My dreams shattered after seeing Liverpool get eliminated last night...  Cry  I was hoping to see a Leverkusen v Liverpool finale a lot like many others. Salah's early goal gave me hope but we didn't see any goals later. Liverpool were even worse in the 2nd half which was unbelievable. I wouldn't expect them to give up this easy.

After Klopp changed 4 of his important players in the 2nd half I started to lose my hopes quickly about them. Klopp also looked like he accepted their destiny. Now my expectation is to see Leverkusen as the champions no matter what. The biggest surprise of the Europa League would be their elimination from now on.

Liverpool's chances had decreased significantly after the 3 goals they conceded in the first match. In fact, they were very lucky to score a goal right at the beginning of the match, but they did not play well in the rest of the match. They needed to play much more offensively, but they could not find enough scoring opportunities.
If they had played a more dominant game, maybe they could have finished the match by scoring more goals. I don't think Atalanta can be very successful in the next matches Smiley
It's true, that hope appeared when they were able to score a quick goal in the first half, but when they waited a long time to see the additional goal they scored, it didn't come until the end of this match. Just one goal win is not enough to enable them to turn things around because they need at least 3 goals to equalize first.
Atalanta was able to anticipate everything, they were able to create a fairly solid defense at the back so it was not easy for Liverpool to score additional goals in this match.
Everyone's hopes could not come true in the Europa League this season, because we had predicted that Liverpool would be in the final, but Liverpool had to experience another fate and losing by 3 goals in the first leg was the turning point where they had to be eliminated by an Italian team. That. The hopes of Liverpool supporters to see them succeed in Jusrgen Klopp's final season must fall one by one.
Will you call just one goal hope. I never believed that with the early goal scored with a penalty, that Liverpool still have hope of qualifying. I was even expecting Atalanta to equalize the goal, because Liverpool to me was not like a club that will score much goals in the match, based on their performance in the last two matches that was played in Anfield. Assuming Liverpool did well in the first leg, they would ha e been able to play to qualification, and Atalanta would have been scared of them.

That is quite heavy for Liverpool in the first leg to be left far enough behind so it will be difficult to catch up even Atalanta will not let it go.
In the second leg we know Liverpool are quite dominant in the game but their attack can still be said to be bad, nothing deadly, only the one goal from the white dot the rest with a long time Liverpool could not score again.

I thought Liverpool would have more goals but what we thought was wrong, the substitutions did not change the situation.
Atalanta just need to get past Marseille into the final, it's even I guess.

Many big ifs for Liverpool like if in a first match, they could score one or two goals or avoid one less conceded goal, their fate will be different in the second leg. In the second leg, it they can score a second goal, it will be different too.

All these conditions did not happen and Liverpool lost against Atalanta in a deserved way. They will return to Premier League with disadvantage against two competitors, Manchester City and Arsenal. Liverpool have some last matches in Premier League to find their chances for winning a league trophy but they will have to surpass Arsenal, then Manchester City to win it.

All three competitors of Premier League title now are only focusing on the domestic league and it means Liverpool have less chances to take over a second and first position from two competitors.

there is no need to be sad or regret what has happened because since the first leg it was clear that Klopp mistake was underestimating Atalanta and saving his main player to replace another player in the second half and that was a really bad mistake.
If only in the first leg Klopp had used Salah as the main player, there would definitely be hope that teamwork would be as strong as usual, but if Salah entered the field in the second half it would definitely be more difficult to set a strategy to score because the other players were already there more tired were unable to provide support to Salah and ended scoreless in the first leg.
TBH, I also want to see Leverkusen performance when they face Liverpool, but seeing the formation used by Klopp makes me doubtful.

and from Liverpool failure, I just want to know who at that time here said that Roma would not be able to overcome the difficulties in this quarter final and I still remember someone saying that Roma or Milan would not be able to qualify, but the fact is that Roma is very confident to continued the positive trend in the semi finals.

In my opinion, Atalanta will play more defensively, they won't expose themselves so much to Liverpool, who will surely make pressure for a quick goal
It's normal not to expose yourself so much, especially playing at home with a good goal advantage
I think Atalanta will qualify, but Liverpool can win the match 1x0 or even 2x0

The odds for Atalanta qualify is only 1.15, I don't think I'll do this one, maybe Liverpool win paying 1.66

I'm pretty happy with my prediction hehehe  Cheesy
Liverpool did some pressure, got a quick goal and made us believe that qualification was possible
But it's not easy to score a lot of goals against an Italian team playing at home

All English teams are out of the main continental competitions

The Europa League is still quite interesting
I'll think about my next bets, but it seems inevitable to think about a final between Leverkusen and Atalanta

Marseille has a winning mentality. They lost 1-2 in the first leg and managed to win 1-0 in the second leg and qualified for the semifinals via a penalty shootout. Marseille and Atalanta are 2 teams that were previously underestimated. This is an interesting match as the two underdog teams meet each other in the semifinals.

