But there was something strange in that match, where Maguire played as a lone striker and it was a good decision by their coach Erik ten Hag, because the coach didn't want to bother goalkeeper David de Gea, if when playing Maguire in that match, then that's why Erik ten Hag plays Maguire as the spearhead for MU, so that the Enemy goalkeeper gets pressure from Maguire when playing as a lone striker, maybe this is the moment where I laugh when I see this player when played by MU...
Lol, I think Ten Hag doesn't have any choice since Antony, Martial and Sancho are injured, that's why Garnacho was played too. Previously at the early matches on Premier League, Ten Hag put Eriksen at center forward too, but it's quite surprising to see Maguire played at center forward. I think he just want to try and heard people opinion who usually say Maguire should play either at central attacking midfielder or striker rather than defender.

Although Manchester United able to beat Real Sociedad, but Manchester United can't overtake Real Sociedad position since the goal difference of Manchester United is smaller.

The fun of the day that cracked the hell outta me rib's was seeing Harry Maguire being used as a striker partner for Cristiano Ronaldo  Grin
I'd lie if that wasn't laughable, although I understand Manchester United needed a goal so they could go top of the group, using Harry Maguire as a means of his height failed still. He is no United type of player please, that Harry Maguire of a guy pretty sucks.
Apparently I missed a funny part here. Maguire's place in ManU is the captain of the benches, otherwise, the match will not end good Roll Eyes

Arsenal have seemed to be the biggest contender for the Europa League title until this point. However things might change after the teams from the Champions League join this arena.

There are really challenging opponents for Arsenal on paper. But it is all about a prediction of course. We don't know yet how much these teams will fight for the title. One thing is certain that the Europa League will have a quite bigger quality with the additions of those teams. We might see a finale between quite powerful teams and teams that deserve the Champions League normally. For now, I see Barcelona as the most competitive team for the title. Because this time I will be expecting them to be more passionate here. It'd be pretty nice for their finances as well.
Arsenal always score in the first half and that's something to watch out for for all teams. The attack line led by Martin Odegard, Martinelli, and Saka is very dangerous for the opponent's defense. I can't wait to see Arsenal play in the Champions League next season. For Barcelona after being eliminated, they suffered a lot of losses, especially from the sponsors.
Arsenal are currently in great form in the Champions League. Arsenal players have performed brilliantly in every match. One of the best aspects of their game is that they always like to play offensively. Arsenal's forwards are very attacking players Due to their attacking play, the team management of the opposite team came into the field with a new plan I think every player at Arsenal has a very good understanding which is why they are able to show such good skills on the pitch.Let's hope Arsenal continue their great form.

PSV, Rennes, Roma, Union, ManU, Midtjylland, Nantes and Monaco will know which teams they will face next Monday and the games will take place later in February.
Those that will face Barcelona and Juve in particular at this stage, will regret finishing second in the group stage!

I had a good time chuckling to what you said. How the bloody hell can Ten Hag do that when he has youngins to come on from the bench ? He was just so clumsy to even pass the ball or barely run with full pace that night. And you're very correct about Harry Maguire a good coach should know he deserves to sit on the bench, I'm very sure he will never make it into Pep Guardiola's team nor Jurgen Klopp's by mistake.

I'm watch Erik Ten Hag, he should be careful of the players he gives full game time to play, especially those that performs less for the club. I look back to all Jose Mourinho said bout some Manchester United player's and all of those were completely fact's.

Erik Ten Hag should rely on Rashford for goals in a full season, it's take him another 25 before he completes another 100 for Manchester United ? He needs to do more please.

Manchester United finished up second in group E, they won their match against Real Sociedad with a 1-0 victory after Ganarcho scored the only goal at the 17th minutes of the first half. Real Sociedad came the first in group E using goal difference to pass Man u,as they both have 15 points.

The match was impressive and Man united played well, Ronaldo tried in his performance yesterday as he was the one that made the goal assist. We are looking forward to the knockout stage which I believe Man united will win both matches, home and away. Kuddos to De Gea as he did a wonderful stop in the match

Wasn't really that chanced last night to follow the game, but I got to the point Lisandro Martinez was booked for that agresion on Real Sociedad player.

