The first match is not always a point of comparison, especially if you compare it with Germany, it is very inappropriate. Euro just started and there have already been 12 goals in last three matches. That's the excitement of the Euros! However, the game between the game Spain vs. Croatia match was unexpected. I thought Croatia was a strong team, but they were out of the game by halftime. Croatia had most of the ball, but Spain took their chances and Croatia didn't. That's how the game goes. Croatia has been strong for years, but it looks like their time might be over, unlike Spain! A lot of surprises might be ahead.

I also agree with you, maybe this is the first half, but if you look at the 3 goals, it is still very ideal in a football match, especially in a big competition which is held every 4 years, especially what happened between Spain vs Croatia. I bet on under but in fact it was over 2.5, this was really unexpected considering that their matches rarely resulted in goals.
Maybe it's true because the first leg is still fresh so there are lots of surprises.

Among these teams, Italy had a most difficult first match in Euro 2024. They got a conceded goal in a half of first minute by a mistake of Di Marco, later they quickly equalized and scored a second goal to lead Albania. However at the 90th minute, Albania got a great chance to equalize the match but Donnarumma saved Italy and three points are important for Italy to avoid disadvantage in their race with Spain and Croatia. If Albania equalize the match, it will be a terrible first match for Italy.

Croatia had a bad first match in this Euro but they have two more matches to find a ticket to move next. Beating Albania and Italy will open a gate for Croatia to move next and with their strong mentality, they will not give up early. Honestly I am surprised by Croatia in a way they let Spain scored first three goals without much fighting back.

Euro 2024 has just started, we can see that big teams are able to dominate their opponents, Germany, Spain, Switzerland and Italy managed to secure victory in their first matches. Spain performance was certainly very surprising, their level of play was increasing and they managed to dominate the match well. Croatia, which was strengthened by several high-class star players, was unable to get its team out of pressure. The compactness and equal quality of players on all lines meant that Croatia was unable to penetrate Spain very strong defense.

The new strength of the Spanish national team is starting to form with a combination of players from different generations. Yeah I noticed that too, usually in matches like this there are fewer goals around 2 goals but this time it was quite different at least 3 goals in each match. By the way, I have not favored any team to win this tournament but I can predict several teams will reach the semi-finals. I might be underestimating France due to their recent performances and the lack of standout players in top European teams. They also need a leader with experience as a captain or in similar roles on a top team. After one or two games, I'll reassess their potential for the tournament. So far, Germany is not looking bad, especially with a mix of experienced players and new talent.

Italy defeated Albania 2-1 in its first match at Euro 2024. Nedim Bajrami of Albania scored the fastest goal in Euro history within the first minute of the match. Italy quickly equalized with a goal from Alessandro Bastoni in the 11th minute. Nicolò Barella then put Italy ahead with a goal in the 16th minute, winning the win for his team. Next, Italy will face Spain, while Albania will go up against Croatia.

Italy were not able to show their strength as Germany did yesterday but we were able to see how strong they are because not every nation will be a goal down and be able to win the match. Italy did not start the game well so they were always chasing the game but they were able to score two goals to win the game against Albania that scored at the very 1st minute of the match. All the three goals of the game came in the first half because Italy also scored two quick goals in the first half and the rest of the match was just boring and flat because no other goals came in. I thought Spain was also going to show Croatia that they are a strong nation by scoring more goals since they got three goals in the first half but that were also the only goals that came in their match.

Spain team can perform very well in the beginning, because Spain team is strong enough so far. As Croatia have performed poorly at this point, the attacking department of the Croatia team is weak as they have been unable to score on several occasions. Spain's players scored three goals before halftime, but later attacks did not try hard enough. But in the end, Croatia team was busy enough to score, but due to weak attack department, Croatia team was not successful in scoring.

When I saw Italy's final squad for the UEFA Euros Championship, I concluded that there's no way the current squad will be able to defend the European title that they won four years ago. Without disrespecting Albania, i find it surprising to see that they were the first team to score in that game. Italy in my own opinion should've had a more convincing win than the 2:1 win they got but unfortunately for them, their performance wasn't strong enough to get them a better result than the one they got.
With today's win, Italy I believe are surely gonna make it out if the group stage but if they should meet a strong team in the knockout stages of the competition, I think they're likely going to be defeated. We're still at the early stages of the competition and considering the results so far we're yet to experience any surprising result.

Although I was actually predicting a Spain win in their opening match against a Croatia, I wasn’t expecting such a score line. A three goals deficit to me is a very bad result to start with in a group I will personally call the group of death. The game was going on well and even more balance until Spain got a two quick goals which to me was what weakened the Croatians.

The other game having the defending champions go against the first timers Albania was something most people had predicted on with Italy believe to hammer them. The 22 second goal conceded by the Italians actually wanted to change the narrative of the game. The Albanians actually wanted to capitalized on that early advantage and were brilliant against Italy in the first half. People still blame Italy for not scoring lots of goals but they fail to understand that had Italy came all out after conceding they would have been left exposed at the back and they could get hit with.

The group is still much opened with Spain having the advantage for me but that doesn’t mean anything. They need to win against Albania to cement their position in the next round. One thing is maybe the three clubs might be going through with the third place going for the last 16

I am shocked just as you are, and don't get me wrong but this goal ratio is just so alarming for me and that's why am a bit shocked I mean it's just 4-5 games played and the goals scored in these fixtures is just something else I mean I can't believe that the goals will start coming so early like this and for the teams I support I think France is one of my stronghold as I feel they can replicate their success and make their way to the finals.

Italy - Albania ended with a 2-1 victory for Italy, who thus got their first three points and hooked Spain at the top of the table. The match had started with a real shock for the Italians, Di Marco did something truly indescribable by passing the ball to Bejrami 22 seconds into the match. Then slowly Italy pulled themselves together and found victory with goals from two Inter players Bastoni and Barella.

I was expecting the same in this match because of the difference in quality and level so this could be a match that is indeed easy for Italy and can get more than 2 goals but indeed what happened on the field seems to be different from expectations.

Although indeed in this match they got 3 points but I am personally not satisfied with what they got in this match.
Italy controlled the match because from ball possession and opportunities they were far superior but indeed their finishing was not too good and the defense from Albania which indeed kept almost all of its players in the defense area made the score unchanged until the end.
At least they won and this is a plus but when it comes to the condition and performance of the players especially for finishing, it looks like Spalletti will have to rack his brains again now because their effectiveness is still not visible in this match.

Tonight Euro 2024 Italy vs Albania. it's was really an intertaining one because looking at the both countries one couldn't believe that Albania will give Italy a though time in this game, however I think among all the hole games that were played today it is this Italy and Albania is the most thoughest match of the day, although even the opening ceremony yesterday was not really entertained as this. however despite their losing I think they really played very well in this game.

Good 1st half game and an avarage second half but they won anyway and now they are in a very good spot to gain the access for the next stage.

Spain is really showing that they are the favorites in this tournament. They beat a seriously strong team like Croatia very comfortably scoring 3 goals in the first half. If they needed to score more goals, they would have done that too. Germany and Spain started the tournament very well. Lamine Yamal was the youngest player to play and to get an assist. It's hard to believe he's still only 16. He has played a complete game this season and is performing as well as if he has been playing for years. He had no difficulties in the national team.
On the other hand, despite the win, I didn't like how Italy play, they struggled against Albania. I wonder how they will do against stronger opponents. It looks like Spain and Italy will advance together in this group. But Croatia will also want to recover in the remaining matches and get out of the group. Their match against Italy will be very competitive and will probably determine the order in the group.
