It cannot be denied that Turkey played well, even in the final minutes Turkey tried to continue attacking, threatening the Dutch goalkeeper several times. The performance of the Turkish players was very good in the match against the Netherlands, in the first half Turkey managed to score a goal with an assist provided by Arda Guler. However, unfortunately in the second half the Dutch managed to score 2 goals against Turkey, making Turkey lose, while the Dutch managed to advance to the semifinals.
Still a little upset of course seeing some attacks from Turkey in the last minute that should be a goal but it can't be done well to become a goal more precisely the Turkish players are still not in the right position or indeed the stronger Dutch defense that we saw in the last minute match between Turkey vs Netherlands.

At least it wasn't a boring match in the second half Turkey were much better even though they conceded two goals and they couldn't reply but when looking at the last minute as a spectator I was a little nervous why it didn't become a goal. Hahaha while this Dutch fan wanted to keep it 2-1. In the end the Netherlands went through.

Luck is also a very important factor, not only England is lucky at this Euro, the French team is also very lucky, perhaps even too lucky. Southgate is still winning, so it is difficult to criticize his decisions, it would be different if he had lost like Spalletti did, who said that his strategy worked in Napoli when everyone condemned him, now that we see how bad Italy looked compared to other teams, we can to say that Spalletti's strategy was very bad. England started to play when they conceded, maybe their excessive caution hindered them.
No one having doubt about England and France both are lucky in this Euro and having spots into last four with most chances now we can expect something special because Spain and Netherlands done good job from the start and having spots into last four which are interested Spalletti was good enough, but sadly Switzerland were superior in the game against Italy, and they clinch the win and go through for the next round now we have matches where we need some extraordinary work from these teams if they want to have spot into last two with title win as well.

I have strong feeling Spain can go through for the final and win the title with others are having no enough performance which is going to stop them from having win with their amazing quality and consistency Netherlands are under-dogs for me as they are also doing good in last few games.

Turkey played very well yesterday and overall they left a very good impression at this tournament, I did not expect such a game from them. The Netherlands played rather rudely, often with small but very rough fouls, hits on the legs, it seemed that they did not always keep up with the Turkish players. But it is also worth saying that the Netherlands were stronger in attack, they created more dangerous moments and deservedly won.
The Dutch game this time was very different from what was shown previously, it seemed like Ronald Koeman deliberately used a slightly rough game strategy to kill the mentality of the Turkish players. This strategy was very risky, but also profitable, Turkish players did not dare to hold the ball for too long for fear of being tackled by Dutch players. Violation after violation by the Dutch players made the direction of Turkey's game slightly damaged, this situation was used by the Dutch players to build attacks.

The Netherlands has the right to qualify for the semifinals after defeating Turkey. They will be challenged by England, who are known for their strong physique and fast game. This match will be even more difficult for the Netherlands if they use the same strategy because the English players are mentally and physically strong.

Spain will face France in the semifinals, this will be an interesting match and it is not easy to predict this match. I think they will play safe in this match, because both Spain and France have attacks that can endanger the defense, that will be their focus in this match. Spain as usual, they will definitely try to control the ball, that is their characteristic in every match. Meanwhile, France is a team with a faster style of play.

I want to see Spain eliminating France a lot. France and England are teams that I don't like the game they play. Spain like to play fast. France have one of the best defenses in the tournament but I think even they will have serious difficulties. They will try to make Spain accept their boring game but I don't think it will be that easy.

I just hope France and England both get eliminated because of playing really boring football.  Sad

In another semifinal between England vs Netherlands, this would probably be a boring match, meaning their style of play. England they always look for safety in every match, they will come out attacking and play more bravely when they are behind. This match will be interesting if one of them can score a quick goal, because they will definitely try to score a goal back. That's also what I saw from the match in the last 8, their match was more interesting when they were behind.

Netherlands weren't great against Turkey. They could have really been eliminated. We have seen them having inconsistencies so far so that wasn't surprising.

I still believe they can play better than England truthfully. But it feels like this game won't end in regular time. As I said I don't like England and France's games but it feels like the name of the final will be Spain - England.

