France does seem to have a solid performance, but I see that Portugal and England are the ones that I really hope can go further. Especially Portugal, which is currently filled with young players who are very high quality and are in their best performance at the clubs they are currently working at. Cr7, who is also the captain on the field, can still make a very good contribution to his national team. And only Portugal managed to win 10 matches without a draw and without defeat in the qualifying round. And currently the English national team is also worth paying attention to. Because Kane and his friends also seem to have very good chemistry this time.
France has been performing really well in the Euro qualifiers this season. Most of the matches that France has played since the World Cup have gone in France's favor and in all of them, France has looked like an overwhelming team. England didn't finish the World Cup as they expected but the squad is strong enough with a mixture of young and experienced players and the team looks confident going into the Euro qualifiers. Portugal is currently in the best position with 100% wins. Winning all the matches before such an important tournament is not an easy task which Portugal has done. All things considered, France, England and Portugal look like huge favorites for this season.
And if we look at the squads of the three national teams (Portugal, France and England). All filled with the best star players at the moment. Every player who makes up their squad is truly at their best at their respective clubs. So it is not surprising that these three national teams will be favorites at EURO 2024.

But unfortunately all the strong teams seem to be facing off early. So it is very likely that it will be very difficult to see the two favorite clubs facing each other in the Final.

But other national teams can make surprises too. For example, Belgium doesn't seem to have experienced any difficulties in the group qualifying round. Even Lukaku is the current top scorer.

Wales didn't manage to beat Turkey and game ended 1:1. On the other hand, Crotia managed to defeat Armenia with one goal and came out of the group as the 2nd. Thus, Croatia and Turkey qualified to participate in the EURO 2024 European Cup. So Turkey secured 2nd pot. Croatia secured 3nd pot. Türkiye finished the group qualifiers at the top for the first time.

Croatia won anyway so even if Wales won it wouldnt have mattered. But Croatia barely won but yet again they are on a big tournament again. Turkey really surprised me in this qualifiers with how good they played,as a reward they passed the group easily and are at a big tournament finally

If Turkey get Croatia from there in Euro 2024 just as it was in the qualifiers then it could be really interesting.  Grin  We have played against Croatia many times before and they have been mostly delightful matches. There was a really great competition in the qualifiers for the lead until the end of the stage as well.

When it comes to our other potential opponents I hope that we don't get especially Italy as they are the last champions here. They have looked unbalanced sometimes in the qualifiers but Spalletti could prepare them strongly for Euro 2024 later on.

I am not sure what you are talking about, but it was never possible for Turkey before and after the game to drop to 3rd spot. Where did you see or find that they could drop to 3rd spot?
You are not sure because you are confusing positions in qualification groups with spots in Euro pots. If Turkey lost, it would finish 2nd in a group but in a 3rd pot but since they managed to get a draw (from that non existent penalty I must add) they ended up in the 2nd pot.

Now I got it, my bad! I wrote "spot" and the reason is because I misread the post and didn't notice that they were talking about the "pot" and not the spot in this group...

I see now that since they are in pot 2, it is possible that they will face teams like the Netherlands or Croatia from pot 3. I think the Netherlands are making the biggest difference here and they could have avoided a potential group with them at the final round if they finished 2nd in the qualification group.

Thanks for the explanation! It is confusing to follow all these different ways how teams can qualify since there is also the Nations League. Feels it has become more complex than it used to be.

Well, in fact, this is a completely logical system and in fact it works 100%.
This new system is pure shit and it will only increase chances of having a very strong or a very weak group in Euro and I don't think that its anyone's interest. Thanks to the geniuses at UEFA we may have group with France, Denmark, Croatia and Italy and at the same time we could have a group with Belgium, Albania, Slovenia and Greece. They should imho just stick to seding based on FIFA ranking instead of this mess.

This is how it would look like if based on FIFA ranking as of November 2023. We could still get harder and weaker groups of course, but generally speaking it would be more balanced.

Pot 1: Germany, France, England, Belgium, Netherlands, Portugal
Pot 2: Spain, Italy, Croatia, Switzerland, Denmark, Austria
Pot 3: Hungary, Serbia, Scotland, Turkey, Czech Republic, Romania
Pot 4: Slovakia, Slovenia, Albania + 3 teams from the playoff.

