Atalanta, an excellent showing on the way to a 3-0 win at Anfield last week meant that they already had one foot in the semi-finals. Atalanta progressed to the Europa League semi-finals with a 3-1 aggregate score against Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool, despite falling to a 1-0 defeat in Bergamo on yesterday night. Atalanta's performance was disciplined, hard-fought and probably deserving of a draw in Bergamo. Atalanta will now face Ligue 1 side Marseille in the Europa League semi-finals on May 2 and May 9.

I would never have bet a euro on Liverpool's elimination at the hands of Atalanta, in my opinion they have made a real sporting miracle, for me Liverpool was the team that would have won the Europa League. Now we have two beautiful semi-finals

Marseille - Atalanta
Roma - Bayern Leverkusen

In your opinion who will go to the final? As an Italian I hope Atalanta - Roma but in my opinion the final will be Atalanta - Bayern Leverkusen What do you think?
We never knew that the first leg was an Atalanta miracle because they won at Anfield 3-0, I think it was impossible at the beginning but the incident where Liverpool were humiliated, I'm really disappointed with the result.

The Serie A representatives are two clubs, but I'm not so sure the team will reach the final maybe the biggest chance is Alatanta? Still questionable.

Atalanta vs Leverkusen is more realistic than Roma vs Alatanta hahaha. I think almost everyone says the biggest candidate is Leverkusen who are still an unbeaten club.

Bayern Leverkusen are obviously the number one candidate for the Europa League final victory, but Roma are not easy to beat. My predictions may lead you to think they are unrealistic, but if Atalanta managed to humiliate Liverpool then I think against Marseille it could be a walk in the park in comparison. Obviously the field will speak, we can only make assumptions

The problem is that they aggregate 3 goals from Atalanta. So, to be honest, it will be very difficult for Liverpool to turn things around. Even if it can, it means that Atalanta is really too bad, to be able to suffer an epic comeback like that.
Jorgen Klopp made a very huge mistake in the first leg of their game Liverpool against Atlanta in his start X1 of that game and here he is in the second  leg  battling to correct that mistake tonight which for me I strongly believe it's not going to be achievable getting a 0:3 comeback at Atlanta home despite their good stats in this game in all ramifications. Liverpool could win the game for which they are already leading with a 1 goal but they can't win to an aggregate that will match to their first leg loss or more,  to be qualified to the next  round of the Europa.
Exactly. It cannot be denied that in the first leg. Liverpool wasted a lot of opportunities. And that's very unfortunate. In fact, of the many opportunities, none of them became goals. Even though they also dominate farming. On the contrary, they were crushed by Atalanta with 3 goals. Liverpool is quite bad at counter-attack defense. Yes, that was a fatal mistake, as a result, Klopp was still unable to bring Liverpool an epic comeback in the second leg. which resulted in Liverpool's elimination from the Europe League. It's a shame, even though this is Klopp's last season at Liverpool, he failed to get the trophy. And in fact, it is also quite difficult to get the EPL trophy at the moment, because of the unexpected defeats in several recent matches.

Leverkusen vs Roma will be a great game for sure. Roma managed to beat Milan, and they are showing signs of improvement since the managerial change, which I still feel so sad for Mourinho because he is normally a great manager but we have seen them do a lot better since he left, and that hurts the reputation of Mourinho at the moment.

This will probably be a pretty intense and tight match. Let's see how Xabi manages his team to win again. because currently, even though Roma are not that strong, de Rossi is also smart enough to take advantage of and optimize the opportunities that exist. So, this will still be quite tight. Personally, I still hope that Leverkusen will qualify, I want to see how they lift the Europe League trophy this time. Although in truth, Roma also deserves this, but personally, I bet for Leverkusen.

However, I believe that Roma is still not good enough, I feel like we are going to see Leverkusen end up beating Roma on both games for sure, that seems like the most likely outcome. Of course we never know what can happen, look at how Liverpool lost, it feels like everyone thought they would win, and they still ended up losing anyway, that has to be the most important part of the struggle.

Is only Liverpool I see can defeat Leverkusen in the Europa League, but unfortunately they are known more in the competition, that means Leverkusen will definitely win the title, since the match against Atlanta vs Liverpool i say he will be very difficult to defeat Atlanta because to score three goals at Atlanta's home he won't be an easy game, they have fuckup is from the Anfield. and they can't even put one goal at home if not the penalty that m. Salah plays the match will be a draw game with aggregate of 3-0 In the second leg.

