Match between Bosnia and Herzegovina vs Iceland,  Bosnia and Herzegovina have a new manager, Faruk Hadzibegic and he was appointed a couple of months ago to bring some joy back to this football loving nation. However, there are a lot of unknowns about how the team will look as the new coach didn't have much time to figure out the way how he wants his squad to play. The game Bosnia and Herzegovina vs Iceland will be played in the home team's favorite surroundings, Bilino Polje stadium in Zenica, and with the legendary Edin Dzeko still captaining the ship, the hosts will look to bolster their chances of a good start to the qualifying campaign. Bosnia and Herzegovina players will aim to change the narrative of their latest sub-par performances, especially the last competitive match that was played in September and which they lost 4-1 to Romania. The positive aspect for Bosnia and Herzegovina is that they won their last four matches at home. Iceland has won only two games out of their last 16 which will be something that the visiting team's players will try to change.

I think that the game between Italy and England will be the most interesting game to watch this week. Since Italy didn't qualify for the last World Cup, everyone is curious how well will they perform against a good team like England.
I don't know about you but for me the far most interesting will be Croatia vs Wales  Grin and I have to say that I am not too optimistic. Historically we don't play good after big success (remember the 0-6 loss vs Spain after 2018 World Cup?) and I have a hunch that this game might be much harder for us than many expect, even without Bale who retired earlier this year.

I was talking for general public Grin But yes, I'll be watching the game between Croatia and Wales. I see that odds on a draw or Wales winning are 2.30 so it's pretty attractive. I think I will put some money on it. Like you said, Croatia is known for not playing good after a big success. They also often lose games at the beginning of a qualification round.

Yes. The most interesting match was this one. Two finalists competing again to qualify. Facing Italy later at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium, England come to secure a place in Euro Germany as only two of the five teams in Group C qualify.

Southgate, who had wanted to leave his duties as England coach after the World Cup, returned to accompany England in the qualifying rounds and even signaled that he would be with the three lions for a long time. There is a possibility that this is addressed to some star players, but forget it.

If you're going to side with Italy, I'm going to side with England.

We will see who ends up winning Smiley Or maybe they draw in the end.

Glory To Ukraine! Glory to the heroes!
I think the French will be the favorites of every tournament, especially after the last world cup.  They have a very good squad and they have the power to win most of the matches they play with this squad.  A serious preparation phase will be required for Germany.  The players are very high quality, there is no doubt about it, but they will have to play a friendly match in every period in order to achieve harmony within the team.

Well, the German national team is the team with which everyone wants to play a friendly match, so they will be able to provide themselves training with worthy opponents, but how responsibly they will play in these matches is another question. Just do not forget that Germany will play at home, and this is always a significant advantage for any team. France has a great team, especially a strong attack.

Also, this is still in the early stages and it seems that we also don't have a broad view to assess every team that will play. Even though there are records about head to head but still, the situation and conditions are not the same as at that time so to predict at a moment like this it is usually only the famous national team.

By the way, the national team matches are sometimes not very interesting, especially when the national team doesn't have famous players, so it seems that the interest in waiting for the match is lacking. Therefore, you also only say about well-known national teams like France and the Netherlands which will indeed compete but apart from that, there is still Italy against England too.
France and Germany are likely to be the favorites for this tournament, and it is not clear how good will be shape Germany, since they will not have official games until the start of the Euro 2024 final stage, and it is not an easy task to check the readiness of the team in friendly matches. And the French after the World Cup will be perceived by bookmakers as one of the main contenders for the title.

Well, soccer is actively developing all over the world and even teams like Northern Macedonia, Malta or even Liechtenstein can take points away from the top teams. The same Northern Macedonia was able to beat Italy in the knockout rounds, which is a sensation in itself.
While I generally agree that football keeps developing, I woulnd't put North Macedonia in the same sentence with Malta and especially not Liechtenstein as they are way more seriopus team that can indedd take points from everyone (even though they kinda sucked at the Nations League last year) while you can't say that about the other two.

After watching how England performed during Qatar 2022, I am slightly pessimistic about their chances. And there seems to be very little team bonding and cohesion within the England squad. On the other hand, whenever they play, Italy display very good team bonding. This time they have a very young team, and I hope that teenagers Simone Pafundi and Wilfried Gnonto will be included in the playing XI. They will be having an ideal mix of young and old, with players like Federico Chiesa, Ciro Immobile and Lorenzo Insigne adding experience to the squad.
I dont think Ciro Immobile and Lorenzo Insigne will be there. They were not in the team in the last match against Austria. Chiesa will be for sure, after his long injury break.

@MinoRaiola Italy’s past record suggest that they often win, hence don’t chose England right away as I have a feeling that Italy may stun them again. Furthermore this will be a key test for both the coaches, and it’ll be interesting to see what kind of intent do England display because I’m sure that they’ll be keen to avenge that final loss they suffered at Italy's hand.
You are right about that. During the EM, Harry Kane was the captain of the team, but he could not lead his team as he should. He is a brilliant footballer, but i have not seen his worldclass in many games. As a striker he scored 4 goals, he could have scored more. But i think he will play mutch better this time.

