The first games today have started already. I see that Roma have started with an early goal thanks to El Shaarawy. They are leading by 1-0 against Zorya away now. This is another easy game for Roma after demolishing Cska Sofia by 5-1 home. Actually, Roma's group is very easy in general. I don't expect them to lose even one point. They should be able to defeat their competitors in both games comfortably. And Roma really need a win here as they were defeated by Lazio in the Serie A by 3-2 the last time. This could be a really good way to boost their morale.

It looks like Napoli are going to have another comfortable match this time against Spartak Moscow. Their opponent is really not good lately. They have got bad results in the league. And Legia defeated them by 1-0 in their first EL group match also. But Napoli are doing just great. They have been dominating the Serie A so far and they got a 2-2 draw against Leicester away in the EL also. I think that they will win the match very comfortably.

Should be an easy win for Napoli. They are playing incredibly well in the league so far and they are playing as a team- which is a good sign. So far the young Osimhen and Fabian have been playing very good. They also have creative attacking options like Mertens and Insigne. And Spartak has not been having a good season this year. They have been struggling in both their league and Europa League. So I'm guessing, Napoli will have this match in the bag with a dub.

Which is precisely why I'm betting on Spartak Moscow tonight haha.

I can't help it. At over 15/1 odds almost and you're both right. Napoli are scoring freely, while Moscow are in bad form. But I'm sure if you played them 5 times together at this same stage, Moscow has to win once. So those odds just look too good for me to miss.

Or, you take the easy way out and go for double chance. Still not bad at almost 4/1.

Partizan is playing Flora tonight and win over handicap shall be fine, H2 or H3 is the question?

regarding other matches, Feyenoord should be a good pick, but value is questionable on odds, AZ is also having Czech opponent Jablonec and home win with handicap should be good
Gent is playing Anorthosis, Basel with Almaty, both matches should be home wins, but odds are too low without handicap

tough day for betting in Conference league

Time to bump this thread and show some love to Conference League Cheesy.
Probably main game today is Feyenoord - Slavia. Slavia have many players injured, but despite it they looking solid. So, I think that they are underrated too much for this game.
Most of other games doesn't look very attractive to watch. Maybe Vitesse - Rennes may be interesting.
Spurs will face Mura and even if they will play with reserve squad, I expect them to achieve quite big win. IMO, muravis one of weakest teams in tournament.
This season is the first season to hold a conference league, so it is very natural that this thread is a little quiet compared to other league threads, I personally have been a little less involved in conference league trips because so far I have seen many  macthes unbalanced and not yet bigmatch has occurred in the conference league.

@LTU_btc having player’s injured is always bad, but an opportunity for others to stake their place in the team hence we’ll have to see if those other player’s step up or no. Also are you sure about Spurs winning, did you even see their recent matches because I have zero confidence in spurs winning this game and that too winning it easily.
Tottenham Hotspur current situation is uncertain, especially since they have just lost in a row in the English Premier League, but I don't think it will affect the mentality of the Tottenham players in the conference league too much, especially since the team faced by Tottenham is not a tough and mura team also in bad performance in the slovenia league, so i think tottenham will easily beat mura by a score of more than 2 goals.

For me, I was expecting more from Spurs, although Rennes is a good team but the level of leagues is very different, and also for Union Berlin, such defeat with such score is quite unexpected. Meanwhile, Roma is taking the lights right now under Mourinho Smiley
Stopped expecting anything from Spurs a long time ago, except if you want Kane/Son to score, which you can usually count on. But taking all 3 points is no longer a given, not since Mourinho and I'm still out on Nuno.

That said, Mourinho proves he is made for Italy, and maybe he was told there's no parking space for the bus at Roma:)
lol but you are right, myself said that the last season when their failure or win was very random but honestly level of teams in Conference League is way weaker than Spurs, a draw against Rennes could be swallowed but their next games should be different for real.

I think Mourinho kind of loves to be the underdog. His biggest wins and trophies happened when he coached Fc Porto, then Inter and who knows what he is now going to do with Roma. He failed in Tottenham I would say, but the league is just dominated so hard by the top 3, top 4 teams that an underdog hardly has a chance. I didn't know it is already five years ago that the underdog Leicesty City became champions, but that won't repeat itself anytime soon. It would be awesome to see Mourinho go far again with a team like Roma, that's always fun to watch.