Now Klopp will depart Liverpool without winning any trophies this season. I believe Liverpool will win the Premier League trophy, but they have mistakenly lost points, leaving Arsenal and Manchester City ahead of them in the league table. And it will not be simple for him to force Manchester City to lose two games in order for Liverpool to reclaim the league title, but anything is possible as no one has won the trophy yet. He can be Liverpool or arsenal luck if Manchester City drop from the first position in the league table.

I was very surprised when Liverpool were able to score this goal and at the same time it could increase the motivation of the Reds players so they could immediately catch up with the existing aggregate difference. But it seems that the Atalanta that we know are not weak at all and instead they can correct existing mistakes so that they don't concede again. This should be appreciated considering that the pressure from Liverpool never stopped threatening Atalanta's defense.

I think Atalanta deserved to win because even if they persisted, they were enough to secure a place in the semifinals of the European League and they have not been careless for a moment since the failure that occurred. Liverpool certainly experienced immense frustration and they had to leave the European League when most people favored them to bring this cup home to Anfield.

Liverpool dominated the game in the match against Atalanta, they controlled 70% of ball possession. The goal scored by Moh Salah from the penalty spot in the 7th minute did not result in the home team conceding again. Atalanta played a little deep to defend, while Liverpool attacked the home team to increase their lead in the goal they scored in the 7th minute. But unfortunately, of the 10 attempted shots they shot, 5 were on target, 3 were big opportunities, 2 were counter attacks, but no more goals were scored except for those from the penalty spot.

In the Atalanta camp, the home team worked hard not to concede and secured a ticket to the semi-finals of the Europa League. and in the end, with the hard work they put in, Atlanta had the right to move on to the next phase. In the semifinal match, Atalanta can be said to be competing with an equal team, Marseille will be the opponent. but what is certain is that it doesn't mean that Atalanta beat Liverpool, they easily beat Marseille. What I hope is that the match between these two teams will present an exciting match. As for Liverpool, they have to forget their failure in the Europa League and focus on returning to the Premier League.

Bayer Leverkusen, West Ham 3-1 on aggregate, holding the 1-1 draw at the London Stadium in the second leg of their quarter final tie after winning the first leg 2-0 in Leverkusen. And they will be in a Europa League semi-final against Roma. This is the latest unprecedented achievement for Alonso's men this term, who secured a first-ever Bundesliga title with a 5-0 win over Werder Bremen in their last match.
Leverkusen refused to lose, there was always a chance for a late equalizer even though it was a close call I could have imagined losing to West Ham but Leverkusen pulled a goal back to remain unbeaten for this period of the season.

Surprisingly Roma were able to win with AC Milan in leg 1/2 this was something of an achievement for De Rossi the new coach who replaced Jose Mourinho but in De Rossi's hands it was much better than Mou.

Leverkusen vs AS Roma semi-final will be a challenging match compared to other matches.

Yes indeed, Bayer Leverkusen really can't accept to lose, even though for example West Ham only won with a score of 1-0 but of course Bayer Leverkusen still qualified for the semifinals because they won 2-1 on aggregate. But still, because Bayer Leverkusen really didn't want to lose, Bayer Leverkusen did their best to get a draw and thus, Bayer Leverkusen won 3-1 on aggregate. Also about AS Roma, I personally really believe AS Roma will succeed despite playing against Milan. Because after all, De Rossi really managed to improve the quality of AS Roma to be better than other Serie A teams. Therefore, I don't think it is a surprising result anymore about the success of AS Roma beating Milan in the Europa League as well.

Everyone's hopes could not come true in the Europa League this season, because we had predicted that Liverpool would be in the final, but Liverpool had to experience another fate and losing by 3 goals in the first leg was the turning point where they had to be eliminated by an Italian team. That. The hopes of Liverpool supporters to see them succeed in Jusrgen Klopp's final season must fall one by one.
It is bad for Liverpool at the moment, they have dropped out of form and both In the premier league and other competitions they are not performing so well could be due to players out injured but i feel it is due to attackers that are currently out of scoring form because they are all missing so many chances especially Nunez and Salah.

Few weeks back we all predicted Liverpool vs Leverkusen final but Liverpool failed to beat Atlanta and they got disqualified, now i hope Leverkusen will not dissappoint just as Liverpool did, i hope they go on and win the trophy to complete their unbeaten run this season.

Don't want to be sounding too direct but one team I always see in the finals is Bayern Leverkusen not because there have not lost any match but because if the zeal and the fighting spirit that team has and plus the fact that they are always in form no matter what and they always seem to get the job done. As for Liverpool, I really don't know what to say but am certain the player especially the strikers really need to up their game.