~Snip
Yes, I also didn't expect Atalanta and Marseille to qualify for the Europa League semifinals. Because as you said, these two teams are not too favored teams to make it this far in the European league. However, since the European League started, Atalanta and Marseille have proven their quality. The reason is that in the group stage, Atalanta managed to become the top of group D, without experiencing defeat. And Marseille also managed to become runner up in group B with 1 defeat. So since the start of this competition, Atalanta and Marseille have experienced very good development. Because if you look at the achievements of Atalanta and Marseille in their respective domestic leagues, the results are not good. However, in this European League competition, Atalanta and Marseille produced results that far exceeded expectations.

And unfortunately these two teams had to meet in the semifinals. Because maybe it would be more exciting if, for example, Atalanta and Marseille met in the final round. Apart from that, in the first leg match, I personally predict that Marseille will definitely have a big chance of winning. The reason is, the first leg match will be held at Marseille headquarters. So Marseille definitely gets more benefits. Because if we look at Marseille's match against Benfica, in the first leg Marseille lost at Benfica's headquarters. However, in the second leg, Marseille was able to win the match. And this of course cannot be separated from the influence of the mentality of the Marseille players who are better because they are playing at home.

Now Italy and Germany will retain the first two places in the UEFA club rankings and will receive 5 tickets to the Champions League, while the Premier League will remain with 4. Few people believed that all English clubs would reach the finals, but probably even fewer believed that they would all be knocked out in two days.

Bayer broke Juventus' record and I think it will stand for many years, if not decades - 44 games without defeat is incredibly difficult to repeat at the level of the top 5 leagues in Europe.

This is definitely a heavy blow to the EPL who have at least four clubs battling the last four place and the fifth place was suppose to be a gift for them but right now it’s Ovey for them. Clubs like Manchester United and Newcastle were actually looking towards snatching that place off and qualifying to the Champions League. Not only that the last place in the club World Cup has been handed over to RB Salsburg after Arsenal who were deemed to fill the last place failed to make it to the last 4 of the champions league.

Bayer Leverkusen once again showed resilience to actually got a draw in the game to keep their unbeaten alive. As the clock was wining down I thought maybe it was going to be broken but as always Leverkusen find a way in the last minutes to create history

United, Newcastle and Chelsea are not participating in the battle for the Champions League even if the Premier League had 5 tickets there. Tottenham and Aston Villa are competing for the 4th ticket and if the Premier League received the 5th, these teams would play in the Champions League next season.
Bayer has a game ahead with Dortmund, which needs 3 points, but not very much (since Germany has 5 tickets to the Champions League), so I hope for the continuation of this phenomenal series.

I have imagine it before and that is what happened to Liverpool, Liverpool can not defeat Atlanta in Atlanta stadium, because that will be very difficult for Liverpool, Atlanta defeat Liverpool in Liverpool stadium with 3 goals and Liverpool can’t do anything about it, that makes me believe that Liverpool will be eliminate from this Europa League, from yesterday match of Liverpool and Atlanta, the match is very tough because the both teams are playing very well and if not be the penalty that Liverpool had in the game Liverpool can not even score a single goal in the game.

The only trophy can win this season is English super cup and they have won it already, because no matter how hard Liverpool play now they can’t win premier league again, the reason why I say that Liverpool can not win the premier league is because two teams are ahead of them, and those teams are teams with good performances. In fact let just imagine that Manchester City have won the premier league trophy because after Real Madrid eliminate Manchester City in quarter final of champion league, Manchester City will focus on premier league than any other team and they can win the league because they are presently leading in the league.

It is true that in a competition, anything can happen and that is undeniable. In the Europa League, Liverpool gave their best but our achievements only reached the quarter-finals.

To the great Liverpool, You'll Never Walk Alone.

Final prediction, I only support Bayer Leverkusen. Who will be their opponents, no comment from me.
This is Europa League and Liverpool is not the only club that feels the same way to be eliminated when they are favorites because previously in the last 2 seasons there were names of Barcelona and Napoli who actually had to admit that Frankfurt was much better and last season there were Barcelona and Manchesrter United who also had to admit that a club in pain like Sevilla had a much better performance in the Europa League than them so this season Liverpool and Milan are the next victims.

Now indeed after Liverpool disappeared from the competition, it is certain that the biggest hope is in Leverkusen, especially at this time Xabi with his unbeaten magic is still maintained, besides that the treble winner motivation for Leverkusen is still very open, so there is no reason for Xabi and Leverkusen not to be favored now but even so, the Semi-finals and Finals cannot be underestimated because after all the 4 clubs currently in the semi-finals clearly have the same opportunity to become champions so Leverkusen must not waver at this time.

Liverpool were surprisingly eliminated after losing to Atalanta, even though previously Liverpool were one of the favorite teams to win the Europa League trophy this season. But yes, that's football, anything can happen. But my prediction is that the Europa League final this season will be between Leverkusen vs Atalanta and the winner of the Europa League Trophy this season will be Leverkusen.
We have failed to see our team in contention for the title in the Europa League and I would like to congratulate Atalanta. Now we will put our full focus on the Premier League because the competition for the Premier League title is still very possible for us to achieve.

