I think the result of the opening game is already obvious. Germany shouldn't be in big trouble against Scotland. Even a win by at least 2 goals wouldn't surprise me at all. Germany don't have a very challenging group in the first place though. Switzerland and Hungary are also much weaker on paper. What Germany are expected to do is to finish the group in the lead.

Let's say they finished like that, then their competitor in last 16 is going to be the 2nd in Group C. It would probably be Denmark. So theoretically I already see Germany in the quarter finals unless there is a surpise.  Tongue

The first game should not be very difficult for Germany to win, they have to win it to show that they should not be underestimated. With the big names and experienced players like Neuer, Kimmich, Rudiger, Kroos, Gundogan etc, they have a good balance. Scotland should not be underestimated because they also have some strong names in their list like McTominay and McGinn, but generally, their is more experience with the German side, and experience can really matter a lot.

I predict Germany to win scotland 3-1, Havertz to score.
The problem I find with the German team is that every time they are part of a competition,  regardless of a good or bad run they always find themselves to be among the favourites and unfortunately in the last couple of months am not really convinced to say these have a strong team to go all the way...they might survive the group stage but this isn't a strong team generally speaking!!

Btw, Scotland shouldn't be written off easily because these have an above average team and the Germans could be caught napping if they don't play their game right..but being hosts this should give them the extra confidence to win games.

My prediction Germany win 2-0.

I expect Germany to win in Germany. I don't expect them to draw with Scotland. There are 3 matches the next day. Another match that caught my attention will be Spain-Croatia. Both teams have very important players. This match will end with Spain's victory, I believe. I'm curious about Lamal's performance in Spain. Another one will be Arda Güler in our national team. I'm also curious about Arda Güler's performance. Real Madrid players will attract everyone's attention in this tournament.
Germany will probably win the first match as hosts against Scotland based on my analysis. They are more favored in terms of player material and are supported by more dominant fans.
Another match between Spain and Croatia will also be interesting.

The two matches (Germany vs Scotland and Spain vs Croatia) will be fast and tight.
Spain, in my opinion, will also win over Croatia tomorrow even though Croatia is also a very creative team.
The match between Hungary vs Switzerland is also good to include in the betting list.
Scotland have been struggling to reach major tournaments in recent years and now they finally got a spot to participate in this summer's UEFA Euros Championship, they unfortunately found themselves in a group that's made up of heavyweight football teams. Their first game of the tournament will be against host nation Germany which will also serve as the kickoff game of the tournament will be played tomorrow and I don't think the British nation stands a chance of getting a draw talk more of a win in that game. Germany will definitely win the game with ease because they possess a very strong squad compared their Scottish counterparts.
The other game of the group A will be between Hungary and Switzerland and I think that's the game that'll be difficult to predict the outcome because any of the teams are capable of beating each other. The wait for the Euros Championship have long overdue and I can't wait for the official kickoff.

Germany is notably a better team here to bet on than Scotland, but Scotland on their side isn't a team to let down too, as it has been a long time since both teams met, but despite the majority of people taking side on Germany to win, I don't think it will change the fact that they're in a better position to win this game because Germany has a good record over their opponent team Scotland and which they've met 17 times, where we have Germany won 8 out the 17 game, whereas Scotland is Four, so it is obvious that the Germany side got a good record against Scotland.
In that opening game on Friday evening between Germany vs Scotland it is conspicuous that everything points to the favor of Germany even if we have to remove the fact that they are the host country in this tournament. The Germany team regardless of their performances in the friendlies especially in their last game with Greece , they are better fit and in higher form than their opponent Scotland who have injury players at the moment with their midfielder Stuart Armstrong just returning from injury recently to join in training and have not played an active match since April. A lot of factors to consider here and not that am underrating Scotland in that game.

Sounds like easy money on Germany tomorrow in the opening game as I highly doubt they will permit another surprise result again making all fans go mad in rage,I know anything can happen yet I think Germany it will be a serious contender for the title this time and therefore the bookies should be prepared to lose a lot of money at least in the opening game with Germany.

I also think that most games talk to us for making us money, meaning they are heavily one sided in theory yet I have seen the games of Italy in friendlies and they barely scored a not so easy goal against Bosnia and Herzegovina during their last game.Of course Albania is not a strong contender as they are just here in the Euro for the second time in history yet this time they made head news during qualifying as they qualified first above Czech and Poland which are both in the Euro, not an easy game for me despite bookies saying 1.37 for Italy.

Can you share the data that form this analysis? I feel like this sidelined a lot of things such as group stage, overall team performance, match-ups, etc. I'm not sure how motivated Mbappe and other brilliant players to win individual awards, but I doubt it affects how other countries perform in other groups. I guess you can also redefine what is considered an underdog season. I believe any underdog exists in every competition, but they won't make it past the semis in most scenarios. Even qualifying past the group stage can be an incredible achievement depending on which teams you're looking at.

