This time we can't tell whether Atalanta will be the first team to break Bayern Leverkusen's winning record of the season. What I do know is going to be a tough final match between both teams since it's been a long while since both teams lifted a trophy for themselves. Although Leverkusen is on the verge of winning the German Bundesliga of the season. Atalanta on the other hand, has no trophy aiming for the season apart from this(Europa League). This is their first time reaching the finals of the Europa League, while Leverkusen lifted it once.

In the second match, Alonso focused on maintaining the result that was achieved in the first match, such a strategy is also acceptable, the most important thing is that it brought results. As for Roma, they should have played better at home, by the way, I expected a much better game from them in Rome, but after the defeat, I said that de Rossi would not be able to come back from two goals, in away match. And although Roma was very close to this, they could not do it. For me, Real and Bayer have different playing styles, but I would like to watch the match between these teams to understand how strong Bayer is now.

Leverkusen records currently 50 times unbeated and this is very fantastics because i am sure these records will be hard to surpassed by other teams in Europa and if we talking about Leverkusen performance in this competition indeed they are deserved to called as Champion candidate because since group stages Leverkusen performance is very consistent and since knock out phase Leverkusen can beat strong opponents such as West Ham and Roma and even yesterday in the second leg Leverkusen is very fantastic because after conceded 2 goals Leverkusen can equalized the scores and playing draw from Roma

About Atalanta their manager Gian Piero Gasperini was confirmed at the beginning of tournament Atalanta was never targetting the trophy because he know at Europa League there are plenty of strong teams available but as dark horses team surprisingly this team can able reach to the final match and if i am not mistaken this is the first time Atalanta has reached a final match in a European competition so i think their target will change now because i am sure Atalanta want to gets the trophy from this competition and i know Leverkusen is the favourite but i think Atalanta will be hard struggling to win this match too and it's very interesting to know who is the champion of Europa League later

Expected something like this. And I don’t think it was only me. The cousin has performed in this season, this was expected that they are going to go forward to the final of the Europa League competition. That’s why I said that Roma should actually concentrate on the Italian league a lot more after they lost the first leg against Leverkusen. now Leverkusen is going to play in the final of the Europa League competition against Atalanta. And I actually see Leverkusen winning the final as well the way they have performed in this season, there is no reason to doubt them at all. The thing is, they will play the Europa League final on the 23rd May and they will play the DFB pokal final on the 26th May. So that might be a little bit of a problem for Leverkusen. But I still think that they will be able to win both the finals.

Leverkusen vs Atlanta will be a highly anticipated final but as you said of course Leverkusen will 90% win the game and bring this season Europa League trophy to Germany, after all the favourites have been eliminated except Leverkusen of course there is no better option than betting for Leverkusen victory in the final match later,  At the moment we all can't doubt the quality and also the pretty good performance from Leverkusen throughout the season so I think it will be difficult for Atlanta to beat Leverkusen in the final, the team refuses to lose it is fitting for us to mention Leverkusen now because of the fantastic comeback they can continue to do in every game when they almost lost.

Although Leverkusen can be said to be the favorite team to win, but I hope if Atlanta can give a strong fight to Leverkusen in the final match later, so that then we will see an exciting match and also full of attacking each other, especially if Atalanta is able to make a surprise by giving Leverkusen its first defeat, isn't it be a fantastic enough thing?

As long as atalanat won't repeat the mistake being made by roma at the first leg. it must be fine. Roma was too aggresive when it was at its home game. It's kinda different with atalanta which was always playing safely through use low block. I hope atalanta will learn from roma's mistake.


You remind me when almost majority of us talked about the possibility of liverpool vs leverkusen but it was never coming true. lol All the bad stories of liverpool in the late season started from when it was losing against atalanta, then the snowball is getting even bigger for liverpool.

It seems we have to say 50+1 for Leverkusen, 1 for their never-ending luck, although on the other hand Atalanta has the attributes to give Leverkusen a painful defeat. I think the final match between Atalanta and Leverkusen is quite ideal, considering that the Serie A representatives managed to get rid of Liverpool, who were previously favorites to win the Europa League trophy this season.

For Leverkusen, facing Atalanta is clearly easier than facing a team like Liverpool, one more step for Xabi fleet to create new history after successfully locking up the Bundesliga trophy. Apart from that, it is very likely that they will also be able to achieve victory in the DFB Pokal Final, so that at the end of the season Leverkusen will record a very historic success throughout the club journey.

Xabi will certainly change his strategy for the final match, in order to avoid a painful defeat, and at the same time they must try to score a quick goal. Bayern Leverkusen has not 50 games without defeat, but 49, but still an impressive record. Yesterday when I saw the game I could not believe that Bayer could even the score with Roma, because it is the Italian teams can play from defense and park the bus in the penalty area best of all, but again on 97 minutes Bayer evened the score is really more like some kind of sports miracle. Three games in a row Bayern Leverkusen have scored crucial goals in the 97th minute against Roma, Stuttgart and Borussia Dortmund.

Atalanta will not be an easy opponent for Bayern Leverkusen because the team plays active soccer with pressing and is good at counterattacking, besides Atalanta has creative players who can score goals with their individual skills, so Bayern Leverkusen will not have an easy ride in the final and I estimate the chances of victory as 50/50.

Congratulations there man, I also gave dame prediction but didn't get to place my bets, that was much earlier before the kick off between those clubs last night. To them, it was payback to how they lost last season but I feel like Bayern Leverkusen are on another level whatever win they have or get haven't come by luck or whatever people have to say.