Two great nations hard a big fight yesterday and I couldn't stop staring my TV cause at some point I almost got tense with the way England was playing I never know that Saka was going to get that beautiful goal to bring them back to the game once again. It was a great performance from Switzerland who got the lead in the 75th minute of the game through the goal of B. Embolo, but all thanks to Saka's goal in 80 minutes if not there wouldn't be a need to play in the extra minutes before playing the penalties. One team needed to leave for the other team to qualify to the next round and it favored England yesterday as Akanji couldn't convert his penalty kick to goal and England was lucky to score all their kicks to advance to the next round, it was a nice game they had yesterday.
Even England is having spot into last four with the win against Switzerland in quarterfinal, but their performance is surely not as par needed for this spot now they have good chance of going into final against France/Spain winner with things are now well-balanced we are having four top European teams into last four without any big upset which was expected after having poor run of performance from the few teams which are not trying to have something better for win of title.

Switzerland were impressive from the start of the event and things were indicating they can go through for the last four but sadly one poor penalty hold their progress for this spot but still their performance is impressive in this all event now England needs to be had better things for the next game against the Netherlands.

Although Turkey lost today but i still impress to see their performance and in the last 10 minutes of second half Turkey could force the Netherlands to play more defensively and they even can gets several chances to scores but unfortunately Netherlands defense is very solid which make them cannot utilize those chances to scores and for Netherlands congratulations for them and this result is very special for Netherlands because finally after 20 years they can able to advances to the semifinal again and next match would be so interesting because Netherlands will fight against England and just like we know England has just advances to the semifinal after beat Swiss through an penalty kick so this is hard match for both teams because they want to go further especially England that as the finalist of last tournament they want to repeat their achievement and for betting option i haven't checked the odds yet but i assume Netherlands a bit the favourite than England

The Turkish national team had good positions in the second half of the match. Arda Güler's free kick hit the post. And they had many scoring positions in the final stages of the match. But they failed to convert them into goals. The Turkish national team are one of the youngest squads in the tournament. This team can do well in the next tournaments. Many footballers may have their prime in the next tournaments. I think they give hope for the future. They have a very good harmony with Montella. I hope Montella will continue to stay there.

Turkey's performance declined in the second half, especially after the goal back from the Netherlands, this shows that Turkey's mentality was not as good as the Netherlands' so they could turn things around.
This was quite a fierce match and indeed both teams showed their best performance and indeed the Netherlands deserved more to qualify for the semifinals.

Turkiye performance on that match wasn't encouraging because as a club that has gone that far shouldn't have been that reluctant as they are even when they were leading with 1:0 at first, though I cannot say that there performance was bad at the first half because they tried very well on the first half but after they came back on there second half the game pattern changed and the method at which Netherlands was using for them was no longer given Turkiye the chance to perform the way they did on the first half and Netherlands had to take advantage of there weaknesses and equalize and it wasn't up to seven minutes they scored another goal making it 2:1, I actually I understand the kind of feelings Turkiye must have had after losing that match because they worked so hard in trying to make sure they qualify for another round.

When the Turks scored the first goal, I was happy for their team, but at the same time I understood that there was still a lot of time to think about victory, because the Netherlands would start attacking hard. Maybe the Turks had a strategy to go on full defense, but as practice shows, this is not the best solution, because vulnerabilities can always be found even in the most impenetrable defense. In any case, we saw goals scored, although not very many, I hope there will be more of them in the semi-finals during the main match. I was also surprised that Erdogan visited the team’s locker room after the end of the match, it’s very unexpected for the leader of a country to do such a thing, at least I can’t remember anyone else doing this and the leaders of other countries.

i appreciate how Turkey played the Match against Netherlands. Turkey tried well, they were in attacking mood even they successfully able to Scored a goal in first half at 35' by Samet Akaydin. But in 2nd half, situation changed. Netherlands took this seriously and become so dedicative from 2nd half and apply their strategy and best effort even they did many Fouls and finally they able to scored 2 goal at 70' and 76' and that changed everything. Turkey should be more dedicative after they experienced 1st goal from Netherlands. Turkey tired their best even in last minutes, (saw Bertug Yıldırım got red card) and unfortunately they get defeated by Netherlands and lost the hope for play in semifinal.

Even though they have qualified for the semifinals, England's performance is not that good, especially England's attack line which has not shown its sharpness since the start of this tournament. I am quite doubtful of England if they are not able to recover to be even better in the semifinals against the Netherlands.

It was sad that Turkey was eliminated. Because we had a generation that could see the Final here. A manager like Montella failed to manage this squad. Had it not been for 75 minutes of Kenan Yıldız, maybe we would have expected a different result for Turkey. With the introduction of Semih Kılıçsoy, we started to create more positions. The last minutes were exciting and I must say that we missed many scoring positions. It was a match that we would have definitely won if it had gone into extra time.