Was impressed with the Alejandro Garnacho goal, that was his first goal for Manchester United and also assisted by Cristiano Ronaldo.
The next stage is the knock out meetings, we'll Gon see how they treat

Honestly I still see Arsenal as the biggest favourite.

They have already proven how serious they are by their effort in the group stage. They don't just care about the Premier League title now. They are caring about the Europa League quite much as well. No matter how many strong teams coming from the Champions League, Arsenal are still the biggest favourite in my opinion. By the way, bookmakers are also thinking the same actually. However they have the same odd with Barcelona for the title which is 5.00. A finale like Barcelona - Arsenal would be really lovely.

Of all the remaining teams, Arsenal make the best impression. I just don't know if that's worth much. We now also have a number of teams from the Champions League that are also very reputable. What about teams like Barcelona, Juventus and Ajax? Arsenal would have a hard time with that. It seems to be an interesting tournament for the dropouts from the CL and this year it also seems to be much stronger than last year. It is especially disappointing for Barcelona that they have now been sentenced to play in the Europa League for the second year in a row after already being knocked out in the Champions League group stage. But, if Barcelona can win a prize it is in this tournament, the Champions League would be impossible to win.

most likely arsenal is able to give a surprise this season but yes as you said the europa league the arrival of the big teams that fell from the UCL. Juventus and Barcelona will provide strong competition for Manchester United, Union Berlin and Arsenal in the race for the Europa League title this season. Even the non-seeded teams deserve to be counted as teams that are able to put pressure on the favorite teams as title winners. Barcelona may be trying hard to become Europa champions this season because Xavi wants to prove his coaching qualities to the world public that he can give Barcelona the title this season.

Of course the odds will drop a bit when some Champions League teams join in. But this will certainly be much more interesting in my opinion because the title competition this season will definitely be very tight.

About Barcelona, Juventus, Ajax are things that will probably make the chances of the other European League seeded teams in the group stage a bit down. But it's precisely like this that you don't see Arsenal being able to relax if they want to win the title. Barcelona are a good team, but in Europe they are uncertain because of their form.

The defense was unlike it yesterday it was shaky honestly if they play against Aston Villa this way then it is possible they will not keep a clean sheet. Good win for them, they preceded to the next stage
With Varane out with injury I think this is the team that will play Aston Villa except Bruno who is out due ban after gotten his fifth consecutive yellow card against West Ham since Ten Hag prefers Lindelof over Maguire. Although the approach will change since Aston Villa are different team compare to Real Sociedad. Aston Villa loves to sit back a little so it will be a hard game for united but they will win.

The win wasn't what United want since it couldn't grant them the direct qualification to the round of 16 now they have to do that through playoffs which means congestion of fixtures for them

This is also intended so that their players are better prepared to continue the Premier League because there will be a big match for Arsenal this week.
But even then they seem to be stronger and still win in this match which keeps them firmly at the top of the group standings even though there are no additional goals but looking at their match it is clear this is something very deserved and a deserved win too.

Arsenal who appear at home to difficulty scoring goals. whereas, apart from winning possession of the ball, Arsenal had many opportunities. however, unfortunately they were not able to increase the number of goals. despite winning narrowly and locking the top of this group. even so, this result did not match the expectations of the Gunners supporters.

however, it is understandable if Arteta did not field a full starting line-up for this match. the reason is, they will play a tough match this week which will travel to Stamford Bridge, Chelsea's headquarters. naturally, if Mikel Arteta saves the energy of their core players during the match against Zurich.

I think this is quite reasonable because considering that in this match Arsenal played most of their substitutes and on the other hand the match in the Europa League they were not too focused on considering they were safe enough to be at the top so it didn't really matter what the result was they would still qualify. .
Their focus remains Chelsea of course and in this case I saw some news saying that now Kepa and Chilwell are in danger of not playing and this means Arsneal's chances are bigger to win.

The thing was that Sociedad didnt need to win that game. They just need to prevent Manchester United from scoring further. If Manchester United had scored another goal then both teams would have been at exactly the same 8 goals differences thus both teams have the same chance to take the 1st spot to get to 1/8 finals instead of 1/16 finals
So, in the end Manchester United failed to get the first place to qualify for 1/8 because the goal difference. Real Sociedad rightfully claim their place at 1/8 after making Manchester United only score one goal during the game, even if Sociedad lose then they qualify safely. Next, Manchester United have to get into the playoffs right? so this must be something that might be unexpected since they have to determine it there.