Those guys were actually not allowing Liverpool to win score any other goal after that first goal. It was actually a tough one for them. Then even with the presence of Salah things still did not go well for them but football can hardly be be predicted sometimes. And the way Liverpool lost with agg with the way they played Liverpool that club does not look weak. They played professionally so i don't see anything weak from there playing.

All the strategies thaylt Liverpool tried failed and when they scored the first goal i was already thinking that Liverpool will be able to miraculously win but they lost so they have to try again next time. This season is just to confusing.

The EPL teams are getting eliminated out of international competitions by the day. Yesterday it was Arsenal and Manchester City out of the UCL, today it’s West Ham United and Liverpool out of the Europa by Atalanta and Bayer Leverkusen. What’s become of EPL teams in internal competitions.

West Ham weren’t so good today, they didn’t do much to be more offensive and even so, they let loose some unbelievable chances like the ball that was sent flying by the eventually equalizing goal scorer for Bayer Leverkusen, that was a terrible chance to have been given away and he couldn’t take it but, still came back for a redemption mood and got his goal eventually.
Yes, it is a shame that clubs from competitive leagues have to be eliminated in all international competitions even though EPL teams are usually the favorites to win the international title, but they all have to be eliminated in the last eight. Indeed, they all have opponents that are not easy and obstacles occur when they have Entering this round, what was even more surprising was Liverpool's defeat against Atalanta, even though people predicted that Liverpool would beat Atalanta easily, but the performance of the Serie A representative club cannot be underestimated.

West Ham United has done everything well and basically Bayer Leverkusen is the strongest club currently in the Bundesliga, even Bayern Munich can't beat it, let alone West Ham, which in fact is a mediocre club so it can't beat Bayer Leverkusen even though it plays as the home team and this draw is a fair result and shows that no one has been able to beat Bayer until now.
We have all English clubs eliminated from the Champions League and Europa League with just Aston Villa remaining in competition for the conference league which is good but still it's matter of concern for them while in last season they have two winners from these three events, but now things are completely out of the way for them with they are still not doing something favourable for having better results because these teams are having heavy load which is preventing them from having anything positive in these international events.

We have West Ham which ended on draw and faced elimination as they lost first leg game same happen to Liverpool which heavily lost in first leg game and then have no chance of recovery even they were favourite for the event now we have Italian and German side which is surely having better chance as things are well under control for them to lead from the event.

We cannot conclude before watching the match as we know in the last few matches there have been many surprises even a strong team like Liverpool was predicted to reach the final but was eliminated early. We agree that for now Leverkusen takes over as the main candidate to reach the final but playing against AS Roma at home is not easy the last match was proof, even though AS Roma played with 10 players they were able to maintain their lead this means AS Roma is very strong when playing at home and I predict the first leg will probably end in a draw.

In general, the second leg is usually a deciding match well here Leverkusen has the opportunity to prove who is more worthy of advancing to the final. Talking about experience, I think both teams are at the same level it's just that Leverkusen as the home team has more advantages but yeah any greatness can be defeated with luck and we don't know where the luck will go.

Atalanta managed to maintain its 3-0 advantage, although I was excited when Salah scored an early goal in the second match, Atalanta did what needed to be done and eliminated Liverpool. I was not expecting such an ending for Liverpool, I was also eagerly waiting for the Liverpool-Bayern Leverkusen final, but Liverpool was the team that said goodbye to the Europa League early.

Klopp tried everything in the second half, brought all his attacking players into the game and increased the risk, but it did not work, Atalanta was solid in the defensive line.

Liverpool’s journey in the Europa League competition just came to an end so suddenly that I never expected it. They were the better and bigger team but they were not able to eliminate Atalanta at this round after conceding three goals in the first leg match. Atalanta was playing from home in their second leg match and since they knew Liverpool will do anything to beat them, they immediately switched to a defensive pattern of play and all of Liverpool’s struggle to increase the lead after the early first goal prove abortive. Atalanta really did well and are worth praising for the qualification above Liverpool. Liverpool will now focus fully on their premier league and see if they can bring the league home after losing a chance earlier to do so this season.

My dreams shattered after seeing Liverpool get eliminated last night...  Cry  I was hoping to see a Leverkusen v Liverpool finale a lot like many others. Salah's early goal gave me hope but we didn't see any goals later. Liverpool were even worse in the 2nd half which was unbelievable. I wouldn't expect them to give up this easy.

