As previously predicted, Atalanta was more focused on playing defensively when facing Liverpool in the second leg after winning quite convincingly in the first leg with a score of 0-3. Looking the match statistic, Atalanta has only 30% ball possession dominance and less shots on target than Liverpool since on the first minutes try controlling the games by leading 70% ball possession with 5 shots on target. I think Liverpool failed get advantage after leading on the early since 7th minutes match begin after Salah scoring goals.

Even we have first goal through penalty but still as things started most of the fans were optimistic about the chance of fight back but their aggression and positive approach in this game were not enough for them to score 3 goals, and they fail to create any better chance in rest of the match which was just because of good strategy from the Atlanta for this match which helps them for having now semi-final against French side Marseille.

Even Liverpool is having ideal season and things were going as well planned but sadly in last few games they lost their touch and have bad results which give them serious setback, and now they are eliminated from this event and their chance for the title in Premier League are also not good enough which is surely setback for them while their coach is now also having last few games as coach, and he is leaving this club after many years of job.

Salah penalty goal in the early minutes of the game was actually able to lift the morale of the Liverpool players at that time, but unfortunately the defense and play from Atlanta were solid enough to make Salah's goal the only goal created in the game while eliminating Liverpool from the current Europa League champion competition, a big defeat in the first leg certainly made Liverpool's chances to rise in the second leg will be very difficult and it was proven when Liverpool started playing in the second leg,Although they played very well in the game  but it was too late for them to chase the 3-goal deficit created by Atlanta in the first leg.
After Salah goal, I was pretty sure that Liverpool would be able to come back to at least level the aggregate goals in the game but it turned out that my estimate was wrong after no more goals were scored throughout the game.

Previously all of us including me were very sure if one of the teams between Leverkusen and Milan would meet Liverpool in the Champions League final this season, but it was quite unfortunate that besides Leverkusen the team that I was favorite before was eliminated before entering the semi-finals of the Europa League this season, I personally believe if Milan and Liverpool will be able to overcome the resistance of their opponents but in fact now both teams must be eliminated from the Europa League from a team that has never been seeded this season.

I was very surprised when Liverpool were able to score this goal and at the same time it could increase the motivation of the Reds players so they could immediately catch up with the existing aggregate difference. But it seems that the Atalanta that we know are not weak at all and instead they can correct existing mistakes so that they don't concede again. This should be appreciated considering that the pressure from Liverpool never stopped threatening Atalanta's defense.

I think Atalanta deserved to win because even if they persisted, they were enough to secure a place in the semifinals of the European League and they have not been careless for a moment since the failure that occurred. Liverpool certainly experienced immense frustration and they had to leave the European League when most people favored them to bring this cup home to Anfield.

First leg defeat was enough for them to eliminate from this event because things were completely out of the control while they concede 3 goals, and then we have no good display of game from them in second leg game while Atlanta done good defensive tactics which helps them for having lost by just 1 goal and qualify for the semifinal of the Europa League but as we have first quick goal there were few hopes they can do much better but Atlanta done good job with even all control were done by Liverpool but still fail to score any goal.

Liverpool players body language were also looking not positive which clearly showing they are not going to have enough chance for going through into next round now we will have another tricky game which Marseille will face Atlanta in semifinal and other game is going to be more entertaining while Roma will face Leverkusen.

Atalanta managed to maintain its 3-0 advantage, although I was excited when Salah scored an early goal in the second match, Atalanta did what needed to be done and eliminated Liverpool. I was not expecting such an ending for Liverpool, I was also eagerly waiting for the Liverpool-Bayern Leverkusen final, but Liverpool was the team that said goodbye to the Europa League early.

Klopp tried everything in the second half, brought all his attacking players into the game and increased the risk, but it did not work, Atalanta was solid in the defensive line.

I agree that Liverpool's early goal gave hope. Seriously, one goal? This was like taking a knife to a gunfight, given their deficit. They didnt look like "comeback kings" in their prior encounters. Atalanta's defense was too organized for Liverpool to score, so I wasnt surprised.

If they had been more persistent in the first leg, perhaps the story would be different. Maybe Atalanta would have been more nervous then. It felt inevitable at the time. Liverpool had to play better in such a crucial encounter.

I dont know how Atalanta managed to not fall into pieces after that super fast goal from Liverpool, because it was the only thing they have to avoid, a early goal from Liverpool can make them very weak again, but they show us some really good mental strenght and that goal means nothing for the game after all.

After Liverpool lost the first leg of their UEFA Europa League against Atalanta last week Thursday with a three goal margin, I knew they're definitely going to fight to come back in the second leg of the tie. However, I was also of the opinion that Atalanta will be solid enough to resist them from winning the tie at the end of the day. A friend of mine before the match staked that Atalanta will still beat Liverpool in the second leg but I told him not to waste his money and advised him to stake on Liverpool win or Atalanta to go through to the semi finals.
I strongly believe that Liverpool will win the the second leg at Atalanta but will not be able to win with a margin that'll guarantee them qualification to the next stage of the competition

Before the match started, Jurgen Klopp had predicted that his team would achieve less than satisfactory results at Atalanta headquarters. Liverpool started the match with a heavy burden after losing heavily in the first leg, it was very difficult for his team to score three goals or more at the headquarters of an opponent who was trying to secure a ticket to the semifinals. Klopp smile after the final whistle sounded was a sign that he had accepted this bitter reality due to the mistakes made in the first leg.