Final between Liverpool and Leverkusen could have been epic and all fans of football wanted this to happen. But Liverpool couldnt make up that 0:3 from first game. When i saw the early goal i was expecting 3-4 more goals in this match but Atalanta just holded the result and knocked out Liverpool. Liverpool changed players because they need to save them and attack the premier league title with all they got.

It's not that AC Milan is bad, but the Arema team's game is quite good and it must be admitted that even though they have to play with 10 players, their defense is quite strong and the team's game is still well organized so this makes it difficult for AC Milan, especially since Roma was already ahead. 2 goals, I think Roma is better than AC Milan and they deserve to advance to the semifinals.
It's sad to see AC Milan play. After this defeat, Pioli and the squad he has should be ashamed of himself. At least now, there is no reason to keep Pioli. The reason is that last year, he was saved in the semifinals of the Champions League. However, this season AC Milan really doesn't look like a strong team, As Roma played with 10 players from the first half but AC Milan under coach Pioli couldn't recover. Yes, of course, with its current performance, As Roma deserves to advance to the semifinals.

Quote
Liverpool's elimination means that Leverkusen and Roma are the two favorite teams for now, but for both of them it will not be easy because the semifinals are about readiness and mentality, any team that is in the semifinals will certainly be ready and give everything to be able to produce their best performance.

Liverpool looked very strange in this game and it is not clear whether it is fatigue of Liverpool players who did not have enough energy for the second half or Liverpool realizing that Manchester City and Arsenal are out of the European Cup and also decided not to play at full strength, and focus on the EPL.
In addition, according to statistics, a team that concedes 3 goals in the first game is practically deprived of any chance of advancing to the next round.
This year, none of the English clubs reached the final 1\2, neither in the Champions League nor in the Europa League.
Aston Villa are the only ones left in the conference league. The last time this situation was 9 years ago.
In the UCL and in the European League, all teams from the Premier League have been eliminated. And actually this is quite surprising because I feel that the teams from the Premier League have actually had a rapid improvement in their performance this season. But strangely everything failed. And maybe this is the interesting thing about football. Which is always hard to predict. Even a good performance in the domestic league cannot be guaranteed in a bigger league.

Teams from Italy in the UCL have also been eliminated early. But in the European League it turns out that teams from Italy dominate. Because currently Atalanta and Roma are both in the semi-finals of the European League. And this is a matter of great pride for the clubs from Serie A.

For the Marseille vs Atalanta match, I think Atalanta will really be the favorite. In fact, I also think that Atalanta will win both legs in the semi-finals. Because Atalanta was even able to make Liverpool suffer quite a crushing defeat. So beating Marseille won't be that difficult. But still, we cannot underestimate any team in the semi-finals. Because when Atalanta played Liverpool, many of us underestimated Atalanta. But it turns out that Atalanta managed to beat Liverpool in the first leg very perfectly. And this is what also makes me think that even though I favor Atalanta, Marseille could still surprise us by beating Atalanta quite decisively. For the Roma and Leverkusen match, I think it will be difficult. But I hope Roma can win.

I'm sure Leverkusen will win. Of course this is a difficult match. No one thought that AS Roma could beat AC Milan, which is the second best club in Serie A. But anything can happen in football. My only correct prediction was Leverkusen. I think most fans are like that too. This semifinal match is really interesting because all the previous favorite teams have been eliminated except Leverkusen.

Liverpool's previous goal score was low which resulted in them losing the match against Atalanta on aggregate score.  Although Liverpool was ahead by 1 goal in this match, they fell behind in the aggregate score. Liverpool's performance did not improve even in the quarter final match.  It is failure for them.  It is unacceptable that a team like Atalanta beat Liverpool in the semi-finals. Liverpool lost by 2 goals to Atalanta on AGG Method. It was a big gap

Seriously, it's shocking to see Liverpool eliminated from UEL by Atalanta. Atalanta were a bit shaky in the first half but Liverpool failed to utilize the opportunity. They were busy passing backwards instead of trying to play forward and create chances and Atalanta became superb in the second half without giving Liverpool the chance again. They controlled Liverpool easily. Liverpool needs to work on their goal scoring because they have failed to score in open play in their last three games now. Since their draw against Manchester united, Liverpool has been struggling, there is no motivation and passion anymore. The confidence is seems to be lost and Klopp has really run out of ideas because every of his substitution kill the game more this days. I really pity Klopp because this is not a good way to part with Liverpool.

Don't blame Liverpool for their dismal performance yesterday. There's a lot on Jurgen Klopp's plate right now and he has already settled within himself that he can't get all the titles before leaving the club and the surprise humiliation they got in the first leg was another thing that sort of made them put less effort. The premier league is shaking at the moment but chances of Man City taking it this time again are more likely than that of Liverpool and all this things can make a very good coach lose focus.
Liverpool were desperate to salvage something yesterday but Atalanta literally boxed them in, frustrating every effort made by the front men of Liverpool. It's kind of funny that Alexander Arnold declared they will win the treble since he's now back but the reverse is now the case. Maybe he made a wrong move by talking too soon? For now the table is still competitive and I feel they can still salvage something if they keep their heads down and avoid dropping points.