I would like to congratulate Alejandro Garnacho. A talented young man from Argentina who idolizes Cristiano Ronaldo.
knowing the rivalry that has existed between Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo as two really good players that played in the same era, it's really nice to see that an Argentine can still idolize a Portuguese. I read this

If it is true the hate they have for him did not affect his good career, but that's really bad and against the message of this sport, an activity that has United people from different places.
I believe that we shouldn't really be considering this is due to any of the players. I do not think that Messi would want anyone to hate Ronaldo, and I do not think that Ronaldo would want you to hate Messi.

This is a national stuff, like in my nation we literally do not televise a whole another nations games because we see them as national enemy, and historically we fought that’s true but that was like 100+ years ago, and we still do not put their games on TV, that doesn't mean regular people dislike each other, we don't care, it’s the media basically. I believe that Messi and Ronaldo may not be friends, but they respect each other a lot, and that’s what matters.

It is true that Arsenal played very well. They have been playing consistently well in both the Premier League and Europa League. And the performance of their attacking players is excellent. They are able to score a lot of goals due to their strong attack. As if Arsenal is the most worthy team to win the Europa League title. Arsenal will be champions of the Europa League this season if they can maintain consistency
I feel Arsenal's chances of reaching the Europa League final this season will be very smooth. They've done really well all season and they've won a lot of games, of course because of that I think Arsenal will be the big favorites in the game to win it. It would be very interesting if one of the teams that failed in the Champions League could meet Arsenal in the Europa League regardless of whether it's Barcelona or whatever, it would definitely be fun to wait for.

We may know that Arsenal is the most consistent team so far in the Premier League and Europa League, especially in terms of performance. This allows people so much to think about how big the chances of a win for Arsenal are that it's definitely hard to ignore.

David de Gea and Alejandro Garnacho became players who were instrumental for Manchester United beating Real Sociedad. As a Manchester United fan, I would like to congratulate Alejandro Garnacho. A talented young man from Argentina who idolizes Cristiano Ronaldo.
Garnancho is like a player who in fact he dares to attack into the opponent's defense and is not selfish especially he is a young player. I hope that Garnancho is often played by Tan Hag, hopefully next year he will get a golden boy.
on the other hand De Gea goalkeeper who deserves to enter the Spanish national team for the World Cup. Evidently in every match he managed to make unexpected saves.

After God David De Gea is the next to save people especially every single player for Man United it's a shame that the coach failed to pick him for the world Cup which will start in the next 8 day's. Garnacho was responsible for the only goal for man utd and the single goal was not enough to make them leaders of that group since what needed was two goals.

I wouldn’t exactly place David de Gea next to God in terms of saving people but I get your point. In the last match against Real Sociedad, the pressure was on Manchester United as Real Sociedad played a fast paced ball and had Manchester United running round the pitch.

David de Gea was very instrumental in Manchester United 1-0 win as he saved a lot of goal bound shots played in by Real Sociedad. Having more shots and goal bound shots shows Real Sociedad to be the aggressor in the game.

That was a complete joke I did there don't take it just too serious, did you by in any way laughed to the joke, still playing around right now. De Gea did well. The defense was unlike it yesterday it was shaky honestly if they play against Aston Villa this way then it is possible they will not keep a clean sheet. Good win for them, they preceded to the next stage

I agree with the opinions on Juventus. However I still see them among the title contenders in the Europa League honestly.

I'm aware of the injury situation at the team now. They are dealing with many players who are injured at the moment and this is another big factor that is holding them back. Their performance while not having this many injuries wasn't very impressive too though. But I started to see some improvement by Juventus in the Serie A recently. They started a winning streak I mean. This is a good sign for the future hopefully. They have a good squad to be able to win the Europa League title also actually. There is a lot of time for next round matches and the injured players can heal until then. After that I will be hoping them to show a good performance here. Allegri just needs to be as successful as possible to remain at the team.