Btw, I believe you accidentally made a double post. You can delete the previous one since it respond to the same post.
Underdog teams from clubs to national teams don't appear too often. In Euro, we can recall some underdogs like Denmark, Czech, Greece and in Coppa America we can recall Chile but they don't usually appear and win Euro title or Coppa America title.

Strength of a team from club to national level, comes from many players and coach team, a single star player is hard to carry a whole weak team to success and title. Modern football is different than decades ago when one star player with a magnificent tournament was able to carry his team to title. In modern football, a star player is only a piece of a team that need to be strong as a block and not only eleven debut players but alternative players on bench too. With latest changes in total substitutions for each match since Covid-19 pandemic, importance of alternative players becomes bigger. If a team don't have good alternative players, it's more difficult to succeed against competitors.

Yes, it is absolutely true. Gone are the times when only one player could actually carry the whole team. Now it is more like a great player is the one around whom the team is built. If you have a great player in the squad, you do not think that he is going to score 5 goals alone. You think about how you can use them the best so that the team can benefit. Sometimes coaches also use that one player as bait so that other players can score.

We all know that football has become a lot more physical nowadays. So you need to have a good squad with a good depth as well. Otherwise, if one or two players get injured, which is very likely to happen by the way, the team is going to have a very bad time.

Portugal in Group F and the opponent teams seems not an easy group behind Georgia as the debut national teams success qualifying to Euro 2024 and has two difficult opponent teams Turkiy and Czech Republic national teams.
First match, Portugal will face Czech Republic and the winning on friendly match against Ireland as good opportunity to secure first three points and make easily for leading the Group F standings position, has difficult opponent teams for Portugal against Turkiy on second matches in Euro 2024 but getting two consecutives winning will make automatically qualified to 16 of round.
Cristiano Ronaldo on confidence performance for the first match after success scoring two goals against Ireland last match, will be the sweet memorize for him on the last appearance in Euro 2024?

Group F teams

  • Turkey
  • Georgia
  • Portugal
  • Czech Republic
Portugal, which is in group F, may have the potential to qualify from group qualification. But not because this is a group filled with easy teams. Because there are Türkiye and the Czech Republic which are also quite strong. but indeed Portugal has a FIFA Rank above these three teams. Georgia is at the bottom of the FIFA rankings. But the quality of the national team may be different from their ranking in FIFA. So the results will remain difficult to predict.

But maybe we are all optimistic that Portugal will be able to qualify from this group stage. And actually I want to see Cristiano Ronaldo get sweet memories at Euro 2024. Because maybe this could be his last Euro with the Portuguese national team.

Let's be honest, we all want Cristiano Ronaldo to have a good memory with his national team and that’s why we all want to see Portugal too well in the competition. Even those who are not big fans of Cristiano Ronaldo agree that the way his career is turning out right now is actually not something we expected and also not something that is Fair. Probably we all also agree that as one of the best players in the world, he deserves to have some good memories at the end of his career.

By the way, I also think that Portugal will be a bit qualified from this group. Does not seem to be so hard of a group for them to qualify from. But we have seen a lot of surprises happening in football. So I don’t think we can say anything for certain.

The opening match of group B will start with Spain vs Croatia. One of the matches I am curious about in group B. Croatia finished in 2nd place in the qualifiers in the same group as Turkey. Croatia might be aiming to stand out in this tournament with their roster and playing practices. They didn't perform very well in the qualifiers but I can say that they have an experienced team. Spain, on the other hand, made a difference in the friendlies, especially on the offensive line, and I think they will adopt an up tempo game plan throughout the tournament. Spain will be the side that starts the game well and they are likely to start the first game in the group with a win.

Looking at the current Portugal squad, I also have full hopes for them at this Euro, because Portugal has top players and good talents from the back line to the attackers, such as Ruben Dias, Pepe, Bruno Fernandes, Joao Palhinha, Ruben Neves, Bernardo Silva, as well as Diogo Jota and C. Ronaldo, especially many of the new generation from Portugal who are very talented and have extraordinary hard work.

With this, I think Portugal is one of the favorites to win the Euro this time because with very good players they also have a very professional coach, namely Roberto Martínez, with this there is a big possibility that Portugal will win the Euro title this time year.

Hoping they do well and work as teammates should do. Portugal and Germany are the two sides I'm picking to win the European Competitions.
At least, they have enough experience in this Competition, I mean the players have seen so many finals from them various club level and has high ratings within them clubs.
It's time for Roberto Martinez the former Everton coach to draw up a good formation for the squad. They finished them friendly games in a stellar style ahead of the kick off tommorow.

As for Germany, having Emre Can, Toni Kroos and Gundogan can bring balance, I'm not shocked they'll go far in this Competition truthfully..

Germany which is the host of this year Euro is of course very benefited to be able to play in front of millions of their supporters, so it is quite feasible for us to risk a little money for a German victory, besides that Scotland is certainly not the favorite team that can indeed beat Germany at the moment, because I think the squad they currently have is still far below the squad owned by Germany, Although the majority of players owned by Scotland play in the Premier League team, but if we compare it with the squad owned by Germany, of course it is difficult for them to be able to compete and beat Germany in the opening match later.