I agree with you. There is no doubt that turkiye performed very well in this match. The Turkiye group is not very strong in comparison. However, turkiye players tried their best to perform well. The players were hardworking and confident. So the performance of turkiye players against Netherlands was very good. But luck was not with them. So until the end, he could not qualify for the semi-finals. But I also didn't think that Turkiye team will qualify for the quarter finals.

At the end of the first half, the Turkiye team was leading 1-0. Turkiye's match strategy was good. Moreover, the team's defense was also strong. So after Turkiye got the lead I thought Turkiye will win this match. But they lost 2-1. In the 76th minute of the second half, Mert Muldur mistakenly put the ball into his own net. And because of this mistake Turkiye lost the match. It was a bad day for Turkiye.

Perhaps, that yesterday would be one of the worst performance England have displayed so far in this tournament. Sincerely speaking, I was rooting for their elimination due to how irritating they were playing. Switzerland played the game with utmost dedication and I wish they won the match.

From the beginning of this tournament, England have been surviving on luck even against a weaker team that one might expect them to win easily. Defensive errors and poor positioning of the goal keeper gave room for the England equalizing goal. Switzerland try their best to defend their goal but Saka has always been a freeman since the kickoff and couldn’t be stopped.

English team were lucky to win the game but the Switzerland goalie was very poor in spot kicks, he should have been subbed out for a better kick stopper. I felt sad for Switzerland after all the effort they put in that game.

Not only yesterday but the entire competition the team has been playing poorly, to even expand this poor performance I think it is the entire tournament that hasn’t lived up to the expectations. Among the four semi finalists the French National team and the England national have been the team which hasn’t performed to the level which the world has placed them. Funny enough both of them could still be at the finals if their lucks continue which could be one of the boring finals to come.

Those penalty kicks might look calm but it was because the players taking this kicks are great penalty takers. Furthermore i don’t see why Switzerland goalkeeper Yan Sommer was to be substituted because he is very much good at it.

For me, England have been able to qualify for the semi's by sheer luck. In fact, throughout the tournament, they haven't been impressive and have been fortunate enough to get by with teams that haven't been serious too. For me, Switzerland would have been the country to end their dreams if Saka hadn't squashed their dreams.
I still don't know why Gareth Southgate won't start the likes of Ivan Toney or Cole Palmer. These two have been changing the game whenever they are brought in and the more they left in the bench, I feel their confidence will be dropping. Maybe he's confused as to who to start and to whom to bench or bring later because of the myriad of good players they have.
Funny enough, they could use this their pattern of getting one goal and holding it down or drawing so they can get to penalties and deceive the other teams in this competition and before you know it, they are in the finals.
If you think luck is very important I'll like to ask, for how long will the England national team rely on luck? I won't bring France into the mix because they have faced more stronger side than England which made me believe that France are better and doing well than the 3 Lions. For Spalletti I can't really tell what went down with his team to be frank with you, because they are just there in the tournament like nothing threatening to show as former Champions until the last day they was eliminated, they didn't take this tournament too serious and I'll add that they don't have a team that can get them to the final.
Back to England's coach Gareth Southgate, I think this man is hoping on luck and he forgets that he has the best on the bench to give his team easy flow of football and make the team more aggressive and hard to play against by other teams like Spain, but he prefers playing the familiar faces that he knows they haven't done anything to convince the fans that they're ready to even play against Netherlands.

It looks like you should be disappointed, Portugal lost in this penalty shootout, Joao Felix failed to complete the penalty kick that was entrusted to him, if Felix had not failed in the penalty kick then it is very likely that Portugal would have escaped, after all, everyone has worked hard, France is superior and no one can deny that, they are still the favorite team to win the Euro event this time (apart from Spain)

I was heartbroken when Portugal lost in the penalty shootout, I wasn't expecting that because Portugal had Diogo Costa, who saved them against Slovenia, and I expected him to save them against France, but things didn't go as expected. Both teams performed well throughout the game, but Portugal was not lucky to win. As Felix wanted to take the penalty, I was afraid because he always hit the post and missed a penalty. I believe that if Bruno Fernandes had not been substituted in the second half, Portugal would not have lost the penalty because Felix would not have been able to take it if Bruno had been on the field.

However, I agree with you, apart from Spain, France is the favorite to win this tournament. But if you look at their next game against Spain, I am not thinking France is the favorite to win since Spain seems to be the strongest team in this tournament, and I am not sure any opponents will be able to withstand Spain's pressure. I don't think so, because Spain always puts pressure on their opponents, as they did in the last game against Germany, and scored the winning goal in the last minute.