I personally saw Shaarawy when he was at Milan it was seen that Shaarawy had good potential, and then Milan let him go and I think it was only for the financial needs of the team. Judging from the available data, Shaarawy was loaned out and then transferred back to Roma, where he previously anchored in Monaco and Shanghai Shenhua. Mourinho's magic now seems to have returned and I believe and hope that Mourinho can bring a big change for Roma, at least become champions in this tournament or just become the holder of the Serie A title, I think that is enough to restore his reputation.
It wasn't a loan as far as I know, it was basically a huge transfer for the other team, but when his contract ended, he just walked away for free to any team he wants. Obviously it looks weird to see him go back to Roma but he did just that, but wasn't a loan as far as I know. I have to say with all these teams doing fine, I am really shocked about this tournament. I did not expect something this good at all.

I was guessing that it would be a lot worse than what it is right now, it would be many horrible teams and many meaningless games. However now that I am looking into it, I have to say the world has good enough teams to play at 3 different continental cup, and it turns out to be very entertaining as well.

Shaarawy and Abraham function very well under Mourinho and they indeed had a head start, whether they can keep it up, I am not so sure. Roma's squad is strong when it comes to the first 12 - 13 players, but when injuries come into play they will get into trouble. When Mourinho became coach in Tottenham, he also started decently but the, they lost out really hard the closer they got to the middle of the season.
Sharawy made his name in AC Milan and he was a hope of AC Milan after Inzaghi retired together with many players, Ambrosini, Gattuso, Nesta, Maldini, ...

However after a few seasons played too much, he got injured and lost his performance. AC Milan sold him to Roma and it looks like Roma is a real home for El Sharawy. El Sharawy if can continue this improvement, will be able to get a position in Italy international team. Another player in Roma that is improving after injury is Zaniolo.

Pellegrini scored a very beautiful goal in match with Sofia and he reminds me about Totti with that goal.

I think he is also a player who gets along well with a coach like Mourinho and vice versa. Sure every coach wants his players to frequently score in order to be happy, but Shaarawy gives his best and delivers and Mourinho puts a lot of emphasis on players giving everything even if they don't sore as much. He loves players who also have a certain effectiveness for the team in many other ways. Curious how far "the special one" can take Roma this year. He is always good for a surprise, but it is going to be a very long season anyway.

Mourinho is undoubtedly a great coach, but he has certain characteristics besides positive ones  Cheesy For example, many believe that its maximum for any team is 3 + - seasons, after which the amount of accumulated contradictions becomes such that he have to leave the club. But in any case, I hope that Roma has good results ahead with him.

Mourinho really is giving a new gameplay for Roma and some new things. Wasnt expecting at all that Roma is playing really good in both serie A and Europe Confrence league. I think they will go really far in Europe maybe even win it. They are one of the favorites to win.

Yes, it is quite possible that given the really low chances of Roma to win the national championship, they will concentrate on winning this tournament. This is not a Champions League, but still a title.

Sure. The depth of the squad is a common problem for non-top teams, so sooner or later management will have to decide which tournaments the team should focus on this season.

The arrival of mourinho to rome has clearly had a significant impact on roma performance this season, and it is proven by their performance in the league that is unbeaten at all and now they have managed to occupy the 1st position of the italian league standings with 9 points, not only in the league, as roma are also playing quite well in the European Conference League at the moment, Roma have now won all six games played under Mourinho between Serie A and the Conference League, and this proves that Mourinho is still a coach who deserves the special one title.

I agree. Roma should be very happy that they signed Jose Mourinho for their manager position. So far, there has been a good chemistry between him and the players. And the new transfer Abraham is also doing very good. Roma might have a chance for even the Serie A title this season. But I know that it won't be easy for them. Even if they don't win the title, I think that they will do a great job. And they should be able to reach much better levels in this tournament also as they are one of the favourites for the title.

Tottenham played a tough game against Rennes yesterday evening. Rennes had more goal opportunities than Tottenham in general. Son was still injured but Kane was playing at Tottenham. However, he was replaced by Emerson in the first 15 minutes of the second half. Despite this change, Tottenham still managed to secure one point by a 2-2 result. This was one of the toughest games for them in the group and I guess that they are pleased with the result.
It was a tough game indeed they were lucky they did not lose many faults specially from defenders and not to mention the lack of strong midfielders and a playmaker in my opinion son and davinson sanchez absence in the last two games made a negative impact.
