behind, loses points to Slovakia, the balance will change dramatically. It will be a very different picture than expected.

Belgium lost points to Slovakia, resulting in a messy situation in Group E. Like everyone else, I expected Belgium to win; however, Slovakia pulled off a big surprise by beating Belgium 1-0. Today has been a day full of surprises in Group E. Despite Belgium having 60% possession and taking more than 13 shots, they failed to score.

Belgium 0 : 1 Slovakia (HT)

The first half result between Belgium vs Slovakia was an unsurprising result. Without Courtois, he would not be able to withstand the opponent's attacks. The risk of not calling Courtois in the first place was already a big mistake for them. Initially looking at group E, it was assumed that Belgium would qualify easily, but in my opinion it was the opposite, Romania, Ukraine and Slovakia had surprises that Belgium would definitely not easily overcome.
Doku, De Bruyne and Lukaku on the front line are quite ideal because the combined attack pillars of these three players can be very effective, but it comes back to whether these three players can find a match with each other to break through the opponent's goal. In the second half Belgium should have been able to catch up, 1 goal could still be achieved and Slovakia appeared more aggressive to secure the score.

This group E matches really surprise me because the result I was expecting is not what I saw, I was expecting Ukraine and Belgium to win but unfortunately the lost the which I felt sad, the funniest thing the both teams dominated every important aspect of the game except goal, Belgium will not be happy with the two goals that was disallowed, I wasn't amazed with Lukaku performance because of the two big chances missed.

Austria vs France

It just 20 minutes of the game and France are try to take a lead by 2 shots and also 2 chances created, I really want winning for France because I want them to top the group which means they need more them Netherlands that already secured two goals and conceded one, that means they need atleast 3 to nothing to stay at the top.

Belgium and Lukaku are really very unfortunate and it's hard to believe. Two Belgian goals were always disallowed which forced them to swallow the bitter pill. Slovakia really welcomed this quite important victory and it was good capital for them. Indeed, the Euro drama looks like it will continue and make this tournament always get more attention.

Belgium was so unfortunate against Slovakia this night after Romelu Lukaku's goals were disallowed by the Virtual Assistant Referee (VAR) though the first goal was disallowed due to an offside in the 56th minutes of play then 30 minutes later in the 86th minutes, Lukaku's goal was again disallowed by VAR after spotting a previously committed fowl which left the Belgian side devastated over the unfortunate scenarios.

The Belgian team tried their best in this game tonight but what I saw was just that they were so unlucky however, the Slovakian defenders were able to defend the goal till they ended in full time, the early goal that Belgium conceded in the 7th minute led to their lost in this game. Though Slovakia isn't also an easy team but their squad can't be compared with that of the Belgium squad, a lot of gamblers must have staked on Belgium to win since they are the stronger side but it is what it is.

Slovakia isn't a weak side that we would have expected the Belgium side to dominate the game and not conceive an early goal if it were to be that courtois was in the goalie. The early leaf by Slovakia was an opportunity which presented itself and they had to take it. Casteels has made number of saves in the first half particularly that precised  volley kick in the 40th minutes.
I think it was still a shocking and disappointing defeat to Belgium to be frank, the Belgium team is slowly degrading but I hope they maybe able to go far in the tournament.

With the presence of KDB, Lukaku and Doku in the frontline I had thought they would give a reply to that early goal from Slovakia before the end HT. Although Belgium has absolutely had some good chances but they are all getting ruined and frustrated by the brilliance of the Slovakian defenders. Coming back to the second half the trio must intensify their campaign against the Slovakian defense to grease  in a goal into behind the net, in any worse result a 1:1 draw could be commended.

Actually this is among the main reason it is Shocking especially since KDB was in that match, who usually find ways to get a goal even when it's difficult for the strikers/attackers at City. Lukaku goal that was ruled out really hit him especially from the fact that he actually performed poorly

This was really unexpected. I thought the match would be won by a narrow score by Ukraine or at least end in a draw but it turned out that Romania was the one who won the big victory. Even though Ukraine appeared more dominant, but they had difficulty breaking down the Romanian defense who really played very disciplined, and had solid defensive coordination. There was also a surprise in the match between Belgium and Slovakia, where Slovakia managed to win with a score of 1-0.