Gibraltar from group B lost 6-0 against the Netherlands and finished the tournament without a win. They didn't even score a goal and have one of the worst results in the group with 41 goals conceded and an average of -41. The Netherlands didn't even give them a shot in the match.
France, on the other hand, managed to draw away to Greece and come out of the group as leaders. If they had won this game they would be 8/8 but they didn't play well. Despite leading at half time, they conceded 2 goals in the first 15 minutes of the second half and fell behind 2-1. Fofana scored the decisive goal and the match ended in a 2-2 draw.
Elite teams will continue to humiliate teams that are not in good shape this season. What's wrong with an average team like Gibraltar. They just exist to give points to the competitive teams. Gibraltar lost to France 3 nil in the first leg and got really cook in the second leg with humiliating defeats of 14-0 with no goals netted on the side of Gibraltar. I believe the board are watching closely and sacking the coach should be their ultimate target because there's completely no improvement of any area, from the frontline to defendlines, they're all flops ans brings results that happens to be unpleasant to the ear.

UEFA has come up with an unusual grouping system that could lead to a "group of death" scenario at Euro 2024. Following last night's matches, the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) identified the 21 teams that have secured spots in Euro 2024, including the host team Germany and the top two teams from each of the 10 groups (making a total of 20 teams). The remaining three spots will be determined through the UEFA Nations League.

What's noteworthy is that UEFA didn't seed the teams based on FIFA rankings or their performance in previous Euro finals. Instead, they introduced a peculiar seeding rule, considering teams' performances in the Euro 2024 qualifiers to determine the seedings.

This led to the reigning Euro 2020 champions Italy being pushed down to the fourth seed group because of a lackluster performance in the qualifiers. Other formidable teams in Europe, such as Croatia and the Netherlands, find themselves in the third seed group. Conversely, underdog teams like Albania have been elevated to the second seed group.

The Euro 2024 seeding groups are as follows:

Group 1: Germany, Portugal, France, Spain, Belgium, England

Group 2: Hungary, Turkey, Romania, Denmark, Albania, Austria

Group 3: Netherlands, Scotland, Croatia, Slovenia, Slovakia, Czech Republic

Group 4: Italy, Serbia, Switzerland, three playoff winners from the Nations League

With this seeding outcome, Euro 2024 might witness some challenging groups, with potentially intense matchups between England, Denmark, the Netherlands, and Italy. Similarly, formidable opponents like Croatia (Group 3), Switzerland, and Serbia (Group 4) could pose challenges to other strong European teams.

First of all thank you for sharing this information with us. When it comes to the seeds I can say that even seed 3 and seed 4 are consisting of really powerful teams such as Netherlands, Croatia, Italy and so on.

Turkey have done a really incredible work in the qualifier stage and finished as leader at the same time.  Smiley  They are doing much better in Montella's management. There have been even some meme videos out on the internet showing the Turkey threat in Euro 2024.  Grin  I would also like to see them doing a good job there but let's see. I hope they don't draw very strong teams from seed 3 and seed 4.

We are gonna have a very good one Eurocup i think, because if you see all the teams who qualified are the big ones, we dont have any cinderella or something like that.

The interesting think is gonna be the draw, because we can have a very death goup looking on that pot 4 with Italy and Switzerland who can ended up in any group.

In my opinion, Croatia is one of the strongest teams in the world. They have consistently been in the top four strongest teams at the last two World Cups. Modric is the strongest player in the world and he is Croatian. But in this qualifying tournament the team did not show a bright game, but still they reached the final stage of the tournament. I hope Croatia will show more spectacular and interesting soccer at Euro-24.
Well they are "sort of" getting older, not that they do not have new generation coming up, plenty of great young players too, but there was this chemistry with some older players and now they need to rebuild that with the young team as well and slowly doing that.

This means there could be moments when the yare not doing that great, at least not as great as they could, but then they could do better. Think about it this way, I think they are going to do better than Turkey when it comes to Euro cup itself, but during the qualifiers they did worse, that should tell you something. I believe that it's definitely a big deal, because it does allow them to spend time not being the best they could ever be, but also still participate into it.

Yeah I agree with you and sometimes Croatia can surprise anyone I remember how Croatia destroyed strong teams in several tournaments but now yeah there is indeed a decrease in performance, fortunately they can still compete in group D. By the way, in group E Poland failed to reach 2nd place, even though they still have one game to play but that can't change anything Poland will not be able to catch the Czechs who are already safe with 15 points. Poland still has a chance if they can win in the play-off round.

Qualifications will continue in March next year 12 teams will compete with each other for the remaining places Poland and Wales should have a chance to win through the play-off round while an underdog team like Ukraine can surprise anyone, what is clear is that 3 teams will take their place there through the play-off round I chose Poland, Wales and Ukraine.