After Klopp changed 4 of his important players in the 2nd half I started to lose my hopes quickly about them. Klopp also looked like he accepted their destiny. Now my expectation is to see Leverkusen as the champions no matter what. The biggest surprise of the Europa League would be their elimination from now on.

Liverpool's chances had decreased significantly after the 3 goals they conceded in the first match. In fact, they were very lucky to score a goal right at the beginning of the match, but they did not play well in the rest of the match. They needed to play much more offensively, but they could not find enough scoring opportunities.
If they had played a more dominant game, maybe they could have finished the match by scoring more goals. I don't think Atalanta can be very successful in the next matches Smiley
It's true, that hope appeared when they were able to score a quick goal in the first half, but when they waited a long time to see the additional goal they scored, it didn't come until the end of this match. Just one goal win is not enough to enable them to turn things around because they need at least 3 goals to equalize first.
Atalanta was able to anticipate everything, they were able to create a fairly solid defense at the back so it was not easy for Liverpool to score additional goals in this match.
Will you call just one goal hope. I never believed that with the early goal scored with a penalty, that Liverpool still have hope of qualifying. I was even expecting Atalanta to equalize the goal, because Liverpool to me was not like a club that will score much goals in the match, based on their performance in the last two matches that was played in Anfield. Assuming Liverpool did well in the first leg, they would ha e been able to play to qualification, and Atalanta would have been scared of them.

Basically, even when the Liverpool team got the early goal I just believed that Atalanta was going to frustrate them more by packing the box because they don't want to attack so they don't end up getting punished by Liverpool, the people who predicted Liverpool to be in the finals only predicted because of their performance not considering the teams they are playing against and at the end of the day, Liverpool was punished by Atalanta as they were over confidence before the game and lost at home by 3 goals. Even when Liverpool scored the only goal, they were supposed to keep mounting pressure even when Atalanta was defending but they couldn't penetrate through the box of the Atalanta team due to the decent defensive pattern of the Atalanta defenders who made it impossible for them and this lost will serve as a lesson to Liverpool in their next season performance to be always serious when they play against strong opponents that are well experienced in the competition, it would have be easier for Liverpool to qualify if they had won at home but they lost to a team that is not doing well in their league even when they are in a better form.

Even Liverpool is having ideal season and things were going as well planned but sadly in last few games they lost their touch and have bad results which give them serious setback, and now they are eliminated from this event and their chance for the title in Premier League are also not good enough which is surely setback for them while their coach is now also having last few games as coach, and he is leaving this club after many years of job.
It will certainly be a bitter memory for Klopp because he left Liverpool without an important title from the UEL and also the EPL only got the Carabao Cup title, so clearly Liverpool have failed enough to get satisfactory results this season because they are competing in the EPL in the remaining games at the end of the season. It is difficult to catch up on the points difference unless Manchester City stumbles and makes mistakes, because Manchester City's path is not difficult and makes it easy for them to be consistent until the end of the season.

Liverpool's failure in the UEL is certainly an opportunity for Leverkusen to be able to compete with the remaining teams currently, where of course the fight for the UEL title is very important for them, As Roma is also a difficult opponent for Leverkusen, I'm sure the semi-finals will be an interesting match to watch. because De Rossi of course as the new coach at As Roma will show his quality as a coach and also Xabi Alonso will certainly show the best game of his team at Leverkusen who have become Bundesliga champions this season, of course the target of getting a treble winner is hoped by Xabi Alonso.

That is quite heavy for Liverpool in the first leg to be left far enough behind so it will be difficult to catch up even Atalanta will not let it go.
In the second leg we know Liverpool are quite dominant in the game but their attack can still be said to be bad, nothing deadly, only the one goal from the white dot the rest with a long time Liverpool could not score again.

I thought Liverpool would have more goals but what we thought was wrong, the substitutions did not change the situation.
Atalanta just need to get past Marseille into the final, it's even I guess.

In my opinion, this was a surprise, because they were able to win the match in the second leg. Even though in the first leg Liverpool suffered an absolute defeat by conceding 3 goals to Atalanta, they were able to balance it out in the second leg. It is true that there were no deadly attacks from Liverpool in yesterday's match, but even so, with the final result, I don't think it was too bad because they tried their best.

Indeed, after their first leg, where Liverpool lost by 3 goals, I thought Liverpool would not be able to win the second leg, but it turned out that was wrong. Liverpool can win even if it's a goal from the penalty spot. Maybe Liverpool weren't too confident because they lost their first match in the first leg and conceded quite a lot.