There was no pressure at all for the home team, Atalanta managed to carry out their plan with a more dominant waiting game while occasionally counter attack. Liverpool which was previously favored as one of the clubs capable of reaching the final was eliminated sooner than expected. This result was certainly very disappointing for Klopp because he failed to win his first Europa League trophy.

Yes indeed, a quick goal in the seventh minute like that, at least has managed to make me smile. Because of course, with the success of making a quick goal in the first half like that, basically really gave Liverpool a great chance to be able to comeback. But unfortunately, although Liverpool were still able to dominate the match but Liverpool failed to be able to comeback in this second leg and made Liverpool eliminated. But at least, basically I personally am not too surprised by Liverpool's failure because after all, basically I also favor Bayer Leverkusen to win the Europa League title this season, not Liverpool. But, because Liverpool's hype was so big, then I began to recognize Liverpool as a title candidate, despite the fact that I still doubted it, and the result was true that Liverpool were eliminated.

Yeah, we are have same expectations to see Liverpool can create at least  3 goals on this match to give them hope. but the only 1 goal from Liverpool can't change anything. Something bad look like happens to Liverpool  in the last 2 matches. They are favorite, but they are must be go out from UEL. Will see, maybe Atalanta come for title for the first time, or they are stopped. Their motivation maybe can bring them to the final. interesting match if UEL become all Italian final.

Yes, it is a shame that clubs from competitive leagues have to be eliminated in all international competitions even though EPL teams are usually the favorites to win the international title, but they all have to be eliminated in the last eight. Indeed, they all have opponents that are not easy and obstacles occur when they have Entering this round, what was even more surprising was Liverpool's defeat against Atalanta, even though people predicted that Liverpool would beat Atalanta easily, but the performance of the Serie A representative club cannot be underestimated.

And I also really want to see Leverkusen meet Atalanta in the final if Leverkusen cannot be beaten by Roma in the semifinal match.

In the return match, Atalanta just needed to play well in defense, they coped with the task perfectly, and Liverpool, of course tried to dominate, but in the first match they allowed Atalanta to gain too much of an advantage to hope for any positive outcome in the future.
I also really liked yesterday how Roma played with Milan, De Rossi breathed new strength into the team, this is a completely different team than it was with Mourinho, and they deserved the victory over Milan, even taking into account the fact that they were forced to play in the minority, for them this didn't become a problem.

Liverpool actually had several good opportunities, but they couldn't take advantage of those opportunities optimally. Even in the second half, it was quite clear that Liverpool were starting to lose their composure. Their rhythm of play was not as good as in the first half and the players looked very frustrated because Atalanta defended quite solidly. I think Liverpool was too confident in the first leg, and they didn't expect that Atalanta would be able to score 3 goals when the match was held at Anfield Stadium.

It's a shame, how regretful it is for Jurgen Klopp to have to discover the bitter reality that the team he managed ultimately failed to meet the fans' expectations. Klopp just smiled when the final whistle sounded, while he shook his head when his team was unable to break into Atalanta's goal which was closely guarded by Juan Musso.

Atalanta is certainly very comfortable playing total defense throughout the match while utilizing counter-attack schemes, that's because they are leading 3-1 on aggregate. Liverpool also have to face the bitter reality that it seems difficult for them to expect Arsenal and Manchester City to slip at the top of the standings. Manchester City, who both failed in the Champions League with Arsenal, seems to be very focused on maintaining their position at the top of the standings, at least that will be a sedative for all their fans.

Yeah the result didn't surprise me either as I was expecting to see it. But if Liverpool were able to maintain their scoring performance after Salah's goal maybe it might have been a more interesting game.

Atalanta seem like a really determined team in this tournament. At first I thought this would be the end of the road for them but after seeing the way they beat Liverpool my vision about them has changed.    Now they are going to face Marseille in the semi finals. Despite knowing how good the work Marseille did was against Benfica I still see Atalanta one step ahead. If Atalanta get a decent result away first then I don't feel like they would let Marseille win this matchup.

Shit happens to the liverpool yesterday. Salah did nothing to help club from being dropped off europa laegue. Liverpool has failed and numerous speculations about liverpool was gonna face leverkusen has vanished. Things are changing a lot at this time by seeing how liverpool was trying so hard to make the situation better.
The reds has EPL as the remaining competition to win. The main problem if liverpool may be also bottling it since manchester city is leading the competition with two points more compared to the arsenal or liverpool. Fans are starting to blame their favorite club caused by the inconsistency from the players.
Atalanta is now winning the duel against liverpool, which is proving if club is stronger than liverpool. it's not about luck or unlucky you are.

Things are bad for Liverpool and even bigger, bad for Premier League. Defeats of their clubs from Champions League to Europa League actually affect their chances to compete for an extra spot in Champions League.

This season changes from very promising to nearly nothing for Liverpool and Klopp. They already ended in Europa League and in Premier League, a defeat last week is like a suicide from Liverpool to give advantage in the race to Manchester City. Klopp and Liverpool will not give up easily in Premier League but they will need both Manchester City and Arsenal lose points in last 6 match days.

They will have 6 more matches to fight and 6 more chances to hope for gifts from Manchester City and Arsenal.