Maybe I was scared of saying but I really wanted them to create a new record of this unbeaten run stuff and it does seem like they will do so to set a new record different from the won Benfica did years ago.
I didn't watch the game but I didn't worry too much. Most disappointing was seeing Per Emerick Aubameyang crying after missing his road to the finals with Marseille.

I don't think he will get another chance to be in the Europa League Competition, will he? Tough finals ahead, two great attacking sides. In my head, I'm already having a super cup finals between Bayern Leverkusen and Real Madrid.

It was a wise move in the second half, for Bayer Leverkusen to equalized the goals Roma secure to eliminate Bayer Leverkusen from the semi-final stage but the draw game made Roma to fall out from the stage.  

Despite my favourite team won the semi-final game, I will celebrate Roma players for the good performance from the beginning of the game to secured 2 goals to make the Bayer Leverkusen fans feel some cold weather in their bodies based on the performance Roma showcased in the field.

The goal Bayer Leverkusen scored in the extra time to qualified for final stage, made many people to believe that they will lift this trophy in the final stage because Atalanta will not block them not to achieve victory from the final game.

Once again Leverkusen would be tested to preserve their unbeaten, and win the trophy. Atlanta seems to be a weaker opponent, but in football nobody is to be underestimated.

Almost everyone including myself and bookmakers already believes that Bayer Leverkusen will get the better of their UEFA Europa League final opponent Atalanta when they face each other at Aviva Stadium in Dublin come May 22nd. The German Bundesliga champions after their result yesterday against Roma are now the club with the longest unbeaten streak in the history of European football after they came from 2 goals down against Roma yesterday to snatch a stoppage time equalizer. Bayer Leverkusen is trying to achieve what I don't think anyone would have ever predicted they can achieve at the start of the season and they're just four games away from winning the German DFB-POKAL Cup, finishing their league season without conceding a defeat and winning the Europa League title.
Atalanta will surely be doing their best to win the competition as well when the two clubs meet each other later this month but I'll bank my money on Bayer Leverkusen to win the trophy

I understand your point and almost everyone thinks the same thing including me but when these 2 teams reach the final then the chances are not much different, Leverkusen does look stronger and ready but in the last match yesterday they only played a draw this means that Leverkusen's defense can still be disturbed. Atalanta also has a good record in the quarter finals when they kicked Liverpool out even when playing away, I don't think this can be underestimated.

What is clear is that when both teams reach the final, we cannot underestimate either of them because they are the best team of all the teams in this competition. We really don't know what scenario will happen, whether through a penalty shootout or just in regular time. Leverkusen always relies on dangerous attacks and Atalanta relies on strong defense then the question is who is luckier.

When Leverkusen have lost but they continue to be able to comeback even if it's just a draw but this is something different from Leverkusen now where they still refuse to lose let alone compete for the Final so that's something different but I also won't underestimate the representative from Serie A and Atalanta is an underdog team full of surprises.

I can't imagine how AS Roma are already two goals up with two penalties, while Leverkusen's first goal was a mistake from a Roma player and the second goal in the 90+7th minute was a surprise or even a miracle that Leverkusen were able to reply again.

What is clear is that I also want to know Alatanta's performance so far in the Final, if we lose it is normal for us because we still think Leverkusen will be the winner in the final.

You are so right about Leverkusen! So great to see them play so well this season. They are very tough and skilled, because Bayern Munich couldnt even make a dent in them. I wouldnt be surprised at all if they won the Europa League. Those efforts late in the game? Cant be beat, keeps you on the edge of your seat.

Dont forget about Atalanta. They've been pulling off big shocks, beating teams like Liverpool and Marseille. Even the best teams can be caught off guard by that kind of attack. I cant wait to see how they plan to beat Leverkusen; it could decide the whole game.

The whole discussion is going the wrong direction because you only have to look at the close results that Leverkusen sometimes had even against Qarabag. If Qarabag is able to almost beat Leverkusen and if Roma is close to pushing the game into overtime after losing 0-2 at home, of course Atalanta has a very fair chance to win the game.

The Liverpool vs. Leverkusen story will remain unanswered as we won't get to see the final. I only know that for some reason Liverpool's performance went South and they lost it all within a short period of time. 2 wins out of 5 games in the Premier League and bam the title was gone.

Liverpool has been performing well since the group stage of the Europa League, but they were unable to qualify for the final against Bayern Leverkusen. I don't think they can face Bayern Leverkusen in the final; instead, let's see if Atalanta can defeat Leverkusen in the final and win the trophy, but everyone knows that Leverkusen is the favourite to win. I believe Roma will have luck and win the Leverkusen game 2-0, but Leverkusen is superior than them in the tournament. in my opinion, Xabi will undoubtedly win the title. Atalanta are doing well, but Leverkusen are better than them in the competition. in my opinion i beleave xabi will definitely win the tittle, Atalanta is doing well, but Leverkusen is outperforming them this season. I don't see any match that Leverkusen will play that would cause them to lose a game. It appears that Leverkusen will finish the season without losing a game, which is a wonderful performance against Xabi Alonso this time. If they have the opportunity to beat Atalanta in the final, the Europa League will be their second title. if they get the opportunity and win Atalanta in the final.

luck came when Xabi became Leverkusen coach with a strategy of holding a draw if he was unable to beat his opponent.
this is what I like about Xabi strategy style which can help Leverkusen create new history.

well, that's what I mean as I said above, if Xabi strategy pattern is to choose to provide a safe performance to maintain the points that Leverkusen has so that every Leverkusen match will definitely always get satisfactory results, even though sometimes it only ends in a draw, but at least Leverkusen really cares about it maintain consistency.
It's not just Leverkusen way of attacking that looks great, but the cooperation between the defenders makes me amazed that Leverkusen is like Real Madrid, with a playing style that is almost the same as you said.