Well, in fact, this is a completely logical system and in fact it works 100%. Look at group 1 and name at least one that is not a top team? Everyone was great and came through the tournament very strongly. The fact that Italy, Croatia or the Netherlands ended up so low is their fault and a simple statement of facts: they played poorly and got the result they deserved (Italy actually seems to have qualified thanks to the blindness of the referees).
I wonder why the lists of those who qualified for the losers tournament have not yet been published?

netherlands vs gibraltar In this match, the Netherlands team beat Gibraltar by 0-6 goals. The Netherlands are in a good position among the two teams placed in Group B of the European Championship Qualifiers. Against Gibraltar, the Netherlands came out on top with a six-goal victory to move into second place in the points table with 18 points. We know that currently the best placed team in the group B points table is France, they are at the top of the table and then the Netherlands. gibraltar is not a very strong team because of how many matches we have seen them lose against france by 14 goals we can say they will not qualify for the championship. gibraltar have played eight matches so far without winning a single match but losing all the matches due to which they have zero points, and they have no chance to be selected in the qualification.

Football gets fun and interesting with time, change is inevitable and I think this particular change is what’s meant not just for business but fans pleasure, we're seeing a Group of Death at EURO 2024 will be one that will add value to the competition and make it a spicy one, I think this will help the teams get serious when the tournament kicks off.

Football is now versatile and the change is note worthy and a welcome one by fans, i think if the competition will get more interesting then there should be some run down on the VAR Checks and football rules that guides the field of play, so as not to allow contradicting decisions during the tournament, with this I think EURO 2024 will have eyes glued to their TV Screen and phones.

As I expected, Turkey scored in the second half and managed to finish as the group leader after losing away to Wales and getting a point from there. After a long break, Turkey managed to come out of the group leader in such a tournament and will continue from the 2nd bag. Croatia, on the other hand, managed to defeat Armenia with a goal in the first half and came out of the group as the 2nd with a 1-0 result. We can say that they had more chances to score more goals, but the luck was not on their side. Croatia had a total of 21 shots in the match and it was enough for Croatia to win.

Although Italy is a defending champion but UEFA does not provide privileges to Italy and this time they a bit unlucky because Italy performance isn't too impressive during qualification stages then UEFA placing them into pot 4 for drawing stages and i think this is bad news because they have a potention to joining in the hell group with strong teams such as Germany or Netherlands
On the other hand Poland, Greece, Ukraine, and Wales they are still have a chances to qualified because they have to fight once again at play off stages and the drawing matches will be held next month on December and they will fight for the remaining 3 tickets to qualify for Euro 2024

Modric is the strongest player in the world and he is Croatian.
Modric is one of the best players of his generation but let's be realistic here, he is not the best player in the world (and I am saying this as a Croatian btw).

But in this qualifying tournament the team did not show a bright game, but still they reached the final stage of the tournament.
We passed this griup purely on experience and Modric, but for something else we will need better attackers as that's our main problem at the moment.,

In the formality match played yesterday, Wales and Türkiye drew 1-1 and completed the group matches. Türkiye had already guaranteed to be the leader of the group. Although Wales took a 1-0 lead in the 7th minute, Turkey made the score 1-1 with a penalty goal in the second half and the match ended 1-1.
Turkey, which defeated Germany 2-3 away in the friendly match, played bad football in the match played yesterday. I can't wait to see what he does in the finals in Germany.

I think our team will be better in Germany. Vincenzo Montella is a really successful coach, I have hopes in this guy, he is a coach who can achieve something with our team.
He will prepare our team better until we go to Germany.

It is looking good for Croatia now as they are leading themselves and this means they could still overtake Turkey since they won the first and second leg combined against them. But I think Turkey will try to prevent that from happening because it can have consequences for the next round I think.
I am not so sure that its in Turkey's interest to beat Wales tonight (or draw) because in that case they will end up in 2nd pot which is objectively weaker than 3rd pot where they are now if situation in both of these games remain the same. Therefore, I am rooting for Turkey get at least draw tonight so we end up in the 3rd pot.

I am not sure what you are talking about, but it was never possible for Turkey before and after the game to drop to 3rd spot. Where did you see or find that they could drop to 3rd spot?

If Turkey didn't tie the game against Wales, it would hav been a last minute setback for them because they would have lost the 1st spot in the table and would have been at a disadvantage when the drawings take place for the final round of the Euro 2024. That 1st spot comes with advantages that they wanted to avoid losing and they did. Of course a win or a draw was in their best interest.
