generally agree, but since I like to bet against statistics, it does mean a little bit
of course that England players that will go out on the pitch tonight were not even born (even their parents were not born either) when England last time won over Italy, but they have some pressure over them over "it's coming home" statement prior to each big tournament and that was obviously tough for them on WC

regarding tonight, IMO, this match could go on either side, but I expect from England to take the ball rolling until first goal, after that it depend on who scored first

This match will be the main focus a big match that is not easy to predict and the market gives equal chances to both teams
England are slightly favored for playing the main squad but Italy is not to be underestimated they can do something unexpected
My prediction is that the two teams will play a draw maybe the final score is 1-1

I never liked those statistical data because it proves nothing. Every game is a game for itself and records are meant to be broken. The fact that England last won against Italy on their ground 70 years ago means absolutely nothing for this game.

My predictions are in bold.

It's helpful to mention that England haven't won against Italy on the Italian ground since 1961, which seems to be a very long period. In addition, the last 6 matches resulted in 4 Italian wins and 2 draws. Also, England will suffer the absence of the brightest English striker, Marcus Rashford. These points could give Italy some advantages in this match. On the other hand, Italy's last matches in Napoli, where the match will take place, doesn't look good, as they had 3 draws and a loss in the last 4 matches in Maradona Stadium. Anyway, we might watch a very interesting match, because it's the first match for both teams, and all possibilities would be acceptable, as there are more matches to compensate.

Iceland is a small nation with some consistency, whereas Bosnia could be a bigger nation but less consistency. There are times when Bosnia is better, and there are times when they are terrible, with this managerial change I believe that they will eventually get better, but this doesn't mean that it will be better right away, it may not end up being better this quickly.

I would say Iceland will probably get the win here, but then if they play a year later, I would have wagered that Bosnia would end up getting the win. The new manager change is something that takes time for players to get used to since it is not the club and training is rarer in the national teams.

Apart from Italy and England, there is one other big match that is the center of attention of football fans, namely the France vs Netherlands match which will take place on Saturday 25 March. France failed to win the Qatar World Cup due to a penalty loss to Argentina, so that this qualification will be a proving ground for France after failing in the World Cup.

The match between Italy vs England was a repeat of the previous final which was won by Italy on penalties. But for this match I don't see the possibility that Italy will win the match, they look very messy after not qualifying for the Qatar World Cup, betting on England's win is much more rational and currently many English players are in the best form.

I agree that they won all the games until they met France. But I was not very impressed with the lack of team bonding. For me, it seemed as if the players were not passing around the ball. During the group stage, they had big wins against Iran (6-2) and Wales (3-0), but then they conceded a draw against one of the weakest teams in the tournament (United States). And during the quarter-finals, they ultimately lost a match which they should have won. Anyway, I would agree that they were a bit unlucky in Qatar.

I also agree with you on this. The most important match of the day will be the match between Italy and England. Italian teams achieved very successful results in the Champions League this season. The probability of an Italian team going to the Champions League Final is very high. I think the success at the club level will be reflected in the national team. That's why I expect a good performance from the Italian national team tonight. On the other hand, the English are a great team as we always know. It will be a good match tonight. In my opinion, the Italians will not lose this match tonight.

England scored  9-2 goals in the group stage and finished the group with seven points. They kicked out Senegal (not an easy opponent in my opinion) 3-0 without conceding a goal and then they had beaten France in all available statistics except for goals scored. Now would I say that I am concerned because they lost a game against France which they could indeed have won? No, England did a pretty good job in Qatar and that is how it is. Like when Bayern Munich meets PSG in the Champions League, everybody knows that one top team will be out and it sounds awful when you lose in the quarter finals or even earlier, but it also depends on who your opponent actually was.

Of course I want to watch and I won't miss this match, I want to know how Italy is playing after they failed in the world cup yesterday, now there must be proof that Italy still really deserves to be in this tournament.
I also wouldn't doubt the England national team they have a ton of great players at the moment for their squad so this game will be quite interesting and who deserves to win.

On the other hand, of course I favor the English national team over Italy, only in this qualification is it more interesting and also between the France vs Netherlands match.

