Teams like Roma and Tottenham are a bigger quality then all other teams in this competition. This tournament also gives a chance to the teams that have a lot less quality to play in the group stage of any europe competition. Group stage isnt much good but this are really solid teams and 90% of them deserve to be in the group stages of a european tournament

agree, Tottenham and Roma hardly can miss top two positions in their group, so I do not expect from them to play with top teams tonight
nevertheless, Roma will probably win with any team that goes on the pitch, for Tottenham that is not so certain, Rennes is a solid football club

Partizan is playing on Cyprus, and @2.1 is good value for the match, although there are some issues, and coach decided to leave three players home, which could signal some bad atmosphere in the team, but Anorthosis started their season on weekend with a loss, and they should be easy to overcome

Rennes - Tottenham and AS Roma - CSKA Sofia, will this be an important match for Tottenham and AS Roma?
Considering this is the first year or season of the Europa Conference League, I still don't know if they will play with the main squad or not. Because usually, their less or less popular championships or big teams will not fully mobilize all the main players in the match. But even so because this is their first season, I feel they will still be serious about being able to win so I am still confident to bet for Tottenham and AS Roma.

Teams like Roma and Tottenham and Feyenoord will be a bit better than their competition that part is true, however I still love this cup, I know many people are still not used to it, but I just feel like it is a good cup since it is bringing so many clubs to European cups, it is adding so many new teams to actually fight for something.

None of these teams would be great in europa, maybe 3 or 4 of them would be fine, hell even 6 of them if you push it really hard, but now there are too many of them who will see quarter finals just because they draw their opponents with luck, and ones with absolutely no chance of being even relevant on a finals game at europa, will have a chance to win the whole cup here.

I know most of the people see the names of the clubs and think that this cup will be bad, but good vs good is a good game whereas decent vs decent is still good, I rather watch decent team vs decent team instead of decent team vs nobody (without the cup these teams go back home) or decent team vs great team.

Group E appears to be well balanced and somewhat hard to predict whos going to advance. Roma and Basel's groups look like pieces of cake, at least on paper.

Roma and Basel look really lucky, they will come out of their group comfortably as the leader. I think we will watch the most exciting matches in Group E. The strengths of the teams are very close to each other, and this group that performs well will be the leader of this group.
I will be waiting for tottenham matches too, we can watch a lot of goals Smiley

The draw for the first edition of the Conference League has divided the 32 teams into eight groups in which Roma and Tottenham are without doubts the big favorites to win the cup.
The Italian team led by Mourinho will face in Group C Ukrainian side Zorya, CSKA Sofia of Bulgaria and Bodo/Glimt of Norway. Tottenham will have a little more difficulty in Group G in which they'll face Rennes of France, Vitesse of the Netherlands and Mura of Slovenia.
Of the other groups, Group E features Slavia Prague, Feyenoord, Union Berlin and Maccabi Haifa. In Group A are LASK, Maccabi, Alashkert and Helsinki; in Group B, Ghent, Partizan, Flora and Anorthosis; in Group D, AZ Alkmaar, Cluj, Jablonec and Randers; in Group F, Copenhagen, PAOK, Slovan Bratislava and Lincoln Red of Gibraltar; and in Group H, Basel, Qarabag, Kairat and Omonoia.
The group winners will advance to the round of 16. The group runners-up will advance to the play-offs, where they will be joined by the third-placed teams from the UEFA Europa League groups; the eight winners will complete the round of 16.
That's where the real competition will start IMO.

There is at least a favourite team in each group and indeed Roma, Spurs, Rennes, Union Berlin and Basel shouldn't have a hard time to pass the group stage imo. I can tell that some of these teams don't have to play with full first squad to pass in fact.
There teams are way too strong that their competitors in the group so that wont be a problem for them to quality in the group stage of the tournament. They have a good bench strenght as well so even their B team would qualify . Roma and Spurs are my personal favorite.

Group G seems quite hard for the teams except Tottenham. Poor Mura got a really unfortunate draw. They will be destroyed by Tottenham, Rennes and Vitesse here. I wonder whether Tottenham will give an importance to this tournament. Because it has the lowest prestige comparing to the Champions League and the Europa League. But it is a new tournament in the end. Maybe they would like to be the first winner.

To me group E looks most exciting, but honestly I don't know if this international competition was really that necessary. If it pays off financially for the clubs, then ok, but I know that the financial difference between champions league and european league is already so tremendous that I don't expect the conference league to really pay off that well for the clubs.