The two teams have of course met twice so far and the victory is still dominated by Germany every game they play, so I think the same thing will happen again at the euro this season, the squad that Germany has this season is so different from their old squad, and that it does give hope for Germany to go far in the euro this season, the combination of young players and senior players certainly makes Germany very worthy of being the favorite.

Yeah Scotland can't be underestimated, although German is full of star players and they have better recent result than Scotland, but Scotland was having good result during EURO qualification, they're not lose against England, Spain and Norway.

On other hand, German sometime perform bad and not like what people were expect, it's definitely possible the match will ends up in a draw.
The last match with Greece also did not add much optimism before the start of the EURO. Germany was barely able to snatch victory in the last minutes, and the game was without a big advantage for the hosts. Scotland and Switzerland are teams that are capable of playing very well, but Germany do not have the most difficult group, and considering that they will be playing at home this should add strength to them. So far, I don’t see that Negelsman was able to improve the team’s performance.
Germany is still capable of giving surprises because they are having few good players which can make difference with home conditions are also favourable for them even Julian Nagelsmann is having early days with things could be on track in coming months in their group stage they could be at the top and no team is going to stop them with Switzerland is going to have second spot because they are good enough for this Scotland is having no good chances even they are also having recently good improvement, but things are not favourable for them.

There are still rumours about the future of the Julian Nagelsmann with most chances he will leave, and we will have Jürgen Klopp even there is no certainty about this but still things can go for this.

Actually Portugal has little to worry here except from Czech Republic who had a really decent stat in their qualifying and throughout last year, aside them Portugal has little to worry after all Portugal are among the title favourites.

They already have the team to capable to match every other team they plays against and this time I think they are having  a stronger winning mentality from the fact that Ronaldo came to this competition with a good record and not like what we experienced in the last nations tournament.
On paper, no doubt Portugal and Czech will qualify for the next round.

But, Turkey was making people surprised during EURO qualification, they can beat Croatia and Wales, it was really crazy. Although, the recent performance from Turkey were really terrible, but I still give a chance for them.

Georgia has no hope, they only have Kvaratskhelia.
I have been feeling these sides are not only strong on paper they are also good sides with having good chance of qualification for the next round because Turkey is having not good performance and as they are having recent results most chances they will be ended on third spot because Portugal and Czech both can beat them.

Turkey is having few good players with they are also capable of giving surprises but in last few months we are having decline into their performance which is surely matter of concern for them with they need to fix their problems which are creating problems for them Georgia is the weakest side in this group with we can expect some interesting game between Turkey vs Czech but still I have personal feeling things are not good for them.

Portugal is placed in an easy group, and qualifying to the next phase should be very easy for them. They were really good in the match against Republic of Ireland today. More importantly, Cristiano Ronaldo once again proved that age is just a number, with two superb goals. Portugal had an ideal mix of experienced players and younger ones for this match, and the attack was being led by João Félix and Rafael Leão in addition to Ronaldo.

Yes agree with you: Portugal is placed in an easy group, that lucky one.
clearly this also puts pressure on them, they have to prove something and if they make a false step the failure becomes double... there are always pros and cons

Looking at the current condition of the club and taking into account the strengths and players, Portugal's potential is very large now when compared to other teams.
Portugal is currently quite complex from players on every line because looking at some of the names brought for the euro this time the Portuguese players are really above average.

Defensively they have some great players who have been in high European competition like Dallot, Cancelo, Pepe or Mendes, in midfield they have some creative players like Vitinha, Bruno and of course Bernardo. For the attack they have Felix, Jota and Cristiano not to mention their young players who are currently in prime condition Leao who indeed sees from the depth of the current squad Portugal is really very good and terrible to see it's just that teamwork is clearly important and Portugal always has problems that make the players sometimes underestimated.

For the group stage I think Portugal will be very comfortable to qualify for the next phase but for other clubs there are also several

Well without a doubt Portugal squad is pretty dope and that's even with exception of Ronaldo because with age already against him, I doubt he will be given that much of play time even by the coach although he is still the captain of the national team but with the competition going red hot, the tempto would be a lot a whole lot tense for him to actually meet up, the issue where we like it or not age is really getting and catching up Ronaldo and his game too is affected and this same too for his American counterpart.

I would say that Portugal "should" be able to do quite well, not saying that they will, but they are a better team than both Turkey and Czechia, of course it's football and we could always see a worse team beat a better team, and yes the levels are quite close to each other so there isn't really a huge difference, but it is still Portugal that would be ranked the best team in that group, so they should finish top in that group, at worst case second.

I believe that Portugal will be first, and there is a good chance Turkey could be second if their individual talents show up, they have some great players individually but they look terrible as a team, if players show off then they could actually make it to second place as well.