It's quite surprising that Belgium hadn't scored to equalize Slovakia up to this moment(88), it is just few minutes to the stoppage time of the second half.
This year's Euro League hosted in Germany will come with surprises that the countries we bet to win, would end up disappointing us with match defeats. Who could thought of this, Belgium finds it difficult to score a goal against Slovakia after having well well-known classic players like Kelvin De Bruyne, Doku, and Lukaku in their squad of players. It is unbelievable that it's going to end as a defeat for Belgium
Well these are the suprises wins that many gamblers have been talking about because from the onset of the competition it's also as if all the teams were just winning their games as expected but many were still skeptical about this event that is playing out now. Well Belgium became the team to lose to big odd and not only them too as Ukraine also lost their game to Romania which themselves were have 5.00 odds to win that game.

Mbappe is captain of the team and he is probably the best offensive player of the european championship. I think we will us show that in the next 90 minutes and he will score a goal, he doesnt need many chances for that, so a bet on that is also a good chance. I am a bit surprised that Coman and Tchouameni dont play from the beginning, but Dembele and Thuram are also very strong players. I am happy to see france play now, the favorit of this tournament.

This is indeed a sad moment for Remelu Lukaku and his team mates. Two cancelled goals from Lukaku that would have led the team to win the match. It’s quite unfortunate and an unexpected defeat from a team they never expected to lose against. Well, that’s football for you, and Belgium now have to do put extra effort to win their last matches before qualifying to the next round, I am very sure they can win Ukraine and Romania.

Overall up to 90 minutes does not include additional minutes (7 minutes) given, Belgium plays poorly. Although not dominant, Slovakia is far more disciplined than Belgium.
Analytically in all that transpired throughout the second half on the pitch, it would be very unfair to conclude that Belgium played poorly in this match despite their defeat. It was a whole moment of dazzling hard luck for the Belgians having their supposed two goals ruled-out for an offside and the other for a handball. On the other hand, It's however, very impressive with how Slovakia were able to repel the dangerous and rich quality squad of the Belgium team reducing their efforts to nothing. Their fans would be proud of them tonight for insuring 3points in their first game.

An unexpected twist unfolded as Ukraine, the favored team, suffered a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Romania. And yess.. Despite commanding a staggering 72% possession, Ukraine failed to their dominance into goals, a stark contrast to Romania's clinical display on the field. Ukraine's defense was reminiscent of a sieve, and their goalkeeper seemed oblivious to impending threats from Romania’s counterattacks; two exquisite strikes from outside the box underscored Romania’s attacking prowess. Mudryk, typically a standout player for Ukraine, offered little support this time around. The narrative paints Romania as the dark horse in Group E, further reinforced by Belgium's surprising loss to Slovakia (0-1). With such results, both Romania and Slovakia could emerge as formidable contenders within the group, injecting more tension and surprises into this tournament.
Probably the first truly unexpected result was the defeat of Belgium. Slovakia are a good team, but Belgium were clear favorites going into this match, they scored twice and Slovakia were saved twice by VAR, and Dubravka did it many more times. Ukraine also surprised me, at first I was surprised at how high the odds for Romania are - 4.3, which is too much, but I thought it might be a draw, but I never expected such a defeat. I also expected a much better game from Lunin, two long-range goals in one match are too many.

A surprise occurred, Ukraine, which was previously predicted to win the match, was defeated by Romania with a score of 3-0, it was useless for them to dominate the match with ball possession reaching 72%. Romania played more effectively, they were able to convert chances very well, even though we realized that on paper Ukraine was the favourite. Ukraine defense line looked very porous, their goalkeeper was also very unreliable, they failed to anticipate the counter-attack created by the Romanian players. I think the two goals from outside the penalty box were very beautiful, Mudryk couldn't do much to help his team this time. It looks like Romania will be the surprise team in Group E, because Belgium in the end also lost surprisingly to Slovakia with a score of 0-1.