Getting used to the fact that there are no league matches this week and no European matches either. International matches have never really interested me, especially for qualifying matches, then there is little tension. The differences in these matches are usually huge. There are a few nice matches in between, but the numbers 1 and 2 of all groups continue, so you have to do your best as a top country not to qualify your own. France - Holland might be an interesting game to observe.

I agree, it is difficult to be excited about international qualifiers. There are some really low quality teams involved, the likes of San Marino, Lichtenstein etc. I mean North Macedonia play Malta on Thursday. If they were playing in my back yard, I wouldn’t even watch.

We love our football though so we always find something to watch. I much prefer club football but as a Liverpool fan I am glad for the break to be honest.

Worth a watch this week -

Italy vs England
France vs Netherlands
Spain vs Norway (Haaland)

So sometimes these matches against such "outsiders" are much more interesting than England-Italy, although of course the players there are of a different class.

Norway will have a tough time without Haaland and Spain should probably win easily, but Italy vs England
France vs Netherlands is always interesting and exciting.

Your Posting is over 5 months ago, but looking at this Thursday, Italy vs England is the most interesting game. The betting odds see England as the favourit. The match will be played at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium in Neapel. So Matteo Politano and Giovanni Di Lorenzo will be at home, they play for SSC Napoli. I dont think there will be many goals in the match, i think there will be a 1:1.

Seems that Italy and England can't be separated Cheesy. It will be interesting to see their games again. As I understand, draw pots were based not on FIFA rankings, but on Nation League. And it made not very ballanced groups. In some groups there is 2 big teams playing like B or C, and there is some groups without any big teams like G and I.
As I understand, Germany will play friendlies during international windows.

There is no attraction for a national team that doesn't have well-known players and we can already predict that it will be very difficult for them to qualify for the next round unless our big team has known them for a long time.
But fortunately there are still several big national teams that are competing against big national teams too. We need to watch it and we can assess maybe the national team will not be doubted in the qualification.

We don't watch teams that have low quality, it's not interesting at all, but because there is no league due to the break for the EURO 2024 qualifiers, we are forced to watch this qualifying match, but fortunately there are still some interesting matches in the sense that the big teams meet on the team that equivalent can relieve boredom towards the end of this month.

Worth a watch this week -
Italy vs England
France vs Netherlands
Spain vs Norway (Haaland)
It's worth watching, this will be interesting and ready to place bets on this match.
Two big matches (Italy vs England France vs Netherlands) while Spain vs Norway I will support Spain even though Norway has Haaland and Odegard. Cheesy

Slovenia on the other hand has regularly played in the Euro Cup and FIFA World Cup. They are currently ranked 62nd.
According to the statistics both teams were never met before but we all know Slovenia is much stronger than Kazakhstan and recent performance from them also quite different that Kazakhstan has did several friendly matches before and their results is not so impressive and Slovenia so far had excellent performance compared to Kazakhstan at least Slovenia didn't lose in the last 5 matches

However i didn't expect more for Kazakhstan because i am sure they wouldn't be qualified but Slovenia have to utilized this match to earn 3 points but if we look at to the teams in group H i think the strongest contender is Denmark and Finland but i have my predictions that Slovenia had a potention to makes those teams to slipped especially they have good players in their squad such as Jaka Bijol from Udinese and Atletico Madrid player Jan Oblak

kazakhstan made a little surprise especially since they have Aymbetov on the front lines, Kazakhstan's attack power is getting better so this match will be quite exciting (but the slovenia squad is still much better), talking about group H, I agree with you that there are only three teams that have the chance to qualify for the next round, that is denmark - finland or slovenia.

Unfortunately it looks like Haaland won't be playing for Norway due to his injury. This will be a big handicap for Norway team. If they stood any chances, I think that without him their chances on winning the game are close to zero.
Norway's opportunity to qualify for the grub phase is not easy, not because of Haaland's presence or absence but rather having to fight other strong countries such as Spain, Scotland and for the Georgia and Cyprus matches it seems that Norway can overcome them. Haaland has been outstanding at club level due to the great midfielders there who have always contributed to his goals but there is no guarantee when playing for his country he will be as successful as he has at club.

Especially if there is no Haaland in the Stale Solbakken squad and it is very likely that they will have a very difficult time getting a place to qualify for the next phase, even so I can see their chances of getting a win against Georgia and Cyprus, for the matches Spain and Scotland are likely to make them lose.

National team football has long been a sad sight compared to club football, but even taking this into account, simply due to the number of games in each round, there are always interesting pairings (for example, those you listed).
By the way, Italy - England this will be a repeat of the 2020 European Championship final - an interesting game from all points of view. And I also think that if Italy loses the group to England and then fails in the play-offs, then the European Championship 2024 will be held without the defending champion  Grin Can we expect this from an Italy that has missed two World Cups? Why not.
