Beating Liverpool and City is amazing, but who hasn't United defeated in their history? This is their mainstay, not Ten Hag's feat. He only won the League Cup and FA Cup in two seasons. For a club like United, that's not exactly groundbreaking
All this "building a foundation" talk? Please relax. United's issues go beyond a few dismal seasons. Ten Hag organises them, but does that matter? They were messy before he arrived. Their performance is now average. Three finals in two seasons is fantastic, but silverware matters more, and a League Cup and FA Cup won't do
If Ten Hag can develop a Premier League-challenging squad, we can talk about "embers" and "resurgence." Until then, it's just a slow burn to...more mediocrity
I understand that. But Erik Ten Hag knows the club lacks standard and also depth and at the same time, Manchester United has got low quality players still in this same Manchester United squad. Until, they bring higher level and quality players who want to fight from the start of the game to the end, they'll never win the Premier League Competition.
If you notice this season, they're trying to assemble a strong squad. There's nothing that is happening right now that didn't happen to Sir Alex Ferguson years ago.
Players like, Christian Erikson, Aaron Wan Bisakka, Jadon Sancho, Marcus Rashford are jot players that can win Manchester United the Premier League Competition.
I wonder if they don't go back to watch ex players like Wayne Rooney, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Ruud Van Nistelrooy running the Premier League defenders down. How about, Carlos Tevez, Rooney and Ronaldo including J-S Park?
Don't forget what Ralf Rangnick said about this Manchester United squad before he left the club. Eric Ten Hag is no magician, he needs a great and technically sound squad to carry out and execute his tactics. I understand why he wants his previous Ajax players right now.