Italy vs England and the records has been showed that England were unable to win at Italy home ground since 2012 besides that Mancini has been meet Southgate 3 times and the results of their meetings is Mancini was unbeatable and today confirmed Italy will playing without Ciro Immobile and Gianluca Scamacca but it won't be affect for Italy conditions because they have other players who more fit to played and England squad probably will not so different like when they were defeated by Italy in the Nation League

My prediction England will taking initiative to attack and Italy will strengthen their defense and playing with counter attack style and regarding the odds currently England has odds @2.60 and Italy @2.85 and a bit surprised to see England has slightly the favourite in this match but i think Italy will win the match and why i picking for them because as a host they were unbeatable from England so i am sure Italy will be able to overcomes England

in the last 5 games Liechtenstein lost in all 5 games, I know they were games played last year so a lot could have changed in the team since last year until today, but even so I don't see Liechtenstein managing to create any surprises in this game, something like being able to beat portugal. for me, portugal will win this game, but probably portugal's problem will not be in Liechtenstein, but with its own players. the coach from portugal is a new coach, ronaldo is playing in a league with very low competitiveness while other players from portugal are playing in the big teams in europe, so this will create discussion in the team, because if they put ronaldo on for 90 minutes and not then the Portuguese public wins and the news channels will criticize the new coach and if the portugal coach puts ronaldo on for a short time then we will see ronaldo complaining and it will become news everywhere

Italy and England will probably be the most interesting match. I hope that this time Italy will not miss out on the chance to qualify for the championship. But for that they need to beat England now and prove to everyone that they can qualify again. It's hard to guess who will win, or maybe it will be a draw, but I think Italy really need this win.

Denmark is now much stronger than Finland, so I think that everything will end here 1:0 or 2:0. Denmark is likely to become a clear leader in this group, with rivals in this selection they were lucky. Italy - England is very cool for the first match, the first match with just a repeat of the final last EURO. It will be a good match, Italy  is traditionally strong at home and England are almost always very confident in the group stages, maybe a draw would be a good start.

Denmark vs Finland is the game of the day for me just because I love to like watch nordic rivalry and in this upcoming Euro , both of these teams are chasing a qualify chance but with Denmark having better chances. For Finland , they are still having the best generation of football so I would not be surprised if they make some crazy results here and there.

Then , England vs Italy...oh , what a rematch this will be!

The France team is a really fearful team. They got to the final of the world cup without two of their most crucial midfielders; Pogba and Kante. However badly Pogba is for his club side, he's always at top level when playing for France. If both Pogba and Kante can stay fully fit and in top form till the Euros then France is going to be an even better team.

As for Germany, I can't really tell what their problem is. They have the squad and they played really well during the world cup. I believe if they progressed out of the group stage in the last world cup they would have gone really far. For me I think they were just unlucky or over confident. They underrated Japan too.
Like you said, they have to play a lot of matches together for them to get harmony in their style of play. 

Today there will be one of the qualifying matches from Group J bringing together Portugal vs Liechtenstein. We know that Portugal is very lucky because there are no other strong countries that will compete in this qualifying. But there are Iceland and Bosnia and Herzegovina which I think will be quite difficult opponents for Portugal. We will also see Ronaldo return to defend Portugal in this match, after previously his name was included in the list of the new coach Roberto Martinez's squad. It's clear in this game who will win, I think Portugal will win with a landslide score of 3-0 or even 5-0.

An interesting match that will attract the attention of many fans. Especially since the opponents met in the last Euro final. Both teams are favourites to win the group. The match will obviously be hot. However, I think the Italians will have the advantage, because of the home arena. Mancini's team are used to playing defiantly against their opponents - the English do not like that.

I agree that North Macedonia is a much more serious team than Liechtenstein and Malta and most likely without these teams not much would have changed, because the maximum they can do is to get 1-2 points in the group and if they are lucky to take points from the leader, but playing against stronger opponents such teams also gain experience, even if very often negative.

In any case, soccer is developing very fast and for example teams from Iceland, Bosnia and Herzegovina, which used to be the same "passable" teams, were able to surprise in their time and now they are taken much more seriously. In general, gradually the number of national teams that can surprise only grows.