Great draw for my team Partizan. The best draw possible for them. I think they will win all 6 games in the group stage for sure. Tottenham group only looks hard, plus i dont think Tottenham will play the group stage with their first squad

draw for Partizan is really good, although I do not think that we will win all 6, probably three at home, one on a side, and other two draws, or even to lose in Belgium, Gent is far from lousy team
nevertheless, it would be really bad if we do not win first place in this group, and will be interesting how far we can go in this competition, expect Rome and Tottenham, I do not see teams that we cannot kick-out in two matches this season

Feyenoord is also good this season, and I expect to see them within QF, probably SF

This is what I do. I drink and I know things.
Last night I watched the match between Rijeka and PAOK and there was an obvious difference in quality, Rijeka had no chance.
In fact, it is a miracle that PAOK did not beat Rijeka in the first game, but it is obvious that they are not completely ready yet, considering that the Greek championship has not started yet.
In the group stage of the competition PAOK will have a good chance to pass the group.

Indeed PAOK yesterday was very good and discipline in the entire game. They start the match as it was the second half of the first game, full pressing, 2 attempts that hit the posts, and eventually an early goal that put them in front. If they play like this, they have good chances to qualify for the next round.

I doubtthat they will give priority to this tournament and they will not play with main squad there. Maybe they will give more attention to it only in playoff stages where they will meet stronger teams. It's not very prestigous trophy, but for Spurs who haven't won any trophies for so long, Conference League title wouldn't be bad achievement.

I agree with you. At least for this stage of the competition, Tottenham will not put at risk or "burn" any of its main players. And why should do it?

Flora Tallinn and Lincoln Red Imps both qualified for the group phase of the Conference League today. I'm not 100% sure, but i believe an Estonian team has also never made groups before, so it's a triumphant week for smaller nations, exactly what UEFA has hoped for creating this league.

By the way, Lincoln Red Imps have a significant advantage playing at home. I watched their home game against Cluj last month, and i can tell you they play on the worst artificial turf i've ever seen, not to mention that their stadium has a low profile and is very close to the sea allowing for sudden bursts of wind, in short, the absolute worst place you can play football.
Yeah, you're right, it will be first appearance of Estonian team in group stage of UEFA tournament. From Baltic countries now only Lithuanian clubs never reached group stage. And as Lithuanian, I feel shameful about it :/
Armenia also will be represented in group stage for the first time, it will be Alashkert.
Nothing surprising that artificial turf in bad condition in Gibraltar. It's only stadium in country, so it's used very intensive by all clubs and national team.

Group G seems quite hard for the teams except Tottenham. Poor Mura got a really unfortunate draw. They will be destroyed by Tottenham, Rennes and Vitesse here. in again the last match of the day, Partizan won over Santa Clara to reach Group stage, congrats

Tottenham proved worth a risk, and Lincoln reached group stage, made history for Gibraltar, as well as Flora from Estonia, they reached group stage as well, not sure about previous group stages in any competition for them?
nevertheless, did not saw any major upset in this qualification round, all went as expected

Trabzonspor did not start the game badly. But they could not show a game as they wanted and unfortunately could not find a score. If there weren't any injuries, maybe they'd have a chance.
After Rome scored the second goal, the match was already over, the control of the game passed completely to Rome. If Trabzonspor had scored an early goal, they could have won the match Smiley
In that match As Roma dominated the game from the beginning of the first half and it was seen that As Roma continued to confine the Trabzonspor defense, especially As Roma only won 2-1 in the first leg so it is certain that the result is still too risky to guarantee As Roma qualified for the next round, As roma  second leg game, in my opinion has started to improve compared to their appearance in the first leg, in the first leg As roma players lost too many balls and at that time the lack of coordination between players made As roma conceded 1 goal in the match .

From the statistical records we can get the total goal attempts generated from both teams, in that note it is clear that both teams have a lot of efforts to make goals and so basically they have the same chance to win. Then, PAOK can win and qualify, I think that is the result that should be obtained. The match schedule factor is clear, PAOK has a free schedule because the league has not started and that is a factor where PAOK can put its focus only on this tournament. In contrast to Rijeka, at least Rijeka must share the focus for this tournament and also the league that makes players' stamina change.

raków will now face the belgian club gent and santa clara will meet partizan belgrade ... here a progress of the two teams would be a very big surprise
Surprise, but not impossible. Gent struggled against RFS Riga. Rakow is better team than Riga, so I expect that it won't be easy for Gent. One interesting thing about Rakow - they scored just 1 goal in 4 qualifying games. They failed to score against Suduva in both games and scored against Rubin only in extra time.

the first legs of the two clubs are now over and both teams won their games.
raków defeated gent 1-0 and santa clara won their home game 2-1 against partizan - for me two little surprises

unfortunately, the two clubs from poland and portugal did not make it to the group stage. in the second legs, both clubs suffered clear defeats (0-3 raków & 0-2 santa clara) Tongue
today the group draw will take place - let's see which groups will be formed then
