In the previous match for the first leg, Liverpool performed poorly, losing the home match with big score of 0 - 3 to Atalanta and with this defeat, Liverpool suffered loss on aggregate.
Next, Liverpool will finish the quarter-final match in the second leg away and this is quite stressful condition for Klopp squad because they have to win and be seeded within 4 points to enter the semifinals.
But logically Liverpool should be able to achieve this victory, but what is impossible is to win with 4 goal advantage away from home, if it is only narrow win it might still be possible, but chasing 3 points is difficult.
There is no other way for Klopp to prepare Liverpool for the match and the only effort is to use full performance by placing all the main players, although this does not guarantee that they will have good enough strength.
We don't know what will happen later, we just see how Klopp and Liverpool finish their match.
Atalanta have been an improving side overtime. They've had some rough edges but their performance in the league is still seen. Even though they may not be top trophy contenders, they're trying to stay in the domestic league instead of relegating. They'll be playing against Liverpool in the next phase of the UEL and goodnews is they've been able to gather enough confidence and momentum for the game which still puts them in and advantageous spot of finishing with a tangible result regardless.
Of both teams, there's struggle atmosphere present and even though Liverpool won't take mercy with them, the both teams will strive to see that they either win or get a draw at the end of the first leg. One would have to wait patiently for the game's final result. There'll definitely be an advancement of either teams after the second leg of the contest. The EPL is competitive too and so focus should be put in it but the UEL trophy to me would actually have more worth than the EPL.
Sadly the first leg ended shamefully for Liverpool as they lost big at home to Atalanta and this only gives the Italian side extra courage to battle out the second leg strongly tomorrow. Liverpool has all it took to suppress their opponent and yes majority envisioned an encounter this season against Liverpool and Leverkusen but sadly I don't think it'll happen. Liverpool are an extra goal below cos of aggregates and it'll really take a miracle that they play Atalanta today without letting them net a goal and they covering up the pending goals too. The outcome so far has given Leverkusen the confidence to forge ahead for the trophy too, well it'll be everly glorious that they secure the two trophies this season. It only shows how prepared they were/are and will be for the battle.
In Serie A, Atalanta is team that is not very stable, but in the European League they have proven that the results of the Domestic League can never influence the results of other competitions.
Today Atalanta proved their success in advancing to the semifinals after winning 3 - 1 on aggregate against Liverpool in the quarter-finals, Atalanta game today in defense was truly extraordinary.
Next, they will face Marseille in the semifinals and there is chance that Atalanta can qualify for the final because previously they were able to win against Liverpool.
Now Liverpool can focus on the Premier League considering that they are 2 points behind Manchester City who have managed to top the standings and Liverpool chances for the Premier League are also getting smaller.
In other matches, Leverkusen is now also in the semifinals against Roma, the match could be very interesting considering that Roma also appeared full of surprises for the Europa League.
I will still make Leverkusen the favorite and they will definitely be in the final.
