The game was tense, the hero of the game for Sporting is their Goalkeeper who made many important saves. Biggest blow is that we had two important players injured (Tomiyasu & Saliba) and still did not win this game even with the home advantage. Manchester United supporters are the happiest knowing that one team that can challenge them for the Europa cup has been knocked out. The EPL is what we cannot miss now, We have to focus all Attention now to ensure that Manchester city or even Manchester United don't steal that away from us too, that will be very embarrassing.

Manchester United though it looks like an easy ride for them now to the finals, they still have to be very careful with some teams that are underrated in this competition and even this Sporting boys.

I don't know if Arteta's decision not to start our regular strong first eleven players is due to team rotation or because he underestimated the boys from Sporting . For whatever reason, it looks like what cost us the game.

Tough luck for Arsenal, but them being knocked out does him them the resources to divert to a specific competition and this should be the premier league which is almost coming to a close .

Arsenal failed to do their job in the Europa League after being eliminated via a penalty shootout.
To be honest this has been a very exciting game because both teams are trying very hard in this game but of course there are winners and losers and in this case Arsenal have to be willing to drop out of the competition and now the focus will be on the Premier League after this.

Finally Arsenal is out from the league,with a PK. I see sporting winning as a luck because both side played very well and they are equal to each other in their performance. PK is a game of luck which sporting became lucky this night to kick the gunners out of the league and they have secured a ticket to the next round. Arsenal should go and focus more on EPL,since that is the league that they can win this season if they don't relent in their performance because they have a rival. I think this might be an opportunity for Man united to get to the finals,since they are stronger and some of the qualified clubs.

Rashford scored an incredible goal (outside goal shot). No one anticipated the shot.
Rashford is in a good position to participate and perform well in every game. He has more goals left in him in his football career, in my opinion.

Certainly not me and you can be rest assured, they already laid waste my bet, thanks to them. Although, Arsenal have been more aggressive in this extra time minutes. They've been in and around the Sporting CP box more often, made several attempts and the Sporting CP goalkeeper Antonio Adan has been an absolute hero with saves after saves. Sporting CP is looking a little frustrated now and are committing fowls after fowls just to push the game to a penalty shootout.
It's all over now and now to the shootout. Who will proceeded and which goalkeeper would save the day because, I really think its up to the goalkeeper's right now with the players all edging to score.

Sure I didn't as all my tickets are made lost tickets just because Arsenal which is suffering and most likely the game will end at penalties.Maybe Arsenal took it easy by doing so but they are not only compromising their Europa League campaign,they are also putting at risk their Premier League campaign as the players,well most players from Arsenal will be tired and they risk to not make a good performance against Everton just a couple of days after this game,the players have not enough time to recover.If Arsenal had won I would have made a lot of money as I had a good parlay with odds of over 20 as Juventus won,Feynoord won and both teams to score and also Bayern Leverkussen won,damn you Arsenal.

Manchester United have already done there bit with Real Betis but, I'm looking at this Arsenal 1:1 Sporting match right now and I keep getting the feeling that Manchester United would have done a better job. They won't have let this game come this far but Arsenal is just lagging behind and are letting Sporting CP decide how the game goes. They've got some good chance in this second half, like the one presented to Vieira but, he went for a back flick instead of taking the shot himself and that was a waste of a good opportunity.
Should Sporting CP manage to get a good counter attack, they might be able to get something and that might as well be game over with Arsenal having to focus there energy on the premier league.

Its already extra time, this game is going crazy right now, a team that is leading all of Premier League is having hard time beating Lisbon, which we all assumed they would easily win, they are easily beating other great teams anyway, so this should have been easy normally, but after two 90 minute games back to back, they are still tied to each other and now we are going to extra time. No other shocking result happened as far as I can see from the cup, all the other games were won by the teams that were favorited by bookmakers, so this is the only one that is unexpected so far.

In the coming 90 minutes, the game will end and the result will still be 1-1 between the two teams, since Arsenal is currently the top team in the premier league right now, and they have been putting in a good performance with Arteta from the beginning of the season. At the beginning of the season, I thought I would see Arselan winning this match, but now they are in trouble and even have the chance of losing this match to Sporting, despite the fact that it is an away game.
