Why do you think Spain is the favorite? I gave the statistics of the Spanish national team since 2014 and if not for the third place of the Spanish national team in 2020, it turns out that out of 5 World/European Championships, Spain in 2 cases did not get out of the group, and in another two cases fell out in the 1/8 finals. Sorry but that is not a very convincing argument. Greece had not won a tournament in a very long time before they won the European Championship in 2004. England has not won any titles in a very long time (World Cup winner in 1966), but do you think they are among the favorites? Oh yes, they are!

Calling Spain an underdog is just wrong, so wrong! You would call Italy an underdog as well I guess, again wrong! Italy only got 14 points out of their 8 games, but still for me they are among the wider circle of favorites. I wouldn't even call Belgium an underdog simply because they are too good to be labeled an "underdog". Austria is an underdog and Denmark.

And one more thing about Italy: be at least fair with the facts. It triggers me when people talk stuff that is plain wrong and they don't even take the time to look up the facts. But no problem, I did the job for you:

It is in German, but I am pretty sure you can understand and interpret the stats. Italy beat Spain in the penalty shootout after being close to defeat because Spain upstaged them almost the full 90 minutes, but we know Italy is at least good at defending.

In the final, Italy was indeed the better team against England, yet won another penalty shootout. Does that make them a favorite while it doesn't make Spain a favorite? That's quite confusing.

Let's have a one last look to the groups before Euro 2024 starts... 



Group A: I expect Germany to finish in the 1st place. Switzerland are my favourite for the 2nd place.
Group B: Spain for the 1st place. I think Italy's job won't be easy against Croatia so I'm giving Croatia a slightly bigger chance to qualify. 
Group C: England for the lead and Denmark to follow behind.
Group D: France to finish in the 1st place and Netherlands as the 2nd.
Group E: Belgium to be the leader. For the 2nd place, I think Romania can make it despite Ukraine's being favoured to qualify more according to odds. 
Group F: Lastly in my country's group, I expect Portugal to finish in the 1st place and hopefully we also qualify by defeating Georgia and Czechia both.
